The Y60 was radically different mechanically from its predecessors as it was the first patrol with coil sprung suspension, increasing comfort and rough ground handling. All Y60 patrols had a three-link live axle suspension set-up at the front, with all wagons (SWB and LWB) adopting a five-link set-up at the rear.

rear side window replacement options

Hi, Just new here. Just wandering if anyone has information on replacing the rear sliding windows on a LWB Maverick.I am going to tint the windows and thought it would be good to change the sliders first. brujo

hey brujo, what exactly do you whant to do?? swap the sliders for solid glass? or just replace the frames for the sliders?? you can get new frames from nissan but at around 300 each!! ouch... or get some solid glass from a wrecker or a windscreen mob and some new rubbers... cheers jason  

Hi Bruno, Rear sliders LWB- Baine of my life till I finally gave in and got a set from Nissan in Lismore for $230 a side (Sept 07). I know a few people on here will be glad to hear it, bitched about it heaps. Mate, I looked at every option available and in the end, NISSAN. There are alloy frames available, however once you fork out for freight and new rubbers around $350 a side. Solids are great if you plan to never use your rear seats again, however unless there the proper Nissan ones then they do look a bit silly sitting so far inside the frames. Sorry I didn't like this option so never priced it. The wreckers, forget it........  

Not that much $380 will buy both side frames and rubbers. All you need to re use is the glass and the vertical divider.  

ah ah Nizzbits, sorry to hijack the thread but I seem to recall a note from you I can no longer find. You gave info on part numbers for a GQ SWB solid / fixed side windows ?????? I've searched lots and no one can come up with the info. It would appear that the GQ SWB was never came with / was not a option for solid side windows, is this true ? HELP!!!  

Right now i'm running perspex! Though i'm led to believe the comp guys use lexan(much safer). very simple to fit, you can buy the rubber from Clarks. MQs dont fit as the GQ rear is apparently curved. On another site i read of a mob who make the glass for GQ SWB, dunno if they still there. try SWB WINDOWS WEST (WA) 0894379277  

Hi all had my rear window frames replaced with aluminium ones 6 mths ago (SWB) at windows west in WA great bunch to deel with ,no more rusty frames cost 400 bucks fitted. MAVROD
