Resorts World Manila, now rebranded as Newport World Resorts in Newport, Pasay is without a doubt, one of the hottest lifestyle hubs in the country today. Pinoy Hotdogs Take Centerstage @ Franks in Resorts World Manila
“ Filipino hotdogs ” gives us images of the bright red, grocery store bought sausages that can be seen everywhere from the breakfast table, to carinderias, or to virtually every kid’s birthday party in the Philippines.
But today, Franks in Resorts World Manila elevates the usual concept of the ‘ Pinoy Hotdog ‘ into another level!
Pinoy Hotdags @ Franks
Franks , a sports snack bar inside Resorts World Manila ’s gaming area, takes the humble hotdog and gives it not just a gourmet spin, but a truly Filipino one – without a hint of red food coloring in sight.
What you get are freshly made hotdogs made with distinctly Filipino flavors and they are:
- Chicken Inasal
- Chicken Pork Adobo
- Bistek Tagalog
Franks’ Pinoy Hotdogs go beyond just adding toppings on a standard-issue sausage. Each hotdog is crafted according to what it claims to be – the Chicken Inasal hotdog is indeed made with chicken that has been marinated in Inasal sauces and this is evident even when eaten plain.
The annatto oil, crispy garlic and annatto bits, spring onions, and other garnishes all just add up to the inasal experience.
As for the Chicken Pork Adobo and Bistek Tagalog hotdogs, they are generously slathered with adobo and bistek sauces.
These Pinoy hotdogs are clearly true to the taste of the classic Pinoy dishes!
Moreover, to complement the savory tartness, Franks in Resorts World Manila also serves a selection of premium beers, a classic soda fountain, sports bar snacks, and desserts. Please do take note that guests must be at least 21 years old to enter Franks at gaming area.
Visit www.rwmanila.com or download the RWM Mobile App for updates and complete information on RWM’s dining offers. RWM members can get exclusive app-only vouchers by syncing their membership numbers with the app.
Franks ’ Pinoy Hotdogs are available daily at Franks, GF Garden Wing Gaming Area of Resorts World Manila .

RESORTS WORLD CRUISES | Food Guide ~ What & Where To Eat On Resorts World One
When people ask me what’s the best thing about being on a Resorts World One cruise , I always tell them that besides the destination we visit, it’s really the food. And with good reasons, it is culinary heaven. Food choices range from Western, Italian, South East Asian, Japanese, and of course, Chinese—since the ship is based in Hong Kong. It has three inclusive restaurants—which means eating there is free of charge—seven premium specialty restaurants, five food booths, two bars, and one exclusive restaurant reserved for Palace guests—the most expensive class on the ship.
Dining on Resorts World Cruises can be a bit daunting and confusing, considering the number of food places you can eat on. So, here’s a food guide for an overview of what to eat and where to eat when on a Resorts World One cruise. The restaurants are grouped by type, then sequenced from the lower deck to the upper deck of the ship. Happy eating!
INCLUSIVE RESTAURANTS
Since these are free of charge, these are the most popular restaurants on board Resorts World One. Note, however, that you can only eat for free once during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That means, when you’ve already eaten at, for example, Dream Dining Room during breakfast, you can’t eat at Pavillion or The Lido, or even at Dream again for that same period. But, if you really want to, well, you can—you’ll just have to incur a charge on your card. They do swipe your card when you enter to keep track of guests.
If you’re unsure where to eat, you can check the buffet table first before actually having your card swiped, just ask the crew manning the entrance nicely, and they’ll let you in.
During our cruise aboard Resorts World One, I actually made a comparison of the dishes being served at these three buffet restaurants for breakfast. And I observed that all of them has almost the same dishes being served, with a very few minor differences. So, for breakfast, the choice actually boils down to the ambience you’re looking for when eating. Personally, I like eating al fresco, so the Lido Grill is the perfect one for me. Note that this only pertains to breakfast, for lunch and dinner, Dream and Pavillion serves totally different dishes to The Lido. Free drinks are also provided for the buffets which consist of a couple of fruit juices (usually apple and orange), hot and cold water, and brewed coffee. Fresh fruit juice, soft drinks, and beers are also available, but you need to purchase them separately.
Dream Dining Room
Housed in a grand room with a high ceiling, massive windows framing the ocean, walls decorated with ornate moldings, and hung with classical paintings, Dream Dining Room is the swankiest of the Resorts World One inclusive restaurants.
They serve buffet Western and Chinese cuisine during breakfast, but shifts to purely Western for their plated lunch and dinner meals. This is as fine dining as it gets for Resorts World One. We dined here on our first night en route to Kaohsiung and I found their boiled beef with horseradish cream sauce to be really good.
OPENING HOURS: Breakfast 6:30AM to 9:30AM, Lunch 11:30AM to 2:00PM, Dinner 5:30PM to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 6 Aft
Pavillion Dining Room
Soft red chairs and tables with immaculate white tablecloth on a cozily lit dining hall characterizes Pavillion. They serve plated Chinese dishes for lunch and dinner, specializing in dimsums, noodles, and congees. They do serve the same combination of Western and Chinese dishes during breakfast, with the addition of a few more Chinese side dishes.
OPENING HOURS: Breakfast 6:00AM to 8:00AM, Lunch 12:00NN to 2:00PM, Dinner 5:30PM to 8:30PM LOCATION: Deck 6 Mid
The Lido & Lido Grill
The largest of the three buffet restaurants on the ship, The Lido serves a combination of buffet Western and Chinese dishes for breakfast, light brunch, lunch, afternoon light snack, dinner, and midnight light snack. The lay-out is typical for buffet restaurants, with cafeteria-style serving stations, and numerous tables and seats with a view of the sea. It also has an al fresco area, the Lido Grill, where you can eat on with an even grander view of the sea.
Be warned though, this restaurant really gets busy as most guests on the cruise eat here. So, either go early, or go during the tail end of their dining hours. Or simply endure the line, they’re pretty organized so you’d get a seat in a few minutes time.
While food selection is adequate, I felt that their noodle dish—a rotation of fried bee hon and fried egg noodles—should be rotated with other dishes more frequently as they seem to be on the buffet table every single time—it does get a bit tiring. I was also rather disappointed with their bacon, which isn’t as crispy and smoky as I prefer mine to be.
But to be fair, this is where I can be found most of the time. And some of the notable dishes that made its mark on me were their French toast, pork dumplings, roti prata with chicken curry, congee, tuna salad, boiled shrimp, and Taiwanese egg omelet and braised pork. Good stuff!
MEAL HOURS: Breakfast 6:00AM to 9:00AM, Lunch 12:00NN to 2:00PM, Dinner 5:30PM to 9:00PM SNACK HOURS: 10:00AM to 11:30AM, 3:00PM to 5:00PM, 10:00PM to 2:00AM LOCATION: Deck 12 Aft
PREMIUM SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS
These are Resorts World One’s seven specialty restaurants situated along the different areas of the ship. Food here are plated and ordered ala carte—no buffets—and are paid using your room keycard.
Vintage Room
The Vintage Room serves Western dishes and only opens for dinner.
OPENING HOURS: 5:30AM to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 7 Mid
A Chinese fine dining restaurant which opens during lunch and dinner.
OPENING HOURS: 12:00NN to 2:00PM, 5:30 to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 7 Mid
Mozzarella Ristorante & Pizzeria
Located on a brightly lit part of the ship’s central area, which you’ll always pass by en route to Zodiac Theater, they serve pizza and pasta.
OPENING HOURS: 11:00PM to 11:00AM LOCATION: Deck 7 Mid
Blue Lagoon
Parallel to the Ristorante, the Blue Lagoon serves hawker food from South East Asia. At first glance, I thought they were serving Japanses food due to the paper lamps above their tables, lol.
We were able to try out their dishes just before we disembarked from Resorts World One. Their Singapore laksa and Malaysian char kway teow was not only delicious, but spot on legit. Serving size is also quite generous. I was unable to finish my bowl of laksa —not because it’s bad, but it is simply enormous—and shared it with my friends.
Umi Uma literally translates to Sea Horse, it is Resorts World One’s Japanase Restaurant. Their menu range from sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, bento, teishoku set menus, hot and cold noodles, agemono deep fried dishes, and donburi rice bowls.
I ordered my usual Japanese combo, katsudon and ebi tempura , but unfortunately they don’t serve katsudon —my only gripe for Umi Uma, lol. I settled for their kitsune udon with inari instead. The noodle dish was just okay for me, but the ebi tempura was quite good. The macha ice cream with sweet beans for desserts was even better.
Umi Uma also has a teppanyaki bar and a beautiful private tatami room —where I wished we have dined on for a full Japanese experience. We were too big a group though to fit in.
OPENING HOURS: 12:00NN to 2:00PM, 5:30 to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 8 Mid
As the name implies, the restaurant serves hotpots. We personally weren’t able to try this, but apparently, it’s not a communal hotpot where you get to cook your food on a single big pot, but rather they have it on single pots each. You get to choose your soup base, choice of veggies, and meats.
OPENING HOURS: 5:30PM to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 8 Aft
Seafood Grill
One of the best spots to eat on at Resorts World One is at the Seafood Grill at top-most deck of the ship. The grill only opens for early dinner, perfect for catching the sunset while having your barbecue. They also offer hotpots.
OPENING HOURS: 5:30PM to 9:00PM LOCATION: Deck 13 Fwd
FOOD BOOTHS
Resorts World One also has mini food kiosks that serves specialized snacks and desserts. Purchases here are also swiped on your room key card.
Located at, err, the lobby or the main piazza, Lobby Café serves mostly breads and pastries. It’s the most accessible place to get food and drinks while hanging out at the Grand Piazza where live bands play, and workshops, seminars, and bingos are held. And yes, they do serve alcohol.
OPENING HOURS: 7:00AM to 1:00AM LOCATION: Deck 7 Mid
A dessert station surrounding the Mahjong Lounge serving different kinds of matcha desserts.
OPENING HOURS: 11:00AM to 11:00PM LOCATION: Deck 7 Mid
The Little Cake Café
Part of the Mahjong Lounge food group, this shop specializes in cakes, particularly cheese cakes.
Still in the vicinity of the Mahjong Lounge. Bread Box is the ship’s bakeshop. It serves freshly baked bread slices and pastries, perfect for a cup of coffee.
Situated right beside the Resorts World One’s Parthenon Pool is the Gelateria. It serves different flavors of gelato and ice cream for hot summer days in the midst of the ocean.
OPENING HOURS: 10:00AM to 10:00PM LOCATION: Deck 12 Mid
BARS & LOUNGE
And where’s the fun in a cruise if you’re going to stay dry. Here are a couple of places to drink on Resorts World One while at high seas.
If you simply want to lounge and watch as Resorts World One sails through the sea, the Palm Court is the perfect place for such. They have a good selection of beers, cocktails, and spirts just for the occasion.
OPENING HOURS: 10:00AM to 2:00AM LOCATION: Deck 12 Fwd
Sun Deck Bar
Located at the topmost deck of Resorts World One, the Sun Deck Bar is the best place to have that cold bottle of beer, or a cocktail—your choice, of course. And since it sits right beside the Seafood Grill, you can drink your alcohol and have your grilled bar chow too.
OPENING HOURS: 10:00AM to 11:00PM, Snack 11:30PM to 10:00PM LOCATION: Deck 13 Fwd
THE PALACE RESTAURANT
Accessible only to The Palace guests, the Palace Restaurant serves menu from almost all of the restaurants aboard Resorts World One combined. Well, it is indeed as exclusive as it gets onboard the cruise ship.
LOCATION: Deck 10 Aft

GINZADON – Japanese and Korean Restaurant in Maxims Hotel, Resorts World Manila
WHEN IN Resorts World MANILA , let your taste buds explore two different cultures at Ginzadon . “The restaurant’s name was derived from the upscale district in Tokyo ‘Ginza’, and the Korean term for money ‘don’. This rather odd but equally delicious tandem only heightened what the best of both worlds has to offer to fans of both cuisines.”
Conveniently located at the second floor of Maxims Hotel , Ginzadon is the go-to place for family dinners or get-together with friends, especially after an eventful evening in Resorts World Manila . Just to be clear, GINZADON is not a fusion restaurant. It is a Japanese Restaurant and a Korean Restaurant at the same time. So you are definitely getting the best of both worlds when you dine here.
Ginzadon’s soft-lighting provides dining experience a more intimate and relaxed feeling. It also speaks for elegance and romance, which makes it a good place to bring your date! 🙂
You may also find a wide selection of sake and soju displayed at the sushi bar, hinting at the possibilities of fun ahead 🙂 The dining staffs are also trained in sake pairing and they can recommend which refreshing sake/soju would best complement your food.
GINZADON – JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Gekkeikan Zipang Sparkling (Php 850)
Since we were having sashimis and sushis as appetizers, our server recommended the Gekkeikan Zipang Sparkling Sake. It was similar to sparkling wine – perfect with our Japanese appetizers.
Sashimi Moriawase Matsu (Sashimi Special – Php 1,680)
Tako, Uni, Sake, Tuna, Hamachi, Saba, Hokkigai
I was so happy that Ginzadon included hamachi and hokkigai in the sashimi platter. Hokkigai or “Surf Clam” is not usually included in the menu of common Japanese Restaurants . If you are wondering what it tastes like, it is a bit sweet and chewy in texture. And yes, it is yummy! As for the hamachi or “Yellow Tail,” it is one of my all-time favorite sashimi. The selection of Ginzadon’s sashimi special platter was wonderful – with lively colors that made my eyes go wide with excitement and the images told my brain to just go dig in asap! This is the perfect appetizer for sashimi lovers!
Sushi Moriawase Matsu (Sushi Special – Php 840)
California Maki | Sushi – hokkigai, hamachi, tako, sake, ama-ebi, saba, uni, tuna
Ginzadon’s Sushi Special Platter was really worth the price!!! I loved the fact that they used 2 ama-ebis (sweet shrimp) on 1 sushi. It was heaven in my mouth – so fresh and so sweet! I was apprehensive to eat the saba at first. I do love saba (mackerel) — when cooked because the smell and taste of a raw saba is a bit too fishy for me; but, surprisingly, Ginzadon’s saba sushi was not fishy at all, having been marinated already, the texture and flavor was so good that I wish we had more.
Dragon Roll (Php 785)
Fried king prawn tempura + cucumber + kani + mango inside topped with grilled salmon skin drizzled with teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds.
This is just one of Ginzadon’s latest addition to their menu and it was truly extraordinary! Usually, dragon rolls use unagi as the roll topper but Ginzadon’s version had the salmon skin, which was so tasty – great combination with the huge king prawn tempura!
It was hard to put this single piece of maki inside my mouth but I did try — *nomnomnom* and it took me a while to be able to talk again because it was BIG. As you can see, there was very little rice on their roll – you’re getting all the flavors of the tempura, kani, salmon skin and many more in every bite!
Ebi Tempura (4pcs – Php 550)
Our Japanese food trip won’t be complete without having tempura. Ginzadon batters the prawns very lightly so that you actually get to savor the prawn itself.
Indeed, those ebi tempuras are one of the best-sellers at GINZADON ! Adults and kids alike love them!
GINZADON – KOREAN RESTAURANT
We had house tea to clean our palates and refresh ourselves to another interesting batch of great food.
Tofu Kim Chi (Php 680)
GINZADON is very proud of their kimchi because their very own korean chef makes Ginzadon’s special kimchi!!! The Tofu Kim Chi dish is the perfect Korean appetizer. The soft tofu balanced the zesty and salty kimchi. Though it may be fiery to others, I personally loved it. Ready your napkins as you wipe your sweat off your foreheads. By the way, this authentic kimchi is a big hit to their Korean customers as well.
Bi Bim Naengmyeon (Chilled Buckwheat Noodle soup with Spicy Sauce – Php 380)
The spicy cold noodle soup is a combination of sweet Korean sauce and spicy ground beef. Buckwheat noodles are chewy, so just like in any other Korean restaurant , it would help if you ask the server to cut it for you. You may eat the spicy noodle mix first then drink the soup as a chaser or you may pour the cold soup in the bowl and mix it together with the spicy noodles. Eat in any other way you like and you still get that unique intriguing taste!
Gal Bi Jim (Braised Prime Beef Short Ribs – Php 1,240)
GINZADON’s braised black angus beef was so tender that I can easily cut it with my spoon. The succulent beef was rich in flavor, perfect with a bowl of rice. It was so good – definitely one of my favorites! A MUST TRY INDEED!!!
Chef Antonio Ablay (Head Chef of Ginzadon, Maxims Hotel, Resorts World Manila)
WHEN IN MANILA and looking for an authentic Japanese and Korean experience, bring your date, whole family and friends to GINZADON at Maxims Hotel, Resorts World Manila . Chef Antonio Ablay will surely fulfill everyone’s gastronomic delights!

It was a perfect place to stay whenever you need one that is near the airport. The place was exactly how it was in the pictures. Sir Omar and Sir Paolo were very accommodating and easy to contact. The location is near restaurants and grocery. The rooms were comfy and has all you need even for cooking. I highly recommend the place. I would book again in the future.
