While his Hollywood plans may be up in the air after his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp knows exactly what he’s doing next summer. He’s going on a tour of Europe with his rock band, the Hollywood Vampires.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor will rejoin bandmates and rock personalities Joe Perry, Alice Cooper and Tommy Henriksen for their upcoming summer 2023 gigs in Germany and Luxembourg.

“The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!!” the band’s official Instagram posted on Wednesday.

According to the social media post, the four-person band will play six shows throughout the month of June next summer. The first show will be in Oberhausen, Germany, at the Rudolf Weber-Arena on June 20, 2023. The post also teases that fans should “keep an eye out for more to come...”

The Hollywood Vampires will hit the road nearly three years after canceling their European summer tour twice due to COVID-19. The Europe shows were initially slated for 2020 but rescheduled to 2021 due to COVID-related safety concerns. Then in 2021, the band revealed via social media posts that it would reschedule its 2021 tour due to COVID-19 traveling restrictions.

The news of the group’s upcoming tour dates comes just weeks after Depp won approximately $10.4 million in the contentious defamation trial against ex-wife Heard. The trial, which came to a close earlier this month after six weeks, also saw jurors award Heard $2 million in damages.

Johnny Depp has announced the revival of his supergroup, The Hollywood Vampires , for a 2023 European tour.

The actor will reunite with the band’s core members, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry , with whom he formed the group in 2012.

Rhythm guitarist Tommy Henriksen, who performed with them during their 2015 debut live performance in Los Angeles, will also be joining.

On Tuesday (21 June), the rock band’s official Instagram shared the news alongside a new tour poster.

The caption reads: “The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We’re coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023!

“Tickets go on sale Monday 27 June at 11:00am CET.”

Since their formation, the group have released two studio albums, Hollywood Vampires (2015) and Rise (2019).

The news follows Depp’s legal victory in his high-profile defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard .

A jury found that Heard had defamed Depp on all three counts and awarded him $10m (£8m) in compensatory damages and $5m (£4m) in punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2m (£1.6m) in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages.

Before and after his trial win, the actor and musician was seen performing around the UK with rocker Jeff Beck, ahead of the pair’s forthcoming album, which releases next month .

Recently, Depp issued a warning to fans addressing the rise in fake profiles pretending to be him.

Heard however sat down last week with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie in her first full-length TV interview since the trial .

The Hollywood Vampires are going to go back on the road. Following Johnny Depp 's recent trial win, the Edward Scissorhands star's band — a supergroup that also includes Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen — has announced a new European tour to kick off next summer. The tour will begin just under a year from now on June 20, 2023.

Six shows have been announced at this time. The tour launches at Rudolf-Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, with subsequent stops including Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg; Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany; Stadtpark in Hamburg, Germany; Citadel Music Festival, Zitadelle Spandau, in Berlin, Germany; and Summer in the City, Zitadelle Mainz, in Mainz, Germany.

Hollywood Vampires put out their latest album, Rise , in 2019. The group has been together since 2012 and previously released a self-titled album in 2015. Very notable guest appearances have been featured on their albums, including the likes of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, and the late Christopher Lee. The band has also been seen on television as they appeared on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2019.

Johnny Depp Has Already Been Performing On Stage

Johnny Depp isn't waiting until next summer's tour with Hollywood Vampires to get back on stage. Even before the verdict had been read in his trial, he was in the UK to appear on stage at various stops alongside friend Jeff Beck for the latter's latest tour. The two also revealed that they have recorded a new album and are preparing to have it released in July.

The album, dubbed 18 , consists of 13 tracks and includes covers of songs by artists including the Beach Boys, the Everly Brothers, Marvin Gaye, the Velvet Underground, and Killing Joke. Also featured are two new original songs by Depp: "Sad Motherf***in' Parade" and "This Is a Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr." It will be released on July 15.

“When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity," Beck said in a statement about the album. "We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too.”

Depp added, “It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother.”

It would appear that Depp has been very quick to put his legal battle behind him after the jury verdict had fallen largely in his favor. Feeling vindicated with a restored reputation , Depp previously said how he was happy to be given his "life back" by the jury in a statement released to the public. It's no surprise to see he's already got plenty of music endeavors lined up, given his passion for performing. It seems inevitable that he will be getting many major roles heading his way as well, as, legally speaking, Depp has been proven innocent of the heinous allegations that had been made against him.

Making no secret of their love of classic British rock n roll, they pepper their blistering sets with songs from The Who, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Motörhead and more.

The self-described “ best bar band in the world ” consists of core members and rock legends Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith´s Joe Perry, together with guitarist Tommy Henriksen . Their tradition is to play a riotous tribute to the great lost heroes of music and their own original material, released on their studio album ‘ Rise ’ .

With stone cold classics by the likes of The Doors, Love, AC/DC and the rest, plus of course Alice and Aerosmith’s hits, the band was voted the “best performance” of 2018 at London’s Wembley Arena on their last UK journey.

The band will be joined by special guests, by way of San Francisco band The Tubes .

Johnny Depp and his band the Hollywood Vampires have postponed their US tour dates due to an injury.

The group, which also includes superstars Alice Cooper, Tommy Henriksen and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, announced the news via social media on Monday.

“We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates coming this week,” the post read .

“Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.”

“He is devastated by this turn of events but looks forward to resting up so all four vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe.”

The band clarified that all tickets will be transferred for the new dates. The summer shows, originally set for May 30, May 31 and June 1, will now take place about two months later — in Boston, Mass., at the Wang Theater Boch Center on July 28, in Manchester, NH, at the SNHU Arena on July 29 and in Bethel, NY, on July 30 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

The three original US shows were scheduled in the lead-up to their big European tour beginning June 20 at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, followed by stops in Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria and France.

The Hollywood Vampires formed in 2012 and have released two studio albums, featuring guest appearances by icons such as Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Zak Starkey and Christopher Lee. The group performed their first live gig at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood on Sept. 16, 2015.

Depp has swiftly made his way back into the public eye since  winning his highly publicized defamation trial  against ex-wife Amber Heard, who  accused him of physical and emotional abuse .

The Oscar-nominated artist was recently seen in France at the Cannes Film Festival promoting his newest film “Jeanne du Barry.”

While on the red carpet, gawkers online were repulsed by his “rotting teeth” — but Depp has been aware of the development of his unsightly smile for a while.

“I’ve got loads of cavities,” he  boasted in a 1995 interview with Premiere magazine . “I had a root canal done eight years ago that’s unfinished. It’s like a rotten little stub.”

The “Ed Wood” actor, then 31, claimed he “liked” his flawed smile.

Despite fans believing Johnny Depp’s teeth are “rotting” inside his mouth, celebrity dentist Dr. Apa tells Page Six exclusively that it’s a simple case of “aggressive” wear and tear.

Whether it be his rotting teeth or vampire fangs, American fans will have to wait a little longer to see Depp’s grin on stage.

What will Interview with the Vampire  Season 3 be about?

As showrunner Rolin Jones has teased many times before, Interview with the Vampire Season 3 will give Lestat the opportunity to say his piece. The series has already pulled plot points from later books in Rice's series, including  The Vampire Lestat — the second installment in The Vampire Chronicles , told from Lestat's perspective — and the third season will adapt one of the best arcs from that novel: rock star Lestat.

Per AMC's press release announcing the renewal, the third season is described as such: "In Season 3, resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy bestseller Interview With The Vampire , the Vampire Lestat sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can — by starting a band and going on tour. Gabrielle. Nicolas. Magnus. Marius. Those Who Must Be Kept. They join Louis, Armand, Molloy, Sam, Raglan, Fareed, and others we can't tell you about yet on a sexy pilgrimage across space, time and trauma. No Auto-Tuning. No Trigger Warnings. All Feels Amplified."

In a statement, Jones said, "Thank you to the brilliant casts and crews of the first two seasons that got us to this day. Thank you to the rabid, beautifully unwell fandom that scaled the castle walls to get us to this day. Thank you to Dan McDermott, Ben Davis for the funds and tools to continue the great work of dramatizing Anne Rice's extraordinary novels. And sincere apologies to the family and friends of actor Sam Reid, for the possession that continues to this day. Monsieur L extends his promise to return his body upon cancellation (may that evening never come.)"

Interview with the Vampire Season 3 cast

Since the season will center on Lestat, we already know that Sam Reid will return. AMC's statement also names Louis ( Jacob Anderson ), Armand ( Assad Zaman ), Daniel Molloy ( Eric Bogosian ), the vampire Sam Barclay (Christopher Geary), Talamasca member Raglan James ( Justin Kirk ), Louis' Dubai-based doctor Fareed ( Gopal Divan ), and Lestat's former lover Nicolas de Lenfent (Joseph Potter). 

New characters who have yet to be cast include Lestat's mother Gabrielle, Lestat's maker Magnus, the ancient vampire Marius, and Those Who Must Be Kept, which is the collective title for Akasha and Enkil, the first known vampires. (There's a lot of lore here.)

Interview with the Vampire Season 3 release date prediction

There's no telling yet when we can expect Interview with the Vampire Season 3, but hopefully the wait between seasons is shorter than the year and a half between Season 1 and Season 2.

“ Second Chance ,” the directorial debut of Indian filmmaker Subhadra Mahajan, has been picked up for international sales by Thailand-based Diversion ahead of its world premiere at the 2024 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film is set to debut on July 2 in the festival’s Proxima Competition section.

Shot in black and white, the feature is in the Hindi, English and Kullavi languages. It is produced by Metanormal Motion Pictures and Latent Pictures, with Shyam Bora as producer and Pan Nalin and Swapnil Suhas Sonawane serving as executive producers. The production team also includes Bhaskar Hazarika as co-producer. Hazarika, a co-founder of Metanormal alongside Bora, is known for directing critically acclaimed films such as “Aamis” and “Kothanodi.” Sidharth Meer of Bridge PostWorks and Naren Chandavarkar of Moonweave also serve as co-producers.

The technical team includes cinematographer Swapnil Suhas Sonawane, known for his work on “Sacred Games” and “Last Film Show,” production designer Namra Parikh, editor Tinni Mitra, and sound designer Anirban Borthakur.

Mai Meksawan, founder of Diversion, said about “Second Chance”: “We appreciate how the director carefully orchestrates a symphony of elements to convey the weighty emotions that reside within the characters, creating moments of poignant intimacy that can resonate deeply with the audience.” Meksawan added that “Second Chance” aligns well with Diversion’s mission to support emerging talent in Asia and highlight important issues faced by women globally.

Producer Bora added: “Diversion’s works are a testament to their commitment towards championing Asian cinema and talent, and I couldn’t be happier that they have boarded our film.”

Executive producer Pan Nalin, known for “Last Film Show” and “Angry Indian Goddesses,” said: “In the way that ‘Second Chance’ tackles a story of an urban Indian girl with rooted local Himalayan themes, it will speak to audiences across the globe because it is pure and emotional.”

Writer-director Mahajan added: “I am delighted to have new partners in ‘Diversion,’ as they relate to the heart of ‘Second Chance’s intimate, feminine story and embrace the film with all its unique nuances and cinematic choices.”

AMC is taking another bite out of the Anne Rice Immortal Universe .

Just days ahead of Sunday’s season two finale, AMC Networks has renewed Anne Rice ’s Interview With the Vampire for a third season.

The second season stars Jacob Anderson, along with Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles and Ben Daniels. The season two finale releases Sunday on AMC+ and at 9 p.m. on AMC.

The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, who oversees AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe; creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones; and Mark Taylor; along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.

“When you buy the rights to 18 Anne Rice novels that have sold more than 150 million copies, in your wildest dreams you hope there’s a show as good as Interview on the other end,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, in a statement. “What Rolin has done with these stories and characters, working so closely with Mark, as the steward of this universe, has exceeded the loftiest version of our expectations. We can’t wait to see where this creative team takes the series from here and know we are walking alongside an incredibly loyal and passionate base of fans who feel as strongly about this material as we do.”

In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter , Reid teased what he was most excited to explore ahead.

“Because we have [composer] Daniel Hart helming the music of the show, I’m very excited to see whatever he creates, and to be working with him on that is astonishing,” he said. “For me, Gabrielle, Lestat’s mother, is such an amazing character. I really can’t wait to meet her and see what that character is like, and I also think the dynamic between Gabrielle, Louis and Lestat is really interesting, so I’m very keen to see how that unfolds.”

Reid also elaborated on how a major event from the penultimate episode — spoiler alert : the death of Claudia, played by Delainey Hayles — will impact Lestat moving forward.

“Claudia is going to be the biggest mistake Lestat has ever made in his entire life — not the fact that she’s alive, but the fact that she died [in front of him at the show trial in episode seven],” he told THR . “The death of Claudia is going to be the thing that haunts him forever, and I wish that he did save her. I’m not sure if he knew that he could, but the fact that he saw her look at him with a pure connection at the end — and the two of them did share a connection at multiple times in their lives. I think he’ll never get that image [of Claudia dying] out of his head, and I think what it does is it also sets us up for a relationship with a haunting of Claudia and Lestat that is quite exciting.”

Interview is the first series in the AMC franchise. Anne Rice Immortal Universe now includes three series : Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire , Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches , which is currently in production on season two, and the recently greenlit Anne Rice’s The Talamasca (working title).

Interview is critically acclaimed and boasts a 98 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes for seasons one and two.
