Annual Multi Trip Insurance Policy

The maximum age limit is 86 years. The maximum duration of any one trip is 45 days for our Gold policy & 60 days for our Platinum policy. For persons aged 66 years & over the maximum trip duration is limited to 31 days.

There is no restriction on the number of times you can travel abroad during the period of an Annual Multi Trip Insurance policy.

Winter Sports are covered as standard on our Platinum policy & can be added to our Gold policy for an additional premium.

Everyone on an Annual Multi Trip policy is entitled to travel independently, but children under 18 who travel alone must be dropped off and picked up by a responsible adult aged over 21.

A couple can be defined as two adults who are common law partners that have been co-habiting for at least 6 months. This includes same sex couples.

The definition of a family on an Annual Multi Trip policy is two co-habiting adults/spouses and their dependent children under 18 years of age.

Unfortunately trip durations cannot be extended. The maximum trip duration we can offer on an Annual Multi Trip policy depends on your age and the cover level you choose. Please see “What is the maximum age limit and duration of any one trip on an Annual Multi Trip policy?”.

To make sure you have continuous cover under your policy, we will aim to automatically renew (auto-renew) your policy when it runs out, unless you tell us not to. Each year we will notify you before the renewal date of your policy, and tell you about any changes to the premium or the policy terms and conditions. If you do not want us to auto-renew your policy, just email us at [email protected] , otherwise we will collect the renewal premium from your credit card or debit card.

You should also note that your renewed policy will only be valid when:

  • You have told us about any changes to your policy details (including any changes in health conditions) as you will still be required to contact the Mapfre assistance agency helpline on 091-560631 to declare any pre-existing medical conditions
  • Your credit card or debit card details have not changed

Single Trip Insurance Policy

The maximum age limit for Single Trip Travel Insurance is 86 years of age. The maximum duration of a single trip is up to 365 days if you are aged 65 or under or 31 days if you are aged 66 & over.

You cannot extend the duration of the Single Trip Travel Insurance policy you have already purchased. The period of insurance is automatically extended for the period of the delay in the event that your return to Ireland is unavoidably delayed due to an event insured by this policy.

The definition of a family on a Single Trip Travel Insurance policy is two co-habiting adults/spouses and their dependent children under 18 years of age.

You should start your Single Trip Travel Insurance policy on the day that you leave to go on your trip and end it on the day you return back to the Republic of Ireland. Cover for cancellation on a Single Trip policy starts as soon as the policy is purchased.

General Questions

A resident of the Republic of Ireland is someone who is permanently resident in Ireland and has been for the past six months prior to the issue date of your policy. We are unable to provide cover for anyone who is not a resident of the Republic of Ireland.

No. Travel Insurance must be purchased prior to your departure from the Republic of Ireland.

Please enter your current ages. It does not matter if you have a birthday after you buy the policy – we just need your ages at the time you purchase the policy.

When you purchase insurance you have the option to print off your Validation Certificate (proof of insurance) and Policy Wording once the payment has been successfully processed. You will also receive a booking confirmation by email to the email address supplied during the booking process. We strongly recommend you bring your Validation Certificate and Policy Wording with you when you travel.

If you need to make a change to your policy/details you can use your online login where you can make the majority of the required changes. If you are unable to make the required change/upgrade please contact Insuremyholiday.ie by emailing [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.

These destinations are covered by our European Insurance policy.

A “pre-existing medical condition” is any condition for which you or your travelling companion has received medical advice, treatment or medication for in the last 3 years. For further information, please see below or your Policy Wording.

If you are aware, at the time of taking out your insurance, that you or a travelling companion have/had any medical condition for which you/they are taking prescribed medication or are waiting to receive, or have received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations) within the last 3 years then you/they must contact Mapfre assistance agency on 091-560631 and declare your/their medical condition. The medical team will be able to advise you if the condition is covered.

If cover is refused for your pre-existing medical condition, we will only exclude any claims relating to that medical condition. The rest of your travel insurance cover will not be affected by this exclusion.

If, at the time of taking out your insurance, you were not aware of the condition or receiving any treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations) for your condition then you will not need to declare this to medical team until your policy is due for renewal.

Yes, you will need to contact them each year when your policy renews to discuss cover for pre-existing medical conditions. The contact number is 091-560631.

No. You may receive a reimbursement if you cancel for any reason outlined in your Policy Wording. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, such unforeseen emergencies as illness, injury or death of you, your travelling companion and/or a close relative. The cover does not include cancellation due to business obligations, change of mind or your dislike of the travel time.

If you are unfortunate enough to have any lost/stolen items or belongings whilst on holiday, then you must notify the local police within 24 hours and obtain a copy of the police report.

In the case of any medical emergency or the need to curtail your trip due to an insured reason please call our Emergency Assistance Team. If you have Private Health Insurance, then you must also contact them and inform them of your medical emergency. Contact details can be found in your Policy Wording.

All claims must be reported to our Claims Department within 31 days or as soon as possible following an insured event. You must forward original documentation when claiming. You will also be required to forward a copy of your Validation Certificate and Policy Wording. Contact details for the Claims Department can be found in your Policy Summary.

The amount you have to pay towards the claim. In practice this is deducted from any settlement amount and is charged per person per claim.

If you wish to make a complaint about a claim, please contact Customer Relations team at Mapfre Assistance, in writing to: Mapfre Assistance Travel Claims, Ireland Assist House, 22-26 Prospect Hill, Galway or by telephone on 091-560631.

Once you have purchased your travel insurance , subject to the condition detailed in the note below, you are entitled to a 14 day cooling-off period. Multi Trip Travel Insurance

Many of us like to take more than one holiday per year. There is nothing wrong with that. With travelling costs going down it is now more affordable to get away two times or even three times in a year.

Some people just love to travel. Again, nothing wrong with that. As JRR Tolkien said, 'not all those who wander are lost.' If you are planning multiple trips our multi trip travel insurance is designed for you.

Nobody likes the dreary business of taking out insurance. Thinking about all the unfortunate things that could happen is a bit of a downer. We make it swift and easy for you as you can do it all online. Preparing for a holiday is always exciting and pleasurable. We want to keep it that way for our customers by taking complete care of the insurance side of things.

Choosing your Multi Trip Travel Insurance

The beauty of multi trip insurance is that you only take out the policy once to cover all your holidays within a twelve-month period. This will save you a considerable amount of time, money and hassle.

We don't cater to just holiday goers. Our multi trip travel insurance is also suitable for those who make multiple business trips within a year. If these are short trips, it is tempting to take the risk and go without insurance. We would strongly advise against this. Keep yourself covered for a small sum and you are sorted.

Benefits of choosing Multi Trip Insurance

Taking more than one holiday / trip within a year will increase the likelihood of something going wrong. This is not to scare you. Usually it is only something minor such as delayed baggage but it is important that the multi tripper be insured against the worse. It has happened to many people and it could, conceivably, happen to you. No matter how small the chances are, it is important that you be fully covered.

We know that thinking about insurance can put you off your holiday. That is why we allow you to get it out of the way as quickly as possible so you can get to the more important business of planning your sojourn. Leave it with us and you can concentrate on having an exciting and fun holiday. Join thousands of satisfied customers by availing of our cost effective multi trip travel insurance . Have fun in the sun or snow without fear. Explore exotic cultures and lands without worry or anxiety. Go on business trips without trepidation. You are safe in the hands of Justcover.

Travel Insurance is essential for peace of mind . Get your Holiday Travel Insurance Right Here, Right Now. Here at JustCover.ie Travel Insurance we don't waste your time, we JustCover.

If you have VHI, Laya-Healthcare or Irish Life Private Health Insurance why not avail of our REDUCED RATE SINGLE TRIP and MULTI TRIP TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICIES and make great savings. Travel Insurance is a necessity not a luxury. Remember if you wish to travel worry free, do not travel without your Travel Insurance,

I’ve lost my documents. How do I retrieve them?

If you have lost your policy documents, you can retrieve them online. Enter your quote number and e-mail address to access your documents. If you would like your documents resent through the post or you have forgotten your quote number or if you have any other problems accessing your documents online, please call our customer service team on 091 545 904 or email [email protected] .

What do I do if my passport is lost or stolen abroad?

You should report any loss or thefts of passports to the local police in the country you are in as soon as possible. You will need the crime reference details they provide for the APS1 (which is the Lost or Stolen Passport Notification) form. You should also report the loss or theft to the Irish embassy of the country you are in. You can get details of your local Irish embassy wherever you are by visiting the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The Irish embassy will issue you with replacement travel documents so you can travel back.

When will my documents arrive through the post?

Normally, we say to allow between 5 to 10 working days between you buying your policy and your documents being received in the post. However, we do always aim for your policy pack to be with you sooner. You can still travel with a printed copy of your emailed documents if the posted documents don't arrive in time.

What do I need to take on holiday with me?

We advise that you take your travel insurance certificate and the relevant policy wording booklet away with you.

You may travel with a printed copy of your emailed documents. If you are unable to print your emailed documents, simply write down your policy number and the emergency medical assistance and claims line telephone numbers from the back of our policy wording booklets which can be found here.
