Following are the visa cost for Russia from India:

Russia visa validity and duration of stay on a Russian visa can vary depending on the type of visa obtained. Typically, tourist e-visas are granted for a validity period of 60 days, with a maximum stay duration of up to 16 days per visit.

It's important to carefully review the details of your visa to understand its specific validity and stay duration. Overstaying the permitted duration or violating the terms of your visa can lead to legal consequences and difficulties when attempting to exit the country or apply for future visas.

The validity period of an electronic visa and/or the allowed duration of stay may only be extended under exceptional circumstances, such as the impossibility of leaving Russian territory due to emergency medical treatment, force majeure, or natural disasters.

Extension of the e-visa and/or the permitted stay duration is handled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation or its regional offices, based on the migrant registration location. If there's no migrant registration, the extension is processed at the actual stay location by issuing a regular (non-electronic) visa.

If you possess a valid Russian visa in your passport, there's no need to apply for a unified e-visa. You can enter the Russian Federation using the regular visa within its validity period, without the constraints of the unified e-visa. Additionally, obtaining an e-visa does not extend the validity of a regular visa.

To check the status of a Russia tourist visa for Indians, you can use the Teleport service or the official government eVisa portal. Here's how:

Check Russia Visa Status using Teleport:

  • Access the Teleport Dashboard.
  • Click on 'Your Applications'.
  • Choose the application you've submitted to view the latest status update.

Russia Visa Check via Government eVisa Portal:

If you've applied for your visa through the official government eVisa portal, follow these steps:

  • Visit the official government eVisa portal.
  • Provide your Unique Application ID and Log in to your account.
  • Navigate to your applications section and find ‘Notifications’
  • Check the status of your application from there.

Both methods provide convenient ways to stay updated on the status of your Russia tourist visa for Indian citizens.

  • Incomplete or Incorrect Documentation: If the required documents are not provided or if there are mistakes in the application forms, it can lead to a denial.
  • Travel History: Applicants with a history of visa violations or overstays in other countries may face difficulties obtaining a visa to Russia.
  • Purpose of Visit: If the purpose of the visit is not clearly stated or if it is deemed suspicious, the visa may be denied. For instance, if the applicant is unable to provide a credible reason for their visit or if the authorities suspect the visit is for illegal activities.

You will also need to fill out a form provided by your flight attendants and undergo another COVID-19 test on arrival, after passing passport control. Boeing plane heading to UK forced to make emergency landing

Air India Boeing airplane.

A Boeing plane with hundreds of passengers on board was forced to make an emergency landing in Russia .

The Air India flight heading to the UK landed in Moscow last night after the crew spotted a potential issue.

It was travelling from New Delhi to Birmingham airport, but the passenger flight was forced to land in Russia after the crew detected a potential issue in the cargo hold area, Reuters reports.

The Boeing 787-800 made a safe landing without any injuries to the 258 passengers and 17 crew.

It landed at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow at about 9.30pm local time yesterday.

Since Russia’s invasions of Ukraine, several airlines have avoided the federation’s air space, while Europe and North America have closed their airspace to Russian carriers.

Air India continues to operate services over Russian airspace – one of about 20 airlines doing so.

Out of European firms, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus still operate in Russian airspace or airports.

Qatar Airways, Etihad, Emirates and AirArabia also continue to fly over Russia.

It comes after crew and passengers restrained a drunk passenger who tried to storm the cockpit and open the door on an EasyJet flight.

The plane – en route from Gatwick to the Greek island of Kos – was forced to make an emergency landing in Munich.

Air India was contacted for a comment.

'US welcomes any nation that...': White House on PM Modi's historic visit to Ukraine

During his visit to ukraine last month, pm modi told zelenskyy that india was never neutral or an indifferent bystander during the russia-ukraine conflict and was always on the side of peace. the visit was lauded by us president joe biden as "historic"..

PM Modi with Zelenskyy

When asked about US President Joe Biden's call to PM Modi after his Ukraine visit, Kirby said, "Any nation that is willing to try to help end this war and do so in keeping with President Zelenskyy's prerogatives, the Ukrainian people's prerogatives, his plan for a just peace, we would certainly welcome a role like that."

On whether he thought India could play a role in bringing peace, the White House official said, "Well, we certainly hope so." PM Modi, who was on a single-day visit to Kyiv, told Zelenskyy that New Delhi had not been neutral or an indifferent bystander during the Russia-Ukraine conflict and was always on the side of peace.

PM Modi held fruitful discussions with President Zelenskyy at Maryinskyi Palace, covering bilateral ties and regional and global issues of mutual interest. They also witnessed the signing of several agreements, including cooperation in agriculture, medical product regulation, humanitarian assistance, and cultural exchange.

PM Modi spoke to US President Biden to discuss the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the security of minorities, particularly Hindus, in Bangladesh after the recent turmoil. The President commended the Indian leader for his "message of peace and ongoing humanitarian support" for Ukraine and described his visit as historic.

Biden's discussions with PM Modi over Bangladesh

The White House readout of the call had no reference to Bangladesh, which was mentioned in an 'X' post by PM Modi. However, the White House on Wednesday (September 4) said Biden and Modi "shared concerns" on the recent developments in Bangladesh and the US President had expressed his concerns over the safety of people and the future of democratic institutions there.

"I mean, the president made clear his continued concerns about the safety and security of the people in Bangladesh and the future of their democratic institutions," he said in response to a question. A statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said the two leaders spoke about the restoration of law and order.

On speculations that the US statement on talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden did not feature Bangladesh, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said the claims were "uninformed, tendentious, and motivated" and betrayed a "total lack of familiarity" with how contacts between world leaders are organised. "The subject of Bangladesh, which has been highlighted by certain quarters, was very much discussed substantially by both the leaders," said spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

"Firstly, press releases issued after such conversations between leaders are not like Joint Statements where every word is negotiated and mutually agreed upon. Secondly, such press releases are not meant to be comprehensive readouts of such conversations. Finally, it is not unusual for two sides to emphasise different aspects of the same conversation in their respective readouts." he said.
