If you’ve watched one of our many walkthroughs, you know that RV bedding is more complex than what you have in your home. You won’t find RV bedding linens at your favorite retail store. So, to do it right the first time, we’ve created this RV bedding guide to walk you through the process.
Our RV bedding guide will walk you through RV mattresses, helpful accessories, linens, and everything else. In addition, we’ve included the RV bedding information for the kids’ bunks and guest sleeping spaces. After all, you need a night of restful sleep to fully enjoy your RV adventures.
4. RV Bedding Has Many Sizes
Rv mattress size chart, 5. head and joint pillows, 3. blankets & comforters, do rvs come with bedding.
Oftentimes, an RV will come with a mattress in the primary bed but may lack mattresses throughout the rest of the RV. It really just depends. Some will come with some cheap pillows and some will come with thin mattresses that really aren’t that comfortable to begin with.
In most cases, unless you purchase a tiny, one-bed camper that comes with a mattress, you will have to purchase some level of bedding for your RV, especially for beds other than the master bed.
You’ll also have to get used to the sizes, as RV bed measurements are not always the same as residential bed mattresses.
4 Differences Between RV Bedding and Residential Beds
1. It’s a Hard Knock Life for RV Bedding
No matter how well-built your motorhome or travel trailer is, your RV bedding will be exposed to temperature change, moisture, travel conditions, and other conditions. Your bricks-and-sticks residential bed lives in a more stable environment, so it lasts longer.
Generally, the average lifespan of an RV mattress is 8 years. However, full-timers may want to change their out after every U.S. Presidential election.
2. “Placeholder” RV Mattresses
Unless your RV comes with a top-quality mattress, many RV manufacturers have changed their perspective on their provided RV bedding. They’re good enough to sleep on, but in the Modern Era (2008-Present), RV companies use “placeholder” mattresses.
With so many mattress companies now offering RV mattress sizes, linens, and accessories, RVers are replacing the original RV mattress with an aftermarket RV mattress that fits their comfort level.
3. RV Beds Lay on Wood
Your residential bed can have a box spring, spring-like slats, and other support innovations beneath the mattress. Under your RV mattress is a version of plywood; that’s it. There are various pads, pillows, and other accessories if you need additional support for your spine or joints.
Some RV mattresses come in residential sizes. In those situations, you can go to your favorite retail store and pick up RV bedding in every color, material, and pattern. But as you’ll see, when you try fitting a set of queen sheets on an RV short queen bed, it won’t fit correctly.
Understanding RV Bedding Mattress Sizes
Residential mattresses typically come in 6 sizes:
- California King
RV bedding and mattresses have many more sizes. Designers have to make every square inch count. If they can shave off an inch on a bed to make a slide box fit better and increase the walkway, they’ll do it if needed.
This type of decision-making has occurred since 1910. Yet, the Modern Era is the most excellent time to find RV bedding. Today, you’ll find the most aftermarket RV mattresses, linens, and accessories made in RV dimensions.
To help you understand the different RV mattress sizes, here’s a chart of the typical sizes and where you’ll usually see them. Those in bold are residential mattress measurements.
If you have a corner-cut mattress in your Class C motorhome, these mattresses come in either a three-quarter, RV short queen or RV king. If it’s a king, the length may measure 75 inches instead of the full 80 inches.
What’s the Best RV Mattress?
The best RV mattress is the one that feels right for you. When the inflatable air mattresses first came out, they were the “Belle of the Ball” in the RV industry. Today, memory foam, latex, and innerspring/memory foam hybrids are the “soup of the day.”
We always recommend trying a few brands out at a home furniture store, even if you’re going to order your RV bedding online. Every RV mattress brand has a different definition of firm, medium, and soft. So you’ll want the best idea of what those terms mean.
Online mattress companies have trial periods, but their return policies can be complicated. Ensure you learn everything you can about the best RV mattress brands , including their return policies.
6 Ways to Sleep Better With RV Bedding Pads, Toppers, Insulators, and Pillows
The next section of our RV Bedding Guide is the accessories. Again, some may feel that they’re not needed, but we’ve already shown you that your RV mattress has a more challenging life than your bricks-and-sticks home bed.
Small and mid-size travel trailers with front bedrooms offer the convenience of accessing the storage bay when you lift the bed platform up. The problem with that is your exterior bay’s weatherstripping isn’t perfect. In extreme temperatures, you could feel like you’re sleeping on an icebox or furnace. There are moisture considerations to keep in mind too.
Here are some RV bedding accessories that can further protect your mattress and linens giving you a better night’s rest.
1. RV Mattress Pads
Mattress pads are great for all types of mattresses. Besides protecting them from spills and holding your sheets better, they protect your RV’s bed from moisture. Water is fine for sinks and bathrooms, but you don’t want it building up on your mattress. It quickens memory foam elasticity loss and rusts innerspring.
If you’re sensitive to allergens, mattress pads prevent them from getting into your mattress. Thicker versions even add a layer of comfort. The best part is that they’re machine washable. If you’re starting to take allergy medicine at night more often, wash your RV’s mattress pad. That may solve the problem.
2. RV Mattress Toppers
Buying a new RV mattress might not be in the cards right now. However, adding a bed topper as an extra layer can counter some of the thinning effects as your mattress becomes more worn. At one point, this author could feel the wood platform under the memory foam mattress on hot nights. An affordable topper saved his back.
RV mattress toppers also breathe. They can keep moisture and heat from building up, better protecting a mattress. In turn, this can elongate your mattress’s lifespan. Of course, spilling your morning coffee on the topper isn’t as bad as if it was on the bed.
3. RV Mattress Insulators
RV manufacturers like Lance, Alaskan Campers, and others include radiant sheets under their RV mattresses in all-season packages. To you, it may look like shipping bubble wrap with an aluminum foil coating. But, UV rays and heat energy “see” it as an insulating barrier.
If your RV season continues after September through March, you’ll want to have a roll of radiant sheeting like Reflectix or another version. Here are some other tips if you plan on cold-weather camping .
4. RV Mattress Moisture Barriers
On the opposite side, during the peak of the RV camping season, using an RV mattress moisture barrier between your bed platform and mattress will save you money. Protective layers like Tochta’s HyPur FLO Mattress Moisture Barrier keep the sweat and other moisture from ruining your RV bedding.
An RV mattress moisture barrier lets you keep your RV mattress longer, helps you use less energy for the air conditioner, and gives you a better night’s rest. Three fewer reasons to be nicknamed “Mr./Ms. Cranky Pants;” works for us!
The best pillow in the right spot can distinguish between pleasant dreams and insomnia. For some, a simple head pillow works great. However, for that side, back, or front sleeper that wakes up sore, “there’s a pillow for that.”
Triangular wedges, contour head pillows, knee pillows , and others can keep your body aligned at night. Without his knee spacer pillow, this author won’t turn the ignition on his motorhome. It may be an RV bedding accessory, but he added it to his essential accessories list.
What and Where Can I Buy RV Sheets and Linens?
Not everyone will want to sleep in Camco’s Life is Better at the Campsite RV bedding sheet set, but they are available on Amazon and in camping stores. There are many styles, colors, and patterns for RV bedding sizes.
1. Types of RV Bedding Linen Materials
Like residential linens, you’ll find all of the same sheet materials. When choosing your linens, think about how often you’ll be using them, when you’ll be camping, and who’s using them. Are you allergic to natural fibers? Is anyone rough on their sheets? Do you need a deep pocket sheet for a thicker mattress?
- Egyptian Cotton: Real Egyptian cotton is small in diameter but has extra-long fibers. It’s very smooth and soft. Look for Extra-Long Staple (ELS) on the packaging to know it’s real.
- Cotton: Cotton breaths and is very affordable. Higher thread counts aren’t necessarily better, especially if you’re replacing your RV bedding due to your pet’s claws creating holes.
- Flannel: Flannel is made from cotton, but it retains heat. Keep them in your storage bays for cooler nights.
- Satin/Silk: Satin and silk sheets are fragile and not recommended for the RV lifestyle. They are hypoallergenic and usually have special washing instructions. Leave them at home unless you need them for medical reasons or special occasions.
- Microfiber: Microfibers are synthetic and wrinkle-free. Flatweave versions trap heat and absorb moisture which can be an asset to protect your mattress.
- Polyester: Polyester is a highly durable petroleum plastic. It’s great for the kids and for convertible dinettes and sofas. If the sheets catch on the furniture’s mechanics, it’s the least likely to tear.
2. Zipper-Style RV Bedding
In our Gulfstream Conquest YouTube Tour, you learn that Mike was the one who changed the RV bedding linens because it’s challenging to do. It was one of the factors that we added to our list when deciding if we should renovate or buy something new. Check our YouTube Channel to learn how we solved this dilemma.
If you have this same problem or want an easier way to keep your RV bed linens in place, you may want to look into zipper sheets. Class C motorhomes with corner beds can be tricky since there’s virtually no corner access. Brands like QuickZip have all of the fashionable colors and styles.
Zipper sheets encompass the entire mattress and zip around the perimeter. That way, you can retire your contortion RV bedding performance.
To top off your RV bedding, you want blankets and comforters that store well. The problem with comforters is that they take up a lot of storage space. The best way to store comforters when you’re not using them is to keep them in zip-top vacuum bags with other RV winter gear.
Summer weave blankets are light for the RV camping season, expel just enough heat to keep you comfortable, and take up very little storage space. In addition, these blankets are very budget-friendly and come in almost every color imaginable.
The very best comforter we found works great in summer and winter. We don’t know why but this comforter from Lakeside Collection keeps us cool in summer and warm in winter! We highly recommend it!
If you need something heavier, fleece blankets are surprisingly warm. Much like the weave blankets, they’re easy on the wallet, store well, and fit any decor.
Should You Remove RV Bedding In The Off-Season?
Yes, you should remove all RV bedding prior to the off-season. As a matter of fact, you should take things a step further and also remove anything that’s cloth, including curtains, throws, blankets on the couch, pillowcases on couch cushions, etc.
The cloth fabrics within your RV hold in whatever odors or scents are in the RV while it is in use. These lingering scents will, like water, sort of stagnate, creating a musky odor that’s often difficult to get rid of in the short term.
This also includes towels and rags you use as washcloths. Some RVers prefer to leave all of these things inside the RV, choosing to do a mass-spring cleaning when the time comes, running everything through the wash and drying it. However, if there is a musky odor left behind, it will take time to air it out.
How To Prevent RV Mattresses From Getting Mold
Though mold can form on the top surface of an RV mattress, it’s far more likely it will form on the bottom. Mold requires warmth and moisture to grow and spread. If you’re storing your RV in a humid environment, such as Florida or a state close to the water, moisture in the air is a given.
One of the first things you need to do, prior to storage, is flip the mattress over and use a box fan to blow on it for a while, drying out the surface. Make sure the mattress never ends up on the floor. It’s also a good idea to bring in a dehumidifier and let it run for a while.
Make your way through your RV and locate any sources of excess moisture. Clean and dry anything you find to reduce evaporation and moisture in the air. Throughout the months when you are using your RV, rotate the mattress occasionally, and place a waterproof mattress cover over it after drying.

The Perfect Guide To RV Sheets: What You Need To Know
(Camp Addict does NOT accept payment from any company to review or endorse their products.)
By Kelly Beasley
Everyone deserves a good night's sleep, don't they?
Especially while on a camping vacation, there's nothing better than having the best RV sheets to crawl into after a long day of exploring and discovery.
But when it comes to camper bed sheets, where does one purchase them?
And how do you find linens that fit your odd-sized RV bed ? For example, finding the right-sized RV bunk bed sheets can be 'fun.'
It's not that hard, but there are a few things you need to know about RV camping sheets.
Let's learn about it.
What's Different About RV Mattress Sheets?
In most ways, RV bedding sheets are not unlike regular ones, and there's nothing special they need to possess.
They only need to fit. Just like regular sheets, they vary by:
Where camper sheets differ the most from 'traditional' sheets is (sometimes) the dimensions.
Some mattresses in recreational vehicles are different from the standard size you are used to seeing.
Therefore, the 'hardest' part of buying sheets for your RV mattress is knowing the dimensions of your bed.
And that part is not hard. Tape measure to the rescue!
Refrain from assuming that your queen-sized-looking mattress is, in fact, a true queen.
Queen mattresses in motorhomes and travel trailers might be called a ' Queen short ,' a few inches shorter than a regular queen and therefore require short queen sheets .
Therefore, measuring your mattress is almost a requirement. Once you know the size, you can proceed.
Features To Look For In Your Bed Sets And Sheets
Camper beds often come with their own set of challenges regarding RV bedding .
The bed might be against a wall, and it isn't easy to make if you cannot walk around the bed.
It may be a murphy bed that folds up into the wall for day use. Or it might be an odd size.
This type of Toy Hauler bed is a good candidate for the all in one style of bedding solution we talk about next.
There are alternatives to a conventional camper sheet set and products that can make making your bed (and stripping) easier.
More on that next.
Easy To Make/Easy To Remove Camper Sheets
If your camper bed is against a wall (or three), you can make things easier using alternative styles of camper sheets and comforters.
Here are two great options:
"QuickZip" Fitted Sheet
The QuickZip makes ANY bed easier to strip and make.
The fitted sheet is usually the hardest part to change since you have to lift the mattress.
The QuickZip are RV-fitted sheets with zippers that allow you to remove the horizontal part of that sheet for washing. Because you are never touching the sides, right?
The sides don't get dirty nearly as quickly as the top, right?
This is a genius invention. It makes changing the fitted sheet SO MUCH EASIER!
The video below shows the benefit perfectly. ( Shop QuickZip on Amazon .)
Beddy's is a product that acts like a fitted sheet with a sleeping bag.
Instead of individual sheets, you place this entire item on top of your mattress. It fits your mattress like a fitted sheet, but it has the sheet and comforter attached.
It's all one piece. To make the bed, you zip it up.
To sleep, unzip, slide yourself in the sack, and call it a night.
This makes for easier bed-making each morning.

Camper Sheet Materials And Benefits
Honestly, any RV linen material you decide on will work.
There are only a few factors to consider when making this decision:
- What materials do you prefer (soft, breathable, wrinkle-free, wick away moisture, deflects dust mites and allergens for allergies, etc.)?
- What temperatures will you mostly camp in (flannel or lightweight)?
- What climates will you mostly camp in?
- Whether or not you need a solution for a corner-type bed.
Regular-sized sheets come in many types of materials. Some are more durable than others.
Some keep you warmer than others.
As far as pilling goes, the longer the material fibers, the less prone to pilling the fabric will be.
This equates to more expensive sheets, which is not surprising.
Natural materials tend to pill less than synthetic ones. (Bamboo, silk, linen, etc.)
Here's a rundown of some of the most popular materials you're bound to find:
Egyptian Cotton
Authentic Egyptian Cotton is considered a 'luxury' fabric (hello, swanky travel trailer sheets!). Egyptian cotton is an extra-long fiber compared to regular cotton.
It has a smaller diameter, so it produces a super smooth and soft cloth. Beware of fake advertising, though.
Look for ELS (extra-long staple) on the package for authentic Egyptian Cotton .
Otherwise, it's probably just cotton that was grown in Egypt.
Genuine long-fiber cotton will also be listed as "long-staple Egyptian, long-staple Pima, or Supima cotton."
Cotton sheets are affordable, breathable , and comfortable and tend to last a long time.
They come in many different thread counts, so watch for that before buying.
A higher thread count isn't always better. The comfort level has more to do with the fiber length.
Microfiber sheets are made from synthetic materials such as nylon, wood pulp, or polyester.
The benefit of microfiber over natural materials is that this sheet is less likely to shrink and is more wrinkle-resistant. Watch for the weave.
A flatweave is best because a waffle weave will trap heat and absorb moisture instead of repelling it.
Microfiber sheets are soft and affordable, making them a good choice.
Polyester is a synthetic fiber made of plastic, usually derived from petroleum.
Much of the clothing made today is made from polyester.
This fabric sometimes causes skin irritation, is less absorbent than cotton, and will wrinkle less easily.
These are also likely more affordable than cotton but will sleep hotter.
This is not your best option for getting comfortable sheets for RV beds.
Flannel is a material made from cotton. It holds heat more than most other common materials. But it also breathes.
Still, flannel motorhome or travel trailer bed sheets are best for camping in colder climates as it does sleep warm. This material is not recommended for hot sleepers.
Expect to pay from $30 to $200 for a sheet set.
Temperature Controlled Mattress Pads
This is an excellent addition to help make your RV feel luxurious!
Of course, you either have to have access to 120-volt power or you need a pad that runs off of 12 volts.
If nothing else, you can use this pad to warm up the bed before you jump into it, then turn it off. Or, keep it on all night.
Just make sure you aren't overloading your electrical system.
What's The Difference Between RV Bed Sheets And Regular Sheets?
The only possible difference between RV bed sheets and regular sheets is sometimes the size.
There's no magic potion that the sheets must hold to be in your rig.
In other words, it may not be necessary to order specific RV camper sheets.
They only need to work for you and fit!
Where To Buy RV Sheets
There are quite a few places you can purchase RV sheet sets.
Keep in mind that some only sell standard RV sheet sizes and regular mattress sizes .
If you have a funky-sized mattress, you must order custom or make up your own solution OR make the closest size work.
Here are a few places where you can get the best RV sheets:
Camping World
Camping World has some in-store, but you are likely to find more of a selection on their website.
When ordering, you can choose to have them delivered to your local store (when applicable) or to your home.
Keep in mind that they only sell standard RV sheet sizes and regular sheet sizes.
Shop sheets at Camping World .
A screenshot of a few of the varieties of some sheet sets from Camping World
Here you can get just about anything for your RV bed.
You can get standard mattress-sized sheets, RV-sized mattress sheets, and custom-sized sheets.
Shop RV sheets on Amazon .
Beddy's is a solution for hard-to-make RV beds.
However, even if your bed is not hard to make, you might prefer this solution.
Beddy's is a fitted sheet, sheet, and comforter all in one piece! It has a zipper that opens or encloses the sleeping bag type set.
You can wash it all together. It makes making the bed SO much easier!
Tochta makes custom and RV-sized mattresses.
They also make custom-sized RV sheets!
Beyond that, they have RV mattress-sized sheets, so, say, you have a Short Queen; they sell in that size.
Shop Tochta RV sheets .
Custom size RV sheets at Tochta .
Where To Order Custom-Sized Sheets For Your RV Mattress
There are a couple of places you can order custom-sized sheets for your rig:
- Tochta (you can customize just about any aspect of your RV sheets)
- A quick Google search for ' custom sheets ' will also give you plenty of other options
Why Use Specialized RV Sheets?
There are a few reasons to use specialized RV sheets .
Ease of making the bed, special size needs, the need for extra warmth, and the need for stain resistance are a few good reasons.
Don't feel confined to NEEDING sheets. I place a quilt on top of my RV mattress and have a duvet on top.
That's it. No travel trailer or motorhome bed sheets!
How To Make An RV Mattress More Comfortable
We must acknowledge here that most mattresses installed in a motorhome, travel trailer, or small RV camper are, to put it mildly, crap.
You can easily replace the mattress.
Just make sure you order the correct size, so it fits. This may mean ordering a custom size.
Another cheaper route is to buy a camper mattress topper . A good quality mattress topper can make a mediocre mattress feel just right.
They tend to come in latex, gel, and memory foam. There is no 'best.' It depends on the feel you prefer. A topper may also help you sleep better by relieving some pain caused by your uncomfortable mattress.
Make sure the mattress has air circulation underneath it to prevent mildew from growing on the bottom. This rings especially true with dense foam mattresses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do rv beds need special sheets.
RV beds don't need special sheets necessarily. A bed sheet is a bed sheet as far as the material used and how they are manufactured.
However, some recreational vehicle mattresses have abnormal dimensions, which would require a special-sized set of bedding.
Other than potentially being a specialized size, there is nothing unique about the RV bed linens that you'll need.
Can I Use Regular Sheets In An RV?
You can certainly use regular sheets from home in your recreational vehicle if it has a bed that matches the size of your home bed.
There's no difference in such a case. Just know RV bed sheet sizes range much greater than regular bed sizes.
Get yourself correct-sized pillowcases, a flat sheet, and a fitted sheet, and you're ready for a comforter on top!
It doesn't matter if you need motorhome sheets or other camper mattress sheets. Measure it, find the size that works, and get it. Or, go for an alternative type of bed linen for your RV.
What Size Sheets Go On A Camper Mattress?
The size of sheets for a camper mattress depends on the depth and width of your bed.
Measuring your mattress is the best way to find out what you need. Then order the correspondingly sized camper sheet set.
What Size Are RV King Sheets?
RV king sheets are either 72 inches x 80 inches (normal king) or 72 inches x 75 inches (short RV king).
You will need to measure your RV king bed mattress to determine which king-size RV sheets you need.
How Can I Wash My RV Sheet Sets While Camping?
You can wash your RV sheet sets while camping by heading to the nearest laundromat.
Some campgrounds even have washers and dryers.
If boondocking, you could wash sheets in the nearest river, but use an eco-friendly soap.
What About Those Zippered Sheets For Camping?
Yes, zippered sheets are great for camping!
We mention a couple of companies that make them above.
What Are The Best Sheets For RVs?
You pick the best sheets for your RV much as you choose them for your home. The best RV sheets are the ones that let you sleep comfortably.
Once you've determined the correct size for the sheets, choose the material they are made from ( more on materials above ).
It depends on your wants, likes, and needs.
You may want super high-end sheets that will last the longest and cost the most.
Or, you might only camp where it's cold with no heat, so you'd prefer flannel sheets. It's up to you to figure that out.
What Size Sheets Fit An RV Table Bed?
The size of sheets needed to fix an RV table bed will depend on the size of the sleeping area that the table converts to.
The most typical 'table bed' is created when a camper's dinette converts into a sleeping area.
The resulting camper dinette bed can range in size from having enough space for a child, like a twin, to having enough room for two adults. Generally, the bigger the recreational vehicle, the bigger the dinette will be.
The dinette bed may not be the right size to use conventionally sized bedding, so you have a couple of options:
- Purchase a custom set of sheets sized to the dimensions you need. You may only want to go to this expense if you frequently use the table bed.
- Make do with a regular set of sheets that is close enough in size, and tuck the excess under the bed as necessary.
Getting sheets for your recreational vehicle may or may not be more challenging than getting them from your bedroom bed.
There's a good chance that you have an irregular-sized bed that requires custom-made sheets for RV mattresses.
That, or you may have three walls surrounding your bed, making it extremely difficult to make.
In such a case, you should get a different type of sheet set that makes the job easier.
If you have a bed the same size as your home bed, you're in luck! You can easily buy sheets or use the ones you already have. Just measure your camper's mattress , and you'll know what you have and need.
Everything you need to know about picking the proper sheets is on this page.
Get your sheets, get out there, and enjoy your camping vacation!

It seems that All the Rv sheets are too deep for my RVing king bed , my mattress is 6 “ deep
Yeah, so many mattresses these days are super thick so many bottom sheets are made to fit them or a huge range of mattress sizes. We’d suggest getting the ‘suspender’ straps to connect the corners underneath. They are just little stretchy pieces with ‘biting’ connectors at each end. You put them in the corners under the mattress connecting and pulling the bottoms together to help keep the fitted sheet taut. You can find them on Amazon or at any store like Walmart or maybe even a Ross or Marshall’s. Good luck!
“In such a case you might want to get a different kind of sheet set that makes the job easier.“” It would be helpful to know what kind of sheet you are talking about and where to find them.?
Hi Clarise,
Good question! As mentioned above in the article, we would recommend the Beddy’s or the Quick Zip sheets. They offer an alternative way of removing the sheets from an RV bed.

This is the second set I purchased. Best sheets I've EVER purchased. I don't know the thread count and they are cotton, but they are so soft and silky feeling. They wash up nicely and most of all they fit!

Road Ready RV Sheet Set

The size of the fitted and flat sheets were perfect. Making the bed is so much easier now! There are two negatives: 1. The pillowcase that came with the twin sheet set is wide and short. My standard pillow sticks out a bit on the end, yet it swims from top to bottom. 2. The sheets are soft, but very thin. They will be fine for awhile, but I can imagine them easily wearing with multiple washings. Overall I am pleased with my purchase as making the twin beds in our RV has always been a real pain, and these sheets will eliminate that problem.
As expected and more

This sheet set is beautiful! So soft and will be a great addition to our RV bed. Love the fitted bottom of the top sheet! Thank you!

This is the 2nd set of sheets I have bought. The fitted end on the top sheet keets the sheet in place. These are the only sheets I will use in our rv. They are soft and wash is great. Highly recommend them. Fast delivery also.

RV King Sheet Set

These sheets are perfect for our RV King bed. The No Tuck top sheet is wonderful. I'm tall and like to sleep with the top sheet covering my face - There's plenty of sheet to do that without having the sheet come unticked at the bottom like with regular sheets. Great product!

VERY NICE product; had to return for a different size. Ordered same product in a smaller size.

Even in your RV, a little luxury is essential. This short queen size sheet set comes with one fitted sheet, one flat sheet, and two 20″ x 30″ pillowcases. The fitted sheet is 15-inch in depth and measures 60″x 75″ (short queen). The flat sheet size is 90″ x 102″ which is big enough to drape well.
Since these sheets are made from all-natural, long stable cotton you should expect a soft and smooth experience using them–they are also extra soft and breathable. They fit perfectly well with the fitted sheet remaining in place throughout the night. Customers highly recommended them for ease of maintenance, the quality, and softness given they’re 100 percent Egyptian cotton 600-Thread-Count, woven with single-ply yarns.
They may come across as rough and crispy while new due to the quality of the fabric. They soften after several washes, and I would highly recommend them to someone looking for long-lasting RV Short queen sheets.

Quick Buyer’s Guide to RV Mattress Sheets
Mattress size.
Well, RV mattress sizes are entirely different from the usual ones. They’re slightly smaller to save on space. So, when looking to buy, especially fitted sheets, it’s essential to remember this. Below are the standard RV mattress sizes:
- RV twin single: 34” width x 75” long
- RV full or double: 49” x 75”
- RV king: 72” x 75”
- RV queen: 60” x 75”
It is crucial to note that these terms may be used interchangeably depending on the manufacturers’ descriptions. Also, the sizes may be larger or smaller than these depending on the type of mattress.
Material Type
Choose from cotton, polyester, silk, and linen sheets . The type you choose depends on your preference. The idea is to have fabric that will last you long enough and withstand frequent washing. Also, for RV sheets, aim for warm ones that can beat the cold once you hit the road during the cold season, and for cooling sheets for the summer season.
Thread count
Just like other sheets, this factor is vital. Although a higher thread count (TC) does not necessarily mean that the sheets are of a higher quality. There really isn’t any need to spend extra for sheets with a TC over 400 but what you should aim for is spending that little bit more on sheets made from the best cottons : Egyptian, Supima or Pima. Bottom line: select sheets by considering the material quality combined with the thread count.
So, What’s Best Sheets For RV?
Choosing your RV sheets wraps down to getting the right material that guarantees durability and strength. Also, you should counter check your mattress size to ensure a perfect fit. Most importantly, you should consider your comfort and get what suits you best.
Bottom line…. we recommend the 600 TC Rajlinen Luxurious Egyptian 4Pcs Cotton Sheet Set for a comfortable night’s sleep in your RV.

- 6 What is the Best of the Best RV Bedding?
Now before you read on, let me say right off the top that these are the best… meaning they are also pretty expensive.
If cheap is what you want, a $29 sleeping bag from Walmart will do. So will a couple of blankets.
But if comfort and quality and a bit of luxury are what you are interested in, read on.
We have bought (yes, we paid for these three bedding solutions with our own money, no one gave them to us for a review), and we have slept in all three. And we like all three.
But we are asked all the time by our followers what is the best bedding solution for our RV. So, hence, this article.
We are convinced these are indeed THE BEST!

Best RV Bedding Solution #1: The RV SuperBag
For Jennifer and me, this one is time-tested. We bought a kingsized RVSuperbag back in 2012 when we first started out. And in 2013, we liked it so much we bought two twin-sized RV Superbags.
Extra: CLICK HERE to see the first review we did on it quite a few years ago!
We still use them today.
They have all held up wash after wash, trip after trip.
Think of a giant sleeping bag with top and bottom sheets inside.
In warm weather, there's a summer-weight comforter on top, with the winter-weight comforter on the bottom, serving as a sort of mattress pad.
If you're a cold-weather camper, just turn it over and use the heavier winter side as a blanket.
With the sheets Velcro'ed inside, the bed is always made up.
Just unroll it and toss it on top of the bed cushions, and you're done. The bed stays made.
On your return home, on the road. or at a laundromat, the sheets are easily removable for washing.
The standard sheets that come with the RV Superbag are 200 thread 50-50 poly/cotton. We upgraded to 300 thread 100% cotton. They are really comfy.
The RV Superbag comes in 10 different colors, and the company will do custom orders for specifically sized RV beds.
Our one criticism is that it takes patience to re-Velcro in the sheets. After more than a decade, though, Jen has it down pretty good. The secret is spreading the bag out so you can work your way around.
The standard king RV Superbag starts at $335. The Queen is $325, and the Single is $290 (always check prices as they will change through time) . For measurements, options like the 725 thread all-cotton sheets, and special decorator colors, check their website at http://www.rvsuperbag.com/
Best RV Bedding Solution #2: Aurora RV Linens
This solution is an option for those who own Leisure Travel Vans. Aurora RV Linens does custom camper bedding that will fit the Murphy beds, Island Beds, Corner Beds, and Twin Beds used in the Unity, Wonder, and Serenity RVs made by Leisure Travel Vans.
The Aurora bed linens are 100% cotton, Organic Cotton, or a 50/50 cotton/polyester blend. They can be ordered with fitted pocket-style corners or extra-long,
You can buy these as sets or individually. There are some customization extras.
- Pillowcases – $20 for a set of two.
- Mattress Pads – From $59 to $159 depending on the size
- Three different flat sheet materials – Cotton/poly blends, 100% cotton or organic cotton
- Fitted flat sheet footers – $15
- 2-inch depth increase on sheets – $10
Aurora RV Linens don't come with a blanket. So you can add $30 -$100 depending on the quality you choose. We picked out some Ugg blankets for $69 each from one of the big box stores that matched the Ash Gray color linens we ordered. Please ALWAYS check for current pricing.
We used this bedding on our winter campout up on the shores of Lake Michigan in February and found them to be very comfortable and luxurious.
The only challenge we found is in putting on the sheets when the mattress in our RV has one side and both the top and bottom up flush against the walls. It takes a bit of wrestling to get them tight on the mattresses and all the wrinkles out when you can't walk around all sides.
For two twin sets, with pillowcases, extra sheet length, 100% cotton, and two mattress pads, our order priced out at just under $500.
We are big fans of Aurora RV Linens. We had them on the near king-sized Murphy bed we had on our previous Leisure Travel Vans Unity FX model. Because you could walk around that bed, making it up was super easy.
Best RV Bedding Solution #3 – Beddy's
This is an RV bedding solution that we first heard about on one of our Sunday night “Ask Us Anything” live Question and Answer shows on our RV Lifestyle YouTube Channel . We were talking about camper bedding, and one of our viewers asked us if we had ever tried Beddy's.
We hadn't, so we looked it up online and immediately knew we had to try this out. So we ordered two twins.
Beddy's advertises itself as “the bed that practically makes itself.” Their slogan is “Zip your Bed.”
And while they were first sold for regular beds like you'd find in a house, they now also specialize in RV bedding.
Beddy's is the most innovative RV bedding solution we have seen. The entire bedding goes on the mattress like a fitted sheet. It's one piece with the bottom sheet sewn (permanently) inside. It stays in place. There is no bunching up.
The top sheet is the permanent part of the inside quilt. You can get it as super soft cotton or a plush ultra soft fabric they call “minky.” Jen got the cotton. Mike got the Minky.
Beddy's is in one piece with a zipper all around. You can unzip the top so it completely detaches from the bottom so you can kick your legs out if desired. Or use the zipper to tuck you in nice and snug. Your choice.
Because the bed attached to the mattress, in the morning, you just “zip your bed” and it is completely neat and made up.
We couldn't wait to try ours out. It was amazingly comfortable. Where the RV SuperBag tends to bunch up and the Aurora RV Linens came untucked and a bit tangled during my tossing and turning at night, my Beddy's stayed tight and in place.
Beddy's has many different designs and colors to choose from. We selected the Modern Gray color for our RV.
They all come with matching pillowcases and shams. And, something Jennifer particularly likes, they also come with a 14-inch drop that acts as a bed skirt to cover up the mattress.
For RVs, choosing the right size Beddy’s bedding is simple. The first thing you need to do is gather three measurements – the width of the mattress, the length of the mattress, and the depth of the mattress (how tall it is).
Ours is six inches. Beddy's says their product may appear a bit loose on mattresses under six inches thick. Our twin mattresses are six inches. But we use a mattress pad on top of it, so we get a great fit with their 39 X 75 inches offering.
Here are the various sizes Beddy's come in:
- Toddler – 28 X 52 inches or 71.12 X 132.08 centimeters
- Twin – 39 X 75 inches or 99.06 X 190.5 centimeters
- Twin XL – 39 X 80 inches or 99.06 X 203.5 centimeters
- Full – 54 X 75 inches or 137.16 X 190.5 centimeters
- Queen – 60 X 80 inches or 152.4 X 203.2 centimeters
- King – 76 X79.5 inches or 193 X 201.93 centimeters
- Twin, full, and queen sizes all fit up to a 15″ deep mattress and king size fits up to an 18″ mattress
The Beddy's were very easy to fit on the mattress.
But our one concern is in washing them. The sheets and top inside covering are not removable. To wash, you unzip it into two parts and wash the entire Beddy's. They should be washed alone, with no other items in the machine.
They wash in cold water on a normal cycle and should be tumble dried in a low setting.
The company says to prolong the life of the Beddy's, they don’t recommend washing it more than once a week.
The cost for our two twin-sized Beddy's was just under $500. Always check current pricing and sometimes they have BOGO sales!
If you are uncertain what style or color to order, Beddy's will send out 2 x 3 in fabric samples to help you make a decision. Just go to https://rvlifestyle.com/beddys
What is the Best of the Best RV Bedding?
I knew you were going to ask that.
In the video, we didn't make a choice. Sleep comfort is pretty personal, after all. All three of the items we reviewed are excellent.
For me, Mike, after sleeping in all three, I have to say that my favorite was the Beddy's. It was, flat out, the most comfortable RV bedding I have used.
For Jennifer, her favorite camper bedding is the RV SuperBag. She likes the summer side and winter side. And, even though it's sometimes frustrating to Velcro in those sheets after washing, she likes the fact that she can wash them alone.
A close runner-up for both of us was the Aurora RV Linens. They are very high quality. They're just hard to make up in our RV. On a bed you can walk around, they'd be perfect.

Aurora Linens are good quality. However, the Unity FX Murphy bed comes in more than one size now and the Aurora website hasn’t been updated. They do not give the dimensions on their website, they do not give out a phone number, and they don’t answer their web emails. This means there is no way to know what size fitted sheets you may get.

Ditto on the “Zip Sheets”, we have a regular queen mattress in a slide . It was extremely difficult to make, especially if you have arthritis or any type of limited mobility. Put the bottom sheet on once and then just unzip the center to wash. Washes and dry’s just like any top sheet. Made it much easier for us 70 yrs young full time campers

Thanks as always for your helpful articles. We just returned from cold weather/snow camping in Michigan and I brought a small electric blanket/throw that helped make the trip a real success. While our mattress has built in heating, my husband gets overheated while I freeze. I turned on the electric blanket before going to bed to warm up then turned it off and back on early morning. It’s probably best not to use an electric blanket all night because of EMFs although occasional use should be fine. Sometimes I put it over my knees to warm up after coming in from a hike. So, if you are camping in a site with electricity, I think an electric blanket or throw can be really useful in winter. I also always bring a small flannel sleeping bag that takes up very little room in my knapsack as an added safety feature for hiking. It can be unzipped and used for various purposes (even as a picnic blanket) and easily washed. Cheers!

Finding the best RV queen sheets might not always be really high up on your list of items for your RV. However, putting some careful thought into this is pretty vital.
You may put more effort into finding a great RV mattress , but the sheets you use are just as crucial for a good night’s sleep.
We’re going to show you the top queen sheets for RVs that you can buy.
Before we do that, let’s have a quick look at things you should think about before you go and make a purchase.
My Top Picks
In case you want to get right into the RV queen sheets recommendations, we put this section here so you can get that must-have information.
SGI bedding Queen Sheets Luxury Soft 100% Egyptian Cotton
Nestl bedding soft sheets, rajlinen luxury 600-thread-count sateen rv/camper, things to consider when buying rv queen sheets.
There can be quite a lot to think about when buying queen sheets. You might think that it is a straightforward purpose. However, doing some research first can make all the difference.
OK, so we’re looking at queen sheets; however, that doesn’t necessarily mean that queen sheets for a ‘normal’ bed in your home are the same size.
The beds that you find in many RV models tend to be a few inches shorter and narrower than what you would have at home. This is down to the compact space that most motorhomes have.
It is just something to keep in mind because picking up a random set of queen sheets might mean that they are too big. It is advisable to buy queen sheets that are made for an RV bed.
In most cases, the dimensions you need for an RV queen bed are 60″ x 80″ although some may also be 60″ x 75″ if the mattress is shorter.
Thread count
Thread count can be confusing because many people think that the higher the thread count means the better quality of the sheets.
This is true to an extent, but it isn’t the only thing that you should focus on. Thread count is essentially the total number of yarns per square inch of the fabric. Just because some RV sheets have a high thread count doesn’t mean that they are necessarily better.
Usually, getting a thread count between 300 – 500 is sufficient for comfort. So, while thread count is important, you need to consider it alongside the actual material and not just on its own.
RV bed sheets can be found in different materials.
You can find RV sheets in about nine different materials such as:
- Egyptian cotton
- Cotton blend
- Jersey knit
You might even find that you need different materials for different times of the year.
For example, RVs can get pretty hot in the warmer months, and sleeping can often be a bit challenging especially if you have heavy bedsheets. For those months, go with something like Microfiber as it is lightweight, whereas, in the colder months, a material like flannel is better.
Your skin type can also determine the material you go for. Bamboo, for example, is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, so it is ideal for sensitive skin. It is also very eco-friendly as well.
Egyptian Cotton is a good all-rounder. Its design means it will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
This links in with the material that you choose.
You want your RV sheets to be durable against stains if you spill something and so that the color and comfort don’t fade after a few washes.
Some RV sheets will be much more durable and long-lasting than others.
Bamboo, Polyester, Cotton Blend, and Microfiber are all pretty durable materials. Egyptian Cotton is another material known for its durability but it can cost more than other bedsheets.
10 Best RV Queen Sheets
Now that you have a better idea of what to look for with RV queen sheets let’s get right into the top ones that you can buy.
These Egyptian Cotton queen sheets are available in different sizes and you can get both queen size and short queen size.

That being said, we like the colors and variety of styles that you find with these sheets. They are another model that is designed for RV and motorhome living so sizes shouldn’t be an issue.

Choosing Sheets and Bedding Sets for RVs
Boost your RV experience with the right bedding—explore top sheets, blankets, and accessories tailored for RV sizes and comfort. Perfect for glampers!
Selecting sheets for a bed is important, but even more so when you're RV camping. Most homes are more temperature-controlled than RVs, not to mention more spacious and stationary. Take all of these factors into consideration when making a sheet selection.
When selecting sheets for your RV bed, be sure to measure the mattress first to ensure a good fit. Sheets that are too small or too large can pose problems when sleeping or making the bed. It may be necessary to purchase sheet suspenders to help keep your sheet in place. Be sure to take into consideration the depth of your mattress before making any purchases, as well.
Temperature
Depending on where you prefer to camp, it may be necessary to have more than one set of sheets. Sheets can come in a variety of materials that have a huge impact on sleeping temperature. In a colder climate, consider flannel sheets to help stay warmer. When staying in warmer climates (or for those who tend to be warm when sleeping), consider all-cotton sheets or even sheets that advertise cooling effects.
Choosing a top blanket may not require as many factors as choosing sheets, but this can still be an important decision. The type of material, weight, durability, cleaning instructions, and size are all factors that can influence a decision.
Beddy’s is one of the most popular options for bedding sets in RVs and homes alike. Anyone who hates making the bed is sure to enjoy this option. This innovative sheet and bedding combination set has an attached fitted sheet, top sheet, and comforter. The entire set goes onto the bed in the same way that a fitted sheet would, but the top sheet and comforter are attached. When you are ready to make the bed, you simply zip the side of the bed up, and it folds the sheet under the comforter. The zipper is hidden so as to not take away from the bedroom aesthetic. Having zippered bedding is also a perk with RV life so that everything stays put while traveling. It also makes making the bed significantly easier to make the bed, especially in tighter quarters.
Other Accessories
When upgrading your bedding, take into consideration some additional accessories that can add to the comfort and design of your space.
New Pillows
Decorative Pillows
Adding a little flair to your new bedding can be easy with some choice decorative pillows. If you chose a plain bedding scheme, consider adding some fun patterns, designs, or accent colors with throw pillows. If your new bedding is patterned and exciting, consider adding some neutral colors to round out the look.
Mattress Pads and Toppers
Bring your comfort levels up a few notches with a mattress pad or topper. The materials range from down to gel, memory foam, bamboo, and more. Selecting a material can be difficult with all of those choices. Before making a purchase, be sure to research what will work best for you in terms of allergens, comfort, sleep position, and temperature. Don’t forget to measure first to ensure your mattress accessory will fit!![Mattress toppers can be a game changer in an RV bed.
Where to Buy?
Once you’ve selected the type of bedding and accessories you’d like for your RV, it’s time to shop around. Buyers may need to do some quick searching on various websites or stores to find exactly what they’re looking for.
As with many other categories, Amazon has a huge selection of RV sheets, blankets, duvets, and more. One of the most convenient features is the ability to filter your results. Shoppers can set price ranges, search by brands, view results from low to high, and more. Be sure to read reviews from other RVers to ensure you’re receiving a quality product.
Etsy, known for their handmade crafts created by individuals, has a surprisingly large selection of RV bedding. A nice touch are some of the personalized blanket and pillow options that can make your RV feel extra special.
Camping World
Known for their wide selection of RV products, Camping World also sells RV bedding choices, as well. They offer sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows, and more to ensure your RV is as comfortable as possible.
Denver Mattress
Not only does Denver Mattress produce mattresses, but they also sell high-quality accessories, as well. Buyers can select sheets, comforters, blankets, pillows, and more on their website. If you purchased a mattress from them, your sheets will be a perfect fit!![Denver Mattress sells excellent RV mattresses and bedding sets.
Harvest Hosts Locations
There are numerous Harvest Hosts locations across North America that are home to alpacas. When the alpacas are sheared, their fleece can be turned into beautiful products, including blankets. Alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic, soft, and warm, making this an excellent choice for a top blanket.
Who knew upgrading bedding could present so many options? Hitting the hay after a long day of traveling or exploring can be so much more restful with comfortable bedding. A well-decorated space can also improve your mood and make your RV more enjoyable. Be sure to consider these options when making your next upgrade.

Order Custom RV Sheets for Your Camper
There’s nothing quite like sleeping out under the stars in an RV or camper. Finding quality RV mattress sheets and other bedding to fit the mattress can be challenging, though. They come in so many sizes and are quite different from standard residential mattresses.
If you’re looking for the perfect bedding for your next outing, one excellent option is to have it custom-made to your specifications. Here at Custom Bedding, we make each bedding set made to order.
Your camper bed sheets can be custom-made to fit the mattress perfectly. Numerous fabrics and color combinations are also available, according to your personal taste and style.
Where to Buy RV Bed Sheets
Campers come with beds in some very unique sizes. That’s why it’s not always easy to find bedding that fits an RV short-queen or bunk-style mattress.
We can cut your camper sheets to any size, making them perfectly match your camper mattress. They are available in a range of different fabrics and a variety of colors.
Our RV bed sheets are also of the highest quality fabrics, making them ideal for nights in the outdoors. As well as being soft, our bedding is also durable.
Vacationing in an RV is a fabulous experience, but let’s face it, your bed is only as comfortable as the RV fitted sheets you put on it.
Measuring for Camper Sheets
Most RV beds don’t match the standard bed sizes. Because they might come in some unusual shapes, your first step is to figure out what size your bed is. There are some typical RV beds, but some rigs come with non-standard mattresses.
The best thing to do is break out the measuring tape. That way, you can be confident you know what size RV sheets to order.
Create Your Own RV Sheet Set
Camper mattress sheets are similar to regular bedding. You can choose from made to order sets or a single piece of bedding. The custom RV linen collection includes all of the following:
- Flat sheets for camper beds
- Fitted sheets for RV beds
- Pillow cases
- Duvet covers (insert is not included)
If you’ve got bunk beds in your camper, don’t forget you’ll need to order two of everything.
