All ‘Boruto’ arcs in order

Rafaela Coimbra

When the Naruto manga reached its conclusion, its publishing company — Shueisha — suggested that a sequel be made, and thanks to that, we got Boruto: Naruto Next Generations . Considering Naruto is currently the sixth best-selling manga of all time, this wasn’t particularly surprising. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Boruto , but regardless of that fact, the series has acquired a loyal following of readers, and its success led to an anime adaptation airing about a year later.

At the time of writing, both the anime and manga series are still ongoing, with the source material having gathered 19 volumes thus far. As for the anime, almost 300 episodes have been aired since April 2017, despite the lack of enough canonical material to adapt. What this means is that, in order to keep the anime’s momentum going, studio Pierrot decided to add numerous events that never took place in the manga, instead of waiting around for chapters to be released.

Due to this choice, the Boruto anime currently has a a lot of filler episodes . Not all are bad, no. In fact, some are very entertaining , but it’s still crazy for the anime to have a total of 26 arcs, which is far more than the seven arcs its source material has to offer.

All About Boruto’s Time Travel Arc

when is the time travel arc in boruto

Boruto‘s time travel arc is a huge hit with the fans, and we can see why that’s the case.

Although the show hasn’t gone back to adapting manga, it has done the second best thing it could’ve possibly done, that is, go back to showing the fans content from Naruto .

As Urashiki Otsutsuki went back in time to get the Nine-tails from Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki followed him to put an end to his actions and stop him once and for all.

Table of Contents

In which episode boruto time travel?

Boruto and Sasuke go back in time when Urashiki turns on the Karasuki, which looks like a turtle. This happens in Boruto episode 128, which is part of the Time Slip Arc, which runs from episodes 128 to 136. The original Naruto book by Masashi Kishimoto is 20 years old, and this arc is part of a project to celebrate that.

In the rest of this piece, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Boruto and Sasuke’s trip back in time. You’ll find out what happened to send them there, what they did there, and how the whole adventure changed (or didn’t change) Naruto’s world as it had been set up years before.

Boruto Time-skip Arc – What’s Happening?

While that hasn’t happened right away, it’ll all be the focus of this 8-episode arc, and hopefully, we’ll get to see some great content in this arc as well.

Last week, again, we saw some great character interactions between the old generation characters such as Naruto, Hinata , Neji, and even Rock Lee.

It was really enjoyable to watch, but the most exciting part came towards the end of the episode, as we found out what was next for the arc.

According to the synopsis for Boruto Episode 131 , the next episode of the show is going to be titled “The Power of the Nine-Tails,” and these are the contents of the episode: “Urashiki is Back! Boruto, Sasuke, and Jiraiya try to rescue Naruto from Urashiki’s clutches but the Nine-Tails chakra gets out of control. Boruto manages to catch up to Urashiki but witnesses something disturbing?!”

We’re very excited to see this big team-up between Jiraiya and Sasuke Uchiha. Will Jiraiya find out who Sasuke really is? Or will that bit remain a mystery? We don’t know much about it yet, but hopefully, our questions will be answered soon.

Boruto Time-skip Arc – Urashiki vs Jiraiya

We’re even more excited to see what becomes of Urashiki Otsutsuki. Will he finally be taken down in this arc?

We certainly think that it could well be the case, but nothing can be said for sure, and if it truly is the case, then it’ll be even more interesting to see who possessed his Karma, and how they were able to manifest its powers.

Boruto's Time Travel Arc

Boruto Episode 131 is going to be released on November 3, 2019.

How do you guys feel about the upcoming time travel arc in Boruto? Apparently, Urashiki goes to the past to kill Naruto for the Nine-Tails because he knows he doesn’t have a chance against an adult Naruto. Boruto and Sasuke also go to the past.

I know I’m really nervous about it. What if it isn’t good quality? What if it opens plot holes? And how is this arc not significant enough to be manga content, because undoubtedly it’ll push Boruto’s development a lot? I kind of wish they just made this arc a non-canon movie.

But also, Kishimoto personally requested this arc, so I’m hopeful, too. Maybe that’ll be really good with his involvement. Who knows—maybe it’ll even close plot holes?

Let me know your thoughts… and let’s pray for this arc oof.

Kishimoto’s request for the arc doesn’t really settle my fear of this. Although there’s no doubt he is a skilled writer and artist, he’s definitely made a large number of mistakes in both departments across the whole series.

Then again, although they label this as canon, it will likely never or rarely be referenced and, as such, should be able to stand on its own without possibly butchering the plot.

I’m more worried about how time travel is done and the rules surrounding it because if it’s relatively simple to pull off or contains too few restrictions, then for the rest of the series whenever something bad happens, I’m going to think they should just time travel to solve it.

How did Boruto and Sasuke travel back in time?

Boruto 26 Sasuke 1 All About Boruto's Time Travel Arc

In the last few minutes of the first show of the arc, the events are talked about. As many shinobi work together to catch Urashiki, Sasuke tells Boruto that Urashiki probably stole Mirai’s energy and is using it to use genjutsu to lure shinobi out of the village. Thanks to the genjutsu, the Konoha shinobi are able to keep Krogi and Mirai from fighting each other. This is because each of them thinks the other is Urashiki.

Urashiki had been listening to Mirai’s radio to find out where they were going and is now getting ready to go after Naruto. Boruto stops Boruto and Sasuke from running to the Hokage’s office. He figures that Urashiki is after something else because Naruto still has skilled shinobi around, and he remembers that the symbol on the item in the news is the same one they saw at the ruins where they fought the White Zetsu.

Instead, they go to the research center, where they find shinobi whose chakra has been taken away. Urashiki turns on the turtle-shaped item Karasuki. Boruto and Sasuke show up and try to stop Urashiki from using it. Urashiki walks into the light that the gadget makes, and Boruto and Sasuke follow him into a strange place.

Boruto and Sasuke attack Urashiki, but he fights them off, pushing Boruto into Karasuki and making her fall off a ledge. Sasuke uses his Rinnegan to switch them with Urashiki, and Susanoo protects them all. They get lost and end up in a bush, but they find their way back to Konoha. But they find that the Hokage rocks only have four faces cut into them. This means that they are in the past.

In short, Urashiki turned on the Karasuki, which is what sent the two heroes back in time. Karasuki is a thing that the tsutsuki clan made. Karasuki is a very real person. He only talks to describe what’s going on or to ask what to do. Even though he is a part of the tsutsuki clan and talks about them with respect, he says that he doesn’t really care about any clan.

How does Boruto’s time travel change the world of Naruto?

Now, the long-term effects of this arc on Naruto’s past and future aren’t really important. As a short arc in an anime series, the arc couldn’t really change what had already been set up, and it didn’t change anything big or retcon anything in the series. But what it did was tell us more about the original Naruto story, but from a different point of view.

In particular, the time travel arc gave us a new way to look at the events of the first series. It’s not just a new view from within the world; it’s also something new for us, the old(er) fans of the series who were there when it all happened the first time.

This story arc let us see some of the characters and their powers and abilities from new views. It also helped us understand the feelings behind the original stories much better.

Naruto turned out to have a lot more depth than we thought at first, and the Time Slip Arc made it easy for us to see that from a current point of view and in the light of some new events.

A spin-off of the original Naruto/Naruto Shippuden series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , focuses on the adventures of Boruto Uzumaki, the son of the original series’ protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki. Furthermore, the Time Slip story arc, running between episodes 127-136, was a nostalgia trip for many fans.

10 Old History

If you ask fans of the Naruto series, whether they like Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, you’ll probably get mixed reviews. In some instances you’ll find individuals who hate the series, seeing each episode as slow, boring, or ridiculous. In other cases you’ll find individuals who embrace the change, seeing Boruto, as an interesting yet entertaining change from the original series. And then some fall in the middle, seeing both sides of the fandom’s arguments and agreeing with both. In any case, one thing that can be said about the Boruto Time Slip story arc is that it added a great deal to the Naruto/Boruto landscape.

The first thing learned is that time travel is usually only accessible to the Ōtsutsuki clan , a race of immensely powerful immortal beings, although we would see Boruto and Sasuke be this exception. Moreover, what was so funny about this ability was the fact that writers decided to take the time-traveling device, a sentient, talking turtle named Karasuki, playing on the nature of turtles having long lifespans.

9 Just How Far The Konoha 11 Have Come

Having Boruto and Sasuke travel 20 years in the past was an amazing opportunity for the creators of the series to send fans on a trip down memory lane. What was fascinating about the beginning episodes of this arc was Boruto’s interactions with younger versions of his elders. As we are reminded, Naruto and members of his generation have grown and matured in the time between the first Naruto series and Boruto.

RELATED: Naruto: 10 Worst Things Sasuke Uchiha Has Ever Done

For example, Boruto and young Shino Aburame’s interaction perfectly exemplifies the idea that age has a way of changing one's stance and approach to life and people. To analyze further, Shino’s matter of fact and blunt nature was a focal point of his character in the original series. However, this character trait is seen to be vastly different from how we see him in Boruto, illustrating a level of maturity as he takes on the nurturing role of sensei to the next generation of young shinobi.

8 Wide Reaching Effects

Throughout the Naruto series, the absence of Sasuke Uchiha played a significant role in the lives of his teammates, pushing them to be stronger all with the goal of one day bringing Sasuke back home to the Hidden Leaf. Yet what this story arc constantly refers to is the effect Sasuke’s desertion had on the Hidden Leaf Village as a whole. Regret was the emotion felt by all members of the Konoha 11, Shikamaru Nara , of Team 10 making that point during Naruto, Boruto, Jiraiya, and Sasuke’s battle with Urashiki. Furthermore, from the Time Slip, we understand just how deep the love runs between members of Naruto’s generation.

7 Million Dollar Idea

Upon arriving in the Hidden Leaf Village of old, Sasuke makes a point of reminding the emotional and impulsive Boruto of this. And yet even with this seemingly golden rule of time travel, Boruto mistakenly does something that would catapult the shinobi world into seemingly the age of modern technology, unknowingly gives Ereki Kaminarimon, Denki Kaminarimon’s, a friend of Boruto in his own time, to father the idea of what would be called the Thunder Rail.

6 Swiss Army Eyes

The character of Urashiki Ōtsutsuk was one that allowed fans to gain a better understanding of just how formidable members of the Ōtsutsuk clan are. Firstly, what made Urashiki so impressive throughout this story arc was his possession of the famous Byakugan, an ability that allowed Urashiki to have a nearly 360-degree range of visibility.

RELATED: Naruto: 10 Strongest Characters In The Second Great Ninja War

If that wasn’t enough Urashiki also possessed two types of Rinnegan , the first being red, granting him the terrifying ability to bend space and time, as well as travel through dimensions at will. Additionally, the Urashiki also possessed a blue Rinnegan, which provided him with the ability to travel a few seconds in the past, making him a dangerous opponent.

5 Urashiki's Transportation Technique

Ultimately, Urashiki’s Transportation Technique, accessible through his use of his blue Rinnegan, shows just how powerful members of the Ōtsutsuk are as well as the range of abilities within the series' landscape. Furthermore, what was most amazing about Urashiki’s display of abilities, was the fact that it proved there to be uncharted levels of power, not reached by individuals within the Naruto landscape outside of celestial beings. In addition to this, this new display of power, allows the fan to begin to ask the question, what other levels of power are out there and are they attainable to the everyday shinobi?

4 Unlikely Solutions

Throughout the series thus far, members of the Ōtsutsuk clan have taken the place as the main villain group. We first were introduced to Kaguya within the original series, who almost brought an end to the shinobi world. Next, we were introduced to Momoshiki, an insanely arrogant and violent enemy, whose presence in the series allowed fans to gain a better understanding of the motives of the Ōtsutsuki's. Ultimately it was revealed that chakra and the conception of it were what drove the Ōtsutsuki.

Furthermore, in the Time Slip arc, Urashiki plays to his nature, using what seems to be a chakra stealing fishing line to absorb the chakra and abilities of his victims. Consequently, what seemed to be the unlikely but brilliant solution, was the famous Sealing Jutsu technique, coming by way of Jiraiya. Ultimately, this revealed that the prevention of chakra stealing is possible even in the face of beings as powerful as the Ōtsutsuki.

3 A God's Kryptonite

This story arc also sheds some light on the limits of the Ōtsutsuki clan. While it is not new information to fans that the Ōtsutsuki are not eternal beings but rather immortal, the difference being that immortals can be defeated by some means, it's also interesting to see the limits of their invulnerability. In turn, what was fascinating about this arc was the fact that we got many unconventional means used by our heroes to combat Urashiki including Jiraiya’s use of gas within the stomach of his summoning toad to poison and briefly incapacitate Urashiki. While this did not take down Urashiki, it was that small piece of information that added to the growing list of things the shinobi world can use to combat the Ōtsutsuki, and stand somewhat of a chance.

2 Creepy Power-Ups

Within Naruto, eyes are as easily removable as a pair of earrings. In turn, while this action when done by characters in the series, it is not surprising, what was surprising when we saw Urashiki do so during the tail end of the main Time Slip arc battle, his action after doing so. Gaining an admittedly impressive and powerful new form, Urashiki was only able to do so after consuming his Rinnegan in its blue state. Furthermore, for members of the Ōtsutsuki chakra conception is not limited to external forces, power-ups can occur if one consumes a body part with high concentrations of chakra.

The Sharingan is perhaps one of the most widely known and widely feared dōjutsu in the Naruto series. Possessed mainly by members of the Uchiha clan, although individuals outside of the Uchiha clan like Danzo Shimura and Kakashi Hatake possessed the power Sharingan for a short amount of time. This ability is versatile, constantly evolving. Ultimately what this arc showed us was just how powerful Sasuke Uchiha has gotten throughout the series. The Time Slip arc showcased Sasuke’s memory deletion technique, a seemingly new technique seen by viewers, that allows Sasuke to wipe the memories of anyone he chooses. Furthermore, this ability was an interesting one for Sasuke to showcase, playing deeper to his role of operating at the shinobi world’s Shadow Hokage.

All of Naruto's Akatsuki Duos, Ranked

Emily in paris season 5: will it happen everything we know, 7 actors who almost played buffy the vampire slayer.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations ' time-traveling Urashiki arc has come to an end, but unfortunately it wasn't a satisfying one. With Urashiki Ōtsutsuki’s defeat finally secured, episode 136 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was set to begin — and conclude — on a high note, touching on notable elements, characters, and relationships from the original series for maximum nostalgia. The show’s Time Slip arc saw the last of the Ōtsutsukis being dramatically overwhelmed by the force of Boruto and Naruto Uzumaki’s father-son Rasengan, effectively purging all traces of him from the multiverse.

This week's episode, "Crossing Time," hardly delivered, however, and offered an underwhelming conclusion to what should have been a dramatic apex. Instead of meaningful pathos, lifelong fans of the original series were treated to Boruto ’s version of Naruto Shippūden the Movie: The Lost Tower , with arguably less syrupy dialogue. At Jiraiya’s request, Sasuke had wiped everyone’s memories clean of temporal alteration, resulting in a conventionally unblemished future and an arc with hardly any lasting stakes.

Related:  How Boruto's Time Travel Changes The World Of Naruto

While the show has gradually come into its own , Boruto: Naruto Next Generations still derives most of its content from fan nostalgia, its greatest arcs poignantly inspired by its predecessor in some way. The Versus Momoshiki arc, which took place during the New Era’s Five-Village Chūnin Exams, is a momentous example of this, having served as a direct sequel to Naruto Shippūden ’s Infinite Tsukuyomi arc, as well as Ōtsutsuki matriarch Kaguya’s defeat at the hands of her children Hagoromo and Hamura several centuries before the start of the series.

The franchise as a whole is something of an emotional gut punch, and like every other arc in the series, Urashiki’s ill-fated shinobi invasion should have foregone baseline humor and concluded the same way. Time-travel stories often serve a dual purpose: to retcon past events, thereby altering the future, and to provide viewers with a healthy dose of delicate nostalgia. If recent events — Sasuke’s redemption, Jiraiya’s return, and Boruto’s daddy issues — are any indication, the last episode of the Time Slip arc was better off following a similar route. Here's how it should have happened.

Evolved Techniques and Defenses

Introducing a foreign threat to an era that has barely even invented the wheel — in this case, improved dōjutsu and ninja tech — has both its upsides and disadvantages. If plotted right, said alteration could charter civilization, set the world on a one-way course to the stars and back. A Type II Kardashev civilization would certainly discourage war and provide adequate defenses against alien invasion. However, if plotted wrong, any changes to the time stream could result in said civilization ultimately destroying itself. Fortunately, with Jiraiya at the helm, the latter would have been deductively unlikely.

Despite his goofy, ludicrous demeanor, Jiraiya remains deferentially discerning as a mentor and a ninja. He was the only character in the original series to be made aware of Sasuke and Boruto’s trip to the past, and would have treated this fact with the same dutiful reverence as the Great Toad Sage Gamamaru’s once-in-a-lifetime prophecies. Any sort of knowledge about the future could easily create misinformation among the villages and spread fear. Knowing this, Jiraiya could have presumably incorporated what he knew into his lifelong search for peace instead, allowing shinobi everywhere to better prepare themselves for any and all threats to come . Being dutifully strategic himself, adult Sasuke would have been unlikely to share specific milestones with Jiraiya, much less provide warnings, and would have only vaguely implied what’s to come.

Related:  Naruto: The Otsutsuki Clan Origin And Powers Explained

Based on this, Jiraiya could have easily reverse-engineered an upgraded level of defense against the looming threat posed by Kaguya and the Ōtsutsukis, safely introduced decades ahead of its time and fully cultivated by all five ninja villages. This could have been anything from improved sealing techniques — proven effective in small doses against Urashiki’s chakra rod — to personalized ninja technology.

Naruto as Child of Prophecy

Despite Sasuke’s best efforts at strategically containing the situation, he had not only run into Sakura — his future wife — he had also given Jiraiya , one of the Sannin, sufficient reason to believe he is Sasuke Uchiha decades into the future. And since child Naruto is still too young to comprehend time travel, only the Toad Hermit was informed of events to come, as well as Sasuke and Boruto’s real-world identities — effectively confirming Naruto’s place in history as the real child of prophecy. This is a time paradox, but it could have potentially explained how Jiraiya even knew Naruto was significant at all.

In the original series, Jiraiya had no clue whose destiny was tied to the fates and when; was it Minato, or Nagato/Pain? Was it Sasuke, post-Itachi? Was Naruto always the child of prophecy, or did circumstance simply build and adjust around him? Was his destiny written line by line, or foreseen? At that time, nobody knew. Not even the Great Toad Sage Gamamaru and his closest associates. Jiraiya himself took on Naruto as a student without necessarily confirming his destiny; he simply had faith in him and chose to do so. Jiraiya never managed to confirm his suspicions before his untimely death, but the Time Slip arc could have retconned this particular detail dramatically. At the cost of pathos, however, history was preserved and Jiraiya himself stayed none the wiser.

Ninja Flashpoint

As a global franchise roughly 15 years in the making, Naruto is nothing if not sentimental, and Boruto — thematically speaking — hasn’t been any different. The series is best characterized by its powerful feels trips, often sending fans into an emotional frenzy and making dedicated bawlers out of grown men and women. The hotly anticipated conclusion to the Urashiki arc was set to tug at our heartstrings and end on a relatively bittersweet note, like every other saga that came before.

Related:  Boruto Is Stronger Than Naruto Was At The Same Age

This could have come from either Sasuke or Jiraiya, both valued comrades of Boruto’s father, but since the Toad Hermit is already long dead in the future and adult Sasuke is unlikely to babble, the arc should have concluded with Jiraiya sending his best student a letter from the grave through Sasuke a la Batman and Flashpoint — a structured, heartfelt tearjerker that proudly acknowledges the man Naruto has become and praises all he’s achieved, ending with the Seventh Hokage heartrendingly bursting into tears.

Instead, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations  opted for crude, shallow humor — with the occasional misplaced attempt at emotional catharsis — leaving viewers feeling empty and zealously dissatisfied. Sasuke shared a moment with Sakura toward the end of episode 136, but interactions remained stale and sparing, the narrative relatively lackluster. The best part of the episode showed Sasuke finally baring his Sharingan, startling child Naruto and eliciting a canny smile from the long-deceased Toad Hermit. Unlike the Urashiki arc’s penultimate episode, which was considerably more moving, “Crossing Time” started promising, but ultimately devolved into nugatory bathos. It was a feeble attempt on the part of Boruto ’s writers at recreating the glory and characteristic poignancy of the original series, but much like the rest of the show, ended up falling flat on its face.

Directed by Noriyuki Abe, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , episode 137, “The Samurai Exchange Student” airs on Dec. 22 on TV Tokyo.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 13 - What To Expect

  • Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 focuses on the intense battle between Jura and Boruto Uzumaki, promising exciting developments.
  • Fans can expect Jura to potentially consume Hidari's power, increasing his strength, or show camaraderie towards him, leading to unpredictable outcomes.
  • Jura's true strength and abilities are set to be revealed in the upcoming chapter, making the battle against Boruto and Kawaki a thrilling showdown.

This article contains spoiler from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has taken fans on quite an exciting ride as of late, and the last few chapters have overseen quite a lot of exciting developments in the series, with more to come in the upcoming chapters. Right now, all eyes are on Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, and hopefully, it will live up to all expectations and more.

Boruto: The True Strength Of Rasengan Uzuhiko, Explained

Rasengan Uzuhiko is a powerful jutsu used by Boruto Uzumaki. Its full power is yet to be seen.

Given that the previous chapter covered the exciting fight between Boruto Uzumaki and Hidari, the upcoming fight that is going to be focused on in the next chapter is certainly going to surpass that one as it does appear to be the main dish. Boruto: TBV chapter 13 is going to be focusing on that and much more, and that is exactly what is being discussed here.

Jura Vs Boruto Uzumaki Finally Begins

Jura is keen to show a piece of his skill soon.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 is most definitely going to focus on the battle between the ninjas and Jura. In the previous chapter, Hidari was defeated by Boruto Uzumaki's powerful strike, and the final blow to him was dealt by none other than Kawaki. In the upcoming chapter, there is another big fight to come, and this one is going to be against Jura, the man who fans believe is the strongest of the Shinju. It is no surprise that this fight is going to be exciting, and fans know that because Jura does appear to have the most exciting personality out of them all, and at the same time, the one who has tried exploring his power to the fullest. He still doesn't know the extent of his own powers, and that is precisely what makes him a very exciting villain for the upcoming developments in Boruto. In the previous after, he was able to get the Thorn Soul Bulb of none other than Hidari in his own grasp, and it will be interesting to see what he does with it. Depending on whether he has any feelings of camaraderie towards Hidari or if he truly just cares about his power, fans will see what his next step is going to be. Needless to say, this can go in two directions.

I've decided to eliminate you here, Boruto Uzumaki! Jura

The first thing that could potentially happen in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 is Jura consuming Hidari. This is a massive possibility and, in this case, consuming this Thorn Soul Bulb is essentially going to give him Hidari's powers, or, in other words, the same powers as Sasuke. This will push him to an entirely new level and ensure that he becomes strong enough to essentially overwhelm everyone around him. This certainly makes for an exciting possibility and is one that fans should keep in the back of their heads as they move forward with Boruto.

On the other hand, Boruto: TBV chapter 13 could turn things around completely and see Jura show signs of camaraderie towards Hidari. In this case, he could simply protect the Thorn Soul Bulb and fight Boruto and the ninjas as he is. He does believe that he has enough strength to defeat them and, as a result, he could potentially take them on and overwhelm them in battle. Later on, he could see to it that Hidari is brought back to life, this time stronger than ever before. These are the two possibilities that fans should keep in mind going forward in the Boruto series.

Jura's True Strength Is Revealed In Boruto: TBV Chapter 13

Jura will unleash his powers to the fullest.

Regardless of whether Jura consumes the Thorn Soul Bulb or not, fans will get to see him in exciting combat in the next chapter, and that is precisely what is going to make up the meaty part of Boruto: TBV chapter 13. Fans should expect Jura to grow in terms of power while he's fighting. It must be remembered his own capabilities are unknown to him and he will continue to evolve as he fights. He will find out more about the powers of the person whose body he stems from, and at the same time, grow in the midst of battle as he gains more experience. He is far more evolved than any human, and that is what sets him apart.

Boruto: Thorn Soul Bulb, Explained

The Shinju's soul bulbs might be the solution to save Sasuke Uchiha in Boruto. Here's how.

For now, he has already dealt a damaging blow to Uzumaki and even Sarada , which means that he already has an advantage. This will aid him going forward as well, and, at the same time, he will continue destroying all his enemies with overwhelming strength. Fans should absolutely not expect him to go down easy like Hidari did, and that is exactly what makes the next chapter that much more exciting.

I'm only just letting loose a bit! Jura

Another thing that makes this battle exciting is that fans don't truly know what Jura is and what abilities he holds. The only power that he has shown so far is the ability to shoot out a tailed beast bomb or a laser form of the same ability from his eyes. Other than that, his abilities have not been revealed, which also hides his parent body from the fans. Perhaps, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 is going to reveal what other powers he holds and how he utilizes them in the battle against Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki.

What Is Next For The Shinju In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?

The shinju could be on the move in boruto.

The Shinju are a major part of the ongoing Boruto Arc, and it is highly likely that they will continue to do so in the upcoming chapters as well. Clearly, Jura is the most important of the Shinju and he will continue to fight against Boruto in the upcoming chapter 13 of the series. He will also likely fight against Kawaki, and overwhelm him with ease, given that Kawaki is nowhere close to Boruto in terms of strength. Fans will likely get to see an overwhelming showing of strength from him, but, at the end of the day, Konoha cannot be destroyed, which means that either he has to retreat, or he will be destroyed here.

Then, there are also the other Shinju that should come into play at some point later down the line. They are both powerful characters and they need to make their moves as well. Hopefully, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 is going to give fans an idea of their whereabouts and what they plan on doing later down the line.

Apart from major combat, which would put Konoha in peril, there isn't much to expect from the upcoming chapter of Boruto. Right now, Himawari is already down, as is Konohamaru, and potentially even Sarada. Kawaki is not going to last long in combat, which means that Boruto is the only hope against Jura at this point in time. Their upcoming battle is certainly going to be very exciting, but, at the end of the day, if Jura is taken down too easily, then this arc will surely be very underwhelming. Fans expect the next chapter to be focused around Jura's powers, and hopefully, him being given a lot of attention.

Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, is set to be August 21, 2024.

Japan issues first 'megaquake' warning after 7.1-magnitude temblor

TOKYO — Japan issued its first warning Thursday about the possibility of a long-feared "megaquake" after a powerful 7.1-magnitude temblor struck off its southern coast, sparking a tsunami advisory but no immediate reports of serious damage or injuries.

The ea r thquake occurred off the coast of Miyazaki Prefecture on the main island of Kyushu at 4:42 p.m. local time (3:42 a.m. ET), at a depth of about 18 miles, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

Three people were reported injured, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said, although he added that there had been no blackouts or damage to the water or communications systems reported in the region. Police in Miyazaki Prefecture said there had been 10 reports of damage. Hayashi urged residents to stay away from the coastline.

Seismologists held an emergency meeting to analyze whether the quake had affected the nearby Nankai Trough — the source of past devastating earthquakes. The meteorological agency ultimately issued what it called a "mega earthquake caution," assessing that the possibility of a large quake was relatively higher than usual but not that one would definitely occur in the near future.

It urged the country's residents to practice increased vigilance for the next week.

"We ask all citizens to carefully check every new information issued by the government, reconfirm their daily earthquake preparedness, and be ready to evacuate immediately in the event of an earthquake," Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told a news briefing.

Earlier, officials issued a tsunami advisory following Thursday morning's quake, warning residents to immediately leave coastal areas of Kochi and Miyazaki prefectures until the warning is lifted. Advisories are issued when the waves are not expected to exceed 1 meter (3.3 feet).

Tsunami waves of up to 1.6 feet were detected along parts of Kyushu’s southern coast and the nearby island of Shikoku about a half hour after the quake struck. Japanese broadcaster NHK said Miyazaki Port had reported a surge of 20 inches.

That said, most of the damage so far has been relatively light. Police in Miyazaki Prefecture said there have been some reports of landslides and some traffic lights have stopped working. NHK said some windows were broken at the prefecture's airport and that the runway had been temporarily closed for checks.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Kagoshima Prefecture, concrete walls collapsed and a wooden house was damaged.

Of the people injured across the two prefectures, two are reported to be older women, who were taken to hospital after falling, while another was a female factory worker struck in the back by a falling object.

The Nuclear Regulation Authority said all 12 nuclear reactors on Kyushu and Shikoku remain safe. Earthquakes in areas with nuclear power plants have been a major concern since a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake and ensuing tsunami triggered the Fukushima nuclear disaster in March 2011.

Japan sits on the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' — a line of seismic faults encircling the Pacific Ocean — and is one of the world’s most earthquake-prone countries. A temblor there Jan. 1 in Japan’s north-central region of Noto left more than 240 people dead.

honestly the only arc in all of naruto&boruto i really regret having seen. while it was entertaining to watch, for me it did leave a stain on the series, because time travel based on an artifact that suddenly got dug up from the ocean is just way too cheap and also if you bring in time travel once you can never take it from that universe.
