Next, you will pass through the Lower East Side, before heading north on the FDR drive where you will be greeted with spectacular views of the Brooklyn and Queens skylines.  You will approach the halfway point near East 42nd Street, and pass the United Nations building, before taking a turn towards Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park.  You will then head up Seventh Avenue before passing by 1000 children running through Times Square.  Finally you will enter Central Park, and head north to 102nd Street Cross Drive. The crowd support will be incredible, as you make your final turn south on West Drive, and finish in style in the heart of the city, Central Park.

Just a quick note to say we had a great weekend in Berlin. Weather was fantastic and Eoin did a great job looking after the guests from Ireland. Well organised and hotel was first class. The run went well and enjoyed a great rugby victory on the Saturday evening. Perfect weekend.

I just wanted to say thanks for a really well organised tour to Chicago for the marathon. I got back this morning. The hotel was great and couldn’t have been better located for the race start and finish. Also all of your instructions were spot on and helped a lot. That was my fifth major with only Tokyo to do now! Once again thanks for a great trip.

What's up this Fall for the PGA Tour? Eight events in four countries give players lifeline

Fedex cup fall will take players to mexico, japan, bermuda, las vegas and utah before ending at the sea island club on st. simons island, ga..

sports tours international facebook

After this week's Open Championship at Royal Troon in Scotland and the Barracuda Championship in Trucklee, Calif., there are only two regular-season FedEx Cup events left: the 3M Championship July 25-28 at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn., and the Wyndham Championship Aug. 8-11 in Greensboro, N.C.

But the PGA Tour announced its lifeline on Tuesday for players who have run out of starts and time to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

For the second year in a row, the Tour will hold its FedEx Cup Fall competition, with eight official Tour events giving players that many more chances to squeeze into the top 125 on the points list and keep their Tour cards for the 2025 season.

Also at stake is a spot in the 2025 Players Championship and status for other full-field events.

FedEx Cup Fall includes three international stops

FedEx Cup Fall begins on Sept. 12-15 with the Napa Valley Golf Championship. After a two-week break for the Presidents Cup, the Fall schedule resumes with tournaments in Jackson, Miss., Utah, Las Vegas, Japan, Mexico and Bermuda before the season ends with the RSM Classic at the Sea Island Club on St. Simons Island, Ga., Nov. 21-24.

The inaugural Black Desert Championship (Oct. 7-13) will be the first PGA Tour event in Utah since 1963. It will be played at the Black Desert Resort, the final co-design (with Phil Smith) by the late Tom Weiskopf before he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in June.

The RSM Classic was the coming-out party for Ludvig Åberg, who set the tournament scoring record and tied the PGA Tour's 72-hole scoring record at 29-under-par 253 to become the first player to get his card through the PGA Tour University rankings and win in the same season.

Players can chase Signature Event status

The top 70 on the points list will advance to the FedEx Cup Playoff opener, the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis Sept. 15-18. The top 50 after that advance to the BMW Championship Sept. 22-25 at Castle Pines in Colorado and the top 30 will then qualify for the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.

The players who qualify for the first leg of the playoffs are exempt for the 2025 season. Those who reach the BMW Championship are exempt for all Signature Events in 2025.

Those ranked 51st and beyond can carry their points over to FedEx Cup Fall. The finishers between Nos. 51-60 will qualify for the first two Signature Events next season, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational.

The Best Sneakers of 2024 (So Far)

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe and Sneaker

We’re a little ways past the year’s midway point, which means it’s high time we took stock of the best sneakers of 2024. And so far, at least, it feels like there’s been something of a sea change in the finicky world of kicks. A handful of sneaker-collecting standbys—the transparent bids for virality, the run-of-the-mill retro releases, the perennial hypebeast faves—simply haven’t been hitting quite as hard as they used to. Instead, what’s really resonating now are sneakers with an original vision and an emphasis on premium materials and clean design.

High-fashion collaborations remain hotter than ever, with some of the world’s most vaunted design houses linking up with sneaker brands to reimagine classic models. New shapes and silhouettes have made a strong impression, with state-of-the-art materials working their way into shoes like never before. In short, some aspects of sneaker culture as we’ve known it are beginning to fade out—and they’re quickly being replaced with new, extremely exciting alternatives.

Sneakers are dead. Long live sneakers. These are the best sneakers of 2024 so far.

Bode x Nike Astro Grabber

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe and Sneaker

For Bode’s debut Nike collaboration, Emily Adams Bode Aujla savvily dug deep into the Swoosh’s archives to uncover the Astro Grabber , a long-forgotten football shoe from the 1970s. The sneaker has, in the months since this much-hyped limited release, found itself elevated back to legend status. It is, without question, the shoe of the season—to the point that you might already be sick of it popping up on your IG feed. More than a hype-fueled flash in the pan, the Bode x Nike Astro Grabber is a true classic in the making, doing for the silhouette what Wales Bonner did for the Samba a few years back.

JJJJound x Adidas Samba

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe and Sneaker

Speaking of Wales Bonner’s Sambas: the British label’s beloved partnership with Adidas is still going strong . But if we had to choose the single best iteration on the Samba this year, that title would have to go to the deceptively luxe spin from JJJJound . Rather than dress the iconic soccer shoe up with any new bells and whistles, the Montreal design studio decided to simply master the basics. They rendered the Samba in three classic colorways—the OG white and black makeups, alongside a new hairy tan suede—and then had them fashioned from the finest of premium leathers by artisans in Adidas’s native Germany. The result feels like the definitive version of an all-time great sneaker.

New Balance 1906L

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Running Shoe

From the moment it debuted at Paris Fashion Week in January—on the runway of the revered Junya Watanabe, no less—New Balance’s sneaker-loafer hybrids generated a maelstrom of discourse and memes. It would’ve been easy to imagine the silhouette wearing out its welcome before it even arrived (it’s scheduled to release sometime later this fall). But in the end, this is simply a good shoe —comfy, versatile, and far less bizarre than its reputation might suggest—one that we’re anticipating so heavily that it demanded a place on this list well in advance of its official launch.

Studio Nicholson x Asics 360 VIII

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Running Shoe

If we have one criticism of the Studio Nicholson x Asics 360 VIII, it’s how hard it is to find: the sleek collab was limited to an ultra-scarce 100 pairs worldwide. Inspired by the architecture and street style of Tokyo, the lush black kicks were hand-finished in London with Italian leather detailing—a testament to Studio Nicholson’s fabric-first ethos.

Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Suede

As soon as the acclaimed Chicago artist Nina Chanel Abney began teasing her latest Air Jordan collaboration on Instagram back in January, it was clear it was destined to become one of the year’s sickest new Js. That proved true: Abney’s take on the Air Jordan 3 is every bit as vibrant as her art, making a familiar silhouette feel as fresh and novel as the day it was released.

Issey Miyake x New Balance MT10O

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Running Shoe

This low-profile trail runner is every bit as streamlined and tasteful as you might expect from Issey Miyake . With its minimalist lines and monochromatic tones, the barely-there sneakers are an ode to what Issey designer Satoshi Kondo calls “the concept of barefoot mobility” and “the notion of ‘natural and honest shape.’”

Hidden NY x Asics Gel-NYC

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Running Shoe

This one’s for the Adobe heads in the audience. Hidden NY’s flip on the beloved Asics Gel-NYC is subtle but striking, tweaking the brand’s famous stripes to appear pixelated and low-resolution. Rather than a designer shoe, Hidden says, this is “rather a shoe for designers everywhere.”

Atmos x Adidas Gazelle 85

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Canvas

The homey, vintage-inspired patchwork aesthetic of the Atmos x Adidas Gazelle 85 feels tailor-made for 2024. Launched to celebrate the new flagship store of the Japanese retailer in Tokyo, Atmos and Adidas teamed up yet again to deliver a wildly original vision that still feels somehow timeless.

Miu Miu x New Balance SL

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker Running Shoe and Suede

Much like the Issey Miyake x New Balance MT10O, the Miu Miu’s collaboration with the Boston athletic brand also trades NB’s typical chunkiness for a notably trimmed-down look . Borrowing some of the minimalist splendor of Miu Miu’s viral ballet flats , it feels like a classic New Balance dad shoe that’s been sliced in half and pared down to its very essence.

C.P. Company x Asics Gel-Quantum 360 VIII

Image may contain Clothing Footwear Shoe Sneaker and Running Shoe

Italy’s C.P. Company linked up with Asics’s Sportstyle division to produce this cutting-edge interpretation of the Gel-Quantum 360 VIII. Designed as an homage to “natural forms and interlocking structures,” the shoe has been reengineered to include lightweight “Division Space” tech across the midsole and various 5D-printed details, all designed to minimize its environmental impact.

Messi's 109th goal leads defending champion argentina over canada 2-0 and into copa america final.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Lionel Messi and Argentina moved within one win of joining Spain as the only nations to win three straight major titles.

“It’s insane what this team has done, what the Argentina national team is doing,” Messi said Tuesday night after his 109th international goal sealed a 2-0 victory over Canada that earned a berth in this weekend's Copa America final. “For those who remain from the old guard, it’s beyond impressive that the national team is in another final.”

Recommended Videos

Julián Álvarez put the Albiceleste ahead in the 22nd minute, controlling a long pass from Rodrigo De Paul, taking two touches to get away from Moïse Bombito and slipping the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau for his ninth international goal.

Messi redirected Enzo Fernández’s shot following a poor Ismaël Koné clearance in off the face of Crépeau from 4 yards in the 51st for his first goal of the tournament. Messi has 28 goals in his last 25 matches for Argentina and 14 in Copa America play, three shy of the record. He has scored against 38 different nations.

“I wasn’t sure if Enzo’s ball was going to get in,” Messi said. “It was a reflex.”

Only Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo with 130 has more international goals than Messi, who turned 37 on June 24. Iran’s Ali Daei had 108 or 109 from 1993 to 2006, with a lingering dispute over whether a goal against Ecuador in 2000 occurred in a full international match.

With a victory on its independence day, Argentina extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games. The Albiceleste seek a record 16th Copa title when they play Uruguay or Colombia on Sunday at Miami Gardens, Florida.

“We have to enjoy every moment of what we’re are living," Messi said. "I'm conscious that these are the last battles.”

Trying to string together Copa America titles around the 2022 World Cup championship, Argentina hopes to match Spain's feat of winning the 2008 and 2012 European Championships along with the 2010 World Cup.

“These are statistics. I'm not really interested about it,” Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni said through a translator. “The most important thing is to win.”

Making his 38th Copa America appearance, Messi had missed Argentina’s group stage finale with a leg injury and was subdued while playing 90 minutes in the quarterfinal win over Ecuador . He was much more agile and shot just wide in the 12th and 44th minutes.

Messi had 45 touches and a 79% pass success rate.

“They make us pay on small details,” Crépeau said.

MetLife’s temporary grass surface appeared heavy, with water splashing and sand popping up during dribbles.

“It’s has been a very difficult Copa América,” Messi said, “very competitive, bad surfaces, excessive heat.”

Argentina fans gathered in Times Square on the eve of the match and filled the streets on Manhattan before heading to MetLife Stadium. The crowd of 80,102 on a night with an 82-degree temperature and 82% humidity was overwhelmingly pro-Argentina, with only a few sections dominated by red-clad Canadian supporters.

It was among the biggest games for Canadian soccer, which went 0-6 in its only World Cup appearances in 1986 and 2022 and won its only major title at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Argentina had beaten Canada 2-0 in the tournament opener on June 20.

“The tournament caught up with us a little bit,” Canada coach Jesse Marsch said. “There’s been heat, there’s been travel, there’s been a lot of challenges. ... We’re still at the beginnings of our process, right? Argentina’s maybe had eight years together, seven years together with this team, and so we need to develop more players that can contribute so that we can also rotate in tournament play, because eventually the physicality and the fatigue can catch up with you.”

Canada star Alphonso Davies limped off in the 71st minute after his right leg was caught in a clean challenge with Gonzalo Montiel.

"He’s getting an X-ray, so we’re hopeful he’s OK, but we’re not sure," Marsch said.

Canada had two shots on target: Jonathan David was thwarted by Emiliano Martínez from close range in first-half stoppage time, and Martínez made a kick save on Tani Oluwaseyi in the 89th.

“We started getting sloppy. We started getting away from the game plan,” said defender Derek Cornelius, who exchanged jerseys with Messi.

While Messi referred to “last battles,” Scaloni and fans hold out hope Argentina and Messi will return to MetLife for the 2026 World Cup final.

“We will never be the ones to close the door,” Scaloni said. “He can be with our team for as long as he wants to be.”
