Nikos Papas will walk you through his jungle of Rhodes tour territory in Archangelos, Rhodes. There he will entertain you with lots of surprises. You will see plants, fruit trees and the benefit of natures natural habitat.

You will enjoy with him local flora, wild birds, butterflies, turtles and little fish. Trek through undergrowth, streams and tropical terrain with beautiful scenery.

Your children are very welcome on this special day! This crazy and sweet Greek man will talk to you in his best English. He speaks a bit of German and Italian too.

The whole day is one big surprise and is presented with love. There is plenty of time to rest. The whole day will take about 5 hours (2.5 km).

In the beautiful eco-bamboo are small shaded seating areas near the water, some even partly in the water! What about a short nap in one of the hammocks? You will have free use of two canoe’s.

Then there is time to eat your sandwich or fruit that you brought along. Nikos will offer you orange juice and fruit of the season. After your lunch you can float in the small mountain lake; healthy and refreshing! A dream comes true.

Halfway through the day you can refill your small bottle of water with fresh spring water.

On the day of your Jungle of Rhodes Tour, you will arrive at the meeting point by car, motorcycle, taxi, scooter or by Impress mini bus (shared transfer).

Nikos Papas is happy to welcome you in his paradise, the Jungle of Rhodes.

His ‘Jungle’ is located near the traditional village of Archangelos.

The whole day is one big surprise and presented with love & laughter. Nikos Papas will lead you by feet to the heart of the Jungle, located deep in the green and accessible only by feet, along a narrow path. In the beautiful eco-bamboo are small shaded seating areas near the water, some even partly IN (!) the water! What about a short nap in one of the hammocks?

Then there is time to eat your sandwich or fruit that you brought along. After your lunch you can float in the small mountain lake; healthy and refreshing! A dream comes true. There is free use of the two canoe’s in the small mountain lake.  Depending on the season you might see the famous orange butterflies. You will also meet & feed Nikos’ friend… the turtle!

Important Information

Approximate duration: 5+ hours Total walking:  2-3 km.

Bring shoes which can get wet (bath- or surf shoes or sandals) as you are going to walk for about 200 meters through a small stream of knee-high natural spring water.

Wear: walking shoes or trainers, short pants/skirt, T-shirt, swim wear

Bring: shoes which can get wet (water shoes/surf shoes), one small bottle of water p.p. and for lunch a sandwich or fruit or similar

Description See a little bit of Rhodes which most tourists don't get to see -A magical valley with fresh, cool streams under a canopy of trees and bamboo. A cool day to rival the steamy days on the beach! Your "Jungle Man", Nikos Papas, welcomes you on his own terrain and he will lead you over a gentle trek through streams and shallow ponds. You will see flora, fauna, local customs, etc. The highlight of the day is reaching "Nikos Papas” hart of the Jungle; a lovely mountain lake with cosy sittings partly set in the stream. There you can lay in a hammock in the shade or the sun. Enough time time to swim or eat your brought along sandwich or fruit. All chilled to perfection in and near the cool water! If you look hard in the mini lake there you might see one or two small turtle. Nikos Papas certainly will.... no details... that would spoil the surprise! Bring some water shoes for 200 mtrs walking through knee high water. The Jungle fee of 34 euro is paid directly to your jungle man.

Booked holiday to Rhodes and now you want to see something natural. Then create your choice of unique day. You can book Rhodes unique day through the travel of your tour operator or via a local tour agency. Basically you get in both cases the same amount of 'value for money'

Unforgettable day

During this unforgettable day you walk in total not more than 2 km. A few meters of it goes through the water depending of there is water. Then you reach a waterfall (If there was rain in the winter) where the water falls down loud.

Kamiros was one of the three oldest Dorian cities Kamiros is situated on a hill, on the west coast, about 25 kilometers from Rhodes town. The city was destroyed by an earthquake in 142 BC and in 1929 by the Italians dug up again

In ancient times there was a garden around this building. During the Christian period, the building became a small church in honor of Saint Aimilianos. The current city was built on the same place as the city of Antiquity. Archaeological finds prove that people have already lived here in the Stone Age. Finds of objects in the ancient tombs confirm the presence of the Mycenaeans during the period 15th century BC. and further. We may assume that Lindos was a trading center during the Mycenaean period, even though this city was of significantly less importance than Kamiros and lalyssos.

The archaeological excavations at Kámiros (Kameiros) are remnants of the once mighty city from the Hellenistic period. In the year 226 BC the city was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake, after which the city was rebuilt. The remains are of this second version of Kámiros, which was again almost completely razed to the ground in 142 AD.
