How many heroic emblems does a world tour give?

if you do a daily world tour how many emblems are you sitting with? was thinking id would be faster to do heroics than farming honor for PVP gear + you get pve gear

It awards 55 emblems

Have a DK use Chains of Ice on all of them and or a Warrior Piercing Howl them. Either works great. Once he summons 4 of them drag him back into his room and burn him down.

The easiest way to do this achievement is to have everyone run to the center of the tunnel (Where the earth elemental is). Stack up there and kill all the mobs you pulled getting there. After you've killed all of them, rest up and continue through the tunnel.

What are the WoW Classic WotLK Heroic Dungeon requirements?

Get up to snuff before entering Heroic Dungeons

WoW Classic WotLK Dungeon

Published: Oct 10, 2022, 8:17 pm Updated: Oct 10, 2022, 9:40 pm

Like Burning Crusade before it, World of Warcraft: Classic's latest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King , comes with new dungeons, each with two difficulties, Normal and Heroic.

At first, players can traverse through the dungeons on Normal difficulty, whereupon mobs, trash, and the dungeon as a whole are not as difficult to take on, even being able to enter some of them at non-max levels. However, Heroic Dungeons, on the other hand, are a bit different as not only are they max-level exclusives but are also harder overall. Higher health pools, more damage, and new abilities all make dungeons more difficult to complete.

Because of this, Blizzard locks Heroic Dungeons behind some requirements in order to enter them. Here's what they are

There are no requirements for entering Heroic Dungeons in WoW Classic WotLK apart from being max-level. However, prior to entering a Heroic Dungeon, there are a few things you should do in order to make the runs go smoothly.

Utgarde Keep Dungeon WoW Classic WotLK

First, you have to make sure you're max level, in this case, level 80. Once you reach max level you unlock all of the Heroic difficulty for all of the dungeons. From then on, you'll want to grind gear in order to not just be able to complete the dungeons in a timely and efficient manner but also to meet the item level and gearscore requirements.

Item level is the universal metric that the game uses to dictate whether you have the appropriate amount of gear or not for any given dungeon or raid. It takes the average level of all of your equipped items and gives you a number. Gearscore, on the other hand, is similar to item level but instead of it being an in-game feature, it's a player-made system that puts number values to each piece of gear and adds them up.

When it comes to entering Heroic Dungeons in WoW Classic WotLK, you'll want an item level of about 180 and a gearscore of about 3,500.

How Titan Rune dungeons work in Wrath of the Lich King Classic

You can get raid loot from these Heroic Plus dungeons.

Wrath Classic leveling guide

The second phase of World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King Classic arrives on January 17 and sees the (re)introduction of the Ulduar raid and the Argent Tournament, as well as bringing the new addition of Titan Rune dungeons to the popular expansion.

These "Heroic Plus" style dungeons offer a new way to earn loot and virtually eliminate the need to constantly run multiple versions of raids in the hope of getting a specific piece of gear to drop. So, if you're ready to learn more about Titan Rune dungeons in WotLK Classic, here's what you need to know.

What are Titan Rune dungeons?

WotLK Titan Rune dungeons

Titan Rune dungeons are a new difficulty that is available for each of the existing Wrath of the Lich King heroic dungeons. Inside the entrance of each instance when set to heroic difficulty, you'll find an aptly named Mysterious Device , and you'll need to interact with this to enable the Titan Rune mode.

Once activated, an Empowered Rune will take effect, which will buff the health and damage dealt by both trash and bosses, along with an additional debuff, depending on the dungeon you are in. This should significantly increase the challenge of familiar dungeons while rewarding a wider range of loot for completing them.

The runes and their effects are listed below:

Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle

Empowered: Frost Rune Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 100%. Melee attacks have a chance to Glaciate a random nearby target.

Empowered: Shadow Rune Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 100%. Attacks have a chance to Web Wrap a victim.

Drak'Tharon Keep and Gundrak

Empowered: Blood Rune Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 100%. 100% Lifesteal when standing in Blood of the Loa.

WotLK Titan Rune dungeons

Halls of Stone and Halls of Lightning

Empowered: Titan Rune Damage increased by 5%. Health increased by 190%. Pulsing Saronite-Corrupted Titan energy that increases enemy damage done by 1% and damage taken by 2% per stack for 12 sec.

The Nexus , The Oculus , and The Violet Hold

Empowered: Arcane Rune Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 100%. Attacks have a chance to summon Mirror Images.

The Culling of Stratholme

Empowered: Plague Rune Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 100% Damaging attacks can infect victims with Zombie Plague.

Titan Rune dungeon loot tables

As well as bosses dropping Emblem of Valor as they do on regular heroic difficulty, three Emblem of Conquest will also be rewarded for the final boss, though it seems only one player can win these per run.

As far as gear drops go, the final boss from any of the Titan Rune dungeons will have the Naxxramas 10-man and Sartharion (Obsidian Sanctum) raid loot tables added, meaning 200 item level gear will drop on top of the existing Heroic loot. All other bosses will have drops from Kel'Thuzad, Sartharion, and Malygos at 213 item level .

Heroic Tank min Req

Hey guys. So I tanked way way back in TBC and WotLK vanilla. But I’m old now and totally forget everything.

To tank heroics 500 defense ok to start? Or do you need for sure 540 to even attempt them?

AoE tanking is using SoC and single target is SoV?

I tanked every heroic on my first day at level 80, I was in in Sunwell gear but I’ve had tanks worse geared than that. Heroics are an absolute joke and you can tank them easily in any reasonable gear set.

It’s not about how geared the tank is.

It’a about how good your healer is.

If you are wearing gear you are ready to tank heroics.

Yeah pretty much.

Think I started heroics on my prot pal around 16k hp and 480 defense.

I’m now at 24k hp and 510 defense after a few days of heroics + some pvp gear.

I wouldn’t recommend doing huge pulls until you get better gear but the only “wipes” I’ve seen are mainly because healer wasn’t paying attention or went afk mid pull.

to start with the defense cap for heroics is lower than for raids, if you have 535 defense you will be uncritable in heroic dungeons.

as for whether you can tank heroics with 500 defense… probably, but it depends on other factors, the less geared you are the more geared your healer should be, and of course you need enough health to survive a critical hit should one happen. I would say if you’re spec’d into ardent defender and have more than 25k hp and an average healer you should be ok

You’ll be fine. Heroics are a super easy and your a prot paly. Ezzzz clap

Thank you for the help

Yeah but we don’t enjoy chain spamming almost going oom to keep an undergeared tank up who thinks he can pull the entire room.

There are a ton of trashcan tanks. Being undergeared is fine if you know the dungeon. Too many times these fresh retail tanks pull entire rooms and then cry when they die and leave.

You need 535 defensive to not get critically hit by heroic dungeon bosses. Whether that’s a requirement for you and your groups depends on how much effective health you have and your healers.

As a DK, I started tanking heroics after I had 535 def, but if you’re a block tank it might not be as important. If you find you’re getting 1 shot from boss crits though, you’ll want to work on that.

I tanked heroics in green gear with 0 defense as arms revenge spec. You’ll be fine. I think I had like 14k HP and no one died a single time in a world tour

tanked heroics with less than 500 def and less than 24k hp. just go 1 group at a time instead of 3

You basically just need a pulse to tank heroics, questing gear will do you just fine.

For speed heroics I like using Seal of Command, with the Seal of Command Glyph, Glyph of Spiritual Attunement, and Glyph of Hammer of the Righteous and never have to worry about mana or keeping 100% uptime on plea.

But as the colony increases, the public concerns will increase likewise, and the distance at which the members may be separated, will render it too inconvenient for all of them to meet on every occasion as at first, when their number was small, their habitations near, and the public concerns few and trifling. This will point out the convenience of their consenting to leave the legislative part to be managed by a select number chosen from the whole body, who are supposed to have the same concerns at stake which those have who appointed them, and who will act in the same manner as the whole body would act were they present. If the colony continue increasing, it will become necessary to augment the number of the representatives, and that the interest of every part of the colony may be attended to, it will be found best to divide the whole into convenient parts, each part sending its proper number; and that the elected might never form to themselves an interest separate from the electors, prudence will point out the propriety of having elections often; because as the elected might by that means return and mix again with the general body of the electors in a few months, their fidelity to the public will be secured by the prudent reflection of not making a rod for themselves. And as this frequent interchange will establish a common interest with every part of the community, they will mutually and naturally support each other, and on this (not on the unmeaning name of king) depends the strength of government, and the happiness of the governed.

for mob 82 you need 535 def to be immune to crit. But you definitely don’t need that to tank WOTLK heroics as they are all jokes. I tanked them on my pally tank literally 20 minutes after I hit 80. I was in 70 Brutal gear and a few tanking gear from 70-80 dungeons. I had probably 4% crit reduction from from resil + def.

The only thing gear does for your for heroic is to let you pull more and do more damage.

SoC for AOE and SoV for single target.

The entrance is on the left side of the Ulduar Complex, this dungeon does not have a specific way to its approach, you can start with either of the first three bosses, but you will need to complete the Tribunal of Ages encounter in order to reclaim some of the lost knowledge and have access to the Ironshapper.

Throughout the dungeon you will fight waves of the maker’s corrupted creations and the corrupted earth elementals, the Maiden of Grief presents a fairly simple static fight while  Krystallus might pose a threat to even the most battle-hardened veterans.

After helping Brann uncover the secrets behind the Tribunal, Sjonnir will pose a challenging fight to our adventures, the fight itself seems pretty simple on its own but you must not underestimate the amount of damage that this iron-vrykul can inflict upon you and your teammates.

Upon the entrance in the Halls of Lightning, the players have to deal with General Bjarngrim in order to open the way, after defeating the general the adventurers have to tread carefully through the halls filled with dangerous elementals in order to reach the Giant Smith, Volkhan, after bringing the giant’s downfall along  with Ionar, the way to Loken is ready to be pursued.

My favorite is the Nexus, followed closely by Forge of Souls. I can’t wait for Wrath Classic.

Ksko

You forgot to mention the Heroic loot on all of the dungeons above…

Foux

The dungeon system below Wrath is broken. It’s almost impossible to get to do a dungeon unless you have a friend with a high level who can carry you through the whole thing. It’s pretty disappointing. I’ve waited for over an hour to get a group to do a low level dungeon, just to have it fall apart because the waiting is so long.

wow wotlk heroic world tour

World of Warcraft heads into its next expansion, The War Within , due Aug. 22, in the best state it’s been in years — for the simple reason that the developers at Blizzard seem to be having fun with it, using older versions of the game to try out surprising and experimental new ideas. The updates have come thick and fast , and they’ve been creative and unexpected. The predictable rhythms of an online game that is fast approaching its 20th anniversary have been pleasantly disrupted. It’s fragmented, with its players scattered across several different versions of the game, each with its own pocket community. But it’s a much more vibrant one.

Most of this positive change has happened within the last 18 months or so. And there can be no doubt about the source of the creative energy and good vibes : World of Warcraft Classic . This version of WoW emulates the way the game was at launch in 2004, takes players on a tour through classic expansions, and more. It sits alongside modern WoW under the same subscription fee but has its own distinct community (itself divided into a series of pocket communities) and its own team of developers. Those developers have been taking some wild risks with their ancient charge, much to players’ delight. And now their infectious spirit of experimentation seems to have caught on with the rest of the WoW staff.

What World of Warcraft as a whole seems to be learning from WoW Classic is that MMOs don’t have to be monolithic, contiguous experiences at all — and when they reach WoW ’s ripe age, perhaps it’s better if they’re not. They can be broken up, scrambled, reassembled, and rebooted within themselves. They can offer a tasting menu of different experiences rather than one giant banquet of content. They can lean into nostalgia but also use looking backward to look forward, experimenting with the MMO form itself.

Nearly 20 years in, WoW and its players are deep into uncharted territory. Other online games have been in operation for longer — EverQuest , WoW ’s chief influence, celebrated a quarter century in 2024 — but it’s hard to think of any examples that have stayed at or near the top of their chosen genre for so long. WoW ’s advancing age presents a lot of interesting challenges for Blizzard: How does a game that operates continuously for decades relate to its own history? How does it respond to outside trends? How does it refresh itself in ways other than just adding more content? How does it stop familiarity from tipping into boredom?

A talk at the Game Developers Conference in March given by John Hight — who was general manager of the Warcraft franchise at Blizzard until very recently — showed, with surprising candor, the extent to which WoW was stagnating and losing players because Blizzard was struggling to answer some of these questions. During the talk (reported by Korean site Inven and summarized by Wowhead ), Hight showed a graph of WoW subscriber numbers over the past eight years that charted steep drops between the biennial expansions and spikes of dwindling size when the expansions launched.

The first sign of real trouble was subscribers falling to an all-time low after the release of the unpopular Battle for Azeroth expansion in 2018. This was quickly masked the following year when World of Warcraft Classic drove a huge spike in popularity which was sustained by the pandemic gaming boom in 2020. When the eighth expansion, Shadowlands , came out at the end of 2020, all initially seemed well. But soon after, Blizzard reported seeing “historically high churn” (the rate at which subscribers leave) that wasn’t effectively countered by the release of two Classic expansions. Then, disaster: The launch numbers for 2022’s well-received expansion, Dragonflight , were low even by pre- Classic standards. WoW was in decline, and if you took Classic out of the picture, it was in serious trouble.

Hight pointed the finger of blame at the Shadowlands expansion. Blizzard has come to agree with fans that Shadowlands ’ setting in the disconnected realms of the afterlife was alienating, that its story didn’t do right by certain characters, that its “borrowed-power” mechanics weren’t very memorable, and that the gaps between updates were too long.

But Hight’s final graph slide showed an astonishing turnaround. When he was speaking in March 2024, World of Warcraft subscriber numbers were higher than they had been at Dragonflight ’s launch, and climbing. Hight boasted “record post-launch stability and growth.” What went right? In the modern game, as YouTuber Bellular pointed out, Blizzard knuckled down and worked on the basics, providing a steady stream of updates and a popular revamp of gear progression. But it was Classic updates, starting in August 2023, that prompted Hight’s graph to start trending upward. It was Classic that presented two daring new ways to play the game that broke up the time-honored expansion-to-expansion schedule, and even contained new ways to structure a massively multiplayer online game.

A graph of World of Warcraft subscriber numbers, showing major improvement after the release of WoW Classic Hardcore and Season of Discovery, annotated “We re-established the relationship with our players”

First came Hardcore: a simple but riveting permadeath mode that started as an unofficial community challenge and was quickly co-opted by Blizzard into an official variant of Classic server. Permadeath in a glacially slow-paced MMO like classic WoW should not work under any circumstances, but it does; it injects both risk and a sense of community spirit into an aging game’s time-worn rhythms, making them feel new again.

The WoW Classic team followed Hardcore just a few months later, in late 2023, with Season of Discovery , a new server variant that messed with the venerable game even more radically. Like Hardcore, it took its inspiration from stablemate Diablo , which regularly reboots itself with game-altering seasons that invite players to roll new characters and start again. Season of Discovery seeded Classic ’s familiar world with new secrets, added collectible powers that opened up new possibilities within WoW ’s class design, and, most innovatively of all, broke progression through the game into phases, with temporary level caps and remixed mini endgames. It was still the same old game but rearranged and restructured.

With Hardcore and Season of Discovery, the Classic team made two bold choices. First, they decided that WoW’s design wasn’t sacrosanct, and they could mess about with its core ruleset if they wanted to. Secondly — and perhaps most significantly — they decided not to care about audience fragmentation. There are currently no less than five ways to play WoW Classic : the original game, the Cataclysm expansion, Season of Discovery, and two Hardcore variants. But the simplicity of WoW ’s payment model — one subscription fee covers everything, except the latest expansion for the modern game — means it doesn’t really matter. As long as you’re engaged and playing, it’s all good as far as Blizzard is concerned.

As 2023 rolled into 2024, it didn’t take long for the modern WoW team to learn from Classic developers’ example. As it neared the end of Dragonflight ’s brisk update schedule, Blizzard started to drop surprise, one-off experiments on its audience. First was Plunderstorm, a pirate-themed, time-limited, and entirely self-contained battle royale mode with separate character progression. It wasn’t very refined, but it showed a willingness to experiment and to offer players new diversions outside of the main sandbox.

What came next went much further. As a kind of palate cleanser between the end of the Dragonflight saga and the arrival of The War Within , Blizzard offered something clearly inspired by Season of Discovery: Mists of Pandaria Remix . Players were invited to create new “Timewalker” characters and replay an altered version WoW ’s fourth expansion with new features, new abilities, accelerated leveling, and infinitely scaling loot that allowed them to drive themselves up an exponential curve of power. A monthslong event ending just before the release of the new expansion, Mists of Pandaria Remix has been a wild ride. As a different way to revisit a past expansion and a kind of power-leveling fantasy, it’s been a lot of fun, if arguably a less sophisticated and thorough reimagining than Season of Discovery. Still, it’s done the job, driving conversation and keeping players engaged at a time when the game would otherwise be slowing down, as players sat out the long gap between Dragonflight ’s last update and The War Within ’s launch.

An orc warlock casts a spell in a dungeon in World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery

Right now, World of Warcraft is buzzing. That’s normal: the pre-expansion patch for The War Within has already hit the game, bringing refreshing changes with it, as these updates usually do. It’s a particularly nostalgia-inducing patch for long-term players like me — Blizzard knows it’s just as important to serve those who’ve been in it for the long haul as it is to keep the game streamlined and accessible for newbies. It’s always fun to come back to the game and see what’s changed.

What’s different this time around is that this has been a regular feeling for WoW players for the past year at least — especially those who dabble in both Classic and the modern game. It’s not just that there have been plentiful updates, although there have. It’s the sense of renovation, of experiment, and of plain old fun that’s been threaded through so many of them. At the point in its life when you’d expect it to slow down, WoW is speeding up; when you’d expect it to consolidate, it’s splintering into multiple new possibilities. Even more remarkably, it’s the culture around Classic , which you would expect to be so staid and backward-looking, that has driven this change. The spirit of adventure hasn’t left the old girl yet.

Can't believe they seriously are not adding weapon arsenals. I guess we'll have to wait until they show up in the trading post for 300 tendies each.

The lack of weapon ensembles feels awful. Also, pretty contrary to the overall spirit of the event- having insanely low drop rate cosmetic rewards that are time-limited and otherwise unavailable. I hope they don't repeat this mistake, or add the appearances into the game some other way.

Just why do you hate everything so?

Such an inspiring take on the situation.../eyeroll The problem is that many of the hardest ones are gated behind rng across multiple raids, requiring possibly thousands of runs for some unlucky people...so while yes, you can theoretically earn it if you have enough time, it is making it near impossible for some unlucky people who simply don't have many hours a day to play.

Whining just to whine is the definition of your fin question. You could have had them by now but no doubt you've likely just been writing "arsenals when" while offline refusing to just go farm it.

Comment by Yadua

Yeah earn them, while hoping for rng. People are stupid as $%^ these days. IT'S ALL DEPENDANT ON RNG. All of you who says 'go earn them ' are probably the lucky ones. I played almost 2 months straight and gave up because i was still missing like half (or a bit less) of the weapon mogs while amassing almost 1.5 million bronze across few characters, and i have nothing to spend on it. I still had some other stuff to do in retail, which a lot of ppl seem to forget. It's optional event outside retail. Event also lasted during tww pre-patch, start of cataclysm classic. Diablo 4 - 4/5 season. Thus not adding weapon arsenal (and pet vendor) was really stupid, even more so since they added mounts that drop from raid bosses and world bosses. Worst thing is that blizz never adressed the fact, neither they said that they won't add nor they will. Pretty weird and strange to be honest.

Comment by Turowai

I am genuinely surprised they haven't added arsenals in by now... such an easy W for a problem that should never have existed to begin with. To those who keep telling people not to 'whine' and 'go earn it' ... yeah... no... stop being asinine. I've been doing daily full LFR + full World tour (either full normal on all 5raids, plus hc+mythic SoO, or full heroic on all5 +normal+mythic SoO) runs with at least 2 characters (out of 12 created)... for most of the event... even leading all those runs and actively encouraging people to help trade the weapons they don't need to others who wanted them for their collections... I personally have only just FINALLY collected the last mythic weapon yesterday, and the last normal+heroic ones from SoO last week... I still have most of the LFR ones to get cuz they just don't drop (and even when they do for someone else, they can't be traded, cuz reasons?). Most of the time I do a full LFR run and get maybe 1 or 2 weapon drops, and usually I already have them. It's really quite demoralising... and frankly I have had better things to do than yet another run of the same 5 raids on every difficulty going, DAILY. (but I still did them...) I just want to finish the event, having done everything humanly possible to get all the stuff, with the full 100% collected... spend some of the 1.5mil bronze that I have nothing more to spend on (on getting the last few weapons from a vendor), and be done with it... then I could maybe go enjoy some prepatch event stuff instead for a bit... SO BLIZZARD... PLEASE... for the love of the light... just put the arsenals up before the end so those of us who have just been flat out unlucky (NOT LAZY or not bothering...)... and can finish off the collections at last >.<

Comment by Deathcam

they should of just added remix arsenal weapons to remix chars mailbox after they transfer to retail. before ppl go and say "just farm it yourself". you most likely dont even care so why bother respond to ppl who complain they have to do potentially thousands of lfr runs for an insanely low chance of a FOMO item THAT CANT BE TRADED since its a green item quality drop on LFR. this is a FOMO event it shouldnt have this much RNG especially when it seems this event will potentially only happen once in this 3 month gap its been.

I just want to finish the event, having done everything humanly possible to get all the stuff, with the full 100% collected... spend some of the 1.5mil bronze that I have nothing more to spend on (on getting the last few weapons from a vendor), and be done with it... then I could maybe go enjoy some prepatch event stuff instead for a bit... SO BLIZZARD... PLEASE... for the love of the light... just put the arsenals up before the end so those of us who have just been flat out unlucky (NOT LAZY or not bothering...)... and can finish off the collections at last >.< Genuine advice, not being rude, I promise. Level a warrior to 25 and spam queue the LFRs queuing as tank, then change your loot spec to Fury. They can obtain almost all of the LFR weapons, and LFR isn't on a daily lockout. Spam queue it for a few hours and you'll hit 70 and more than likely get a few of the weapons you didn't have. Plus, almost every weapon type but wands can be traded to warriors if the items dropped are blue quality.

played remix for about 180 hours, and I'd say over half of that was farming weapon drops. I do have about 7 (yeah, truly, only 7 out of everything) I haven't gotten, so it'd be a mixed bag, potentially, at this point if they added arsenals. Yeah, I could get my last 7, but also, I would have played about 80-90 hours less remix if I knew that was an option edit: And, everything I actually cared about I just targeted it until I got it, so I'm actually not missing a single thing I was prioritizing. I doubt everyone farmed smartly. The client data this site collects was actually spot on for who dropped what for most of the items for me. I know some items in trove tally just say "Karasang wilds" but there is actually smarter places to farm (even auto-farms). All that being said, "Pandaren Book" was insane. The only one that gave me doubts, even AFK farming multiple days.

Hopefully these new types of events become a yearly thing.

Can't believe they seriously are not adding weapon arsenals. I guess we'll have to wait until they show up in the trading post for 300 tendies each. Just go out and earn them ffs, like everyone else. Sitting on comment threads crying when you could have unlocked them all by now if you had spent your time playing instead of complaining, absolute weirdo. Earn? So everything else could be attained easily but the green recolors had to be "earned" by mindless endless grinding on multiple classes and potentially never get it in an event which was supposed to be easy, quick and fun? Just why do you hate everything so? Yes. Go earn them. Stop whining like a baby that they aren't on a vendor and go do the content and earn them. Whining just to whine is the definition of your fin question. You could have had them by now but no doubt you've likely just been writing "arsenals when" while offline refusing to just go farm it. everyone laugh at the jobless man crying about crying bc he wasted his time on nonsense that shouldve worked better for a compnay that will never even no he breaths. people like you are the types to hard cap at 4/9H

Plus, almost every weapon type but wands can be traded to warriors if the items dropped are blue quality. Wield-able weapon types aren't relevant for trading. Any class can learn any appearance since warbands were implemented.

Drak'Tharon Keep, Gundrak. Violet Hold. Culling of Stratholme. With a good group you can probably clear most dungeons in 20-25 minutes. Azjol'Nerub and Occulus in 15-20. For some dungeons like Violet Hold, Halls of Stone, and Culling of Stratholme, 30 minutes is more accurate. I would say 2 dungeons per hour is a good goal for the first month.
