Our tiki boats are a thatch-covered floating tiki boat with bar and bench seating. Our vessels are perfect for your next trip out on the water. Just book your tickets, get your group, climb aboard and drift away with us!

When you book a tour with us, you will be chartered around the water for 75 minutes on a tour. Enjoy a ride around the water while you sip on your favorite drink and listen to your favorite music!

From start to finish it was great. Our captain and his lovely first mate were so accommodating and sweet...and fun! We will be back soon!

It started with a concept we loved...

Floating tiki boats have taken over several lakes and waterways in recent years! Early on, our team was always very interested in getting 'on board' with the concept, and so we did. Most people in water towns and cities are familiar with the 'party on the water' and the adventure it brings visiting patrons. One of our owners decide to have a tiki made for personal enjoyment. He soon realized the roar and attention this was getting all over the lake. Knowing people were eager to experience this new style of boat chartering, the business was born.

Then, we started moving...

Our flagship location is on Lake George in upstate New York. Our first boats were six passenger octagon boats. Seeing immediate success our first season on the water, we were quickly on our way to building another boat to accomodate the stampede of people looking to get a tour. Within a couple seasons, we decided to design and build a larger tiki boat, one that can hold 12-14 people instead of hosting a tour for just 6. This was quite a game-changer for our business! It allowed us to attract all styles and sizes of gatherings.

And here we are now...

We have learned that by doubling the capacity of patrons we can invite on for a tour, our business has seen quite an up-kick in versatility. Bachelor/bachelorette events, birthday parties, corporate affairs, and so many more groups of people are looking to get away, get out on the water and have a great time! Oswego, N.Y. — Mayor Billy Barlow came up with the idea of a Tiki Boat Tour for visitors & residents of Oswego. With all the waterfront improvements bettering Oswego, Mayor Barlow says it seemed natural to get people out on the water itself.

The boat tour is available for two hours from 7-9pm with a maximum of six guests (above age 18). Riding along this boat tour gives patrons the amazing opportunity to experience up close what is Oswego's famous sunsets and makes Oswego even more unique. People that book this experience are encouraged to bring their own food/drinks, and yes, alcohol is allowed for guests 21 & older.

Oswego, N.Y. — The elevator ride to the top of the Litatro Building in downtown Oswego lasts all of 45 seconds, 58 seconds if you have a stop along the way. Whatever, you’re going to learn a lot on the way up.

The hostess of The Rooftop Lounge is going to prime you on the evening’s dinner specials. She may offer a drink suggestion. And you’ll find out who’s playing the piano at the bar tonight.

When you step out of the lift, you’ll be reminded that this isn’t the Oswego you grew up with. It’s no longer just a college town with forgotten buildings. This cleaned-up lakeside city is full of restaurants offering outside dining. You can take a tiki bar tour along the water. You can enjoy an outdoor symphony concert and bring your cocktails from downtown bars with you.

“This restaurant is one of the best-kept secrets in all of Central New York,” said Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow said during a recent lunch overlooking Lake Ontario. “It’s high-end food at low-end prices. And it’s healthy food that I won’t regret eating afterward.”

The Rooftop Lounge crowns the Litatro Building on West First Street. An art gallery and the Southern Fare Bar & Cookhouse occupy the first floor, and 20 luxury apartments are sandwiched between. The building came back to life in 2020 as part of Oswego’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative, a $10 million grant from the state.

This fifth-floor restaurant opened in November 2021. It has an intimate inside dining room and bar that seats 60; the two outdoor terraces accommodate a total of 40 customers. The patios have chairs, tables and sofas next to a propane-powered fire table. You can even reserve the “social sofa.”

Atom Avery, the building’s owner, envisioned a restaurant overlooking the Port City that serves craft cocktails and small plates that often change to match the weather surrounding the space. The Rooftop just introduced its fall menu, with drinks including Sweater Weather, Clove Is In the Air, and Autumn Equinox.

“It’s not just special here in the summer and fall,” said Anita Avery Shiel, Atom’s sister who’s a partner and general manager at the restaurant. “The view here in the winter is special too. It’s like the inside of a snow globe.”

The menu is created by four chefs. They serve charcuterie boards, salads, flatbreads and tapas. It’s all food meant to be shared. For example, the truffle fries ($8) are popular among groups. It’s a plate of crispy French fries tossed in a white truffle oil with a side of housemade garlic aioli and ketchup.

Atom calls the kitchen here “fire-ready,” meaning your food shows up at your table in the order that it’s done.

“You don’t wait for your food here. You may get your steak before your salad,” he said. “You talk about it, you sample it, and you may order more of what you like. That’s why it’s a lounge.”

The staff, though, puts as much effort in the food and drink quality as it does in the presentation.

The Duck Dumplings ($12) are hand-pressed dumplings made of cream cheese, corn and duck bacon. When they come out of the fryer, they will rest on a few dribbles of Mike’s Hot Honey with scallions on top.

“We delayed the opening two weeks just because I was looking for just the right glassware,” Atom said. “Everything needs to be perfect.

You must try ...

Cocktails ($10-$12): The drinks here have a high-end taste, but they also have the look and personality. They’re drop-dead gorgeous. During my visits here, I developed a close relationship with one of the cocktails on the summer menu. Sadly, it didn’t make the newly released fall drink list.

The Spicy Cucumber Mezcal is hibernating for now, but it’s worth mentioning just in case you can talk one of the bartenders into going rogue. This starts with a lime wedge, two cucumber and two jalapeño pepper slices, muddled. The smashed fruit and vegetables then welcome two ounces of mezcal, some silver tequila, an ounce of flora liqueur and simple syrup.

After a few good shakes, it’s poured over a fine mesh strainer into a glass rimmed with black lava salt. The dark sodium does a good job cutting the pepper’s spice just enough to enjoy the agave liquor.

Since opening last year, the bartenders have mixed 3,900 espresso martinis, making it the most popular drink by far. The staff is methodical about putting this one together, but they’re efficient in the process.

As vanilla vodka, Kahlua, Irish cream and just-brewed espresso cool in a tumbler with ice, the bartender stripes the inside of a chilled martini glass with chocolate syrup. Several shakes in a stainless steel tumbler creates a light brown froth when it’s finally poured into the triangular glass. Three espresso beans finishes the drink.

This vodka will relax you for a bit, but the espresso and the beans will liven you up through the ride home.

If these drinks are too complicated for your palate, you can also choose from 120 different whiskeys, 32 beers or 108 wines.

Ahi Tuna ($15): Cassie Baldwin was our server on a recent Friday night. She was quick with suggestions, and if you really wanted to know, she would detail how everything is prepared. This is among her favorite small plates. It’s 4 ounces of sesame-crusted ahi tuna served over thin stripes of wasabi cremé with soy sauce pearls, pickled ginger and a side of teriyaki glaze.

She warned, though, that the housemade wasabi sauce packed a slight punch. “They’re going to say hello,” she said as she delivered the plate.

No, that first bite was not just a welcome peck on the cheek. It was more like a “Hey! How YOU doin’?!” wake-up call to my sinuses. And I loved it. It was fresh, and it complimented the seafood beautifully. I asked for two extra dollops of the green Japanese horseradish.

Cassie, reminding us that dishes are served in the order they’re done, predicted this dish would arrive first. That’s exactly what happened. Because the meaty tuna spent seconds over a flame, the inside was still cool and the fatty outside packed with sesame seeds accentuated the rich flavor.

It primed the table for the red meat that arrived next.

Filet Crostinis ($12): It’s four toasted baguette crostinis topped with ricotta cheese, caramelized onions, a thick medium-rare slice of filet mignon with a healthy slather of horseradish drizzle.

The horsey sauce packed a slight whack, but it was nothing compared to the wasabi.

Turtle Ice Cream Cake ($12): The desserts served at The Rooftop Lounge are made in the neighborhood and plated here. The cheesecakes and layer cakes come from next door at Chelle’s Bakeshop . The ice cream cakes are put together at Man in the Moon Candies .

Cassie recommended either the Turtle Ice Cream Cake or the Peanut Butter Explosion Cake, so we got both. Both are ultrasweet works of culinary art. Both are similar, but the Turtle took this race. The foundation here is a pecan cone crust, not your predictable crushed graham crackers. It’s filled with white chocolate, fudge, chocolate custard, dulce de leche (caramelized milk) and vanilla custard.

Both went well with a snifter of Sandeman Tawny Port ($15), another recommendation from Cassie.

As the sun set on a Friday in August, a group celebrating a birthday remarked how their destination was just a 40-minute drive from Syracuse. It’s so easy for us to stay in the city or suburbs for a routine date night, they said. And it’s been so easy all this time to forget Oswego.

“The drive here is the same as the drive to Turning Stone,” Anita said. “We could be the next Toronto.”
