When it comes to dining, there are five restaurants serving dishes from around the world, several featuring open kitchens or stations where you can watch master chefs at work.

Le Bazar The bistro-style main restaurant is the venue both for breakfast and for dinner with a global flavour. There are also a number of open kitchens where you can watch the chefs create mouthwatering creations.

Kushi The resort’s sophisticated Japanese restaurant, open for dinner, offers authentic dishes, from sushi prepared by a master to a traditional Omakase set menu that changes every day.

The secluded Chi spa offers holistic therapies influenced by traditional techniques and ingredients from across Asia. Nowhere is this more in evidence than in the blissful signature massage, where Thai pressure points meet Chinese philosophies on energy flow and classic Balinese strokes. The rest of the treatment menu is just as intriguing, with everything from Mother and Daughter mani-pedis to the latest hi-tech aesthetic treatments.

Practice yoga at sunrise or later in the day under the eye of a master practitioner or learn the art of pranayama, a special breathing technique designed to promote a sense of calm.

The state-of-the-art fitness centre provides a range of Life Fitness cardio and strength machines, and you can arrange a session with a personal trainer to help you make the most of your sessions.

Things to do include tennis (there are four floodlit courts), boxing training, bootcamp sessions, beach volleyball and soccer, cycling, nature hikes and aquagym sessions.

The resort’s dive centre offers PADI and CMAS courses for all levels from complete beginner to advanced.

You can take to the water in a variety of ways, including snorkelling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, pedal boating, windsurfing, Hobie cat sailing and glass-bottomed boat tours. For an additional fee, there’s also wakeboarding, banana tube riding, kite surfing and parasailing.

Waste water is recycled and used to irrigate the gardens, wash the paths and other suitable tasks. There is an in-house bottling system, with part of the profits from water sales going to the community project fund. All of the dispensers in the bathrooms are both refillable and biodegradable. The resort organises activities, fundraising and maintenance works for two schools for disadvantaged local children.

Guests staying a minimum of five nights can enjoy green fees at no extra cost and 1 round of golf per person per day at the celebrated 18-hole courses at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Anahita Golf Club.

Located on the east coast of Mauritius, the Le Touessrok, a member of 'The Leading Hotels of the World', offers guests an ultimate luxurious beach resort experience unlike any other.

The Le Touessrok is situated 50 minutes from the airport, 50 minutes from the capital Port Louis, and 5 minutes from the town of Trou d'Eau Douce.

The very best The Le Touessrok resort is supreme three-bedroom luxury, totally discreet with private swimming pools, gardens and separate entrances, designed in the spirit of contemporary Mauritian style.

Each Villa has a chef and team of waiting staff. The villas are prepared to the personal preferences of guests. Each villas has its own personal manager, on call 24 hours a day, who makes sure all is done exactly according to guests’ needs, tastes and wishes.

Stunningly landscaped private grounds enfold the Hotel - offering tennis courts, golf, and fully equipped fitness center - while the sea, with its four beaches and two separate islands, offers a huge variety of water sports and plenty opportunities for rest and refreshment!

The resort also has a jogging track and offers bocciball, volleyball, aqua-gym lessons, archery, badminton and football.

The Fitness center

The fitness center is open daily (7am to 8pm).

Tennis enthusiasts will appreciate complimentary use of the Peter Burwash International Tennis Club, located next to Hibiscus gardens. The Tennis Club has four floodlit synthetic courts, with individual coaching and full equipment available for hire.

Water and sea activities

The waters, reefs and southern trade winds of the Indian Ocean provide for the very best in diving, snorkeling, sailing, water-skiing and windsurfing.

All guests have access to free water sports and basic tuition from the Hotel's fully-trained team of instructors. The perfect way to try waterskiing, windsurfing and sailing safely for the first time, or simply to brush up your skills by using high-quality boats, boards and skis for no extra charge.

The waterspouts facility on Ile aux Cerfs, easily accessed by a free boat shuttle from the main Hotel (10 minute ride), provides plenty of activities for water enthusiasts. Many of these sports are free of charge to Hotel guests.

The allure of water is everywhere - guests at Le Touessrok can enjoy any of four intimate, pristine white beaches and two beautifully designed pools.

The white sand beaches are perfect for strolling, playing games or simply idling on luxurious sun beds in the shade of thatched parasols.

The large free-form main pool is at the focal point of the resort's mainland buildings, a relaxing tropical environment with swim-up to the Sega Bar. There is also a secluded pool of charm and privacy by Barlen's and the Fitness Centre. Each of the Villas has its own private infinity pool.

Refreshing beverages and a range of delectable light snacks and meals are served on the beaches and poolside from 7.30 in the morning to sundown.

Ile aux Cerfs Island - A 10 minute free boat ride takes you to the perfect place to spend a day relaxing by the beach on this beautiful paradise island. On Ile aux Cerfs you can participate in a number of exciting water sports, or simply to enjoy a great meal in one of the Le Touessrok restaurants operating on Ile aux Cerfs Island.

Ilot Mangenie Island - The truly romantic will love this deserted island, a few minutes by free boat transfer from the Hotel and an exclusive retreat for Le Touessrok guests. The island offers a perfect island retreat offering an intimate atmosphere and beautiful beaches.

The Givenchy Spa

Experience the ultimate in personal treatment at Le Touessrok Givenchy Spa complex.

The Givenchy Spa, one of a select few around the world, reflects Givenchy's famously elegant and understated style. The experience is unique - an exclusive opportunity to unwind and discover physical and mental harmony.

The Givenchy Spa works with the Matt Roberts Personal Trainers next door to combine treatments and fitness programs with suggestions on nutrition, beauty and health,and with the fashionable Bastien Gonzalez Podiatry & Pedicure Clinic, also in the same building.

The Spa and Health Center is open from 8.30am to 8.30pm and also features a hair salon and Givenchy Shop. It aims to give guests at Le Touessrok the ultimate feel-good experience. Treatments range from the Canyon Love Stone Therapy and the four-handed Ylang Ylang Body Massage, to Body Scrubs, Hydrotherapy, Facials and saunas.

After, or in-between treatments, clients are encouraged to enjoy the relaxation room. The Bride's Room is exclusively dedicated to the bride's pampering on her big day. Beauty Flash facials, manicures, foot massages, the ultimate make-over and hairstyling designed to make her feel special.

Children Facilities

Le Touessrok is a special place for families. There is so much to do for younger members and plenty of opportunity for them to be occupied while parents relax on the beach or by the pool.

Accommodation occupancy is designed to be adaptable for children, and parents can be happy in the knowledge that their children are busy and happy and safe, the young members enjoy all sorts of privileges.

Children T Club (ages 4-11)

For all children from 4-11 years Le Touessrok has its marvellous 'T-Club'. In its own large and well-equipped clubhouse, the club provides exciting and imaginative fun programmes and activities. With its Robin Hood theme and exciting "secret" location, the club is the perfect way for kids staying at the hotel to really get the most out of their holiday.

The club itself has play areas, a tree house and walkway, its own pool, arts and crafts facilities and computer stations (perfect for quiet times out of the sun.) Even its own restaurant for afternoon tea, for which the kids can bake cookies and other meals.

Children can enjoy golf, tennis, windsurfing and swimming clinics. There are also excursions with a focus on educational enrichment. Dinnertime is always a special occasion with a wide selection of menus.

The Children 'T-Club' is open daily, 10am-10pm.

Teen Club (ages 12-17)

The Le Touessrok also has a special teen's club, which is free to 12-17 year-olds. Youngsters can meet new friends from around the world in a safe and interesting environment and enjoy array of activities including sports, excursions, outings, discos and theme evenings.

Babysitters

Babysitters services are available at extra charge. The babysitters, are required for children of 2 and 3 years at the 'T-Club', unless accompanied by a parent.

Le Touessrok Golf Course - 18 holes

Le Touessrok Golf Course is pleased to offer complimentary green fees for guests at Le Touessrok (a compulsory golf cart charge is applicable).

Bernhard Langer designed the 18 hole, par 72 championship course to challenge advanced players, while remaining exciting and playable for recreational golfers. This is achieved with four sets of tee decks for each hole, so the angles of attack and approach vary. There is a generous provision of fairway where appropriate. The greens are mainly small and undulating, requiring precise approach shot.

The tees - Each hole has a minimum of 4 Tee decks: the Langer Tees, championship Tees, tournament Tees and forward Tees.

Golf Academy - The David Leadbetter Golf Academy facilities include an indoor swing studio with the latest computer aided swing analysis software for both individual and group tuition.

Prestigious ‘Golf International Magazine’ has listed Le Touessrok Golf Course at No. 1 rank in its “100 of the Finest Things in Golf” listing in a special issue celebrating its 100th issue. This commendation gives to the Bernhard Langer designed golf course a unique place in what the world has best to offer in contemporary golf.

Le Touessrok Islands

In addition to Le Touessrok main grounds, across the water are the resort's two islands - Ile aux Cerfs Island, with its spectacular championship golf course, water sports and beach restaurants, and Ilot Mangénie, an island retreat exclusive to the Touessrok guests. Both these islands are only short ride by private boat.

Ile aux Cerfs Island

A 10 minute free boat ride takes you to the perfect place to spend a day relaxing by the beach, participating in a number of exciting water sports, or simply to enjoy a great meal. Guests can relax and grab a bite at Paul et Virginie OR La Chaumière Masala restaurant.

This paradise island of Mauritius constitutes of around 100 hectares of land. Ile Aux Cerfs is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful lagoon and big selection of activities and facilities. On Ile Aux Cerfs once can have a day of relaxation and fun on one of the picture-postcard beaches, and enjoy a swim and snorkeling in the lagoon. The Ile Aux Cerfs beaches offer several water sports activities, beach activities and even golfing.

Ilot Mangenie Island

The truly romantic will love this deserted island, a few minutes by free boat transfer from the Hotel and an exclusive retreat for Le Touessrok guests.

On the Island each guest enjoys a treatment of kings, having a luxury sun bed, beach towels, and a dedicated personal treatment from captain Crusoe and his team.

The virgin beaches on Ilot Mangenie offer intimate exclusive atmosphere with very few people around. The Crusoe's Restaurant & Robinson's Bar guarantees you will enjoy the very best of the local cuisine during your stay on the island.

Le Touessrok Resort & Spa - Dining / Hotel Restaurants

Delicious food suits every mood - this describes best the amazing food on offer to guests at the Le Touessrok.

There is a 'gastronomic theatre' serving nine different cuisines, classic tropical dining poolside, refined east-meets-west cuisine, and relaxed shoes-off eating on the resort islands. Light snacks and refreshing beverages are also served on the beach all day.

Two restaurants are set on the mainland overlooking the pool and beach, but guests can also cross the connecting bridge to dine on Frangipani Island, or take a free boat shuttle to the Ile aux Cerfs or Ilot Mangénie for lunch at one of the beachside restaurants.

For those guests who can't face moving from their sun bed on the beach, they need not lift a finger, they can simply choose from selection of dishes, snacks and drinks available all day from the a la carte beach menu available on the beach (this service is available both on the main beach and on Frangipani Island).

About the Restaurants

Three nine eight.

The name says it all: on three floors there are the cuisines of nine countries in a 'culinary theatre' presented by eight show kitchens. This extraordinary buffet restaurant is the place for breakfasts, and sociable and entertaining evenings.

Three-Nine-Eight also has a spiritual dimension, rooted in Chinese Feng Shui, a philosophy that seeks true happiness through the harmonious existence of mankind with nature.

The main dining room on three different levels presents features nine different cuisines - Mauritian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and French, with eight spectacular, open kitchens, where you can see your breakfast or dinner being prepared.

Three-Nine-Eight includes a rotisserie & grill (inspired by Central European cuisine), a salad bar, an Asian noodle & wok workshop, a bakery and pastry shop, a coffee & tea bar, as well as a Mediterranean section with pasta boilers and an antipasti stall.

Open for breakfast (7.30 to 10.30am) and dinner (7 to 10pm).

Overlooking Hibiscus Bay, this elegant and contemporary restaurant serves highly sophisticated and timeless Indian recipes prepared with Continental methods. The modern interpretations of classical Indian cuisine are conceived by the chef, Ramesh Bundi.

A far smaller, more intimate Dining experience, seating just 56 people for dinner, Safran unfolds around an open kitchen and tandoori ovens which produce wonderful breads and smells. The restaurant design consist of open sides framed by chic wooden shutters which provide great sea views from the restaurant deck and at the same time welcome the refreshing sea breeze. Together with beautiful glasses, gold leaf plates, and with a contemporary design made with much attention to details, the Safran provides a designer-led ambiance.

Its menu is highly sophisticated, combining traditional Indian dishes with the sort of modern cooking techniques and contemporary touches which are beginning to win Indian restaurants.

The Safran is renown as one of the best restaurants in Mauritius offering a truly remarkable dinning experience.

Open for dinner only (7 to 10pm). Closed on Wednesdays.

The beach restaurant and bar on the shore of Trou d'Eau Douce bay is built from wood and thatch with an Asian-inspired interior, and presided over by ever-smiling and welcoming figure of Barlen himself.

The restaurant offers a range of dishes, based on a fusion of Asian and European cuisine. Barlen himself, a most charming host, has been at Le Touessrok since the early days of the resort.

Lunch and dinner revolve around a unique open kitchen featuring a glass-encased sushi counter, and a Japanese Robata grill alongside a European volcanic-rock grill. The light, refined contemporary cuisine combines the flavours of East and West.

Open for lunch and dinner. Closed on Sunday evenings.

The Bar is well known for its exceptional selection of Pure Malt Scotch Whiskies, as well as its impressive range of Single Barrel Bourbons. It also features Le Touessrok's own home-made rums along with fine rums from around the world.

In the evening, the rhythms of the resident jazz band will take you until late at night in a stylish atmosphere.

Paul & Virginie

During a day of waterspouts or relaxing on the beaches of Ile aux Cerfs, lunch is provided at the relaxed, barefoot restaurant Paul & Virginie.

Named after the famous shipwrecked lovers Paul et Virginie of the 18th century, the restaurant serves perfect beachside daytime fare of lightly grilled, fried or steamed local fish, seafood, pizzas and simple Mauritian dishes such as palm-heart salad.

In the evening this is perfect for a private or themed reception. The restaurant has its own dance floor, and the sandbank provides for entertainments and firework displays.

Near to the Paul et Virginie restaurant, Sands Bar serves a selection of drinks, light lunch dishes and snacks.

Open lunch and afternoon (12.30pm to 5pm).

La Chaumière Masala

Offering contemporary Indian cuisine, a true delight to Oriental savors, La Chaumière Masala is the latest restaurant to be discovered on Ile aux Cerfs Island. La Chaumière Masala has revisited classics of Indian cuisine which has been enhanced with local ingredients.

Open lunch and afternoon (12.30pm to 5pm). Closed on Mondays.

Crusoe's Restaurant & Robinson's Bar

On the resort's romantic 'desert island' of Ilot Mangénie, fresh local food and drinks are served beachside under the trees.

With a relaxed welcome from the manager 'Friday', Crusoe's offers wonderful locally caught same-day fresh fish, a salad bar and pizzas. On Sunday, the restaurant presents a sumptuous Mauritian outdoor buffet of spit-roasted lamb and chicken, Asian stir-fries, lagoon seafood and a tempting dessert counter, all accompanied by free flowing sparkling wine.

Open for lunch (12am to 3pm).

Robinson's Bar is the place to taste a selection of delicious home-made rum concoctions served by Mr Robinson himself, friendly Governor of Ilot Mangénie.

Kushi features eclectic Japanese cuisine and a sushi bar manned by a master sushi chef. The dining tables are outfitted with yakiniku grills. Republik Beach Club & Grill

Republik Beach Club & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers live music daily. The restaurant's soundtrack is a mix of urban and reggae music, which is backed by the scratching of a DJ. In addition, Republik Beach Club & Grill features barbecued specialties, a smoke house, sunken seating, communal tables and tequilas infused with herbs and fruit.

Safran features classical Indian cuisine in a contemporary setting with an open kitchen and is elegant and romantic. The restaurant features 1 set menu, which features 15 different plates (breads, rice, curries and tandoori, etc.), daily. High-end dishes, such as those containing lamb and lobster, are available at a premium.

Sega Bar offers a relaxing place with the best local talents' unique live jazz & blues every night. Guests are able to enjoy full selection of all Mauritian Rums and over 10 infused rums, unique signature cocktails, Rum based and smoked cocktails.

Tanto el hotel (ubicación, piscinas, playas, etc) como su gente excelente por su amabilidad, interés en que estuviera todo perfecto...Un 10 sin lugar a dudas.

Hotel bastante lujoso. Muy buena calidad del buffet. Cuando te acercas a una hamaca te traen siempre botellas de agua fría sin coste a mayores y a veces helado (se agradece, nosotros teníamos media pensión). Calidad de productos de baño buena (L’occitane) No tienes que estar pendiente de las toallas de playa, hay todas las que quieras a tu disposición, no es necesario que cargues con la toalla a todos sitios. Personal muy amable.

Staying at the hotel was a really nice experience. Staff are all helpfully and friendly, beach very besutiful , all facilities are available, and rooms are very nice and clean and food very delicious. It was an unexceptional stay.

The service and the general atmosphere is amazing. Everybody is so helpful, make you feel like a special guest. Japanese and Mediterranean restaurants are absolutely amazing. Food is great. Privacy on the beach is great. Live music every evening in the bar is great. Loved our stay and would stay again.
