The highlight of my experience was drinking in the world's largest private collection of Whisky, I would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed learning about the different regions of Scotland, and how they contribute to the unique taste of Scotch whisky. An added plus was getting to taste a variety of Scotch whiskies!

Each of us had fun, and learned some things about whisky and whisky production. The room with the huge whisky bottle collection was fascinating - so many different bottle shapes!

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) introduced the second generation Ertiga in November 2018 after nearly a decade of dominating the MPV section with the older version. The new Ertiga Tour M is based on the lightweight HEARTECT platform with premium exterior and interior tweaks. The new-gen Ertiga registered nearly 9000 units in March 2019, which is a testament to the ever-existing popularity of the seven-seater MUV. Maruti released a new variant of the Ertiga MPV named ‘Tour M’ in 2019, aimed at the commercial fleet and cab operators to leverage Ertiga’s potential even further.

The Maruti Ertiga Tour M is based on the mid-level VXi variant when it comes to specifications and features. Maruti already has the sedan Dzire Tour S in the Indian market positioned for commercial use and it is based on the entry-level model of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Tour M is designed and styled with premium options such as halogen projector headlamps, 3D tail lamps with LED, chrome front grille, full wheel caps, and turn signal light integrated into ORVM, body-coloured door handles and ORVM and 15-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the new Ertiga Tour M is designed in a dual-tone theme, 2nd-row seats are 60:40 split with slide and recline and the 3rd-row seat with 50:50 split with recline, armrest and headrest, split type luggage board, driver side sun visor with ticket holder, chrome-tipped parking brake lever, gear knob with chrome finish and fabric upholstery.

The dashboard has a MID-coloured TFT instrument cluster that has a tachometer, electronic multi-trip meter, digital clock, digital odometer, fuel consumption and distance to empty indicator, headlamp on warning and door ajar warning. The infotainment system comprises an audio system with electrostatic touch buttons, Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers, USB and AUX connectivity, steering-mounted audio control and steering-mounted calling control.

In terms of security and comfort, Maruti Suzuki has equipped new Ertiga Tour M with dual airbag, ABS with EBD and brake assist, engine immobilizer, ISOFIX child seat anchorages (2nd row), front seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiter, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder lamp with buzzer, speed-sensitive auto door lock, rear parking sensors, central locking, high-speed alert system, ESP, hill-hold assist, security alarm and anti-theft device.

When it comes to comfort and convenience, Maruti Suzuki has packed the new Ertiga Tour M with various features such as manual AC, air-cooled twin cup holder console, accessory socket front row with smartphone storage, power windows (Fr. + Rr.) with Dr. side auto down function, power and tilt steering, bottle holders in each row, cabin lamp (Fr. + Rr.), 2nd row adjustable AC, remote keyless entry, accessory socket with smartphone storage (2nd row), day and night adjustable IRVM, electrically adjustable ORVM, electrical foldable ORVM and passenger side sun visor with vanity mirror.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Tour M hosts a 1462cc 1.5L K15B smart hybrid 4-cylinder petrol engine. The BS6-compliant engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and generates a maximum power of 103.2 HP at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 138 Nm at 4400 rpm. The Tour M suspension duties are handled by McPherson strut and coil spring at the front and torsion beam and coil spring at the rear. The front brakes are ventilated discs and rear brakes are leading and trailing drums aided with a brake energy regeneration system. Maruti Suzuki has equipped the Tour M with 15 alloy wheels and tubeless tyres of 185/65-R15 sections at both front and rear ends.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Tour M is available in 2 fuel variants, Petrol and CNG. Maruti offers Tour M in three different colour options; Pearl Midnight Black, Pearl Arctic White and Metallic Silky Silver. The claimed ARAI mileage of the MPV is 18 km/l and the top speed it can reach is 80 km/h.

Best Locations in the Silver Circle in West Iceland:

1. deildartunguhver: largest geothermal hot spring in europe.

Iceland is often called the land of ice and fire because of snowcapped glaciers and numerous volcanoes. The geothermal activities inside the surface have created a marvelous Icelandic landscape. Deildartunguhver – the largest geothermal pool in Europe – is a perfect example of how geological forces continue to shape the Icelandic land.

It is a series of hot springs, but only 40% of the spring water is visible on the surface. The hot springs’ central area is by a clay hill known as Hverahóll hill. The water flowing at the rate of 180 l/s is extremely hot, touching almost 100°C. The boiling water provides central heating in the homes of nearby towns: Borgarnes and Akranes . Through a 64 KM long pipeline, the hot spring water reaches Akranes. If you have taken a bath while staying in this area, you probably have bathed with this powerful hot spring water. The hot spring is named after a nearby farm, Deildartunga.

This hot water is perfect for a steam bath. Just stand by the hot springs. You will be drenched from the steam. Although it’s challenging to get a good shot of this geothermal pool, you can get a relatively good angle to capture the colorful rocks surrounding the hot spring. The red-color rocks and green mosses on them create a beautiful contrast. You will see a special kind of deer fern that grows only in Deildartunguhver. 

The water is boiling hot so avoid getting too close to the hot spring. There is a railing right in front of the Deildartunguhver hot spring for visitor’s safety.

2. Krauma Spa

Krauma spa is a splendid new addition to Deildartunguhver geothermal spring. The spa remains open all year round; it consists of 6 baths. Five out of the six hot water pools receive their water from Deildartunguhver hot spring, while the last one is a cold water pool. Take a daring dip into the cold water pool.

It’s a great idea to submerge yourself in the Kramua spa while observing the beautiful view. The water temperature remains at an ideal 38-39 degrees. It’s an incredible experience to soak into the warm water from Europe’s most powerful geothermal spring, Deildartunguhver. Changing and relaxation rooms are nearby pools. You would also love to have lunch/dinner at the Krauma restaurant, offering local as well as international cuisines.

3. Árhver Hot Spring

Arhver is a natural wonder – a hot spring right in the middle of the Reykjadalsá river. Although it is one of the least visited sites on the Silver Circle, soaking in this little natural spring is worth your time. The hot spring is hardly visible from afar. The only indication that there exists a geothermal pool is steam coming from the river.

4. Reykholt

Your next stop on the Silver circle is a historical site, Reykholt . It was home to one of the most powerful and richest men, Snorri Sturluson (1179-1241).

Reykholt used to be an educational and cultural center during medieval times. Snorri was a multitalented individual who lived between the late 11th century and early 12th century. He was a politician, businessman, writer, poet, and historiographer. On top of that, he had enormous wealth during the Age of the Sturlungs. He lived in Reykholt and was assassinated by the men claiming to be the agents of Norway. However, Iceland’s most influential person had left a deep impression on Icelandic culture through his writing. The Prose Edda is thought to have been compiled by him. The stories and legends in the Prose are a significant source of today’s Norse methodology.

To quote, “A sword age, a wind age, a wolf age. No longer is there mercy among men.”― Snorri Sturluson, The Prose Edda.

The archaeological site, Snorralaug , is also located in Reykholt.

5. Hraunfossar Waterfalls

You will find many waterfalls and natural pools while on the route of the Silver circle. Hraunfossar waterfalls spread around a 1KM wide area and consist of numerous water springs gushing out from the underneath lava field of Hallmundarhraun. The crystal clear water then joins the Hvita river, originating from the Eiríksjökull glacier. Take your camera out to capture the natural wonder, Hraunfossar waterfalls.

Hraunfossar waterfalls originate from a lava field called Hallmundarhraun, named after a character from the Saga of Grettir. This area is part of the national monuments of Iceland.

6. Barnafoss or Children's Falls

Another beautiful waterfall, Barnafoss , is located nearby Hraunfossar.

The Barnafoss waterfall is located on the river Hvita. Barnafoss seems like a magical site consisting of many trickling waterfalls. These waterfalls show varied characteristics; while one of them flows faster, the other remains peaceful. This is a perfect example of how contrast Icelandic landscape that is ever-changing and vivid spectacles can exist in just a few meters’ distances. There is a pedestrian bridge called Barnafossbrú on the river Hvita. You will get a panoramic view of the waterfalls from this bridge.

According to Icelandic folklore, there used to be a stone arch across the river. A widow with her two adolescents lived on a farm nearby the arch. One day while going to church, she told her children to stay home. But the children following the path of churchgoers reached the stone bridge. When they arrived in the middle of this bridge, they felt dizzy and fell in the Hvita river. When the mother returned from mass, the children were nowhere to be found. She got furious and cursed that no man would ever cross the river alive. Since then, this waterfall is called Barna (child)-foss (fall) or Children’s Falls.

7. Husafell

Husafell is one of the earliest settlements in Iceland. The Viking sagas are written all over the place. Here you will find numerous opportunities for adventure and leisure. From ice-caving and lava-caving to canyon baths and a chance to witness magical Northern Lights – discover nature’s splendid work at its best.

If you’re driving by yourself on the Silver circle route, staying a day at Husafell is a great idea. Adventurers and artists flock here to spend their time with the tranquil landscape of lava and pond. Interestingly, the trees here are tall (Icelandic standards) and almost no wind making Husafell an ideal place for hiking. 

You can taste your strength with Husafell’s Stone – 180 KG stone called Kviahellan. This 300 years old stone was carved out from a big rock by the strongest man of Iceland, Reverend Snorri (1710-1803).

You will see a beautiful stone artwork by Pall in Husafell, a descendant of Snorri. Pall’s stone works are famous throughout Iceland.

9. Ice Cave Tour in Langjokull Glacier

Just an hour’s drive from Husafell is another marvel of Iceland – the world’s largest artificial ice cave .  The ice cave tunnel is built inside Langjökull , the second largest glacier of Iceland. The ice cave is called Into the Glacier. 

A 20-ton monster truck will take you to the entrance of Langkolull glacier. Then track through a 500m long tunnel inside the glacier. There are five ice-chambers in the tunnel, each with its varied structures such as magnificent crevasses and blue ice formations. It is quite an enthralling adventure to be inside a glacier. You need to join a guided tour to visit this ice cave. Most of the tours start from Húsafell.

9. Víðgelmir Lava Cave

Another cave is a lava cave surrounded by vivid color patterns. The cave is located in the Hallmundarhraun lava field called Víðgelmir . There are two large openings in the Northside, the Víðgelmir runs 1585m long, and some of the most extensive parts of the cave passage are wide enough for two monster trucks to pass at once. That’s why it is by far the largest lava cave in Iceland.

Now the local authorities have added wooden stairs and walkways to make the cave more accessible for people.

10. Þingvellir National Park

Þingvellir National Park is a historic site and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Park is uniquely situated along the border between North Atlantic and European tectonic plates.

Þingvellir’s history is pretty much the history of Iceland. The country’s first and probably the world’s oldest parliament, the Alþing, first convened before 930 AD and operated until 1271 AD, laying the foundation of modern Iceland. The Þingvellir continued to signify the unity and independent nature of Icelandic people till the 18 th century. It was the scenery of some of the darkest moments as well as significant historical events. It was declared a national park in 1930 due to its enormous significance for Icelandic culture and breathtaking landscapes.

The Park is situated on a very active geologically active Mid Atlantic Ridge. The geological activity inside the surface explains the Park’s magnificent landscape. The tectonic movements’ impact is visible in the Park.

Earthquakes or small tremors are still an everyday phenomenon in Þingvellir. No significant volcanic eruptions in the last 2000 years, but they are not extinct.

Another incredible beauty of the Þingvellir Park is Þingvallavatn lake, situated 1oom above sea level with a surface area of 84 square kilometers. It is the largest natural lake in Iceland, with an average depth of 34m.

The Park is also rich in flora and fauna. It is characterized by birch woodland, 172 species of higher plants, and 52 bird species.

The Þingvellir Park is usually considered a ‘weather paradise.’ The weather in the day remains bearable in summers, but nights can be cold. Winters can be excessively snowy.

It is usually the last stop on the Silver circle route. But there are variations to this route; some visits can be omitted while others are included.

Here’s why Gold at $3,000 and Silver at $50 is a real possibility in 2024 [Video]

It's official: Google searches for the phrase “How To Trade Gold” are now back at the highest level seen in over a decade!

This comes as no surprise, considering the current macroeconomic backdrop is fuelling a “perfect storm” for Gold – firmly positioning the precious metal as one of the best performing asset classes of 2024.

Gold’s meteoric rise to glistening new heights has continued to go from strength to strength this year, significantly bolstering its iconic status as the 'must-have' asset class in every portfolio.

To quote analysts at GSC Commodity Intelligence – “yet another day and yet another all-time record high for Gold prices. That’s one of the most lucrative trends of the current Commodities Supercycle, that we find ourselves in right now”.

On Friday, Gold prices skyrocketing to a new all-time record high of $2,400 an ounce, surpassing the precious metals previous all-time high of $2,376 an ounce that had been set only a day earlier.

Gold has been on an unstoppable run since October last year, surging from near the $1,800 level to score back-to-back all-time record highs – not once, not twice, but on endless occasions.

The precious metal is up over 21% since mid-February. But more impressively, Gold prices have now chalked up a whopping gain of more than 33% since October.

Meanwhile, Silver prices have moved within striking distance of $30 an ounce for the first time in 2024 – climbing over 42% since mid-February, when prices were trading sub $21 an ounce.

And this could just the beginning!

According to GSC Commodity Intelligence – what we're seeing is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s only a matter of days if not hours before prices scale another record high.

In a new survey conducted by GSC Commodity Intelligence of roughly 250 financial institutions – the survey found that growing concerns over ballooning global debt and uncontrollable government borrowing, which currently sits at record $307.4 trillion – is emerging as one of the primary catalysts fuelling central banks around the world to build up their Gold reserves at a record pace to diversify away from the U.S dollar.

A similar trend is also emerging at the retail level.

The wholesale retailer Costco has been selling 24K Gold bars since September and they are selling out within minutes! The retail giant also recently added Silver to it’s precious metals inventory.

And guess what? Both are flying off the shelves faster than the store can replenish stock . The retailer currently sells up to $200 million worth of Gold and Silver each month. Those figures are projected to increase by 50% in the next 12 months.

All of this tells us one thing: demand for Gold and Silver shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon – which ultimately suggests that prices are only heading in one direction from here.

And that's higher, a lot higher!

6 of the best looks at the Fashion Trust US Awards and 5 that missed the mark

• The Fashion Trust US Awards were hosted in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.
• Celebrities like Ashley Graham and Da'Vine Joy Randolph wore some of the event's best outfits.
• Other stars like Heidi Klum and Storm Reid missed standout fashion opportunities.

The best of Hollywood fashion was celebrated in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

At the annual Fashion Trust US Awards, the nonprofit shared its mission of supporting young artists and helping them achieve global recognition. Stars like Heidi Klum and Cynthia Erivo walked the red carpet, and major designers took home trophies for their style achievements.

Accessories brand ManLuu , for example, made history when its products sold out at Nordstrom in 2021, only three months after launching. The brand's founder, MoAnA Luu, accepted the Fashion Trust US Jewelry Award on Tuesday night.

The ceremony also awarded over $500,000 in funding to winners like Luu.

But what about the actual fashion seen at the event? Some of it was stunning, while other looks missed the mark.

Here's a look at the best and worst celebrity looks.

Ashley Graham kept things simple and chic in a black, asymmetrical gown.

Her vintage Balmain design had a single shoulder strap with a hoop embellishment, a wrap skirt with the same hardware, and a thigh-high slit that showed her strappy sandals.

Graham looked stylish in the dress, and she accessorized it perfectly with hoop earrings and an updo hairstyle.

Heidi Klum's denim dress missed the mark.

Klum never looks bad — she's a supermodel for a reason. But her gown from Sonia Carrasco was more reminiscent of Y2K styles than it was fashion-forward.

The denim piece hung off one shoulder at the top and was left unbuttoned down most of its skirt, creating a wide train that circled her.

Her minimal accessories and plain black pumps were the right choice for the look, but a different, more modern dress might have made for a better outfit overall.

Andra Day sparkled in black and silver pieces.

Designed by Zuhair Murad, Day's outfit included black undergarments beneath a mesh, high-neck gown.

It had billowing sleeves, a floral appliqué at the neckline, and a thigh-high slit in the center of its skirt.

But most stunning was the gown's sequined design, made of tiny silver sparkles that covered the mesh piece and matched her glimmering eye makeup.

Storm Reid missed an opportunity to have a major fashion moment.

The actor walked the pink carpet in a tan gown that was longer on one side than the other. It had a single-draped long sleeve and a floor-length skirt with a deep slit that extended up the opposite side.

Reid looked glamorous in the neutral gown, completing the look with platform sandals and gold jewelry.

But because the night celebrated fashion, it would have been fun to see Reid step out of her comfort zone and wear something bolder. For example, the same look in a brighter color could have made all the difference.

Kelsea Ballerini stood out on the pink carpet in a lace gown.

Zuhair Murad designed her black dress, which hugged her body and was made entirely of lace. The semi-sheer design also had long sleeves, a corset bodice, and a mermaid skirt that fanned into a train behind her.

Not only was the outfit unique from anything else on the carpet, but it was also a departure from Ballerini's usual style that leans more feminine and soft.

Her ensemble was undoubtedly one of the best of the night.

Paris Hilton's edgy minidress didn't work.

Hilton arrived at the event wearing a cutout design from Mugler. The long-sleeve piece was structured and covered in see-through panels, and its matching miniskirt featured a similar chopped design.

It was nice to see Hilton wear something bold and unique, but the design didn't match her bubbly personality and usual fashion aesthetic.

Her accessories also distracted from the look. She wore striped tights and thick sunglasses, which covered her face for most of the event.

Da'Vine Joy Randolph was the epitome of glamour.

The actor wore a black, strapless gown from Rahul Mishra that made her look like the star of the show.

It was covered from top to bottom in black sequins, giving the dress a subtle sparkle that shined in the light. It also had silver floral pieces attached to its bodice, which complemented the gown's thigh-high slit.

Randolph perfected the look with simple heels and a blonde hairstyle.

Jessica Biel's two-piece outfit might have worked better with different pants.

She wore a David Koma design comprised of wide-legged trousers and a short-sleeved blouse made from massive crystals.

Though the top was fun and unique, it would have paired better with tighter pants or a miniskirt — how Koma displayed it on his recent runway.

An updo hairstyle might have also benefited the outfit, specifically by allowing for more emphasis on the bejeweled top.

Evan Ross showed the power of unique menswear.

His outfit for the night included black platform boots, brown trousers lined with fringe, and a floor-length duster coat embellished with gold, epaulet-style pieces.

The statement pieces helped Ross stand out on the pink carpet, and his layered gold necklaces added more shine to his look.

Dylan Sprouse could have taken a bigger fashion risk.

He arrived at the awards ceremony in a simple outfit comprised of a black jacket, a blue striped shirt, and classic trousers.

The actor looked sharp, but his outfit wasn't memorable. A brightly-colored suit, a more unique jacket, or adding some accessories would have been better choices for his pink-carpet appearance.

Cynthia Erivo showed that even simple ensembles can be powerful with the right accessories.

She stepped onto the pink carpet in a black, sleeveless gown crafted from a textured fabric. Its scooped neckline highlighted the heart tattoos on her chest, and its pleated miniskirt was the perfect silhouette for the actor.

But Erivo really shined with accessories. She wore cheetah-print pumps that added a fun print to the look and a mix of gold, diamond, and crystal jewelry.

A beach hazard statement in effect for Coastal Volusia Region

Orange county public schools push half-cent sales tax to fund maintenance, upgrades, voters could decide tax in november.

ORLANDO, Fla. – When you walk through the halls of Edgewater High School in the present day, there are reminders of the past. Pictures show what the auditorium originally looked like when the school was built in 1952. In 2011, it was upgraded in a renovation paid for by sales tax approved by voters in the early 2000s.

Scott Howat, the chief communications officer at Orange County Public Schools, gave our News 6 team a tour of the school to showcase the power of the half-cent sales tax. Orange County’s is set to expire late next year.

“The half-penny sales tax, when it comes to a revenue stream, is really the only stream we have to address growth, to build new schools, to address those major renovations,” Howat said.

This November, it could be up to voters to approve it once again.

“The half-penny sales tax is critical, and our board will make a decision to move forward based on budget, based on data, based on what they’re looking at,” said Howat “The survey was critical for that.”

We asked OCPS to share the results of their recent facilities survey with our News 6 team. Howat said it gives them feedback from faculty, families, and the community so they can move forward and make informed decisions.

More than 10,000 people shared their priorities, and what they feel is their school’s top building or maintenance need. The responses were compiled in groups including elementary schools, K-8′s, high schools and more. Some top concerns were shaded spaces, A/C, overcrowding and clean and safe bathrooms.

“A lot of these immediate needs are getting fixed,” Howat said. “The issue is the fix needs to be long term. You want to invest back in your facilities.”

Our News 6 Investigators found out that more than $890 million worth of maintenance projects in Orange County could go unfunded, and they’re not the only district. The superintendent of Marion County Public Schools calls it a crisis.

“I think we have, and it’s not being overly dramatic,” Dr. Diane Gullett told News 6 in February.

“It’s been 15 years since there’s been a sales tax for our facility needs, and it’s been 13 years since we’ve had impact fees since they were suspended,” said Dr. Gullett.

Marion County also wants voters to decide in November.

If the Board approves a referendum for the ballot in Orange County, voters will decide to renew the existing half-cent tax.

“This is a continuation. If you paid it before, you’re paying it now,” said Howat. “Secondly, 50% or more of this tax is paid for by people who don’t even live in Orange County. You have Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Brevard paying for our schools here in Orange County, because they come into our county, they spend money, they pay. That tax is derived by more than 50%t from those who don’t even live here.”

Now that Orange County Public Schools has the community’s input from its survey, leaders are working on the half-cent sales tax proposal. On May 7th, the Board will discuss their budget capital priorities for the next year and for the next 10 years and make a decision as to whether they’re going to put the sales tax before voters in November.

News 6 asked what happens if voters don’t want to approve it again.

“I don’t even want to think about that,” said Howat. “If that happens, we could go back to some of those pictures that we saw from Edgewater. We’d have 50-year-old buildings, portables to address growth. We would not be able to build schools.”

Producer price index rises at fastest pace in nearly a year as storm of bad inflation news mounts—but economist see a silver lining

U.S. producer prices rose rose in March from a year earlier at the fastest pace in nearly a year, but the gain was less than economists expected. And wholesale inflation eased on a month to month basis.

The Labor Department said Thursday that its producer price index — which measures inflationary pressure before it reaches consumers — rose 2.1% last month from March 2023 , biggest year-over-year jump since April 2023. But economists had forecast a 2.2% increase, according to a survey of forecasters by the data firm FactSet. And compared to February, wholesale prices were up just 0.2%, down from a 0.6% gain in February.

Stripping out volatile food and energy prices, so-called core wholesale prices were up 0.2% last month from February, the second straight drop, and 2.4% from March 2023. The year-over-year increase in core producer prices was the most since August.

The slightly better-than-expected producer price reading comes at a time of worries that progress against inflation had stalled, raising doubts about whether and when the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates.

In the face of aggressive Fed rate hikes, inflation had fallen steadily after peaking in mid-2022. But the improvements have lately proven harder to come by.

The Labor Department reported Wednesday that its consumer price index was up 3.5% last month from a year earlier, the second straight increase in year-over-year inflation, which remains stuck well above the Fed’s 2% target. Consumer prices were up 0.4% last month from February, matching the January increase. They haven’t fallen on a month-over-month basis since October.

Combating a resurgence of inflation that began in the spring of 2021, the Fed raised its benchmark interest rate 11 times between March 2022 and July 2023, lifting it to a 23-year high. The central bank has signaled that it expects to cut rates three times this year — a reversal in policy that has been eagerly awaited on Wall Street. But inflation’s recent stubbornness has cast doubt on when the rate cuts will start and whether the Fed will really manage to squeeze in three of them this year.

Wall Street investors had originally hoped to see the first rate cut in March. But that didn’t happen, and the inflation numbers have plateaued. Now a majority of investors don’t expect a rate cut until the Fed’s September meeting, according to CME’s FedWatch tool.
