We bid farewell to Maria Celina Vargas of Boynton Beach, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Maria Celina touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Maria Celina is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Maria Celina's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by : her daughter Michelle Vargas Robin. She is survived by : her husband George Vargas; her son George Vargas; her grandchildren, Justin, Christina, Cassandra, Carissa, Morgan and Kyle; and her great grandchildren, Jax and Jones.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home & Crematory (599 NE 15th Ave, Boynton Beach, FL 33435). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (10935 S Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL 33436). A committal service was held on Tuesday, July 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068).

What about my student?

Journey Middle School students will meet in The Venue at the Lake Worth campus on Encounter Night. All other students are invited to participate and attend at the campus of their choice and sit with their family or friends. 

Will there be food?

Chick-Fil-A sandwiches or nuggets with chips, a cookie and drink are available for pre-order for $7. Registration for food closes on the Sunday night prior to Encounter. Use the button below to register for Lake Worth.

Do I need to register?

You do not need to register to attend Encounter Night. However, if you want to check your child into Journey Kids (ages 0-4) or order food, please use the links above to register.
