Great advice at a fair price.

Book with confidence of a fabulous holiday experience

This is the second time Marina has arranged a holiday for us. Third time booking with Trailfinders. Marina was really knowledgeable and helpful, searching for the best prices for where we wanted to go. I always feel we can book with confidence. Somehow whenever we go to just look we always come out with a deposit paid! But no pressure to buy on the day.

First Class Service- why you should use a travel agent

Been using Trailfinders since 2017 and cannot fault them. Always provide excellent service. Whilst booking this year’s holiday with them I mentioned in passing to my travel agent, Sandor, I was having issues with the hotel from my previous year’s holiday. They had taken a duplicate payment from my credit card for my room charges. I was having no luck getting the refund. He said leave that with me I will sort that. Within48 hours it was sorted and my refund received. From the time you start talking to them to well after you are back from your holiday they are there for you to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Excellent service from Trailfinders…

Excellent service from our Trailfinders travel consultant. An eight week holiday was organised with very competitive pricing too. Flights arranged, long haul to Australia via Singapore. Hotels booked through them for Singapore, Melbourne and Dubai. Transfers from airports also prompt and professional. Could not fault any of the arrangements and wouldn’t think of using another travel agent.

Another great South African trip

All arrangements worked really well from pre-departure to our final night's hotel 7 weeks later. Car hire at Cape Town airport (we even got an upgrade to an automatic SUV!), flights and hotels were all excellent. We have used Trailfinders many times and we always recommend them to friends and family.

Trip to Jordan

Our TrailFinders agent, Dec O'Halloran really looked after us throughout the planning of our trip to Jordan in April. Communication was clear and we were gently reminded of things we needed to do and made aware of changes. Dec always got back to us when we had a question or query. My first time of using Trailfinders.

It was the first time that I have used Trailfinders, having been recommended by a friend to use them. The time and service given to me was excellent; I felt as if I could ask any question, even basic simple ones and they would be dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. Furthermore aspects apart from the flight were also mentioned ie insurance, visa requirements etc. Lastly I felt that if there was anything I needed to ask or discuss/clarify at a later stage I would be most welcomed to contact Trailfinders.

Great service with the know how

Just being able to discuss my trip with an agent face to face is a bonus in this post covid era. Lucky enough to have a shop in Canterbury. I was able to secure all the travel tickets I need and within my budget. I never thought I could afford Emirates business class but Nigel at Canterbury managed to find the tickets for me and at a very reasonable price. So very happy. Thank you.

Round-the-world air ticket with excellent service

We wanted to fly to New Zealand to spend some time with our niece, who lives there. After discussion with Sam at Trailfinders, we booked a round-the-world air ticket with extended stopovers in Hawaii and Thailand with activities and accommodation. We had a number of discussions with Sam as we pieced the flights and itinerary together. It was a little fiddly as not every flight “qualifies” for the round-the-world ticket, but Sam was very diligent and patient. He also gave us great guidance in terms of accommodation and activities, understanding what we were looking for. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Everything worked as planned. The agencies on the ground in Hawaii and Thailand were very easy to work with. The round-the-world air ticket was a very cost-effective option and what could have been a complex and tiresome travel experience was made much easier by Sam and his colleagues, allowing us to enjoy our holiday and our time with our niece. I'm traveling the US from Italy for two months this summer. Their policy looks great, but have been had pressed to find reviews on their insurance. If you've purchased travel insurance with them (NOT TOURS or other travel arrangements), I'd like to know what your experience was.

I used them once for this (UK based) but it was a good 15years ago. They were simply the best price at the time for the cover I needed, and were underwritten by a reputable name (AXA, I think).

I haven't used them since then, simply because when I looked they haven't been the cheapest option for the cover required from a reputable underwriter. That was for a one year worldwide (including US) policy for two of us.

I didn't have to claim, so I cannot review the most important part of insurance, but their documentation was clear. The details of what was and what wasn't covered, variants and the cost given openly and so purchase and maintenance was easy.

I have no fixed supplier - I buy each year based upon my likely travel arrangements, who is giving the best price for a policy that covers my needs, while having a known reputation as to how much they do ot don't mess you around at the point of claim.

That changes from year to year - the current policy is with Endsleigh but they are a UK firm/trading name and so won't be applicable to the Italian market.

I have not used Trailfinders so cannot comment. True Traveller has met my cover needs and been the cheapest for a couple of annual policies and a coupe of single trips (they have not always been the cheapest though). They offer cover in Europe. TT do not usually appear on comparison websites.

Thanks for your replies. I wound up purchasing my policy through Trailfinders. I did a lot of shopping around, and they seem to offer good coverage and have a US toll-free phone number for medical emergencies, which was a selling point. Globelinks came in a close second. They offers higher coverage in most areas (but not the ones that meant the most to me), and were slightly more expensive for their annual policy, That, on top of having to contact them in the UK from the US, dropped them down to second place.

I am just seeing your response now - for some reason, I haven't received updates on my original post. The timing, however, is optimal, as I will be traveling to the US next week, and once again, looking for travel insurance. What may make it more challenging is that I am now over 65 and it seems the few companies that provide travel insurance to the US have an age restriction, and not all UK based companies provide insurance to to people traveling from Italy; where I currently have my residence.

Being injured overseas (or anywhere) can be traumatic, in and of itself. If I understand correctly, I'm glad you were able to settle your claim in the end.

I have used Trailfinders Insurance products on and off for the last 15 years and have taken out single trip, annual policies as well as year long extended trip cover. I have had occasion to claim on a couple of occasions and the claims were processed quickly and efficiently when dealing with their then CSA claims agency.

Trailfinders are a travel agency NOT an insurer, so I would check who their underwriters are but Trailfinders are a highly respected company so I can’t imagine they would use anyone without a good track record.

They do insure EU residents so your Italian residence won’t be an issue, neither will your age. however it is essential to disclose ALL pre existing conditions and medical history (easily done by telephone) however minor they may seem which may result in an additional premium. if you don’t do this your cover may be invalid.

My current policy is with Virgin which offer similar levels of cover (but for me they have been cheaper over the last two years. they also offer the facility to mix and match the cover to suit your particular needs which can reduce premiums e.g. if you are not bothered about baggage cover etc.

both companies will quote online so I would check out both. also, if you have any other trips planned in the next year, an annual policy may be cost effective.

I wrote my reply a few days and didn't realize I hadn't hit the "post" button. I have checked out Virgin, which seems to be more expensive than Trailfinders.. Their website indicates that you can customize your insurance, but there's no option for doing so - the links didn't work. Unfortunately, if I understood correctly, there's a fee for calling them with questions. I'm looking in to a couple of other possibilities, but. happy to know you had a good experience with claims going through Trailfinders, so will use them as my back up.

The perfect honeymoon booking experience

Niamh was so helpful from start to finish. She was very good at understanding what we wanted and suiting it to our budget, letting us know how we could save money or spend money more effectively to have the honeymoon we wanted at the price we wanted. Fantastic travel agent

We have just booked a trip to Malaysia with Trailfinders and can honestly say we were so impressed. Our travel agent - Iain Yates (Yorkshire branch) was knowledgable, patient and accommodating. He was able to understand exactly what we wanted and seemed to know what we were after before we even knew it. When issues did arise, we felt listened to and it was sorted quickly and efficiently. This is the second time Marina has arranged a holiday for us. Third time booking with Trailfinders. Marina was really knowledgeable and helpful, searching for the best prices for where we wanted to go. I always feel we can book with confidence. Somehow whenever we go to just look we always come out with a deposit paid! But no pressure to buy on the day.

First Class Service- why you should use a travel agent

Been using Trailfinders since 2017 and cannot fault them. Always provide excellent service. Whilst booking this year’s holiday with them I mentioned in passing to my travel agent, Sandor, I was having issues with the hotel from my previous year’s holiday. They had taken a duplicate payment from my credit card for my room charges. I was having no luck getting the refund. He said leave that with me I will sort that. Within48 hours it was sorted and my refund received. From the time you start talking to them to well after you are back from your holiday they are there for you to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Excellent service from Trailfinders…

Excellent service from our Trailfinders travel consultant. An eight week holiday was organised with very competitive pricing too. Flights arranged, long haul to Australia via Singapore. Hotels booked through them for Singapore, Melbourne and Dubai. Transfers from airports also prompt and professional. Could not fault any of the arrangements and wouldn’t think of using another travel agent.

Another great South African trip

All arrangements worked really well from pre-departure to our final night's hotel 7 weeks later. Car hire at Cape Town airport (we even got an upgrade to an automatic SUV!), flights and hotels were all excellent. We have used Trailfinders many times and we always recommend them to friends and family.

Trip to Jordan

Our TrailFinders agent, Dec O'Halloran really looked after us throughout the planning of our trip to Jordan in April. Communication was clear and we were gently reminded of things we needed to do and made aware of changes. Dec always got back to us when we had a question or query. My first time of using Trailfinders.

It was the first time that I have used Trailfinders, having been recommended by a friend to use them. The time and service given to me was excellent; I felt as if I could ask any question, even basic simple ones and they would be dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. Furthermore aspects apart from the flight were also mentioned ie insurance, visa requirements etc. Lastly I felt that if there was anything I needed to ask or discuss/clarify at a later stage I would be most welcomed to contact Trailfinders.

Amazing service

As usual the Trailfinders service was exemplary. Their initial advice, helpfulness and willingness to adapt the trip to fit our requirements was superb. Great service with the know how

Just being able to discuss my trip with an agent face to face is a bonus in this post covid era. Lucky enough to have a shop in Canterbury. I was able to secure all the travel tickets I need and within my budget. I never thought I could afford Emirates business class but Nigel at Canterbury managed to find the tickets for me and at a very reasonable price. So very happy. Thank you.

Round-the-world air ticket with excellent service

We wanted to fly to New Zealand to spend some time with our niece, who lives there. After discussion with Sam at Trailfinders, we booked a round-the-world air ticket with extended stopovers in Hawaii and Thailand with activities and accommodation. We had a number of discussions with Sam as we pieced the flights and itinerary together. It was a little fiddly as not every flight “qualifies” for the round-the-world ticket, but Sam was very diligent and patient. He also gave us great guidance in terms of accommodation and activities, understanding what we were looking for. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Everything worked as planned. The agencies on the ground in Hawaii and Thailand were very easy to work with. The round-the-world air ticket was a very cost-effective option and what could have been a complex and tiresome travel experience was made much easier by Sam and his colleagues, allowing us to enjoy our holiday and our time with our niece. I'm traveling the US from Italy for two months this summer. Their policy looks great, but have been had pressed to find reviews on their insurance. If you've purchased travel insurance with them (NOT TOURS or other travel arrangements), I'd like to know what your experience was.

I used them once for this (UK based) but it was a good 15years ago. They were simply the best price at the time for the cover I needed, and were underwritten by a reputable name (AXA, I think).

I haven't used them since then, simply because when I looked they haven't been the cheapest option for the cover required from a reputable underwriter. That was for a one year worldwide (including US) policy for two of us.

I didn't have to claim, so I cannot review the most important part of insurance, but their documentation was clear. The details of what was and what wasn't covered, variants and the cost given openly and so purchase and maintenance was easy.

I have no fixed supplier - I buy each year based upon my likely travel arrangements, who is giving the best price for a policy that covers my needs, while having a known reputation as to how much they do ot don't mess you around at the point of claim.

That changes from year to year - the current policy is with Endsleigh but they are a UK firm/trading name and so won't be applicable to the Italian market.

I have not used Trailfinders so cannot comment. True Traveller has met my cover needs and been the cheapest for a couple of annual policies and a coupe of single trips (they have not always been the cheapest though). They offer cover in Europe. TT do not usually appear on comparison websites.

Thanks for your replies. I wound up purchasing my policy through Trailfinders. I did a lot of shopping around, and they seem to offer good coverage and have a US toll-free phone number for medical emergencies, which was a selling point. Globelinks came in a close second. They offers higher coverage in most areas (but not the ones that meant the most to me), and were slightly more expensive for their annual policy, That, on top of having to contact them in the UK from the US, dropped them down to second place.

I am just seeing your response now - for some reason, I haven't received updates on my original post. The timing, however, is optimal, as I will be traveling to the US next week, and once again, looking for travel insurance. What may make it more challenging is that I am now over 65 and it seems the few companies that provide travel insurance to the US have an age restriction, and not all UK based companies provide insurance to to people traveling from Italy; where I currently have my residence.

Being injured overseas (or anywhere) can be traumatic, in and of itself. If I understand correctly, I'm glad you were able to settle your claim in the end.

I have used Trailfinders Insurance products on and off for the last 15 years and have taken out single trip, annual policies as well as year long extended trip cover. I have had occasion to claim on a couple of occasions and the claims were processed quickly and efficiently when dealing with their then CSA claims agency.

Trailfinders are a travel agency NOT an insurer, so I would check who their underwriters are but Trailfinders are a highly respected company so I can’t imagine they would use anyone without a good track record.

They do insure EU residents so your Italian residence won’t be an issue, neither will your age. however it is essential to disclose ALL pre existing conditions and medical history (easily done by telephone) however minor they may seem which may result in an additional premium. if you don’t do this your cover may be invalid.

My current policy is with Virgin which offer similar levels of cover (but for me they have been cheaper over the last two years. they also offer the facility to mix and match the cover to suit your particular needs which can reduce premiums e.g. if you are not bothered about baggage cover etc.

both companies will quote online so I would check out both. also, if you have any other trips planned in the next year, an annual policy may be cost effective.

I wrote my reply a few days and didn't realize I hadn't hit the "post" button. I have checked out Virgin, which seems to be more expensive than Trailfinders.. Their website indicates that you can customize your insurance, but there's no option for doing so - the links didn't work. Unfortunately, if I understood correctly, there's a fee for calling them with questions. I'm looking in to a couple of other possibilities, but. happy to know you had a good experience with claims going through Trailfinders, so will use them as my back up.
