My wife & I arrive by train to Liverpool this coming November & plan to spend 4 nights there.

Questions, is 4 nights enough to enjoy the home of the Beatles & some other sights ?

There is much more to Liverpool these days than the Beatles

Yes 4 days is probably adequate but you could spend the 8 days in Liverpool and still not be bored

Llandudno is a seaside town

It’s fairly level in most parts.

There is a traditional Victorian pier where you can stroll and a promenade too.

There is a very good choice if accommodation and restaurants in Llandudno

Nearby is Conwy which is a medieval walled town and a castle

It’s smaller than Llandudno but very interesting

It’s a straightforward train journey from Liverpool Central - Chester - Llandudno

Alternatively you can get a direct train from Liverpool Central to Llandudno Junction ( then bus , train into Llandudno town ) and Conwy.

It's great that you are planning to spend 4 nights in Liverpool, as it has a lot to offer related to the Beatles and a lot to offer regarding history (especially connections with US), architecture, pubs & football; and as a base for good sidetrips.

IMO your 4 nights is the minimum Liverpool deserves, but extra nights could be worthwhile dependent on what else you wish to see elsewhere from Liverpool.

Unfortunately, Nov is not a good month for visiting UK. Weather can be iffy or gloomy as or unpredictable weather head towards winter. The only certainty is that hours of daylight are noticeably reduced in Nov, which part of the month is your visit.

Please could you give a bit more info so that the 4 nights in Liverpool is in context of the whole trip, it influences best advice.

I'm hoping you will tell us that you are flying from US direct to Manchester , as it's so close to Liverpool , and also flying home from Manchester. That would give you most flexibility for visiting NW England.

If you happen to be flying into and from London , then you need a different plan. Your final night will need to be in central London or at a London airport hotel, so that would use up 1 of the spare 4 nights.

If you are flying into London, then I would consider a plan such as - 1 or 2 nights in central London first (various reasons, and yes I know you've been there already); train to York for 2 nights; train to Liverpool for 4 or 5 or 6 nights; train to London for the final night. And there are many other variations.

And bear in mind, that dependent on arrival plans from wherever, 4 nights in Liverpool equates to only 3 'full' days plus perhaps late afternoon and evening of arrival day.

PS - I've just spotted that two years ago you were planning to visit Liverpool after a cruise that ended in Southampton. Did that go ahead, or is this new trip instead of the one in July 2022, and is it train from Southampton.

great place to visit

This place is brilliant it has everything under one roof amusements,arcade, crazy golf, go karting, vr games and darts to name a few. There is a full bar so you can have a drink while playing. There is also food available. It is really well worth a visit

Had a very rare night off from the kids, so we started our Christmas night out here, soo much fun, go karts were the best, but bowling and crazy golf were fun too. Thank you for a great night 👌x
