Best to call, but have traveled on Caribe Tours many, many times and have never seen an animal. When I arrived in Samana in 1986, there was no Caribe Tour service. To go to Santo Domingo we went on former school buses imported from the US. Then there was no trouble taking an animal, or anything else. But, fortunately, those days are long past.

Well, I know the rule is "no pets" including cats, but I was just wondering if people thought it would be feasible to sneak on a cat in a duffle bag.

If you really don't want any problems, take a taxi. A bit pricey but no worries, no problems. Start checking prices now and you should find someone with a fairly reasonable price. The price of the taxi will save you a lot of possible grief.

money can talk for you Do whatever other people will do, take your time while people are boarding the bus dont be the first one and do not expose your cat like you got a trophy keep it in those especial cage that are small for cats or whatever you got to carry the pet. keep on eye on the guy who is loading the bus and just pass him 300 pesos all in bill of 100. But the problem is that the bus is not express. and other staff may see it at different station. Also try Transporte del Cibao, located in Parque Enriquillo the same station to take the bus to Higuey. for sure they will take it, i just dont know their schedule or phone number. wont be surprise if other animals are in the same bus

Wow, I had no idea that my friend was so fortunate in smuggling our TWO cats aboard a CaribeTour bus from Samana to Las Americas. As it happens, she did use a duffle, but her plan was to manage them and the luggage and her 86 year old step-father all at once and a single duffle was easier than handling the two soft-sided containers that the duffle concealed. Anyway, the cats are Swiss now...

27 Charcos de Damajagua (Es un recorrido de cascadas las cuales tienes que tirarte como si fuera un tobogán).

La gran peculiaridad de este lugar es que tienes que escalar cada una de estas cascadas, haciendo recorridos hasta llegar al final, para luego tiraros por sus rocas utilizándolas como toboganes en cada una de ellas.

DÓNDE SE ENCUENTRAN LOS 27 CHARCOS DE DAMAJAGUA

Las cascadas de Damajagua se encuentran a unos 36 Km en vehículo, unos 45 minutos de Puerto Plata . Es considerado este destino como una de las maravillas de la provincia de Puerto Plata, República Dominicana.

CÓMO LLEGAR A LOS 27 CHARCOS DE DAMAJAGUA

En Guagua: Desde la parada de Javilla situada en Puerto Plata, cogeras una guagua con dirección a Santiago de los caballeros, nota importante dile al conductor que te avise cuando llegues a la entrada de los 27 Charcos, el costo del trayecto es $40 pesos. 

QUÉ VISITAR EN LAS CASCADAS DE DAMAJAGUA O ALREDEDORES

Al llegar al lugar, los visitantes se percatan de encontrar que las Cascadas de Damajagua, se encuentran ubicadas dentro de la Finca de la familia Sención, en la misma propiedad podrás disfrutar la experiencia de encontrar una caseta donde venden artesanías y bebidas por parte de los dueños de la finca.

Esta excursión la puedes hacer organizada o por libre, la única diferencias es que si lo haces por libre el trayecto hasta la cascada, tienes que hacerlo por tu cuenta, el resto es organizado con guías del lugar.

También encontraras un sin fin de agencias de excursiones locales donde te ofrecen diferentes excursiones e actividades más divertidas de la zona, si visitas Puerto Plata, aparte de los 27 Charcos, no debes dejar de conocer, la Fortaleza de San Felipe, el Teleférico de Puerto Plata, Cayo Arena , Ocean World Adventure Park Puerto Plata y el Pico Isabel de Torres, entre otros.

El recorrido tiene 27 cascadas, ofrecen diferentes salidas y itinerarios cada uno con su precio y guía, deberás elegir cuantos saltos deseas hacer, e stos son los precios según el recorrido y saltos que desea uno hacer. En los precios esta incluido el chaleco salvavidas, el casco y el servicio de un guía preparado y formado para esta ocasión, que no debes dejas de realizar.

• 12 saltos cuesta 550 pesos
• 27 saltos cuesta 700 pesos  

El horario es de 8:30 AM. hasta 3:00 PM. todos los días.
