What are the Olympic lanes and will they remain open to general traffic?

The Olympic lanes are the lanes used by Paris 2024 service vehicles, emergency and security vehicles, and other authorized vehicles identified in the decree. They can be reserved and will be marked by road markings and signs. On the Paris ring road and motorways, this refers to a lane or section of lane reserved in each direction. The Olympic lanes are established by decree. The activation dates of these lanes and the control procedures will be announced by the Prefecture of Police .

More information on traffic conditions is available here .

Is Salon 24 accessible to someone with a disability?

Salon 24 has been designed to be an inclusive space open to all. A drop-off point is available at1 rue Saint Dominique, 75007 Paris. There will no be any dedicated parking.

Are there Hospitality and Travel Packages available for people with disabilities?

All our products have been designed to be accessible to people with disabilities. However, some locations might require specific adjustments. In such cases, our teams will be there to assist you, and an online form is available where you can specify your needs. Unless otherwise stated in the product description, the venue or activity is accessible.

What is the difference between Paris 2024 Ticketing and Paris 2024 Hospitality programs?

Tickets allow fans to attend one or more events during the Olympic Games and are sold stand-alone. They are only available through the official Paris 2024 ticketing website. Hospitality offers standard or customised packages that include guaranteed tickets, access to on-site hospitality venues, as well as travel, accommodation or other activities. These are only available through On Location and its Sub-Distributors network.

What is a Fan Kit?

A Fan Kit is an exclusive Paralympic Games hospitality product. It delivers access to the competition with guaranteed ticket, plus a festive hospitality experience with a gift bag before the event. More information regarding the Fan Kit will be released later.

People under the age of 16 will of course be able to attend the Paris 2024 Games, provided they are accompanied by an adult (+18 years old). Client Testimonials

We are a smaller airport but our pilots and their guests often require lodging. We rely on HTN to service their needs and they always come through for us.

We have smaller company travel needs and did not meet the minimums required by many other companies. The HTN team was not only willing to help, they made us feel like a valued client.

The service I have been provided by HTN and Michelle Siese has been absolutely amazing. Michelle goes out of her way to make sure everything goes smoothly by providing rates quickly, helping with hotels she didn’t even have any involvement in and offering to help in any other way she can. She responds to emails and calls very quickly and is very pleasant to work with. You can tell she truly appreciates her clients and their business, working with her has been a refreshing experience after a lot of bad experiences with other companies. I highly recommend Michelle and HTN, you won’t find any better!

I am so grateful for the HTN team. When our team qualified to the championship and we were scrambling for a place to stay the HTN team stepped in and saved the day. We will definitely be calling at the start of next season.

Our company services wind farms across the US. We can be in one town for months at a time waiting to conditions to be safe enough to climb the towers. Kelly has been great coordinating our changes needs.

Our company purchased a competitor earlier this year. Overnight we faced travel needs that we did not have prior. Kelly helped us to not only identify hotels in our new markets, but she also helped us to establish some corporate travel polices.

Is it possible for something to be more than perfect? Working with the HTN team on a hotel for my wedding guests so easy. They found the perfect hotel, everyone loved it. They even arranged for a special surprise to be in our honeymoon suite. I cannot thank them enough.

Hospitality in crisis: Desperate plea from another Auckland dining institution

Liam Dann

Vivace Restaurant and Bar owner Mandy Lusk has warned there is a risk of losing many much-loved Auckland establishments. Photo / Greg Bowker

In the wake of SPQR’s closure, the managing director of high-profile CBD restaurant Vivace has warned that the industry is in crisis and more closures are imminent.

In an open letter to the NZ Herald , Vivace’s Mandy Lusk delivers a sobering warning about the state of the sector in central Auckland and makes a plea for the public to support their favourite establishments through this downturn even if it is just for a quick drink or coffee.

With most operators working 80-hour weeks to stay afloat, there was little opportunity to push for new business, Lusk said.

She is hoping a new campaign – similar to a public initiative run during the pandemic – will help drive some much-needed short-term support for local bars and restaurants as they struggle to cope with the winter downturn.

High inflation and high interest rates have collided to hit consumer spending hard in the past few months.

Lusk was responding to the latest edition of the Inside Economics column, which highlighted the grim consumer spending data for the hospitality sector.

Electronic card data released by Stats NZ last Friday showed hospitality spending was down 0.5% for the month and 2.1% for the quarter.

ANZ’s card spending data is a subset of the total New Zealand figure based on the bank’s customers. But it represents a useful cross-section given it is the largest bank, and breaks down the figures in more detail.

It shows spending on restaurants and bars was down 6.3% year on year.

There were promising signs his week that inflation is coming back under control – the Consumer Price Index rose just 3.3% in the year to June – and there are growing expectations that the Official Cash Rate (OCR) will fall by November.

But for many operators juggling high costs, high debt and low cashflow, November still looks a long way off.

The full Vivace letter:

I am one of the many restaurants that may well head the way of the hundreds of others in our industry - last week it was SPQR, and I hear three are others closing in the next week.

If you ask the question of the Restaurant Association & Hospitality NZ there are hundreds more. No one really recovered from months of being forced to close, banned from trading and have zero income.

You mentioned in your article that people need to get out and support locals or they won’t be there which is totally correct. Most are living week to week. I was wondering if you might be prepared to help us.

During Covid, we were lucky enough to get help from the team at Lumo Digital to help set up a campaign “Have one for Hospo ‘’. Just asking people to pop out even if it is for a quick drink/coffee to help keep people’s businesses ticking over.

Lumo Digital has offered to help us again by reigniting that campaign while I try to get a new one going.

There are so very many of us who will not be here for much longer if we cannot entice people out to help support us - even if it is just one drink. There are many bigger businesses in various industries out there that are still doing ok, and some of them thrived over Covid, so are in a position to help smaller businesses should they choose to do so.

I am trying to get bigger businesses to “buddy up” to adopt a smaller business - even if they choose to do so just for a week or month. The aim is to encourage their customers and staff to support the particular small spot. Just networking on our behalf really as most of us are now working 80-hour weeks trying to save things, and not only do not have any time, but also lack the contacts to make new connections.

I see it very much as a self-help thing with ‘hospo’ businesses contacting all their customers and asking for their support - basically putting themselves up for adoption. It is then up to them to nurture that relationship.

I need help in getting the message out to corporate NZ that it would show great social responsibility to get behind what we are all trying to do and help the industry that was arguably the hardest hit by Covid policies. We were the first closed down each time, the last allowed to re-open, had the most stringent OSH rules when we were allowed to open, and unlike industries like tourism, zero grants were provided to assist us.

We are looking for the hand-up, not a handout.

We want to try and make the concept of adoption a good “warm fuzzy” quirky type of charity. It would be great if we could get it to a stage around the CBD where the big firms need to be seen to be supporting someone or look mean-spirited to their clients.

To be honest, it doesn’t even need to be a ‘hospo’ business as so many small businesses are failing in cities but my focus is on trying to save our industry.

Kindest regards,

Hotel Tech and Business Travel: Startups Raise $71 Million

Justin Dawes , Skift

July 14th, 2024 at 10:50 AM EDT

Five travel startups announced fundraises over the past week totaling more than $70 million.

Justin Dawes

Series: Startups This Week

Travel Startup Funding This Week

Each week we round up travel startups that have recently received or announced funding . Please email Travel Tech Reporter Justin Dawes at [email protected] if you have funding news.

Corporate travel, flying taxis, and hotel tech.

Those are three of the most well-funded travel sectors lately , and all three of them made an appearance in this week’s travel startup roundup. And a startup focusing on climate-friendly travel, another growing area, got some funding this week as well.

LimoLane: $38.2 Million

LimoLane , which provides chauffeur services for businesses, has raised $38.2 million (€35 million).

Cherry Bay Capital Group led the round.

Companies can book the LimoLane service for airport transfers, events, and private transport. The service comes with a software platform and app where clients can make bookings, monitor activity, and view financial summaries.

For corporate events, the company also manages hotel bookings and other trip details.

The company says it has managed mobility services for Milan Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week.

The Italy-based company says the service is available in many of the world’s largest cities, including New York City, Madrid, Berlin, and Dubai. The company has more than 2,000 clients.

The funding will go toward expanding business organically and via acquisition, the company said.

Volant Aviation Technology: $13.8 Million

Volant Aviation Technology , which is developing a flying taxi, has raised $13.8 million (100 million Chinese Yuan) in series A funding.

Legend Capital led the round.

The Shanghai-based company is developing an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to accommodate up to four passengers.

The funding will go toward test flights and further research and development.

The Hyoosik: $11.5 Million

The Hyoosik , which offers a hotel property management system and owns a hotel brand in South Korea, has raised $11.5 million in series B funding.

TS Frontier Proptech Fund led the round.

The Seoul-based company offers hotel tech for more than 1,100 hotels and owns a brand, called The Rest, with a portfolio of 170 hotels. The company is focused on the small- and medium-sized hotel market.

The company also offers hotel development and construction services.

Byway: $6.5 Million

Byway , which sells flight-free travel packages, has raised $6.5 million (£5 million) in an oversubscribed series A funding round.

Heartcore Capital led the round, with participation from Eka Ventures and a group of angel investors.

London-based Byway offers trip packages across Europe that include ground transportation only, no flights, while pushing sustainable travel as part of its speciality. Byway is a certified B Corp company.

Users can either select a pre-made travel package, or they can create their own through the website’s AI-powered trip planner. Packages include all transportation tickets and hotel bookings, along with AI-generated travel tips.

Besides strengthening tech, the funding will go toward hiring and expanding into new markets.

Centriti: $719,000

Centriti , which provides a platform where hospitality companies can order products, has raised $719,000 (60 million Indian rupees).

Emergent India Ventures led the round, with support from Alluvium Capital, Brigade Group, HOF, Venture Garage, CoralBay Ventures, and Atrium Angels.

India-based Centriti says it works with multiple vendors, meant to reduce the time it would normally take for hotels to manage individual vendor relationships. Top-selling products include gloves, cling wraps, and disposable paper containers.

The startup’s tech is used by 120 establishments, including hotels by Accor Group, Taj Hotels, and Oberoi Hotels.

Skift Cheat Sheet

Seed  capital is money used to start a business, often led by angel investors and friends or family.

Series A  financing is typically drawn from venture capitalists. The round aims to help a startup’s founders make sure that their product is something that customers truly want to buy.

Series B  financing is mainly about venture capitalist firms helping a company grow faster. These fundraising rounds can assist in recruiting skilled workers and developing cost-effective marketing.

Series C  financing is ordinarily about helping a company expand, such as through acquisitions. In addition to VCs, hedge funds, investment banks, and private equity firms often participate.

Series D, E, and, beyond  These mainly mature businesses and the funding round may help a company prepare to go public or be acquired. A variety of types of private investors might participate.
