Drake is coming. The rapper added 12 new dates to his It’s All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, his first stretch of shows in North America since the “Aubrey & the Three Migos” tour hit arenas in 2018.

The It’s All a Blur tour will kick off in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 29 and extend through Oct. 7 with a final show in Toronto, Ontario. Drake will make stops in Nashville, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, New York, Brooklyn, Montreal, Inglewood, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and more, bringing the tour to a massive 54 shows this summer.

The new set of dates includes a fourth night of shows in both Inglewood and Brooklyn, as well as second nights in Glendale and Nashville. Drake will now also perform on new dates in Columbus, Memphis, Denver, Austin, Milwaukee, and Charlotte. The tour will close out with back-to-back hometown shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

The tour announcement follows the reveal of J.Cole’s 2023 Dreamville Festival lineup, which features Drake as a headliner. Since his last tour, Drake has released two mixtapes – Care Package and Dark Lane Demo Tapes – and three studio albums, including 2021’s Certified Lover Boy , the 21 Savage-assisted Her Loss , and his dance music opus Honestly, Nevermind.

Drake adds Charlotte to 54-date North American tour

The tour kicks off June 29 in Memphis, Tenn. before wrapping its 54-date run in Toronto on Oct. 7.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Multiple Grammy-winning artist Drake is adding a Charlotte stop to his 2023 North American tour.

The “Hotline Bling” rapper announced Monday he’ll perform at the Spectrum Center on Friday, Sept. 22, as part of his “It’s All A Blur” tour.

Presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday through Cash App and Sprite . General sales will start on Friday, April 28, at 12 p.m.

Seven surprises from Drake’s ‘It’s All a Blur’ tour in Charlotte

Drake and 21 Savage were in Charlotte over the weekend for a two-day tour stop. Drake’s “It’s All a Blur” tour sold out both nights at the Spectrum Center and drew crowds by the thousands. Here are seven surprises from inside the show.

1. $10,000 for a fan

Midway through Drake’s first set, he mentioned a fan’s sign. The sign said that he had flown by himself from Colorado to see the show. Drake announced he would cover the fan’s cost to get back home and give him “ten racks” — ten thousand dollars — too.

2. J. Cole acknowledgment…but no surprise

It’s no secret that Drake and J. Cole have a bond of some sort; Drake co-headlined the Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, N.C., earlier this year. Drake even surprised fans at his Toronto show with a J. Cole appearance, leaving many N.C. fans hopeful for the same. When he opened the show in Charlotte Saturday night, he mentioned J. Cole — an N.C.-native first — and the arena went wild. Drake announced that he couldn’t do a show in Charlotte without acknowledging the N.C. rapper. Much to many fans’ disappointment, the surprise J. Cole performance they were hopeful for didn’t materialize.

3. New spins on old favorites

It’s undeniable that Drake’s career has been successful; he has many hits. The Canadian-born rapper has 294 Billboard Hot 100 hits, 12 number-one albums on the Billboard 200, and 11 number-one songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to time constraints, it would have been impossible to perform all of his fan favorites, but during a break from the main stage, Drake managed to take fans through a medley of a few of them — with a new sound. While his DJ played an Afrobeats-esque mix of songs like “Controlla,” “Passionfruit,” “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” and others, the crowd got to experience his hits in a new way.

4. Motivational speeches

Drake has never shied from expressing his emotions — he has quite a few ballads — and fans got to experience that during the show. More than once during the show, he acknowledged the grief or hardships fans might be experiencing and thanked them for taking a night to spend with him. At one point, he stopped performing and encouraged concertgoers to meet someone nearby to hug or “show love” somehow. At the show’s end, he reminded fans to choose their circles wisely and the importance of genuine connections. “Surround yourself with people that allow you to be yourself.”

5. A callback to CIAA

Charlotte’s hosting of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s basketball tournament over the years has drawn in many artists and celebrities, including an early-career Drake. During the show, he reflected on performing at parties during the conference many years ago. He said having a tour date in Charlotte at the Spectrum Center – with two sold-out shows — was a full circle moment from when he “performed [at CIAA parties] in front of like 500 people.”

6. Central Cee opened

There have been various openers and surprises on the tour. In other cities, Sexyy Redd, Lil Wayne and J. Cole have surprised fans and warmed up for the stage — or performed between sets — for Drake. At Charlotte’s show, British rapper Central Cee opened the show and performed some of his TikTok-viral hits like “Sprinter.”

7. Lights, fire and flying objects

Most rappers aren’t known for theatrics during their concerts, but Drake’s show incorporated elements that could “wow” many fans. Throughout the show, large objects — a paper plane, a ghost bride, the grim reaper and more — flew through the air and circled the stage. Lights displays changed throughout the night, keeping the centerstage fresh and illuminated, and a few times, fire came up from the stage’s middle and enhanced the show’s excitement.

Drake Adds 12 New North American 'It's All a Blur Tour' Dates

Including new cities and additional nights at sold-out venues..

Drake on Monday added a fresh slate of dates to his forthcoming It’s All a Blur Tour calendar, with several new destinations and a selection of additional shows at sold-out venues.

The tour, which features support from 21 Savage , will touch down in new cities including Toronto, Columbus, Memphis, Denver, Austin, Milwaukee and Charlotte. In addition to expanding his show locations, Drake pushed the tour’s commencement back to June 29, moving previously scheduled shows in New Orleans, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Miami and Atlanta to the end of his continent-wide excursion.

Drake, J. Cole team up for 2024 tour, but NC isn’t on the list

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( WBTV ) - Hip-hop superstars Drake and J. Cole announced they’ll team up for an upcoming 2024 tour.

The 6 God revealed the dates and locations for his ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ on Monday, but North Carolina isn’t on the list.

Shocking, to some, as Fayetteville’s own J. Cole is joining him.

Not to mention, Drake recently released “8am in Charlotte” as the lead single for his new album, “For All The Dogs.” Aside from the title, the Queen City is never referenced.

However, during Drake’s September concert at Spectrum Center, he announced his album, saying he and J. Cole were “gonna put something real special together for Charlotte.”

Drake is headed back out on the road next year. On Monday (Nov. 13), the 6 God revealed the dates for his upcoming 2024 U.S. run titled It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As the What?, which will feature support from J. Cole on most dates.

Every Artist With 100 or More Billboard Hot 100 Chart Hits

The artist announced 10 additional dates on Friday (Nov. 17), the same day that he dropped EP Scary Hours 3 . The newly added shows include second performances in San Antonio, Texas; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Tampa, Fla.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Cleveland, Ohio, among others.

The 2024 dates will follow on the heels of Drake’s recently completed It’s All A Blur tour, which found the rapper playing 50 sold-out arena dates across North American in the summer and fall in support of his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs . Tickets for the tour will be available starting with the Cash App card presale beginning on Wednesday (Nov. 15), followed by a general onsale beginning Friday (Nov. 17) starting at 11 a.m. local time here .

& Juliet has been performed on four continents since its World Premiere in September 2019. It began at  the Manchester Opera House in England, before moving to London’s West End, where it won three  Olivier Awards, and 6 WhatsOnStage Awards before playing its final performance at the Shaftesbury  Theatre in March 2023. The show had its North American premiere in July 2022 in Toronto, where it  broke box office records and played to standing-room-only audiences, before heading to Broadway,  where it again broke box office records and plays nightly to sold-out crowds at the Stephen Sondheim  Theatre. An Australian production of & Juliet premiered in February 2023 at Melbourne’s Regent  Theatre, a UK Tour (which opened earlier this month) and German production (October 2024). The  German production marks the show’s first production with a book translated into a different language,  and will also be the sixth country to welcome & Juliet in less than five years.
