After a successful first edition in 2022, the World Padel Tour (WPT) has returned to conquer the courts in one of the most vibrant cities in Europe: Amsterdam. SkyPadel: Breaking installation records

WPT Amsterdam is also witnessing a new achievement in the history of our padel courts. In less than 10 hours, we achieved the installation of the Full Panoramic court, setting a speed record in the preparation of a padel court for a tournament of this magnitude. This just goes to show our commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of padel.

WPT Amsterdam 2023 is underway!

The Decathlon Amsterdam Open 2023 has kicked off with the first matches of the promising a first-class sporting spectacle and plenty of excitement. The world’s top padel players will face each other on the Amsterdam, competing against their rivals and challenging the limits of their skills.

In addition, the tournament will be attended by the best Dutch players, who will have the opportunity to qualify for the main tournament through the qualifiers. World Padel Tour Amsterdam 2022

The Padel Tour is coming to the Netherlands for the first time. From 26 September to 2 October 2022. The best padel players on the planet will be battling it out for first prize in Amsterdam. Soon will be announce the first players.

The Timeless and Kroonenberg Group, the licence holders, are the ones who are bringing the tournament to the Netherlands for three years. Triple Double & Golazo Sports are organizing the tournament. 

As the tournament director, professional tennis player, John van Lottum, is the face of the World Padel Tour Amsterdam Open. He promises that the event, to be held in Amsterdam in the autumn, will add a new dimension to padel sport and attract even more fans. 

‘ It’s great that the whole of the Netherlands is going to get a taste of the biggest and most professional global padel circuit in the world, live in the flesh. The spectacle of this new and young sport will be felt in Amsterdam for seven days ,’ said tournament director John van Lottum.

Padel has been exploding in popularity across the world for many years now. More and more people are trying out the new sport and watching World Padel Tour matches. The World Padel Tour is not only the biggest tournament in the world, it also determines the professional padellers ranking.

Two venues will be used for the competitions. Matches will be held in Plaza Padel Amsterdam during the qualification rounds, and the finals will be held in the Central Market Hall in Amsterdam. Besides the padel matches, there will be various side events.

World padel tour has its official 2022 calendar.

Official calendar arrived

The official World Padel Tour calendar for the 2022 season has finally arrived in its entirety. The upcoming campaign will be the most international in World Padel Tour history, with 24 official events taking place in 13 different countries.

Five of those countries will host an Open for the very first time, and Sweden will host multiple tournaments for the first time as well with events in both Malmö and Stockholm.

Besides the Opens and Masters, there will be three Exhibitions in 2022 too across the globe.

2022 World Padel Tour calendar

This historic World Padel Tour season will kick-off in spectacular fashion. The Miami Padel Open will host the world's very best players in the heart of the famous city.

Besides the United States, the other hosting countries are Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark , Austria, France , Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Argentina, Mexico and a region in the Middle East that is to be confirmed.

For Belgium, Denmark, Austria, France and the Netherlands, it will be their debut as a host for an Open. In France's case, there have been Challengers held in the country, but this will be their bow as an Open host.

Sprinkled throughout 2022 are four exhibitions too in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and Finland.

From Miami from February 22nd to the Estrella Damm Master Final 2022 in Barcelona, we also have five Masters to fight out. The hosts are Marbella, Valladolid, Madrid, the Middle East and Buenos Aires. It will be the first time Stockholm will host an official event.

The countdown has officially begun now for the 2022 season. Which tournament are you most looking forward to?
