KK’s Priest and L.A. Guns Announce 2024 Tour

KK's Priest and L.A. Guns will team up for the Return of the Sinner tour in 2024 with additional support from Burning Witches.

The band, featuring former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing and vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens, will finally play its first U.S. concerts. 13 dates have been announced so far for the trek, which begins on Mar. 7 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida following their appearance on the annual Monsters of Rock Cruise. The tour is currently set to wrap up on Mar. 24 in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Ticket sales begin on Saturday (Dec. 16).

"It has been far too long," Downing said in a statement. "I am very excited to announce that KK's Priest will soon have the honor of playing our first ever shows in the USA starting March 7th 2024. Finally, KK's Priest metal is coming to my dear home away from home."

"We will be very proud to bring you the finest British steel from England — where the embryo of this beloved music was conceived so many years ago," he continued. "The sands of time have moved so quickly for us all, but I am sure we all feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of this nostalgic journey. I look forward to seeing everyone again — rest assured that it will be 'Blood and Thunder,' with 'Hellfire Thunderbolts' and much more. We promise to make history again together with you on this very special occasion."

How KK Downing and Tim 'Ripper' Owens Were Reunited

KK's Priest finally gave Downing the chance to work again with Owens. The pair first met when the Akron, Ohio-bred vocalist replaced Rob Halford as the lead singer in Judas Priest starting in the mid-90s . He made two albums with the British heavy metal legends, 1997's Jugulator and 2001's Demolition , exiting the lineup when Halford returned in 2003.

As Downing told UCR in 2021, it was like no time had passed. "I think his voice has just gotten better, really. Even though he always sounds fantastic," he said then. "He’s [very] versatile, you know, it’s not just the first two [Judas Priest] releases [he sang on] to go by. Obviously, we know he’s extremely versatile as a singer. It’s fantastic to work with him again. I love to hear him sing these songs. It’s a great fit and I’m very optimistic about the future. The band is real strong."

KK's Priest has released two albums to date, including 2023's The Sinner Rides Again .

KK'S PRIEST Announces First Leg Of 2024 USA Headline Tour

Former JUDAS PRIEST guitarist K.K. Downing 's new band KK'S PRIEST has announced its first-ever U.S. headlining tour.

The trek will kick off on March 7, 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will feature support from L.A. GUNS and BURNING WITCHES . The tour will be the first of at least a two-leg USA run of shows, planned to continue later in 2024.

Tickets for the KK'S PRIEST tour will go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Saturday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Check local venues or visit www.kkspriest.com to buy yours.

KK'S PRIEST made its live debut on July 6 at Downing's KK's Steel Mill in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

KK'S PRIEST kicked off a five-date "Priests, Killers & Witches" U.K. tour on October 7 at O2 Institute in Birmingham. Special guest on all dates was former IRON MAIDEN vocalist Paul Di'Anno who performed a full set of classics straight from the first two MAIDEN records, and opening up the bill was BURNING WITCHES .

KK'S PRIEST 's sophomore album, "The Sinner Rides Again" , came out in September via the Austrian label Napalm Records .

Joining Downing in KK'S PRIEST are former JUDAS PRIEST singer Tim "Ripper" Owens , as well as guitarist A.J. Mills ( HOSTILE ),bassist Tony Newton ( VOODOO SIX ) and drummer Sean Elg ( DEATHRIDERS , CAGE ).

The art for "The Sinner Rides Again" was created by talented artist Andy Pilkington .

K.K. formed KK'S PRIEST after JUDAS PRIEST turned down his offer to rejoin the band for their 50th-anniversary tour. It followed a couple of celebrated stage appearances, first with former MANOWAR guitarist Ross The Boss in the summer of 2019, then with a one-off lineup that included former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson and former PRIEST drummer Les Binks later that year.

KK'S PRIEST released its debut album, "Sermons Of The Sinner" , in October 2021 via Explorer1 Music Group / EX1 Records .

Downing spent four months writing and recording "Sermons Of The Sinner" and, along with new ideas, he even resurrected a few archived riffs from the 1980s.

Downing was reunited with JUDAS PRIEST for a performance at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony last November at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

PRIEST received the Musical Excellence Award at the event, which honored Eminem , Dolly Parton , DURAN DURAN , Lionel Richie , Pat Benatar , EURYTHMICS and Carly Simon in the Performers category.

Downing left PRIEST in 2011 amid claims of band conflict, shoddy management and declining quality of performance. He was replaced by Richie Faulkner , nearly three decades his junior.

In 2019, Downing said that he reached out to JUDAS PRIEST about taking part in the band's 50th-anniversary tour but that their response was that they were not interested in including him in the celebrations.

In 2018, Downing revealed that he sent two resignation letters to his bandmates when he decided to quit JUDAS PRIEST . The first was described as "a graceful exit note, implying a smooth retirement from music," while the second was "angrier, laying out all of his frustrations with specific parties."

Downing later said that he believed the second letter was "a key reason" he wasn't invited to rejoin PRIEST after Glenn Tipton 's decision to retire from touring.

Owens joined PRIEST in 1996 and recorded two studio albums with the band — 1997's "Jugulator" and 2001's "Demolition" — before PRIEST reunited with Rob Halford in 2003.

KK’s Priest, band formed by the former Judas Priest ‘s members K.K. Downing (Guitar) and Tim “Ripper” Owens (Vocals) announced 2024 tour dates in the United States alongside L.A. Guns and Burning Witches. The shows will happen next March and it’s called “Return Of The Sinner”, which is similar to the name of their most recent album “The Sinner Rides Again” released in 2023.

The band is formed by K.K. Downing, Tim “Ripper” Owens, A.J. Mills (Guitar), Tony Newton (Bass) and Sean Elg (Drums). It will be te first time the band will perform in the United States.

LA Priest Announces New EP, Shares Video for New Song “City Warm Heart”

LA Priest (aka England’s Sam Eastgate) has announced a new EP, La Fusion , and shared its first single, “City Warm Heart,” via a music video. La Fusion is due out May 3 via Domino. Check out the new single below, followed by the EP’s tracklist and cover artwork, as well as LA Priest’s upcoming tour dates.

“I wrote this song in the Costa Rican jungle as I pictured myself returning to tour the cities of the world again,” says Eastgate in a press release. “It’s sort of a mantra to face the outside world from somewhere like that.”

Joseph Bird Jr directed the video for “City Warm Heart.” Eastgate had this to say about it in the press release: “I thought it would be nice to show a bit of my recording set up and the way I record a song. This video is really exactly what I did while making this song recreated as well as I could so it’s more of an honest video than my usual sort of thing.”

The EP is the follow up to his 2023 album, Fase Luna and 2020’s GENE . In 2016 Eastgate teamed up with New Zealand’s Connan Mockasin to form Soft Hair and release their self-titled debut . Eastgate was also formerly in Late of the Pier.

The new EP was written towards the tail-end of Eastgate’s time living in the Costa Rican jungle, which is where he wrote most of Fase Luna , and was recorded once he returned to society, to Wales. He recorded it in a studio in his garden shed.

“You cannot blend fusion with something else,” Eastgate says. “Fusion itself is the blending of realities. These are ideas I couldn’t have recorded in the jungle. Maybe they are metropolis songs. I took ideas written outside looking inward and finished them inside thinking outward.”

LA Priest announces new EP 'La Fusion' - out May 3rd

Following the release of his acclaimed third studio album, Fase Luna , last year, LA Priest, aka Sam Eastgate, today announces his new EP, La Fusion – due out 3rd May via Domino .

Alongside the announcement today he releases “City Warm Heart”; laced with LA Priest’s trademark groove and mixed by French touch powerhouse Alan Braxe, the track is filled with a warm optimism for the future whilst possessing a nostalgic longing to return to the escapism of the jungle. “I wrote this song in the Costa Rican jungle as I pictured myself returning to tour the cities of the world again,” says Sam. “It’s sort of a mantra to face the outside world from somewhere like that.”

Directed by “Beginning” video collaborator Joseph Bird Jr, the video for “City Warm Heart” sees Sam set his stage in a beautiful evergreen and, at times, ethereal forest. “ I thought it would be nice to show a bit of my recording set up and the way I record a song,” he explains. “This video is really exactly what I did while making this song recreated as well as I could so it’s more of an honest video than my usual sort of thing.”

Variously known as Sam Dust, LA Priest and L.A. Priest, Eastgate has built a reputation as a subversive, unpredictable musician, consistently innovating over the course of his work with his now defunct breakout band Late Of The Pier , his cherished Soft Hair collaboration with Connan Mockasin as well as his solo work under LA Priest. As well as releasing his acclaimed album Fase Luna last year which was labelled by MOJO as “a loose, hazy treat”, he also completed a successful string of UK and EU dates plus supported BRIT award-winners Jungle, aka electronic producers J Lloyd and Tom McFarland, on their EU and US tour.

LA Priest will be taking the joyous sounds of La Fusion on a UK and European tour this May and June which includes a date at London ’s Number 90 Live  on 6th June. Tickets on sale now from here.

WWE European Tour Round-Up: Blockbuster Events Held in Italy, Austria & France

T he latest European tour of WWE saw events held in three different countries as the promotion continues to embraces its appeal outside of the U.S. 

The tour, which came mere weeks after a recent tour of the United Kingdom, was part of the promotion's buzz surrounding WWE Backlash: France, the first Premium Live Event in the country's history. 

WWE in Bologna, Italy

The first night of the tour saw the Superstars travel to Italy. The show saw several highlights, including Solo Sikoa break a 41-match losing streak. The former NXT North American Champion teamed with Tama Tonga to defeat Randy Orton & Kevin Owens in what was also Tonga's WWE in-ring debut. After the show's main event, Undisputed WWE Cody Rhodes said he hopes to bring a WWE TV taping to the country. 

The results for the show were as follows:

WWE in Vienna, Austria

WWE's next stop on the tour saw the promotion come to Vienna, Austria. This was WWE's first event in the nation since 2019 and unsurprisingly, GUNTHER received a hero's welcome in his homeland.

WWE SmackDown in France

The penultimate stop on the tour saw WWE finally arrive in Lyon, France for the May 3, episode of WWE SmackDown. This was WWE's first TV taping in the nation's history and saw the Superstars seek to build momentum towards WWE Backlash.

• AOP (with Karrion Kross and Scarlett) def. New Catch Republic

WWE Backlash France

WWE's tour culminated with Backlash France , the first PLE of its kind in the country. Given the raucous ovation the night prior, expectations were high for the show and once again the WWE Universe inside the LDLC Arena delivered. The show saw surprises and title matches with the WWE Women's Tag Titles changing hands. 

The results of the show were as follows:

• The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga) (with Paul Heyman) def. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton
• Bayley (c) defeated Naomi and Tiffany Stratton (WWE Women's Championship)
• Damian Priest (c) defeated Jey Uso (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
• Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) (WWE Women's Tag Team Championship)
• Cody Rhodes (c) defeated AJ Styles (Undisputed WWE Championship)

WWE's recent tour has proven to be a hit with audiences as the promotion continues to lean into the 'World' aspect of its name. With Triple H teasing a broadcast event in Italy during the post-Backlash press conference and with PLEs in Europe already announced, expect much more from WWE outside North America.
