Here’s how to book your dream Disney World vacation with Costco Travel:

Online booking process

Browse through the available vacation packages, and let your inner child take the lead in choosing the perfect option for your family. Just remember, the wand chooses the wizard, and the vacation package chooses the traveler!

Customizing the package based on preferences and budget

Your Disney World experience should be as unique as Cinderella’s glass slipper.

When you Costco Travel, you can customize your vacation package to include the number of park days, Park Hopper options, dining plans, and more. Whether you’re looking to splurge on a royal banquet or save your gold coins for souvenirs, there’s a package that’ll fit your budget like a glove.

And if you need a little help deciding, don’t worry – the helpful Costco Travel agents are like fairy godmothers, ready to make your Disney dreams come true!

Managing Your Disney World Experience with Costco Travel

Creating a disney profile.

Once you’ve booked your spellbinding vacation, it’s time to add a touch of magic to your planning process!

  • Importance of linking Resort Room and Ticket Reservations : Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Creating a Disney profile at www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com will help you keep track of all your enchanting plans. Linking your Resort Room and Ticket Reservations using the Walt Disney World Ticket confirmation number from your Costco Travel documents is essential. This ensures that your Disney adventure is as smooth as a magic carpet ride, with all your reservations and experiences in one convenient place.
  • Managing Park reservations and other experiences : Your Disney profile is like a magical map guiding you through the realm of Disney World. It allows you to make Park reservations (a must for entering the parks), book dining experiences, and even reserve spots for popular attractions using Disney Genie+. Make the most of your Disney profile to create a tailor-made adventure that would impress even Tinker Bell.

Additional benefits of purchasing a Costco Travel package

As if a Costco Travel Disney World package wasn’t already a treasure trove of pixie dust, there are even more benefits to make your journey truly enchanting:

Complimentary parking at Disney parks and Disney Springs

Forget searching for a parking spot like it’s a hidden treasure; with a Costco Travel package, you’ll enjoy complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.

It’s like having your very own magic carpet, ready to whisk you away to your next adventure.

Tax-inclusive pricing

Say “Hakuna Matata” to calculating taxes!

Costco Disney World packages come with tax-inclusive pricing, so there are no surprise fees when you check out. You can focus on enjoying your magical vacation without worrying about pesky tax math.

Occasional In-Store Disney World Ticket Offers

While most Disney World tickets at Costco come as part of their magical vacation packages, every once in a blue moon, a fairy might sprinkle some extra pixie dust on the aisles of your local Costco warehouse.

In these rare instances, non-vacation package Disney World tickets might become available at Costco stores, giving you the chance to grab a golden ticket without having to book an entire vacation package.

The rarity and unannounced nature of these offers

Much like a surprise visit from your Fairy Godmother, these in-store Disney World ticket offers are quite rare and often unannounced.

They’re like hidden Mickeys, popping up when you least expect them!

Because of their elusive nature, it can be difficult to rely on these offers for your Disney World vacation planning.

So, if you’re hoping to score a magical Disney World ticket deal without booking a vacation package, you might need a sprinkle of luck and perfect timing.

However, for a more reliable and enchanting experience, booking a vacation package through Costco Travel will ensure you get the royal treatment you deserve on your Disney World adventure!

Disney World tickets at Costco compared with other discount ticket options

In the realm of Disney World ticket deals, there are other magical creatures besides Costco Travel offering discounts and special offers.

Let’s take a peek into their enchanted forests and see how they compare.

Undercover Tourist

Undercover Tourist is like a stealthy ninja in the world of theme park discounts.

They offer discounted Disney World tickets that are sometimes even more generous than AAA offerings, and they’re available to everyone. A trusted partner of Disney, Undercover Tourist is known for making ticket deals appear like magic for both members and non-members alike.

AAA is another enchanted creature in the Disney World ticket discount realm .

As a member-based organization, AAA offers exclusive discounts on Disney World tickets for its members.

However, these discounts can vary, so it’s always a good idea to check with your local AAA branch for the most up-to-date offers.

Pros and cons of purchasing Disney World tickets at Costco vs. other discount providers

Costco Travel :

  • Exclusive vacation packages tailored for Costco members.
  • Bundled accommodations, park tickets, and additional perks for a seamless experience.
  • Complimentary parking at Disney parks and Disney Springs.
  • Tax-inclusive pricing.
  • Individual Disney World tickets are not available for purchase; only vacation packages are offered.
  • Rare and unannounced in-store ticket offers may not be reliable for vacation planning.

Undercover Tourist and AAA :

  • Offer individual Disney World tickets without the need for a vacation package.
  • Undercover Tourist discounts are available to everyone, not just members.
  • AAA offers exclusive member discounts on Disney World tickets.
  • May not provide the same bundled vacation package experience as Costco Travel.
  • Discounts can vary, so it’s essential to check for the most up-to-date offers.

Choosing the best discount ticket option for your Disney World adventure depends on your personal preferences and needs.

If you’re a Costco member looking for a complete vacation package with added benefits, Costco Travel might be your fairy tale come true.

On the other hand, if you’re seeking individual ticket discounts without the commitment of a full vacation package, Undercover Tourist and AAA might be your magical key to the kingdom.

4 Pros and Cons of Booking Disney Travel With Costco

From Disney gift cards to free parking and shop cards to be used at Costco, here are the perks that come with booking Disney vacations through Costco.

A Disney vacation can be a truly memorable experience for your children, but it's certainly not one of the most budget-friendly family adventures you'll ever embark on. Thankfully, there are ways to make this type of vacation slightly more affordable (or at least more value-oriented.)

Among the options is booking your family's Disney vacation through Costco Travel, a division of the big-box wholesale store. Costco Travel Assistant Vice President Chris Hendrix tells Parents that the company aims to offer convenient, one-stop shopping for all Disney travel needs.

To that end, Costco Travel offers vacation packages to Walt Disney World and Disneyland that include both hotels and tickets. Costco Travel also arranges packages to Disney's luxe Aulani Resort in Hawaii, as well as guided vacations with Adventures by Disney, and getaways with Disney Cruise Line.

Those who have gone the Costco route before likely already know there are a variety of perks for Costco members who book their Disney travel through the wholesale club—including receiving special savings on various incidental costs associated with a Disney visit as well as a few special value-added features thrown in by the discount giant.

"Booking a Disney vacation package through Costco can come with some great benefits including breakfast, resort credits, upgrades, and waived resort fees depending on the hotel you chose," says Chris Hassan, a family travel writer for UpgradedPoints. "This can represent huge savings for a family over the course of a week."

However, there are some considerations you should make before booking. Here are the pros and cons of booking a Disney vacation with Costco.

4 Pros of a Disney Vacation with Costco

1. you can score free disney gift cards.

One of the most frequently cited perks associated with booking Disneyland Resort packages through Costco are the gift cards that Costco throws in as a special added benefit for members.

Here's how it works, according to Costco: Members who book a multi-day vacation package at a Disneyland onsite resort receive a Disney gift card for up to $245 (one per package—exact value depends on the length of vacation booked). The gift card can be used to pay for Disney shopping and dining, including the wildly popular character dining. This perk even extends to those who book stays at some offsite hotels, or "Good Neighbor" hotels, as Costco calls them. Members who book a multi-day package at a Good Neighbor hotel receive a $145 Disney gift card .

"The Disney gift cards with Costco packages are a great way of helping you splurge on your trip, allowing you to do something you wouldn't normally want to budget for. Perhaps that means buying a special souvenir or maybe giving you the chance to book a character meal," Kimberly Tate, founder of Stuffed Suitcase and also the Vacation Mavens podcast, tells Parents.

Costco members can also receive extra savings at select Downtown Disney District dining and shopping locations, says Hendrix.

2. Other trips = Disney shop cards

Slightly different than the gift cards, Costco provides shop cards to those who book vacations through Costco Travel for Aulani, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney. The exact amount of the card varies based upon the trip booked and the length of stay (or sailing). The value of the shop card is calculated during the booking process, Michelle Rupp, a buyer for Costco Travel tells Parents.

"The card is sent to the Costco members about 2 to 4 weeks after they return from their vacation or cruise and may be used toward merchandise or gas at any Costco warehouse throughout the United States or Canada," says Rupp.

3. Enjoy complimentary parking

All of Costco's Walt Disney World Resort on-site packages include complimentary parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks and at Disney Springs.

"We have also negotiated with some of the off-site hotels to include in our packages complimentary parking at the hotel," says Rupp. Examples on this front include Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Melia Orlando Celebration, and Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas, to name a few.

" This can save you money if you're planning to drive to the parks instead of using the resort transportation," says Tate.

4. Nab discounts by bundling

For both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, packages booked through Costco include both hotel accommodations and park tickets. Combining these items together provides booking convenience for travelers and additional savings, says Costco's Rupp.

"Regardless of the type of [park entrance] ticket included in the package, Costco members receive extra savings on the bundled package…The longer the admission days of the tickets (up to 10 days), the deeper the discount," explains Rupp.

4 Cons to Consider

Summer Hull, editorial director for The Points Guy, says booking Disney vacations through Costco Travel can definitely be cheaper than booking elsewhere, but there are limitations to who might benefit. Here are some potential drawbacks to consider.

1. Short trips may not benefit

"I've seen Disney vacations booked through Costco Travel be as much as $1,000 cheaper— even for a medium-priced fam vacation to Disney, " Hull tells Parents. "The catch is you can only book stays three days or longer with them. So, if you're going for just a weekend, it doesn't work."

2. You may lose some direct Disney access

Hull says that booking a Disney vacation through a third party can sometimes complicate life when there's a problem or issue that needs to be addressed.

"Sometimes Disney is not able to help as much when you're adding a third-party player to that equation," continues Hull, who says that if she's not booking a vacation directly with Disney, she generally opts for a vacation planner that specializes in Disney such as Mouse Counselors .

Disney vacation planners will do everything from getting you dining reservations to waking up early to book Disney fast passes for you—so that you can simply relax and enjoy your getaway. The beauty of this type of service is that it doesn't cost you a dime. Planners work on commission and are not paid by the person booking the vacation.

"They eliminate a lot of hassle," explains Hull. "There are a million of these planners out there, and typically none of them add any additional cost. They wake up early and handle all of those annoying things you don't want to deal with. And if my plans change for some reason, they will be the ones on hold with Disney, not me."

Still, adds Hull, for someone who's simply chasing the cheapest option for a Disney visit and who is also visiting (or sailing) for at least three days, Costco can certainly be worth it.

3. There could be airline limitations

One last drawback to consider is that Costco does not work with every airline, so if you prefer to fly certain carriers (such as JetBlue or Spirit), you may be out of luck, says Hassan, of UpgradedPoints. And, as always, when booking through a travel agency, you won't earn any points or elite nights for your hotel stays.

The bottom line? If you plan to make the most of all the perks offered by Costco, it can definitely be a solid option for busy families who are seeking to save money.

"Just be sure to look at the included benefits carefully—and make sure that you will be able to use them," says Hassan.

4. You need to be a Costco member

Last, but not least, you will need a Costco membership in order to book any sort of travel through Costo. A basic membership is $60/year, while an executive membership is $120. Once you're a Costco member, however, you can use your membership to shop both in-store and online and even earn rewards points on booked travel if you get a Costco card too.

Are Costco Travel Disney World Vacation Packages Worth It?

Sparkly nicole.

  • February 3, 2024

These days, Disney World vacations are pretty pricey. To pay the lowest rate, shopping around for deals may be your best bet. There are a few different ways to book a Disney trip. Many work with an Authorized Disney Travel Planner. They are fee free, help with planning details and make sure you don’t miss out on deals. Others enjoy the planning process and do it all themselves. Everything is different if you’re a Florida resident or visit often enough to purchase an annual pass. For those looking to book a vacation package including things like a hotel room and tickets, that can be done on the Disney website or other places like through Costco. Can Costco Travel Disney World vacation packages actually save you money? It turns out Costco has much more to offer than bulk goods!

Costco Travel Disney World Vacation Packages

First, a little bit about Costco Travel . Costco is a wholesale store where you must have a paid membership in order to shop. The travel program is offered as another service to Costco members. You do need to provide a valid membership number and last name in order to use Costco Travel. Members can visit CostcoTravel.com to price out and book vacation packages. Online, Costco offers travel packages and has a Theme Parks & Specialty genre. This includes the amazing hotels and theme parks in Orlando, Florida but other destinations as well.

What’s included with Disney vacation packages through Costco Travel? Does Costco sell Disney tickets?

There are a lot of options when planning a Disney World vacation through Costco online. You’ll have the option to choose from flights, roundtrip airport transportation between the Orlando airport and Walt Disney World Resort, a rental car, hotels including Walt Disney World Resort hotels or popular neighboring hotels, theme park tickets to Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort parks and additional activities like excursions to the beach.

Not shown on Costco Travel is the Disney Dining Plan. This returned in 2024. The dining plan may or may not be the most economic choice for you. It depends on how and where you like to eat on your Disney trips. It doesn’t seem like you would be able to add the dining plan on through Disney after.

Also not an option with Costco is Memory Maker. This is the photo package offered at Disney. You should be able to add that on later if you choose to.

Is Costco Travel a Good Deal for Disney World?

Let’s price out a trip for two people to see if Costco Travel provides better prices on Disney World vacation packages. Prices vary greatly depending on your selections.

The resort I selected is a deluxe level property, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.

The room style is the Deluxe Savanna-View Studio.

I selected five day theme park tickets with the park hopper option added for both travelers.

With those specifications and for the dates of September 14th through the 19th of 2024, the price through Costco Travel is $4,546.00.

To my surprise, Costco Travel does offer a better rate when compared to the very same vacation package on the Disney website. Through the Disney website at the exact same time for this same resort and these tickets for two people, the price is $5,043.36.

Overall, that’s a savings of $497.36 on this Disney trip with Costco Travel.

This not the first time we have seen Costco Travel offer decent savings like this. A few years prior, a November vacation of the same length with the same ticket type but at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort had a savings $307.47!

Mears Connect savings with Costco Travel

Though transport to and from the airport is not part of the total above, it’s also worth booking through Costco. Through Costco Travel, it would cost an additional $58.21 for two for Mears roundtrip airport transportation to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Even this is cheaper with Costco. If booked separately through Mears Connect, this would cost $ 67.20 total for two people.

Are Costco Disney vacations worth it?

With a Costco membership starting at $60.00, it makes sense to look into it. You can price out a Disney Costco trip online before joining. If you’re already a member, it’s definitely worth pricing out your Disney trip and comparing it to Disney’s website.

Remember that vacation prices may go up and down as Disney has dynamic pricing based on demand. If you try to price this same trip out, the resulting cost may be higher or lower based on availability or rate changes. Prices vary greatly if you change the resort, number of days, time of year or amount of people in your travel party. For a true comparison, keep all of your trip details the same when comparing Costco Travel and the Disney World website in search of savings. Based on our research, it is worth it to join Costco for the Disney vacation package deals.

More Disney World Trip Costs to Consider

Other costs not included in this vacation package are special ticketed events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

You may also choose to rent a car but it’s not necessary. Remember Walt Disney World Resort provides complimentary transportation around the property, to and from the parks and Disney Springs by way of bus, boat, monorail and Skyliner.

There are additional paid add ons to consider like the FastPass+ replacement Disney Genie+. This can cost $15 to $35 per person, per day. The price of Disney Genie+ depends on the day and the park.

This package also doesn’t include any dining so that’s another part of the Disney vacation cost to consider.

Should you buy your Disney tickets at Costco?

If you’re a Costco member, you already get all kinds of great ticket deals for movies, local attractions and more. But what about Costco Disney tickets?

Should you buy passes for Disney World or Disneyland at a discount inside your local warehouse club?

Costco Disney tickets: Fact or fiction?

Despite what many people believe to the contrary, you can’t purchase individual tickets to Disney Parks at Costco stores.

By some accounts , the warehouse club stopped selling those standalone tickets in 2016.

But Costco Travel does sell Disney vacation packages that come bundled with park tickets.

In some cases, that may be a deal. But that’s not always the case, as we found…

Costco Travel’s Disney vacation packages vs. Disney’s prices

We pulled price quotes for a stay at several Disney Resorts in Orlando, Fla., booked directly through the Disney website and compared them to what Costco Travel offers.

The quotes below include 5-Day Disney Theme Park Tickets with Park Hopper Option for two adults and two children.

* All quotes accurate as of April 19, 2019.

So, the takeaway is this: Costco Travel may give you an advantage when you’re looking to stay at a value resort inside the park and bundle tickets. But be sure you shop around if you’re looking to stay at a moderate or deluxe resort. Of course, your results may vary!

More options for discounted Disney tickets

Scoring cheap Disney tickets can be easier than you think.

A good first stop when you’re searching is this ticket calculator , which features admission deals from the following authorized Disney ticket discount wholesalers:

  • Park Savers
  • Reserve Direct
  • Undercover Tourist
  • Boardwalk Ticketing
  • Maple Leaf Tickets
  • Official Ticket Center

Beyond that, did you know that military personnel and families can get discounted lodging through ShadesofGreen.org ? This is a special program for our brave men and women in uniform offered in partnership with Disney. Other discounts on park admission, dining and transportation are available, too.

Finally, you can actually score free Disney tickets if you’re a member of the Disney Moms panel or a member of the press. Learn more about both opportunities here .

The Best Ways To Save When Booking Your Next Disney Cruise

F orget about the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride, if you want to elevate your Disney vacation to the next level, you can take a real Caribbean cruise aboard one of the Disney Cruise Line ships. Guests who visit the Bahamas or the Caribbean can also access Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. That's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of potential global destinations, too. In fact, if icebergs are your thing, Disney's Port Adventures partners even have a port of call in Alaska, where you can board the Hubbard Glacier Explorer and wind through an iceberg field for a couple of hours.

Depending on where you set sail and for how long, a Disney cruise can be cheaper, in some cases, than a Disneyland or  Disney World trip. It might not feel that way when you're paying one big amount upfront (after the requisite deposit), but the price of a cruise is generally all-inclusive. It even includes complimentary room service, 24 hours a day. At a Disney theme park, by contrast, a week at a deluxe resort hotel, plus park tickets, meals, and other add-ons, can sometimes total up to a higher cost than a week-long cruise would. If it's your first time going on a Disney cruise , or you're just looking to save on your next one, it helps to arm yourself with some money-saving tips beforehand. With that in mind, here's how you can get the best deals when booking on the Disney Cruise Line.

Book Through A Travel Agent

One Disney cruise tip you'll often hear is to book through a travel agent. The Disney Cruise Line does have special offers, such as discounts for Florida or Canada residents, or other limited-time deals on select sailings. However, when you book directly with Disney, it can be disorienting trying to make sense of all the different itineraries available through its fleet of six ships. The Caribbean region alone has options from 4 to 10 nights for the Western, Eastern, or Southern Caribbean, with multiple states and territories of departure.

Authorized Disney Vacation Planners like The Vacationeer and Small World Vacations can employ their expertise to help you narrow down your choices and get the lowest possible cruise fare. They're just two examples of well-known agencies that have reached Diamond Earmarked status, the highest level for an authorized planner (followed by Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze). Such agencies might be able to give you a fuller picture of the best deals, and they often come with the added benefit of an onboard credit.

A credit starting at $50 for a cruise of $1,000 or more might not seem like much, but fares aren't truly all-inclusive. Sure, the Cabanas buffet is free, but alcohol, gratuities, and certain other restaurants and activities (not to mention Wi-Fi service) all come at additional costs. The onboard credit helps cover these types of things. Currently, Costco members who book a Disney Cruise through Costco Travel can also get a $100 to $200 gift card.

Use A Cruise Search Engine

Travel agencies like the aforementioned Vacationeer and Small World Vacations advertise their services as free, so you shouldn't have to pay extra for your Disney cruise with them. For first-timers, it can be helpful to have someone walk you through the many decisions you'll need to make, like what kind of stateroom to book. However, if this isn't your first Disney cruise, you may prefer to eliminate the middleman and survey all the best booking options yourself. In that case, you can approach your cruise like you would if you were booking a flight or hotel through other third-party sites, like Priceline and Expedia.

Both those sites have their own dedicated Disney Cruise Line page where you can input a destination and dates and find deals, the same as you would for a non-Disney search. These sites are a good option if you already have some idea about where and when you want to go. Another specialty site, which works the same way and frequently comes recommended for Disney cruises, is Undercover Tourist . It offers an onboard credit, and its other big selling point is that it will apply its own discount to your fare. That's in addition to any built-in discounts Disney may be offering, like its reduced military rates.

Book Early And Watch For Last-Minute Stateroom Deals

While "book early" works as a general piece of travel advice, it's an especially good rule to follow with Disney resorts and cruises. This is because of the way the surge pricing system works. Like Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines, Disney tends to offer its best prices when an itinerary first becomes available. As the ship fills up with passengers, prices on the remaining cabins will go up to meet demand.

One way to get around this is by keeping an eye on Disney Cruise Line news via the official site . If you hear about a new itinerary, you can try to book it as soon as it goes on sale. Anyone who's already been on at least one Disney cruise should also be automatically enrolled as a Silver Member in Disney's cruise loyalty program, Castaway Club. Being a member allows you to book new cruises a day or more before the general public, depending on your membership level.

The flip side of booking early is deals that come along on last-minute staterooms with restricted fares. These non-refundable deals usually open up a few weeks or months before a cruise departs, and they require you to pay in full beforehand. Offsetting the price savings is the fact that your room will be assigned at the last minute based on availability. However, they'll guarantee you the room category you reserve or better, so you might even luck out and get an upgrade.

Book A Shorter, Off-Peak Season Cruise In An Inside Cabin

Disney has some European cruises, for instance, that sail for up to 11 or 12 days. However, these can cost upwards of $11,000 for two people. Again, a one-week Disney cruise might be cheaper than a one-week Disneyland or Disney World stay, but a 3- or 4-night cruise could give you an equally enjoyable experience without breaking the bank.

Since Disney cruises are family-friendly, they tend to be more in demand (and thereby, more expensive) when school is out. The same rules about steering clear of holiday breaks apply as much to the Disney Cruise Line as Disney theme parks. If you're looking to save, the best times of year  are January, February, May, October, and before or after Thanksgiving (but before Christmas and New Years). Just keep in mind that weather is also a factor in determining the off-peak cruise season. For that reason, you might want to avoid a cruise somewhere like Bermuda or the Bahamas during the month of September, when it's the height of hurricane season.

Consider, also, what type of stateroom you book. Disney is not so different from other cruise lines when it comes to inside cabins being cheaper. With an inside cabin, you won't have a window, but on two ships — the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy — you will have a "magical porthole." It's a flat-screen monitor with a live camera feed of the outside of the ship. Sometimes, Disney characters join the feed.

BYO Alcohol And Book A Second Cruise While Onboard

Once you know which Disney cruise is right for you , there are other things you can do to save money onboard. This includes being frugal about add-ons and bringing your own alcohol. That's right: passengers are allowed to carry on up to six 12-ounce beers or two 750-milliliter wine or champagne bottles (unopened). If you're on one of Disney's round-trip cruises from Australia or New Zealand, you can bring that much onboard for each port of call.

This could help reduce your bar tab if you plan on drinking. The only catch is that you can't bring your own alcohol into public lounges, and there's a $26 corking fee if you bring a bottle to dinner. With a standard verandah-type stateroom, though, you can always just enjoy sipping your beverage on your balcony.

If your Disney cruise turns out to be an experience worth repeating, one final thing you can do to save on a future trip is reserve your next cruise while you're still onboard the current one. The Disney Cruise Line Navigator app gives access to a special onboard booking offer where you can make an open-ended "placeholder reservation" for another cruise within the next two years. You can choose a sail date later, and in the meantime, it will give you a 10% discount on the normal rate. Though you have to pay a $250 deposit, it's refundable if you decide to cancel before you've locked down a date.
