PUTRAJAYA, 1 MARCH 2019: In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020) campaign, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture is organizing a campaign logo competition. The 14-day competition from 11 to 24 March 2019 is open to all Malaysians aged 18 years and above.
The winner of the competition will walk away with a cash prize of RM3,000 along with a certificate while the first runner-up will receive RM2,000 in cash and a certificate, second runner-up will receive RM1,000 and a certificate and five consolation prize winners will each receive RM250 and a certificate.
The competition is part of the Ministry’s efforts to encourage Malaysian citizens to participate in the VM2020 campaign by contributing their creative ideas to the logo creation. The chosen logo design will then be used in the local and international promotion of VM2020.
The Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign logo is founded on Vision 2020 and focuses on promoting the sustainability of tourism, arts and culture.
The VM 2020 campaign logo shall depict the cultural aspects of Malaysia and integrate the existing Malaysia Truly Asia logo into the design. Each submission must include the logo design and design rationale, all of which have to reflect Malaysia’s diverse ecotourism attractions.
The campaign logo should be in English for ease of international promotions, while the rationale of the design is to be submitted in dual language, i.e. Bahasa Melayu and English.
Entrance into the competition is free, however each participant is limited to ONE submission only.
For further information on the competition, please visit www.tourism.gov.my, www.malaysia.travel and www.motac.gov.my.
