The Tourism Authority is a corporate body set up by the Tourism Authority Act 2006 to license, regulate and supervise activities related to the tourism and hospitality industry in Mauritius.
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the post of Tourism Enforcement Officer on permanent and pensionable establishment.

To amend the Tourism Authority Act 2006. This Act may be cited as the Tourism Authority (Amendment) Act 2008. "principal Act" means the Tourism Authority Act 2006. in its own discretion to a non-member. Section 8(2) of the principal Act is amended by deleting the figure "4" and replacing it by the figure "5".

The Tourism Authority is the Lead Partner of the Sustainable Island Mauritius project. Capacity building, trainings, workshop organisations, visibility actions, coaching and mentoring of tourism operators are among the activities undertaken to encourage the Tourism Value Chain to adopt the best sustainable practices.
This Act establishes the Tourism Authority of Mauritius as a body corporate and provides for its functions, powers and organization. The Tourism Authority. Established as a parastatal organisation under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism Authority is referred as the regulatory body of the tourism industry and is governed under the Tourism Authority Act 2006 (as subsequently amended). Its mandate is to promote sustainable development of the tourism industry.
