Here's another way to get yourself tickets for Taylor Swift's highly anticipated concert, The New Eras Tour.

Travel app Klook has been appointed as the official "experience partner" for its Singapore leg, which will take place at the prestigious Singapore National Stadium in March 2024.

This will be the Grammy award-winning singer's only stop in Southeast Asia, and it will happen on March 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9, 2024.

However, it's important to note that ticket purchases through Klook are subject to certain limitations.

Additionally, concert passes will be dispatched to ticket holders approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled show date, ensuring ample time for fans to prepare for the event.

NOTE: Klook customers can purchase a maximum of four tickets per person.

KLOOK EXPERIENCE PACKAGES

Klook's Experience Packages offer a combination of two concert tickets along with a one-night stay at a hotel.

According to Klook Singapore's General Manager Sarah Wan in a official statement on Thursday, July 6, 2023, the inclusion of hotel accommodations in their bundled ticket offerings will "revolutionize the way concert-goers plan and indulge in their entertainment experiences."

She added, "We see the potential of our platform in bridging a gap in the concert space and opening up doors for destinations to tap into music tourism."

Prices start at SGD542 (around PHP22,270) for a luxurious four-star hotel option, while those seeking the ultimate indulgence can opt for a five-star hotel experience starting at SGD716 (around PHP33,363).

There are 29 four-star hotel options, which include Hotel G Singapore, Village Hotel Sentosa, Furama Riverfront, Orchard Hotel Singapore, M Hotel Singapore, Mercure Singapore Bugis, M Social Singapore, Capri China Square, to name few.

Meanwhile, the five-star hotel options include Raffles Hotel, Fullerton Hotel Singapore, Carlton Hotel Singapore, Pan Pacific Singapore, Swissotel The Stamford, Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Andaz Singapore, and Fairmont Singapore, among others.

Online queuing for the Klook Experience Packages begins today, July 7, 2023, at 12 p.m. No UOB card or access code is required, but make sure to have a Ticketmaster account and the Klook app to purchase tickets.

You will need to provide your Ticketmaster email address on Klook's checkout page. This step is necessary because both platforms will verify if your Ticketmaster account has already reached the maximum limit of four tickets in previous sales, as the demand for tickets is exceptionally high.

If you have already purchased the maximum number of tickets, you will not be able to acquire additional tickets through the Klook Experience Packages.

Another note: Klook Experience Packages are only available via app and not on desktop website.

To ensure fairness and availability, each Klook user can purchase up to two Klook Experience Packages per account. Upon successful booking, expect a ticket confirmation email from Ticketmaster by September 15, 2023, and a hotel confirmation email from Klook by September 30, 2023.

Klook to offer packages for Taylor Swift concerts

SINGAPORE – For anxious Swifties looking for alternative ways to secure tickets, travel booking site Klook will be offering packages for the hotly anticipated Taylor Swift concerts to be held in March 2024.

Klook, the official experience partner of the American pop star’s The Eras Tour, announced on Tuesday that it has concert ticket bundles that include not only tickets to one of the six nights of the Singapore leg of the world tour, but also hotel stays and packages with activities and experiences.

While details of the packages and prices have not been released, Klook says they will go on sale on its app on July 7 at noon and will be limited to four for each customer.

Marina Bay Sands, the tour’s official presenting partner, had earlier announced its own separate set of exclusive packages, which also combine the concert experience with hotel stays.

There will be fringe activities at the integrated resort to complement the tour, although details on the packages and activities have not been announced.

The Eras Tour in Singapore will be held from March 2 to 4 and March 7 to 9 in 2024 at the National Stadium, the only stop in Asia outside of Japan.

Swift, 33, is completing the United States leg of her record-breaking tour, which kicked off in March in Arizona.

Ticket prices for her Singapore shows start at $108, with VIP packages also available. A pre-sale for UOB cardholders will start on July 5 at noon, while general sales open on July 7 at noon via Ticketmaster’s online platform and at all SingPost outlets.

With the final day of "The Great War" upon us, Swifties clamouring for tickets for Taylor Swift's Singapore shows in March have received a few lifelines.

First, Ticketmaster has announced that they will be releasing more seats  in three new categories with side or restricted views for all six shows. These are priced at S$88, S$108 and S$248. 

Second, at 12pm on Friday (Jul 7), travel platform Klook will sell their Experience Packages which come with two tickets to Taylor Swift's concert and a night's stay at a selected hotel.

Starting at S$542, there are two types of Experience Packages available: One with a night's stay at a four-star hotel and the other with a night's stay at a five-star hotel. 

Users can choose from various hotels including Furama Riverfront, Orchard Hotel Singapore, Raffles Hotel and Andaz Singapore.

To get in on this Klook app-only deal, you will need a Ticketmaster account. Once general sales start, you can select the concert ticket category and date you want, as well as your preferred hotel. 

Do note that each user can only purchase a maximum of four concert tickets, that is, two Experience Packages. For more details, check out Klook's page .

MANILA, Philippines – Southeast Asian Swifties are now waiting for the general sale of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Singapore.

Standby for the sale opens at 12 pm on Friday, July 7 – the same day as the release of Taylor’s version of her 2010 album Speak Now .

Filipino Swifties who wish to go to the Singapore leg of Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour may still try their chances with travel app Klook.

Klook, which has been tapped as the official "experience partner" for Swift's concerts at the National Stadium, is offering a package of two concert tickets and a room night in a hotel starting at 12 p.m. of July 7, Friday.

The package, which starts at SGD 542 (P22,000), includes VIP 1 to 6 and Cat 1 to 6 tickets, as well as a pick among 29 four-star hotels.

There's also a package worth SGD 716 (P29,000) for a stay at a five-star hotel among 20 picks.

Klook noted that concert tickets are capped at a maximum of four per user. This means a user can only purchase two packages at most.

To book, one should have the Klook mobile app first, available on iOS and Android.

Once in the app, they must select their preferred show date and concert ticket category. Klook noted that a Ticketmaster registered email account is required to receive the order confirmation.

"Do enter the correct email account on the checkout page in order to proceed," it said.

One should then choose their selected hotel property for their stay, and wait to receive booking confirmation upon successful booking.

Swift announced  The Eras Tour  in November last year, describing it as a journey through the musical eras of her career thus far. The  ongoing first leg  will run from March 18 to Aug. 5 at stadiums across the United States. It's set to conclude in August 2024.

Apple is launching a “Here’s to the Dreamers” campaign to spotlight artists and creative talents in Southeast Asia. The celebration of passion, creativity, and determination will manifest on the App Store, Apple Music, and Apple TV starting August 9.

On the App Store, people may try out ThoughtFull Chat, Potion Permit, WithU, and DreamChaser. These apps for Apple devices are all built by local indie developers in Southeast Asia who have defied odds.

ThoughtFull Chat is an app that connects people with mental health support in an easy, approachable, and accessible way. It’s the advocacy of Singapore’s Joan Low, who left her day job and devoted herself fulltime to the app.

The app allows those in need to find professionals and engage in text-based therapy. This therapy has proved to be clinically effective for improvements in stress, anxiety, and depression.

Meanwhile, Potion Permit is a charming simulation game from Indonesia-based MassHive Media, which is led by brother-sister duo Andika Pradana and Anggia Lestari. It follows the journey of a chemist in Moonbury. Curiously, the title is inspired by Pradana’s then-girlfriend, who happens to be a doctor.

Moreover,  WithU  offers heartwarming quotes and beautiful artwork created by talented Thai artists. It’s the project of Tyme Suteesopon and Sirin Thamakaison, which they developed as early as when they were still in high school.

Lastly,  DreamChaser   is a pixel-art endless runner game which made history as the first Vietnamese title of its kind. Phuc Pham and Hiep Tran are behind it, with the former dropping out of university to pursue game development professionally.

YouTube is getting its own Community Notes feature

Taking a page from X’s book

Amid the downpour of misinformation on social media today, one way to keep things in check is through X’s Community Notes. Ordinary users can factcheck posts themselves and tell others of any erroneous information. Now, YouTube is getting a similar feature for its users.

Via 9to5Google , YouTube has started issuing invitations for users to try the new feature for themselves. Much like X’s version, users can submit a note if they spot misleading information on a video.

Once submitted, other users can vote on the accuracy of the note. Approved notes will appear under the video’s title with timestamps.

YouTube doesn’t have a name for the feature yet. However, it’s clear that it’s meant to curb misinformation on the platform. The company is encouraging users to include sources along with their notes to help users verify the correction.

In today’s AI-inundated world, deepfakes remain a constant problem. While a lot of inaccurate posts thrive on the more traditional social media platforms, YouTube has its own problems.

The solution, of course, relies less on hired moderators but puts more control on users to call out erroneous posts. Since then, it’s become a meme whenever a popular post gets Community Notes.
