A new Tour has arrived in Mario Kart Tour, bringing with it some  awesome new content  and  even a new track!

The game is an awesome experience for rookie and veteran Mario Kart players alike.

Table of Contents

Mario kart tour free to play.

So, let’s take a closer look at the game, how you can play the game for free and the potential pay to win elements of the game!

Excitingly, and good news for Mario Kart fans, the game is free to play on mobile devices, meaning anyone can play it.

MK8 1 1

Players will be  able to add friends ,  play multiplayer races  as well as the career mode without having to pay a penny, and even unlock multiple characters.

This includes the various aspects of gameplay, multiple types of vehicles and a number of tracks are all available to players for free.

Unfortunately, much of the content in the game is held behind a pay wall. Firstly, the 200cc category is only available to those with the Gold Pass.

MK Tour Luigi 1

Likewise, those who have subscribed to the Pass can unlock gold items and challenges, providing them with more resources to upgrade their karts. It's here that the true pay-to-win features show themselves.

Obviously, players can grind out results to try and keep progressing, but this is incredibly slow. In fact, players with karts that have been upgraded more start races with a higher score. It's easy to see how players are persuaded to put money into the game!

The new tour landed today, and lasts until April 20th for all players of the game. This means there are two weeks for you to get playing and earn some big rewards.

This Tour, there are 255 total Grand Stars to collect in order to earn all the prizes, you’ll need to make sure you get racing.

This time, the Gold Pass offers some exciting incentives also, including 1,100 coins, 30 rubies, and 15 total item tickets over the free rewards.

DeNA and Nintendo have worked together to create a lot of new mobile games from Nintendo's original IPs, and Mario Kart Tour is one of the most successful projects from this collaboration. Designed from the ground up with mobile gaming in mind, this Mario Kart has features that no other version has had before.

Mario Kart Tour

Designed from the ground up to be a mobile experience, Mario Kart Tour has all the best and worst features of a mobile game. Still, it's Mario Kart!

Download from: App Store | Google Play

For those of you who may have never played video games in your life, Mario Kart is a racing game from Nintendo that features characters from its game franchises — mainly from the Super Mario games, but sometimes other characters too — who race around tracks in go-karts or motorbikes. For instance, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch also lets you play as Link from Zelda, Isabell from Animal Crossing, and Inklings from Splatoon.

The goal of these games, of course, is to win the races. You can collect power-ups along the way that will help you succeed against the other racers; some will hurt them and some will boost you.

What's the mobile gameplay like?

As you can see above, the mobile gameplay follows much the same format as the original game's gameplay for Switch. You hop in a kart, pick your favorite character, and go! Along the track you will be able to pick up items that can help you take down other characters or speed past them.

When Mario Kart Tour first launched as an iOS game and Android game, it only supported portrait mode, but an update has gone up since then that allows for horizontal screen viewing as well. The game visuals, while not mindblowing in any way are pleasant to look at and are clear enough to easily distinguish during races.  This means you can still see all of the action that's happening on the track with a frustrating camera view.

The game uses the auto acceleration of the latest Mario Kart games, meaning even if you do nothing, your kart will make it to the end of the race. The control comes from sliding your finger from left to right to steer and tapping the screen to fire your items.

Unfortunately, the game also uses an automatic control system for moving left and right too. That means if you try and cut corners, you are likely to be pulled back into place. So you'll need to get the hang of the controls to race effectively.

Drifting in Mario Kart Tour is at least one thing you can control. By holding your finger down as you turn, you can build up a drift. When you let go, you can give yourself a little boost in speed. In a game that has a lot of automation, being able to give yourself a boost in speed is extremely helpful. The players that master drifting are often the ones that finish in the lead.

Tilt Controls

Mario Kart Tour does have the ability to use your phone's gyroscope to control your direction, but it's a little strange. The action might feel awkward when your screen is at a tilted viewing angle, so you'll just need to decide the way to play that works best for you.

What is there to collect?

Mario Kart Tour Character select

In a word, lots. As you play you can collect coins to buy new racers , karts , and gliders . Each of them can also be randomly collected buy using the rubies you are awarded and that you can buy for real money. They are a lot of choices here but you don't have to spend real money to collect them if you are patient.

Most of the things you can collect can also be upgraded. As you play each race the driver, kart, and glider you use will level up very slowly using the XP awarded to you. You can get XP boost tickets as well. These are rewarded for completing challenges and can be purchased as well.

How do the items work?

Mario Kart Tour using items

Mario Kart Tour Items are as classic as the main gameplay itself. They allow you to help yourself and hinder others in a variety of ways. Some, like the Mushroom, help by increasing your speed, while others, like the Red Shell, will slow your enemies down to allow you to catch up.

Mario Kart Tour has some fun new ways to use Items as well including an exclusive Frenzy Mode to help maximize your bonuses.

Leveling up and getting more powerful

In order to level up, players must take advantage of level-boost tickets . Each kart, glider, and driver has a gauge that increases its skill level with the help of these tickets. You'll unlock more abilities and perks. Level-boost tickets are gained by racing or by paying for the Gold Pass.

The amount of items you can carry depends on the player you are using and the track you are playing on. Most of the smaller players have only one item slot while the bigger characters, like Donkey Kong, have two. This changes, however, if they are on a preferred track.

Do you know how a lot of the tracks look like they are connected to your characters? Well, in Mario Kart Tour they are. One of the tracks in the game is the Toad circuit from the 3DS, and it is the preferred track of both Toad and Toadette. Both these characters get three items on these tracks and get the ability to enter Frenzy mode.

All of the characters have at least one preferred track, and the characters you can buy for more money will have more, making them more likely to frenzy on other tracks.

Frenzy Mode

If you collect three of the same item on your preferred track, then you can enter Frenzy mode . Frenzy makes your racer invincible for a short period, increasing their speed and drifting skill, while also giving you an unlimited supply of the item you picked up.

This adds an element of tactics to which racer you choose on which tracks. Having a favorite racer may not work as well on Mario Kart Tour as on other games.

Are there Microtransactions?

Yes, there are microtransactions as is usually the case with modern mobile games. All of the characters and karts you can buy with real money can also be earned in the game with the in-game currency or microtransactions . However, it might take you a lot longer to unlock them the old-fashioned way.

Like DeNA's Pokémon game Pokémon Masters the game offers you a shortcut to buying characters you may want, rather than offering specials that can only be purchased with real money. This is great because it means all you need to do is grind to grab the characters you want.

See you on the track

Mario Kart Tour has been one of Nintendo's most successful iPhone games since it launched in 2019. While you can spend money in-game if you'd like, you don't have to pay to win and there's still plenty of fun to be had without ever opening your wallet.

The game not only offers more playable characters than any other Mario Kart game ever made but also provides several different outfits for each one. You can unlock these fun skins by racing or by paying for the Gold Pass.

Have fun tearing up the track and proving to players from around the world that you are the best Mario Kart racer out there. Remember that every player has their own skills and preferred tracks. Make use of the items you gather, drift when there's time to do so, and make use of Frenzy mode to get ahead.

Mario Kart Tour Beta Impressions – Pay to Win and Missed Opportunities

Image of Kyle Hanson

Nintendo has always been pretty reticent to release their bigger franchise on other platforms, especially mobile phones. That’s slowly been coming to an end as more and more big hitters arrive on Android and iOS devices. Mario Kart is the next to do so, with a closed beta that began on May 22nd and will run into June before the final game hits later in the Summer. While anything can change as it makes its way to full release, there’s enough here to get a good sense of the game. Here are my impressions of the Mario Kart Tour beta on Android.

Let’s get one thing out of the way first. Mario Kart Tour is a fun game that does a decent job of converting the MK experience to the mobile environment. The controls are a bit floaty, and their reliance on single touch mechanics makes for a less enjoyable game than it could have been. But from the first moments of learning the game to later ones after hours of practice, you’ll actually have a nice time with it. Mario Kart Tour will never become your favorite game in the series, and if you have a Switch with MK8 Deluxe available, you’ll definitely want to play it instead, but that’s not what it’s aiming to be. For what it tries to accomplish, it does it well, but with a ton of caveats.

This is a mobile game from start to finish. While other Nintendo efforts into this arena have subverted expectations in many ways, forgoing pay-to-win and other nefarious means of separating players from their cash, Mario Kart Tour goes all in. That means there’s Gacha mechanics by the truckload, and not for cosmetic things. How fast your kart goes and what sorts of items and powerups are available to it are directly tied to how much you’ve played the game, or how much money you pumped into it. So that’s tough to swallow, especially considering that there are so many other mobile game pet peeves mixed in.

This includes the aforementioned single touch controls. Mario Kart Tour can only be run in portrait mode. This works well, better than expected actually, but longtime players will surely miss landscape views with more robust controls. Currently you hold your finger on the screen to accelerate, moving it from side to side to turn and drift . The game could easily offer more traditional controls, though that might step too much on the main series for Nintendo to tolerate. Similarly, the multiplayer seems to be against ghosts rather than real players. Hopefully that changes though, as it doesn’t make a ton of sense at the moment.

Along with this there’s the usual time-locks, which includes leveling up your character and pretty much every part of their setup (kart, glider, etc.) as well as stamina. Mario Kart Tour offers players a set number of hearts which dictate how many races they can play through. These refill slowly on their own, or players can pay to get new ones immediately. Combine this with the game’s two separate currencies and you’re in for a smorgasbord of mobile game elements that turn many players off.

If you just want to dip in for some MK action from time to time, not investing in the economy or unlock structure, then Mario Kart Tour will likely never bother you too much and will instead offer a lot of fun. But for those seeking a more traditional gaming experience this game will be a bit of a shock. This is still the beta though and much can change on the way to full release. For those who want to avoid pay-to-win and Gacha mechanics, it’ll require a lot of work from Nintendo to make you happy.

Industry Experts Discuss Mario Kart Tour's Monetization Schemes

Mario Kart Tour is making less money than it should, so mobile game experts weighed in on what Nintendo did wrong with its microtransactions.

Now that Mario Kart Tour   has existed for a little while, informed opinions can start to come to light. The majority appear to be negative, criticizing Nintendo for adding an aggressive monetization package when even Apple and Google are moving beyond that. It's to the point where some wonder aloud if this is even a real Mario Kart game, as it can't even do Rainbow Road properly .

Still, many players loudly declare how much fun they're having. They bring out the usual insightful arguments like "I can win without spending a cent" and "if you don't like it, don't play." But what do mobile games experts have to say? Has Nintendo finally gone too far in its mobile mistakes?

RELATED:  Mario Kart Tour: How Monetization Works (Or Doesn’t)

Mobile gaming-focused website  PocketGamer.biz recently reported that Mario Kart Tour  brought in 90 million downloads in its first week. Despite that amazing number, however, it only got $13 million in revenue for that first week. PocketGamer recognizes that monthly subscribers got a free trial, lowering the number, but it still falls way short of what you'd expect with 90 million downloads. To explain what could be going wrong, PocketGamer consulted with several mobile gaming experts.

The first was Ben Cousins,  CEO  of  ISBIT Games. He pointed out what he thought were Nintendo's three major missteps. The biggest issue for him was the controls, although a close second was the decision to require a Nintendo account creation. He estimated that almost a third of potential players could be turned off by the instant commitment. On that note, he also calls out Tour 's monthly subscription. "There’s a hard barrier to subscription," he said, "at a price that makes little sense in terms of timing against Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass."

Next was Mikkel Celinder, owner of AppCrimes.com. He also hated the controls, but tacked on the thought that the gameplay and monetization don't compliment one another. Players upgrade karts and racers by playing. WIth that being true, why should one feel tempted to spend money to unlock new stuff? Because of this, Celinder said that "monetization seems like an add-on and not a part of the core game."

Tim Rachor,  Creative Director  at  Evil Grog Games GmbH, turned his thoughts to something else entirely. What happens when Mario Kart Tour gets multiplayer? He said: "After the initial push back to 'pay-to-win' by Nintendo, coining the term 'free-to-start', I wonder how a more aggressive monetization would be accepted in a competitive environment?"

Finally, there was Rob Dagwell. The  Head of Esports at Bidstack was more sympathetic towards Nintendo. He reminds readers that Nintendo tried a game with no in-app purchases with Super Mario Run.  And it failed. "With nostalgia comes expectation, he said, "and the level of expectation gamers had for Mario Kart and Super Mario was set by Nintendo."

All of them agreed that this isn't the end for Nintendo. The company's many titles can succeed on name alone. So even if The Legend of Zelda mobile makes you pay $10 a month just to use the Master Sword, there will still be plenty of fans there to say "if you don't like it, don't play."

Honestly amazing but one problem

This game is great for any Mario fan. I can imagine so many other mobile apps out there which have pretty much half of the content available from the main console or PC version. But this app changes it all. First off, Mario Kart is completely free, meaning that you don’t need to pay to play the game which is something everyone loves! There are also a vast variety of different cups to choose from, allowing hours of fun gameplay. The fact that Nintendo managed to fully incorporate the same character, glider and kart customisation is one of the most brilliant aspects of this app. So already a massive well done for all that! One new thing that has been introduced in this game that wasn’t actually in the previous console version is prize pods. Note that these are completely dependent on luck, so don’t expect anything too great, however, you can unlock all sorts of rewards from these-whether it be characters, gliders, or even karts! There also in app purchases which I would say are slightly over priced, but I don’t want to go into this since it isn’t that much big of a deal. The last point I want to mention is that you need to link a Nintendo account to play the game, and you need to pay £5 a month for multiplayer. This is obviously annoying since everyone would want to be able to play multiplayer without paying but this is the only flaw. Otherwise I highly recommend you download this game!

I just don’t get the hate anymore.

The hate was at least SOMEWHAT understandable when gacha pipes were still a thing but now it’s just unnecessary. The game has the most courses, characters, items, music, karts, gliders, missions, challenges, etc out of any Mario kart game. The characters are easy to access if you just get good (and not very good just below average good) No money is required to unlock most things and if it is then it will come back in a later tour and won’t require money. Battle mode is here now and so is multiplayer, Grand Prix mode and time trials. Reverse, trick and reverse trick variants of courses now exist and some remix courses. Many past game tracks have returned and some have higher resolution than mario kart 8 deluxe’s base game tracks (eg. Rainbow road 3ds) the new courses are amazing in both the music and the tracks. My personal favourites are Singapore speedway, Vancouver velocity, ninja hideaway, merry mountain, Berlin byways, Los Angeles laps, London loop, Bangkok rush, Sydney sprint, Amsterdam drift, Tokyo blur, New York minute, sky high sundae and Paris promenade. Not all new courses have even released yet. It is very easy to get everything in a tour and the only bad part is the controls which you get used to quickly if you play for two-three tours. Also, could you please add toad’s factory? I really miss that course from Wii. Thank you in advance.
When I first started playing Mario kart, didn’t much like it but came back to it and really got into and started to play it a lot. I’ve started over a few times as it’s fun to be a beginner again. Anyway since adding multiplayer my opinion is the games has lowered drastically😒 and for this reason only I have not given full marks. Firstly I understand that it’s a new part of the game and needs a bit of work done but it’s not always the easiest to win the races so to win and then through no fault of your own have the game crash etc on you (which happens quite a lot during multiplayer) it still takes off your points. Also why do I seem to be the only one in the races I’m in that I seen to receive all the rubbish items towards the ends of races?! It’s incredibly frustrating to not even be in with a chance of winning very many now that I’m on level D! And lastly why are some people hit with items and they clearly have nothing on the back of their karts yet seem to have the ability to spring quite a bit forward without even needing a seconds recovery?? Why do I feel like I drag all the way round but people seem to be bombing their way through every race? Please fix this quickly so I can get back to loving MARIO kart again🤞🏻

How to download and play Mario Kart Tour

The latest Nintendo mobile game starts its engines

mario kart tour is pay to win

Those of you looking for a quick fix of Nintendo magic have to look no further than Mario Kart Tour , which is now racing onto mobile.

Following the launches of Super Mario Run and Dr Mario - both simplified versions of the classic Nintendo franchises – Mario Kart Tour offers a way to race around classic Mario Kart tracks in those spare minutes on the bus, in the duller part of a meeting, or throughout all of your Tinder dates (we’ve seen you).

There have been countless Mario Kart titles across various Nintendo consoles, from the initial SNES title to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch . But for how to download and play Mario Kart Tour on iOS and Android, here’s everything you need to know.

  • How to download and play Super Mario Run

1. Check your phone (or tablet) can play it

mario kart tour is pay to win

Mario Kart Tour will run on iOS and Android smartphones or tablets, so the game won’t be exclusive to certain product ranges – as we saw with the timed exclusivity of Fortnite mobile on Samsung Galaxy phones .

The Mario Kart Tour website does however recommend “a device with 1.5 GB of RAM or more.”

2. Download the app

mario kart tour is pay to win

Pretty self-explanatory, but it will depend on your operating system and the device you’re playing on. For iPhones or iPads that run iOS, you’ll need to head to the App Store and search for the title. The full name is “Mario Kart Tour”, and it will be listed by “Nintendo Co., Ltd”, so make sure you don’t get caught out with any false apps or cackling malware . Android users will need to head to the Play Store instead – and all mobile users can pre-order / pre-register to get the game the moment it lands.

You’ll need some space on your phone for the actual app; Super Mario Run took up 205mb of data, so make sure you have enough to actually download the game in the first place.

Get daily insight, inspiration and deals in your inbox

Get the hottest deals available in your inbox plus news, reviews, opinion, analysis and more from the TechRadar team.

3. Link your Nintendo account, or create one

Once the app is downloaded, you’ll have to link up with your Nintendo account, which is something you’ll have if you’re already a Nintendo Switch owner, or had a Nintendo Wii or Wii U in your home. If this is your first foray into Nintendo – gasp – you’ll be taken through the steps, and will require a valid email address.

4. Beware of microtransactions

mario kart tour is pay to win

Like Super Mario Run, Mario Kart Tour is a free-to-play game, meaning there will be optional microtransactions for cosmetic or gameplay items available (characters, kart parts, etc). If you’re setting up an account for your child , or just don’t trust your own self-control, you can check out the iOS controls or Android controls for this.

5. Get a good internet connection

Nintendo usually ensures its mobile games require an internet connection to play – for security reasons – meaning you won’t be able to crack out a blue shell in the dark depths of the subway. Wi-Fi in a home, office, cafe, or similar will be best, though a decent 4G connection (or 5G !) out and about should do you just fine as well.

mario kart tour is pay to win

DualShockers

Mario kart tour seems to be pay-to-win, but remember it's still in beta.

Nintendo is deleting screenshots and footage of Mario Kart Mobile's beta as sharing those goes against its clauses.

The first beta test for Mario Kart Tour started today in Japan. Good old Dr. Serkan Toto published this tweet below, stating how the game seems to be pretty hardcore gacha wise, with players who'd put some money down getting a clear advantage. Of course, this is all subject to change, as it's a Beta Test.

I personally stumbled unto this tweet multiple hours after the beta began. I was reading all Japanese news sites, as usual, deciding what to cover. As such, I decided to give the Mario Kart Tour hashtag a look, but tweets with actual impressions on the monetization and screenshots of the game were seemingly all already deleted. As of now, most of the tweets on the hashtag are people talking about how said screenshots were deleted. There is very few info on the game itself, at least from the quick glance I took.

The most interesting piece of info is how Mario Kart Tour  currently always plays while holding one's phone vertically. This works nicely for a Cave danmaku but I'm personally not sure if that's a good idea for a Mario Kart . You can probably find some gameplay footage of Mario Kart Tour on YouTube to check for yourself.

Lastly, it might feel like Nintendo is trying to smother the case down by deleting screenshots or footage. You should, however, remember that the clauses for the Mario Kart Tour Beta stated that the players selected to participate in the test are strictly forbidden from sharing any screenshots or footage. Nintendo is simply doing its job and cracking down on people who don't follow these conditions.

Mario Kart Tour was announced back in 2018 and is scheduled to release in Summer 2019, for iOS and Android.

Mario kart tour: tips and tricks to win the races.

August 29, 2022 Matt Mills Gaming , Tips and Tricks 0

To compete at the highest level in Mario Kart Tour it is not enough to be an ace behind the wheel. In the mobile racing game developed by DeNA together with Nintendo , you must thoroughly understand the game’s features in order to get the most out of it and, along the way, acquire as many rewards as possible.

Precisely for this reason we are going to teach you all kinds of tips and tricks for Mario Kart Tour. Only in this way will you not only be first in all the races, but also get a very high score to unlock prizes.

Mario Kart Tour: tips and tricks to win the races

How to be champion

In the first place, we are going to focus on giving you all kinds of tips when it comes to competing and trying to be among the first classified . The famous Mario Bros racing saga is not as simple as it seems, since you have many options along the way to beat your rivals.

Choose the most comfortable type of control

The most important thing before you start racing is to select your preferred controls. You have several options at your fingertips, such as the possibility of choosing intelligent driving to move by turning your smartphone as if it were a steering wheel. However, we do not advise to bet on this alternative, since any involuntary movement on your part could ruin the race.

Controles Mario Kart Tour

Choose screen orientation (portrait or landscape), manual drift, turn off Smart Steering and auto objects. This is the perfect setup to play, but the final decision is yours depending on your style of play and how best you feel at the controls.

Take advantage of the turbo every time

The turbo is an essential element in all games in the series and Mario Kart Tour is no exception. Thanks to this property you can overtake rivals, gain distance and much more speed , although its optimal control is not easy at all.

To get turbo you have to drift , which is quite easy to do, just jump while turning to the side and hold your finger until we see sparks start to come out of our wheels. The most experienced players are capable of carrying out this action even on straights to continually gain extra speed, but this is a somewhat complicated practice that we recommend trying before trying it in official races.

In this sense, it is necessary to point out that there are three types of turbo : Miniturbo, Superminiturbo and Ultraminiturbo. These are activated progressively as we drift without interruption in the process, although the last turbo is only available if the smart steering wheel is deactivated. On the other hand, during the countdown to the start of the race, start accelerating when the number 2 appears to start with an acceleration and jump when you are about to reach the edge of a ramp, pothole or any other element of the map to increase the speed. speed when you hit the ground.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter to be first

It may seem contradictory, but in Mario Kart Tour it is not entirely important to be first, unlike the original installments of the saga. In the game for smartphones there is a very generous scoring system that awards rewards even to the last players and even being in second position you can get 5 stars.

Therefore, we recommend that you do not close the application if you see that you are having a bad race, since you could lose the opportunity to get prizes or complete challenges. Always compete until the end regardless of the ranking.

Pay attention to shortcuts

As in any other racing video game, as well as in the rest of the titles of Nintendo’s work, it is possible to take advantage of shortcuts in order to reduce the distance to the other players or increase it even more in the case of going first.

mario kart tour carrera vehículos

These are usually represented with a wooden sign that you can destroy only with the active turbo or an object (only shells, bombs or speakers). Otherwise, you will end up crashing into the wall and losing vital time, although you have the option is to wait for another player to break it and follow in their footsteps.

Remember: you can’t fall

Unlike the other games in the Mario Kart saga, in the title for Android and iOS devices there is no chance of falling off the stage. This is because there is an invisible wall that prevents it, so don’t be afraid when taking a corner in a hurry, since the only thing that will happen is that you will lose some speed.

This is very good for players with little experience in this type of game, since it gives them the opportunity to compete at all times without losing a lot of time every time they fall off the map.

Use objects wisely

Boxes with a question mark inside them provide all sorts of items that you can use to your advantage, like a banana peel for opponents to slide on, a bomb or shell that stuns enemies, or a star that will make you invulnerable and It will drastically increase your speed.

Know in depth the effects of each one of them and use them at the exact moment. For example, you can use the banana peel after coming out of a corner or after a jump so that players don’t see it coming.

The importance of enhancers

Mario Kart Tour has many maps and each of them is linked to various characters, vehicles and hang gliders. Choosing a character like Peach in this case will have several benefits, such as higher base points and getting up to three items for each box, which can be lethal for your opponents. The car and hang glider will also enjoy a higher score, as well as a multiplier on action points and combo bonus respectively.

Puntos Mario Kart Tour

The best characters based on the map will appear first when choosing your driver to facilitate the choice. The number that each of them shows in the lower right corner is the score that each one has.

How to get more points

As we have already mentioned in one of the previous sections, we must bear in mind that winning all the Mario Kart Tour races does not always guarantee more points. There are many factors that have a determining effect on the scoring system and below we will show you what they are so that you can take advantage of each one of them.

With a high player level

Your player level is one of the aspects that influences the total score. Of course, the difference between this game and any other is that you can lower your level depending on your position in the races.

To get more experience it is important to participate in different circuits with a multiplier of points. So in this sense, being among the first in Mario Kart Tour does matter.

Add the points of our character, vehicle and hang glider

Each character has a base score that will eventually increase over time and this is also extrapolated to both the car you use and the hang glider. Try to choose the best combination to get as many points as possible.

Nivel personaje Mario Kart Tour

A little above we mentioned that the system shows the best characters, vehicles and hang gliders first when you go to choose each one. Remember that the scenario influences the base points of the character, so take a look before starting the race and add the points that appear in the lower right corner of each element to have a total base score . In addition, you can redeem settings in the “Menu” section of the initial game screen to increase the characteristics of these three items.

Try to be among the first

It’s okay not to win the race, but the ideal would be to aim for at least the top three places to get more points. If by some chance it is not your lucky day, there is nothing to worry about, because you will also achieve a modest figure that will be of great help to you.

To be on pole in Mario Kart Tour take advantage of all the tricks that we have given you in the first section of this publication. However, practice makes perfect or in this case the driver, so don’t give up and try to improve at all times.

Compete in the highest categories

From its origins, Mario Kart allowed the player to compete in different categories that show the difficulty of the race. These are established by cubic centimeters, leaving the order as follows: 50, 100, 150 and 200 cc , although you can only access the latter if you pay the 5 euros that the golden pass costs.

Categorías Mario Kart Tour

Completing each of these competitions awards points, but the more difficult ones can go up to 400 points . A more than considerable amount, so we recommend you always go to the higher level categories.

Do all you can

Combining actions throughout the race can make you perform a combo that will multiply the final points once it is over. This means that you must use everything you have learned to achieve an unbeatable score.

Link non-stop drifts, hitting enemies with objects, the turbo or any other movement in order to achieve a high combo. This is quite tricky, but don’t be alarmed if you don’t manage to combine many actions the first few times.
