Disneyland Tickets, Prices and Magic Key Information

Disneyland Tickets

The pricing for Disneyland tickets are based on the Guests’ specific dates of travel. Pricing may be lower during off-peak travel periods. Tickets will need to be used during a specific time period as well. Multi-day tickets are a better value than single-day tickets. Multi-day discounts will vary depending on the length of the ticket.

Park Reservations

A valid park reservation for each day you plan to visit is needed in addition to valid theme park tickets.

Additionally, the illegal ticket rental business has been booming at Disneyland in recent years. Disneyland Multi-day tickets are not transferable, however, and in an effort to prevent ticket fraud, Disneyland resort is now requiring that all guests using multi-day tickets have their photo taken. When the multi-day pass is used a second time, cast members manning the park turnstiles will see a photo of the guest pop up on a screen. The photo must match the person using the ticket in order to gain entry into the park.

2024 Disneyland Tickets, Prices and Options

Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse

Disneyland tickets can be purchased in advance online at disneyland. The only delivery option available online is the eTicket option and is free of charge. Tickets will be emailed as a pdf file to the email address specified. Printed e-tickets will be have a unique bar code that can be scanned at park turnstiles. Printed eTickets will then be exchanged for regular Disneyland admission tickets or Park Hoppers of the appropriate number of days.  Park reservations must be selected prior to the ticket purchase.

The costs of a single park Disneyland ticket prices depends on the day of your visit and are as follows:

  • 1 Day 1 Park from $104
  • 2 Day 1 Park from $155 per day
  • 3 Day 1 Park from $130 per day
  • 4 Day 1 Park from $112 per day
  • 5 Day 1 Park from $96 per day

Park Hopper option can be added for $65 extra per ticket for one/two day tickets, $70 for three/four day tickets and $75 for five day tickets.

Disneyland admission tickets are also offered by a number of ticket brokers and vendors online that buy tickets from Disney in bulk and pass on the savings. We recommend ARES Travel for discounted Southern California attraction tickets.

Upgrades for Disneyland Tickets

The value of an unused or partially used ticket or pass can be applied to upgrading to a higher value ticket or Magic Key as long as the upgrade occurs prior to the ticket expiration and Magic Key is available for purchase. For instance, a partially used 3-Day Park Hopper that has not expired and is within 13 days of first use can be upgraded a 5-Day Park Hopper or to a Magic Key. Visit any Guest Services window to upgrade your ticket or pass. For tickets purchased at a discount, the price you “actually” paid will be applied to your upgrade; this information is encoded in the ticket. Older Disneyland passes with no printed expiration date are still valid as admission media at Disneyland Resort, but because of their low value, are probably better used for park admission than applying towards an upgrade.

Other Ways to Get Discounts for Disneyland Tickets

First, never buy tickets sold on eBay, Craigslist or any unauthorized source. Disneyland tickets come with a printed expiration date and used tickets expire 13 days after first use. There is no way to tell how many days may be left on a multi-day ticket other than at the park turnstiles, or for that matter, if the tickets are even real. Furthermore, Disneyland Resort tickets are non-transferable, so don’t expect Disney to help if you get burnt buying a great deal. If you have any doubt about the wisdom of this statement, you can read about ticket scams that took place in the Disneyland area and on Craigslist. As a result of this and similar incidents and ticket rental scams, Disney is now requiring that guests have their photo taken when using all multi-day tickets. Online, use ticket vendors recommended on long-standing Disney information sites and communities when purchasing any attraction tickets and avoid all others. Most Disney communities have a long history with reliable vendors and you will see those vendors mentioned often on forums, boards, and email lists.

Last Minute Ticket Discounts

Disneyland ticket discounts  may  occasionally be available at some Disneyland “Good Neighbor” hotels and area supermarkets, but, typically are not as good as the advance purchase prices available through  ARES Travel .

If you are in the Southern California vicinity and haven’t purchased attraction tickets yet, slightly discounted tickets for major theme parks and attractions are available at the Anaheim Visitor & Postal Center. A Disneyland Welcome Center is located in the DoubleTree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort at 2085 S. Harbor Blvd in Anaheim. Slightly discounted Disneyland and other attraction tickets can be purchased on site.

Some Northern and Central California Safeway stores and AAA Offices may carry discounted promotional tickets. Disneyland tickets offered at these onsite locations tend to be limited and varied, and the full array of Disneyland admission media may not be available.

Military Ticket Discounts

Disneyland Tickets

Active and retired military as well DOD employees can obtain discounted Disneyland tickets through their military base MWR offices. A military identification card or Department of Defense identification card is required at the time of Purchase.

Travel, Rewards and Discount Clubs, Programs and Cards, Oh My!

Check the web sites of any Travel or Discount Clubs to which you belong for attraction discounts and offers. Costco has been known to carry special deals on Disneyland tickets, both in store and online, and AAA sometimes carries tickets members can purchase at a discount. And don’t overlook Rewards programs. These can include hotel, airlines, banking, merchant and grocery store rewards programs. Hilton HHonors program allows members to trade in points for Disneyland passes. Borders Rewards Perks gives members the ability to purchase Disneyland tickets at a discount. Giant Eagle’s fuel perks program sells Disney Gift cards and gives you a discount on gas for your purchase. The Disney Gift Card can be used throughout Disneyland Resort as a form of payment towards admission, hotel stays, tours, merchandise and dining at participating locations. Theme park tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company California at 1-866-470-5119 (gift cards can not be used to make online ticket purchases).  Disney’s Reward Visa Card’s Dream Dollars can be redeemed for Disneyland Tickets.

Corporate & Credit Union Disneyland Ticket Prices and Offers

Corporate Clubs offer a variety of travel discounts to companies or large private groups. These clubs are often able to offer good discounts on attraction tickets. Check with your employee benefit office to see if you are eligible for any Corporate offers.

Discounted Disneyland tickets may also be available through some California credit unions. California residents living or working in select California counties can open a Golden 1 Credit Union account that offers very good discounts on Disneyland tickets. Tickets can be purchased online under the “self services” section. Look for a link in the ‘special offers’ box.

Occupational & Student Ticket Discounts

California teachers who are members of the California Teachers Association are occasionally offered Disneyland and other attraction discounts. The best way to find them is to visit the TSA web site or call TSA/First Financial Credit Union. Discounts on an adult Disneyland tickets can be substantial. Members of other state education associations may want to check for available Disneyland ticket discounts.

Southern California university and college students can often obtain one park/single day discounted Disneyland tickets through their student union offices.

Southern California Residents Ticket Discounts

Southern California residents can purchase special ticket deals from Disney during select months of the year that are valid only for Southern California residents within ZIP codes 90000-93599 and Northern Baja California residents within ZIP codes 21000-22999; proof of residency is required for purchase and admission. When offered, this benefit at Disneyland.com or at Disney Stores, Vons and other retail locations, as well as any Disneyland ticket booth. When purchased in advance, 3-day tickets include one Magic Morning early entry to Disneyland. This benefit is not available to tickets purchased at Disneyland ticket booths. Watch here for more information about special offers from Disney for Southern California residents when they become available. Check our Disneyland Current Discounts page for current availability.

Disney Vacation Club Members Ticket Discounts

DVC members qualify for a number of Disney discounts.  Check your membership benefits for details.

**** The ability of Magic Key holders to make and hold park reservations will be impacted by the “no show” policy. Magic Key holders who are a “no show” for 3 reservations in a 90-day window will be unable to make new park reservations for 30 days. Existing park reservations at that time will not be cancelled. The 30-day period begins the day after the third “no-show,” and will continue even if the pass is upgraded to another pass during that time. A Magic Key holder who enters the designated park any time before closing on the day of the reservation is not considered a “no-show.” If the reservation is for both parks, only one park needs to be entered to avoid being a “no-show.” Magic Key holders who timely cancel a reservation are also not considered a “no-show.” Cancellation of a reservation must be done by 11:59 PM PT on the day before the reserved date. Rules and policies are subject to change without notice.

ϯ Magic Key holders must present their valid Magic Key pass prior to purchases to receive any applicable benefits or discounts. Further identification may be required. Benefits and discounts are valid only at select locations, are subject to restrictions and exclusions, and are determined solely by Disney at Disney owned and operated locations. Check third-party locations for details about their offered benefits and discounts, if any. Disney is not responsible or liable for benefits and discounts offered by any third parties. Please ask about any applicable discounts at a location prior to purchase. The benefits and discounts are nontransferable, subject to restrictions and change or cancellation without notice, and may not be combined with any other discount, offer or promotion. The benefits are for personal use only, and may not be used for commercial purposes or for the benefit of others including, without limitation, the purchase of merchandise with the intent to resell such merchandise or the sharing of benefits with persons who are not the Magic Key holder. See full Magic Key Terms and Conditions.

** Parking benefit is valid for parking, or for discounted parking, for one (1) standard vehicle only at pay-on-entry lots at the Disneyland Resort. Oversized vehicles, preferred parking spaces and valet services are not included in this parking benefit and will require an additional fee. Parking is not guaranteed, and is subject to capacity and applicable Pass blockout dates (i.e., a Pass is not valid for parking on a date for which such Pass is blocked out).

Disneyland is the happiest and most magical place on Earth! It is definitely one of the most visited theme parks in California, attracting millions of people each year. Disneyland’s Annual Passes are a good investment and way to save money if you’re planning on visiting Disneyland and California Adventures multiple times during the year. The prices start at $369 and go up to $1,149, depending on the type of pass that you get(as the amount of blackout days go down, the price increases). Other ways to save money at Disneyland & California Adventure

Throughout Disneyland and California Adventure you will see bottled water selling at a lovely $3 a pop. Well, there is a much colder option that is free. If you go into any Disney Counter Service restaurant you can get ice water for FREE! Simply ask or grab a cup and fill it with some delicious H20.

Bring in Food

Disneyland is one of the few theme parks that does not care if you bring in food to the park, you just can’t bring in alcohol or a full on cooler. So grab some sandwiches, lunchables or whatever you feed your team and have a meal inside the happiest place on earth and you will truly be happy because you didn’t pay $9 for a slice of pizza

Order a whole pizza

Yes, I did just say pizza is about $9 a slice, but if you order a whole pizza you can easily feed 4-5 people for less than $30. A whole pizza is available at Pizza Port located in Disneyland near Space Mountain

FREE Bread & Chocolate

One of my kids’ favorite things to do in California Adventure is to stop by Ghiradelli Chocolate & Boudin Sourdough Bread for some free bread and chocolate just for stopping by.

Book Friendly Neighbor Hotels

Don’t get me wrong, I love Disney resorts, but the ones in California do not compare to the amazingly themed resorts of Florida and they are very pricey. In addition, there are tons of hotels within walking distance to Disneyland. My personal favorite is the Courtyard Marriott located just across the street. Check Prices Here!

No matter what, the key is to enjoy your time at Disneyland so take your time when you are in the parks and enjoy all the sights sounds and experiences.

Insider Tips:

Disneyland California is home to two different parks: Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure. Both parks are jam-packed with fun rides, attractions, food, and shops making a day trip very busy, and making it almost a necessity to make it a multiday trip – especially for those who don’t live very close to the park!

An important thing to note is to only purchase your tickets through a Disneyland authorized ticket seller. That way you avoid scams, and money loss! Also, always make sure to read the terms and conditions, as well as the fine print anytime that you purchase tickets. It’s tedious but provides important information such as block out dates, expiration dates, etc.

Disneyland offers plenty of different parking options for their visitors. These include their theme park parking, Downtown Disney District parking areas, and hotel parking. Right now if you do the general theme park parking the rates start at $25 per car/motorcycle and increase based on the size/type of vehicle if you want preferred parking or valet parking.

Matterhorn, How to buy discount disneyland tickets

Park Hours:

For the most part, the park hours vary, and it is a good idea to check the hours before you plan your trip! Generally, the Disneyland Park is typically open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and California Adventures is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Disneyland offers a variety of different types of tickets. The best way to get a discount is on multiday tickets, as they rarely, if ever, have discounted single day tickets.

Disneyland Tickets and Discounts

How disneyland tickets work.

  • How many days admission you'll need.
  • The dates when you plan to visit the theme parks.
  • Whether you want to go to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. This is known as park hopping .

In addition, for the foreseeable future Disneyland is requiring guests to make date- and park-specific reservations, and only those with valid tickets are able to make reservations. If you purchase directly from the Disneyland website or app, you will make reservations during the ticket purchase process. Otherwise, as soon as you purchase your admission you should make a reservation for the first park that you plan to visit each day of your trip. See our Disneyland Reservations page for details.

In 2016 Disneyland started implementing price tiers for 1-day theme park tickets, charging more for admission on dates when demand is higher. There are several separate "tiers" of 1-day ticket pricing. 1-day tickets are priced at $104, $119, $134, $154, $169, $184, and $194 for those age 10 or older. Tickets for kids aged 3-9 are $98, $112, $127, $146, $160, $174, and $183. The cheapest tickets (Tier 0) are found mid-week when school is in session. The most expensive tickets (Tiers 5-6) are for busy holiday seasons like Spring Break, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Our Crowd Calendar shows what price tier Disney has set for each day of the year.

Disney says its tickets expire within 14 days of the first day of use. In practice, they really mean 13 days after the first day of use. If you purchase a 4-Day ticket on June 1 and use it that day for admission to Disneyland, you'll be able to visit a single Disney theme park on any of your three remaining days from June 2 through June 14. After that, the ticket expires, and any unused days will be lost.

If you mistakenly bought multi-day tickets because you were not aware of the 13-day expiration, call 714-781-7290 or 714-781-4565 and ask to be connected to Guest Communications , which has the authority to issue you a voucher for the unused days on your ticket.

All admissions can be purchased at the park entrance, at the Disneyland Resort hotels, from the Walt Disney Travel Sales Center, on the Disneyland website , and at most Disney Stores in the western United States. One- and two-year-olds are exempt from admission fees.

The more days of admission you buy, the lower the cost per day. For example, if you buy an Adult 5-Day/1-Park ticket for $480, each day will cost $96, compared with up to $194 per day for a 1-day pass to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. The "Admission to 1 Park Per Day" tickets include between 1 and 5 days of park admission and admit you to exactly one theme park per day; you can re-enter your chosen park as many times as you like on that day.

Disneyland Ticket Costs and Discounts

It's possible to obtain discounts on all multiday tickets, but only in the 1% - 7% range. One place to purchase admissions at a discount is disneyland.com .

If you purchase tickets on the Disneyland website, you can choose between hard tickets, which will be shipped to you, or eTickets , which can be downloaded as PDF files and printed at home. An eTicket printed from your home computer will show two bar codes. At the park entrance, a cast member will scan your eTicket and issue your actual ticket. You can also purchase one-day tickets through your smartphone using the Official Disneyland Mobile App without needing to print anything, but these mobile-purchased passes don't include any discounts or bonuses.

The deepest discounts we've found are from ARES Travel . ARES usually beats the Disney advance purchase price for multi-day tickets and also includes the Magic Morning feature. Note that a $2-per-ticket convenience fee is applied at checkout. You can order online or call 800-434-7894 .

Disneyland Resort and other area attractions sometimes offer discounted afternoon and evening tickets for convention goers. See disneyconventiontickets.com .

One Park Per Day Ticket

Multiday tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days, but they do expire 13 days after their first use.

And in case you're wondering, you cannot use 2 "days" of a multi-day One Park Per Day ticket to visit two parks on the same day. We have tried it, and it does not work: Disney's admission computer systems prevent that.

Park Hopper Ticket

A Park Hopper Ticket allows you to visit both parks on the same day. With Park Hopper, you may enter your reserved park any time after opening and the other park after 11:00 am. Multiday Park Hopper Tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days, but they do expire 13 days after their first use. On top of the base ticket cost, Park Hopper Tickets cost an additional $65 to $75, depending on the number of days on your ticket.

Genie+ Add-On

When purchasing a Disneyland ticket, for $30 per day on your ticket (e.g., $90 for a 3-day ticket) you can add-on Genie+ , Disney's for-pay way to wait in shorter lines at most attractions. (If you want Genie+, you can instead make a same-day purchase via Disneyland's app on any day you want it, but the price might exceed $30.)

Upgrading a Disneyland Ticket

Any time before a ticket expires, you can apply the value of unused days toward the cost of a higher priced ticket. If you buy a three-day Park Hopper ticket, for example, and then decide you'd rather have a five-day ticket, you can apply the value of unused days on the former toward the purchase of the latter. Upgraded passes expire on the same 13-day deadline date as the original ticket. To restrict the reselling of half-used passes, Disneyland photographs every multiday pass holder upon first entry for identification purposes; be prepared to have your pass (and face) scanned shortly before passing the turnstiles.

Disneyland Magic Key Passes (Formerly Known As Annual Passports)

Debuting in August 2021 after Disneyland ended its annual pass program, Magic Key passes provide a unlimited number of visits to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks for one year.

Unlike the previous Annual Passport program, Magic Keyholders must make a reservation in advance of the day they wish to visit. All Magic Keys are subject to reservation availability. There are several levels of these passes, each of which has different blockout dates (blockouts can be park-specific, although most of the time blockouts apply to both parks). Magic Keyholders are not able to use their Magic Key to enter a park on a day when that park is blocked out for that pass. Parking is only included in the highest level Key (Inspire Key). Those with Magic Keys also get perks including food and merchandise discounts and seasonal offers such as room-rate discounts at Disneyland Resort hotels.

Magic Keys are not valid for special ticketed events like Oogie Boogie Bash or Disneyland After Dark (although there may be Magic Key discounts for such events).

Magic Key "No-Show" Policy

Disneyland Resort's Magic Key program has a no-show policy which is designed to deter people from making reservations they won't actually use. Keyholders who make a reservation and don't enter either Disneyland or DCA 3 times within 90 days will lose their ability to make reservations (and, thus, use their pass) for 30 days. This can be avoided by canceling a theme park reservation, which Keyholders have up until 11:59 Pacific Time the night before to do so.

Disneyland Magic Key Prices

  • Inspire Key - $1,649 (valid nearly all days of the year)
  • Believe Key - $1,249 (valid most days of the year)
  • Enchant Key - $849 (summer, holidays, and most Saturdays blocked out)
  • Imagine Key - $499 (Southern California residents only; basically Monday through Thursdays, excluding summer and holidays)

Disney limits the quantities of each type of Magic Key, so you may find that some or all of these Magic Keys are not currently for sale or are only available for renewals. Note that the pass types have different blockouts days, number of simultaneous park reservations, parking discounts, merchandise discounts, Genie+ discounts, etc. See Disneyland's Magic Key Passes page for details and purchase information.

See Disney's Magic Key Access Calendar for blockout dates. No Magic Key passes offer access during the Christmas/New Year's period.

Disneyland Ticket Specials for Southern California Residents

In addition to the Imagine Key pass, Disneyland sometimes sells discounted "SoCal Resident" multiday tickets for specific date ranges. If you live in Southern California, see Disneyland's Offers & Discounts page to see what (if anything) is available.

More Discounts on Disneyland Tickets

Below a list of potential Disneyland admission discounts that may be available to certain groups and individuals. (Note that some of these programs may be suspended.)

Members can buy passes for a discount of 3 - 5%. Each AAA/CAA club sets its own prices for Disneyland tickets. Buying from AAA/CAA is usually cheaper than buying from Disney.

Convention-Goers

Disneyland, Universal, SeaWorld, and other parks sometimes set up a link cited in convention materials to purchase discounted afternoon and evening admissions. See DisneyConventionTickets.com and SeaWorldGroupEvents.com .

Disney Corporate Sponsors

If you work for a Disneyland corporate sponsor, you might be eligible for discounted admissions or preferential treatment at the parks. Ask your employee-benefits office.

Active-duty and retired members of the U.S. military can buy special Military Promotional 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $269. ( See Disneyland's page on Military Promotional tickets for details. ) That's $191 less than a comparable ticket sold to the general public. (Heavily discounted 4-Day Park Hopper tickets are also available.) Tickets must be purchased from a "U.S. military base ticket office," and pricing may vary a bit by office. Military personnel can buy a discounted admission for nonmilitary guests as long as the military member accompanies the nonmilitary member. If a group seeks the discount, at least half must be eligible for the military discount. Note that there are blockout weeks surrounding Christmas and Easter, so before purchasing make sure your travel dates are included in the promotion.

Disney Imagination Campus

Disney runs programs for K-12 students to learn how the parks incorporate everything from performing arts to physics. The program runs every day and offers substantial ticket discounts (with substantial restrictions). Disney usually requires a 10-person minimum to attend these events, but waives the minimum on occasion. See disneycampus.com for more information.

Where Not to Buy Disneyland Tickets

Only buy tickets directly from Disneyland (in-person or via disneyland.com) or from a travel agent or authorized reseller.

Others (both brick-and-mortar stores and folks in online marketplaces) are reselling used tickets in violation of Disney ticket policies, are outright scams, or will require you to attend a high-pressure sales pitch. It is impossible to verify whether the tickets are legitimate without trying to use them in the park, and at that time you may discover that they are invalid or expired, or that you do not match the photo associated with the ticket.

Disneyland Discounted Tickets

This is the Internet’s most comprehensive resource for cheap Disneyland tickets.

Most people will look at the Disney ticket price listed at Disneyland’s official website and assume that is the price.

Here’s the good news about Disneyland prices:

If you follow this guide, you’ll discover that the question: “How much do Disneyland tickets cost?” often has an answer that is surprisingly cheaper than what you’ll find from Disneyland’s site… or if you buy tickets at the gate.

Let’s take a look at how to get the absolute best Disneyland ticket price for your upcoming vacation.

Park Hopper A Park Hopper ticket allows you to go back and forth between Disneyland® Park or Disney California Adventure® park on the same day. Non-Park Hopper or 1 Park Per Day Pick one park (Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure) and enjoy it all day long.

Magic Morning Get one early admission to certain attractions, stores, shows, and dining at Disneyland Park one hour before the park opens to the general public. Available on select days only (currently Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Magic Morning is available only with a 3+ day ticket or Southern California CityPASS.

I always recommend getting the Park Hopper, as the parks are both awesome and they’re 100 yards apart from each other. I love the flexibility of being able to go back and forth as we please.

Wait…Is it Even Possible to Get Discounted Disneyland Tickets?

This might be a surprise to some. It was to me.

You CAN save money on Disneyland tickets … if you know where to go and what to buy .

Here are three tips for saving money on Disneyland tickets:

1. Go for More than Just One Day

There’s so much to see and do at Disneyland that just one day doesn’t cut it.

Personally, I think that 3 days is about perfect, but that depends on your appetite for all things Disney, your budget, the age of your kids, and so on.

Three days gives you a chance to experience the shows, parades, all of the attractions at both parks, all at a relaxed and reasonable pace.

Also, one day tickets are never discounted. The more days you stay, the more you save. No surprise there.

2. Always Compare Disneyland Prices

Disneyland has a few authorized resellers who are able to offer discounted Disneyland tickets at prices lower than you will find at the Disneyland website or gate.

Note: The one day tickets are never discounted.

However, you can save on ticket bundles of 2 to 5 days.

Since these authorized resellers are competing for your business, they often offer Disneyland tickets at a lower price than the gate price.

Prices from these vendors can change regularly, so…

Always compare Disneyland ticket prices before purchasing. You can save a lot of money with a simple check.

To make price comparison easy, we have created the Disneyland Ticket Price Checker above.

3. Only Buy Discounted Disneyland Tickets from an Authorized Reseller

It was a wonderful day when I discovered you can buy tickets from authorized Disneyland resellers .

I used to think I had no choice but to purchase Disneyland tickets from Disney. Discovering an alternative that would help me to save money on Disneyland tickets was exciting!

In this article, I will highlight three legit, authorized Disney ticket reseller with great customer service:

aRes Travel

Get away today, undercover tourist.

(You can read more about each of them below.)

Each has been in business for decades. You’re safe to purchase from them in confidence.

Tickets are Same as Buying from Disney

Tickets purchased from these vendors have the EXACT same benefits as those purchased at the Disney gate.

Avoid These Places when Buying Disneyland Park Tickets

With so many people wanting to know how to save money on Disneyland tickets, it’s no surprise that there are plenty of places trying to scam those people out of their money.

Avoid these places:

  • Any site that uses the word “Disney” in the URL (that isn’t clearly a Disney-owned site). Disney doesn’t allow its authorized ticket sellers to use their brand in their website URL.
  • Any broker selling 1-day tickets at a discount. Disney doesn’t allow this by its authorized sellers.
  • Anyone selling you partially used tickets. First of all, you can’t be sure if the pass will work until you arrive at the gate. Second, if the ticket does NOT work, Disney won’t help you because tickets are non-transferrable.
  • Craigslist and eBay. Scammers will try to sell you stolen or used tickets.
  • Any site requiring you to pay with any method other than credit card.

Where to Buy Discounted Disneyland Tickets

Disneyland has authorized each of the following companies to resell Disneyland tickets.

Here’s what you need to know about each:

Company History

In business since 1995, aRes Travel – Advanced Reservation Systems has been working with attractions and hotels for almost thirty years.

What makes aRes Travel different from other vacation vendors is that it is a private travel booking engine rather than a travel agency or other site.

That means that while there are people there to support you and provide customer service, this vendor doesn’t necessarily give the personalized touch of an agency.

The lack of overhead can mean extremely good deals.

How to buy Disneyland tickets from aRes Travel

Visit aRes Travel’s user-friendly website .

Then, simply click on the Tickets tab at the top of the page, and then select the attraction.

Disneyland is the first on the list, making it easy to find your tickets!

From there, select the type of ticket and the number to buy, and you can proceed to the cart.

ares travel disneyland tickets

aRes does indicate the steps you need to take to link your ticket to your reservation, but you have to click on an information bubble to expand the steps.

IMPORTANT : Disneyland also requires park reservations, so it’s important that you check the dates of your trip to be sure that you can use the ticket you purchase during your stay.

When you’re making the ticket selection, you can see a direct comparison to the price you would pay through Disneyland’s website as well.

Screenshot of aRes Travel site

Once you’ve purchased the ticket, you’ll receive the ticket via email to then print out and take with you to the park.

You can also link this ticket with your reservation in your Disneyland app, which is what we would recommend.

One of the certified ticket partners with Disneyland, Get Away Today is an ideal ticket vendor for getting your Disneyland tickets at a slightly discounted rate.

In business since 1990, Get Away Today has been planning Disneyland and other California trips for over thirty years.

ares travel disneyland tickets

They pride themselves on communication between their travel experts and guests, working to meet the needs of everyone in your party and addressing any issues that come up along the way.

Not only can you get Disneyland tickets through Get Away Today, but you can book all the other aspects of your trip as well.

This is where the big savings comes in – Get Away Today can help you save hundreds with your accommodations, on or off Disneyland property, including getting complimentary nights at some of the Good Neighbor hotels.

How to buy Disneyland tickets from Get Away Today

Dealing exclusively in Disney eTickets , Get Away Today allows you to buy your Disneyland tickets through their website, and also shows you the potential discounts compared to the actual Disneyland ticket price.

Screenshot of Get Away Today site

Once you have purchased your ticket, you’ll receive your Disneyland eTicket directly to the email you provided.

You can then print the ticket, scan them into the Disneyland app, or just open the email – the same way you would with a ticket purchased directly from Disneyland.

ares travel disneyland tickets

Get Away Today also gives guests the opportunity to use their Layaway Plan, which allows you to pay for your Disneyland tickets and other aspects of your vacation in installments rather than all at once.

To use the plan does mean a $99 fee as part of the first payment, but you can make payments up until five days before your trip.

Once you’ve paid off the tickets, you will receive them in your email.

Starting their company in 2000, the “Frog Family” of Undercover Tourist has worked to bring magic to family vacations.

In conjunction with their blog giving all the best tips and tricks, travelers can also purchase authentic park tickets, book hotels, and find their rental cars through Undercover Tourist.

With the personal touch of dealing directly with a small business, their customer service helps to make your vacation magical from the beginning.

Undercover Tourist is consistently highly ranked with the Better Business Bureau.

How to buy discounted Disneyland tickets from Undercover Tourist

It is easy to get your tickets – just purchase them online through the Undercover Tourist site and the eTicket comes straight to your email.

Undercover Tourist shows you all the taxes and fees up front, and you have your tickets the same day since they are digital tickets.

You do not need to exchange the ticket at the gate, simply scan and go!

You can also pair these tickets with your other plans in the Disneyland app. Undercover Tourist also shows you the exact savings amount compared to the Disneyland price.

Screenshot of Undercover Tourist site

Undercover Tourist also shows guests the exact steps needed to check park availability for Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure, as park reservations are still required for entry.

It is important to check if there are still reservations available before purchasing the ticket, to ensure that you will be able to use the ticket on the day you wish to enter the park.

4 Easy Steps to Obtain Your Park Pass Reservation from Undercover Tourist

Okay, so you’ve found cheaper Disneyland tickets.

Now, you might be asking yourself:

Are there other ways to get deals on Disneyland tickets?

How can you get deals on Disneyland tickets ?

One more way to get a deal on Disneyland tickets is to buy combo ticket packages.

Here’s how this works.

If you’re planning a vacation to Disneyland, there is a good chance you’re also thinking about visiting:

  • Universal Studios
  • Knotts Berry Farm

If you’re planning on hitting any of these other attractions, you can get combo tickets through aRes Travel and save money per person.

Here’s how to save on Disneyland combination packages:

  • Look at the prices to buy the tickets from each park. I suggest you start with our Disneyland price comparison tool at top of this article.
  • Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood combo tickets
  • Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm combo tickets
  • Disneyland and LEGOLAND combo tickets
  • Disneyland and Seaworld combo tickets

There is no current promotion for Disneyland discounts for senior citizens.

Years ago, Disneyland Resort ran a promotion offering free admission to guests on their birthdays. Alas, this is not a current Disneyland promotion and purchased tickets are required for all guests ages 3 and older.

Cardholders of  Disney Visa  get a 10% discount on merchandise at Disneyland. Also, the card will get you a 15% discount on certain tours at the park.

What is the military discount at Disneyland?

Military Discounted Disneyland Tickets are available on the military base.

I just bought our tickets through Ares Travel. I followed the link in my confirmation email to print the vouchers (I bought 5 tickets). I assumed I would print out 5 e-tickets but it just seems to be a one page voucher. Does this sound right? I just don't want to get out there this summer and find I don't have the correct paperwork to pick up our tickets. Thanks!

VandVsmama

Yep, that sounds right. I used them for half of our tickets last October. You will need to take that voucher to the ticket booth and they will then give you the regular DL paper tickets. Once I got up to the ticket window, it took about 10 minutes for them to do the exchange. They had to get a supervisor and it was a little involved. Just something to keep in mind, though, is that if your travel dates change more than 10-14 days within your original travel dates, then you will have to exchange the tickets with aRes for new ones. This will involve them giving you a refund on your original tickets and then they will charge you for the new tickets. However, if the price of tickets has changed since you first bought them, then you will have to pay the higher price. It's a huge pain in the neck.

g-dad66

Yes, it was just a one-page voucher for 5 of us last August. It did take a while at the ticket booth to get the tickets, but we arrived at mid-day, so there was no line at the booth at all.

That sounds correct. Make sure that EVERYONE named on the voucher is present at the booth when you get your tickets. They are looking for some sort of identification for every adult in the party. We had our kids waiting for us near the gate, and had to go get them in order to get the admission tickets. It takes a few minutes, but once you are done you have tickets to access the parks.

I contacted Ares, they said only the purchaser needs to be there with ID.

sherilaine

We bought our tickets through Flight Centre, which is similar - they give you a 1 page, doesn't look like much, voucher which has to be exchanged at the ticket booth. No questions whatsoever - they did not need any ID from my husband, only myself as I purchased the tickets. My kids were nearby but not needed. The CM wrote the names on the tickets as they were printed on the voucher for us. It honestly took about 5 minutes and 2 of those were the CM trying to tell us stuff about the park we already knew! I'd not worry - they do this stuff every day there, it's not a big deal!

We just used them for our trip last week. Yes, I did have a tiny freakout when I only got ONE page, (and we had several tickets on each purchase...) but it worked out fine at the ticket window. My son had about 6 tickets to pick up, and he was the only one that had to show up at the ticket window with his ID. He was the purchaser. The rest of the gang was in their rooms offsite. He had no problems picking up ALL the tickets. This is the first time I have ever used ARES, and I have to admit I was quite impressed! And it didn't hurt that our large family saved about $70.00 by using the Mousesavers link!

I assumed I would print out 5 e-tickets but it just seems to be a one page voucher. Does this sound right? I just don't want to get out there this summer and find I don't have the correct paperwork to pick up our tickets. Thanks! Click to expand...
andermichelle said: They ripped us off! Bought and printed our tickets off with an expiration date 12/31/2016. When we bought we checked them to make sure they were good all year but then they put an expiration on the pick up date. It's been a nightmare. I would recommend not using them. Click to expand...

I think that with Disneyland tickets (unlike WDW), they always expire at the end of the current year. Unless you buy them really late in the year, and then they expire at the end of the next year. Was your expiration sooner than the end of the year?

We have Ares tickets for Knotts - there is no expiry date on them other than 12/31/16, and we have one per person, not just one page. Printed at home so no pick up date, not sure what that is all about?

When I bought mine they asked me when I was picking up.

We've bought tickets through Ares a few times and have never had any issues. Out of curiosity, I just checked my email for a pick up date. It says Aug 23 but we aren't arriving till Aug 24. Does that mean they might not let me pick up my tickets if I'm a day later than the pick up date on the email? It never occurred to me to check before but now I'm concerned!
