The Journey
The Journey is an ambient / chillout radio station in Grand Theft Auto IV . The station is unusual in its choice of DJ, "a computer" (as credited by both the end-game credits and manual) which speaks in a synthesized voice of a female.
Often times, the lines delivered by the computer are seemingly philosophical, but appear to be more nonsensical, if not meaningless. The computer DJ often talks about the subject "Life is actually a game" and other similar topics talking about the relationship between computers and life - and this is an obvious reference to the player being in the 'world' of Grand Theft Auto, and some of the things the presenter says may be Rockstar joking, suggesting that the player should interact with the real world too, not just GTA.
This genre of music is the first of its kind to appear in a Grand Theft Auto game, and listeners will recognize the track "Pruit Igoe" by Philip Glass , which was played in the first GTA IV trailer.
The Journey is replaced with Self-Actualization FM in the Episodes from Liberty City version of The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony .

- Ray Lynch - "The Oh of Pleasure" (1984)
- The imaging voices of the station are provided by one Alexandra Williamson, the only known human voice actor for the station.
- A Macintosh computer was used to produce the voice of the computer DJ of "The Journey"; which is evidenced as the "Vicki" voice from Apple's PlainTalk speech software can be heard as the voice of the computerized DJ. It is the first time text-to-speech software was used in the Grand Theft Auto series.

— GTA IV Website
The Journey is a radio station that is featured in Rockstar Games' 2008 game Grand Theft Auto IV. The radio is known to play music in a lot of Genres, such as Ambient, Downtempo, New-age, Electroacoustic Music, Kosmiche, and Contemporary classical.
The radio is unusual, because it is known to be hosted by a Fruit Computer which speaks in a futuristic synthesized female voice. The DJ when listening to the radio is known to often mention about the communication and connections between the Real Universe and the Grand Theft Auto Universe, along with other specific topics spoken by the DJ. The dialogue of the computer is known to be recognized as
philosophical statements and quotes spoken to the player. The radio sometimes breaks the fourth wall and VR of the city, telling the listeners saying that they are "Living in a Simulation".
In Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City , This radio was replaced by another ambient radio called Self-Actualization FM, which also includes different ambient songs and has a different DJ.

Trivia: [ ]
- The two songs, A Rainbow In Curved Air and Communique: 'Approach Spiral', were both removed from The Journey in Grand Theft Auto IV's 10th Anniversary (or Patch 1.0.8.0) along with other songs from other radio stations due to the 10-Year Licensing Agreement becoming expired as shown by the Asterisk.
- The Journey is known to be Derrick McReary's favorite radio station.
- This radio will automatically play if Niko Bellic enters the TW@ internet cafés in Broker and Alderney, but except for Algonquin, since the radio plays Jazz Nation Radio 108.5 instead. And in the episodes, it is replaced by Self-Actualization FM.
- The song, "Z Twig" by Aphex Twin is known to be credited in the Credits known as "Selected Ambient Works Volume II, CD2 TRK5". The reason why this was credited instead was because the tracks on the album are known to be instead correspond to a image created and coined by Aphex Twin. It also plays on the trailer of the main protagonist on the Grand Theft Auto IV website.
- The song "Pruit Igoe" by Phillip Glass is known to play in Grand Theft Auto IV 's first trailer released as a short version released on YouTube in March 29, 2007 and on the official Rockstar Game and IV site as well.
- This is the only radio station that talks about different cosmological universes between Grand Theft Auto and the Real Life Universe.

From Grand Theft Auto 3 onwards, radio has been an increasingly important part of the Grand Theft Auto universe. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, radio stations started to build their own identity, featuring distinct characters that made every station unique. In San Andreas, the music was stepped up to match the dialogue in terms of variety and quality. Grand Theft Auto IV is continuing the legacy with a total of 18 stations, sporting the same unique flavour and styling that we've come to expect from all Grand Theft Auto titles.

Grand Theft Auto IV Vehicles & Cars List (GTA 4, TLaD & TBoGT)
On this page you find the full list of vehicles and cars in Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City ( TLaD & TBoGT ). There is a total of 177 vehicles included in GTA 4 & Episodes. You can sort the vehicles by various statistics such as Top Speed and Monetary Value , to see what are the fastest cars in GTA 4, the most valuable, or the overall best vehicles in GTA 4.
You can also filter the vehicles by Game Edition and Vehicle Class. Clicking on each GTA IV vehicle brings you to their detailed information and stats, including locations where to find them.
How To Get Cars in GTA 4
In GTA IV, you can simply steal any car and vehicle you find on the street. You can get any Cars, Bikes, Boats, Helicopters, and more. Click on the GTA 4 vehicles in our database to see all the locations where you can find them on the map.
Once acquired, you can store the GTA 4 cars in the parking spaces outside of the Safehouses owned by the protagonists Niko, Johnny or Luis.
Can You Buy Cars in GTA 4?
No, it's not possible to buy cars in GTA 4, and the same goes for the Episodes From Liberty City (TLaD & TBoGT).
And why would you need to buy one?
You can simply steal vehicles and directly store them in your safehouse's parking spots. There is no way to purchase vehicles in Grand Theft Auto IV.
GTA 4 Cars List: Stevie's Car Thefts & Exotic Exports
GTA IV features two side missions that revolve around stealing and delivering cars and vehicles in exchange for monetary rewards: "Stevie's Car Theft" and "Exotic Exports".
In " Stevie's Car Theft " you have to deliver a list of 30 vehicles to Stevie's garage in Bohan. After completing all of Stevie's Requests, you can continue to steal any GTA 4 cars at any time and sell them to Stevie's garage for a reward.
In " Exotic Exports " it's Brucie Kibbutz asking you to steal a specific list of 10 cars and motorcycles and bring them to his lockup in East Hook.
Can You Customize Cars in GTA 4?
No, there is no vehicle customization in GTA IV and the Episodes From Liberty City (TLaD & TBoGT).
However, it's possible to take the GTA 4 cars and vehicles to the " Pay 'n' Spray " shop/garage, which allows you to respray the vehicle in a different color.
Bringing a GTA 4 vehicle to Pay 'n' Spray also completely repairs the vehicle and allows you to evade the police and lose the wanted level if you're already out of their sight - as the cops won't recognize you after changing the color of the car.
