No complaint ever

I’ve used cheeky trips a few times. I never add baggage or transfers so I always get the quoted price. The people complaining is adding extras like luggage and transfers. It’s based on 2 people so the price x2 is the minimum you need to pay. Always received airline tickets and booking confirmation. Couldn’t fault them at all will continue to book time and time again.

Advertised @£450, turned into £650

My partner saw a 5* holiday to Turkey all Inclusive for £225pp on cheeky trip. She live chatted to check the holiday was still available at that price, the answer was yes! I transferred the money over to her account so she could go ahead and book it. She was on the phone, a looooong loooong time, and dissapeared upstairs. After about 45mins I went upstairs and she was still on the phone to the agent. I could hear figures being mentioned. I said straight away if they are trying to charge a lot more say NO! She told me to go away, she continued in private to talk about deals etc. She is easily drawn into sales pitches and always has the fear of missing out. After about an hour she came downstairs saying it’s all booked. And eventually told me how much it cost. She said it was £650 total. It was £200 more than what was advertised but we had a cracking time there, food and drinks were fantasTic, hotel didn’t feel any where near the 5* advertised. But we’re not fussy. I always say if you can’t press a buy it now button the deal doesn’t exist! The telephone call always ends up adding money on!

An amazing sunny short break

We had an amazing short break to Marakech staying at the Labranda Targa Club Aquapark. A little child-free escape for me and my partner but as soon as we saw the lovely slides we wished we'd taken our children 🤣 The hotel was very clean and comfortable with a great choice of food. Marakech itself is such a unique and beautiful place to visit. We loved making use of the free hotel bus and taking a trio into the medina for exploring and shopping. We've been to this hotel twice and would recommend and definitely return. Hopefully cheeky trip have some more great deals in the future for this hotel.

How can it be a good deal when you get charged an extra £500 for nothing. I stringently told him I did not want to go ahead informed my banks fraud department just in case they tried to take payment scam scam scam scam. I see on the reviews they send out the same blurb they are a comparison website etc etc etc

Easy communication

We have booked to go on our 1st holiday through this company & so far I can not fault it. It’s really simple to phone up & pay a deposit. We set up monthly payments they always rang before taking payment. On our last 1 we rang up & asked if we could pay a week later, that was no problem. We had all our confirmation sent over by email which we can print out if needed. We are all looking forward to our 1st trip & will look at booking again in the future ☺️

Don’t waste your on Cheekytrip prices

Don’t waste your time with this website. The prices they advertise are far from the total price they ask for when you make contact by phone or live chat (ITS A CON).. Tonight I chatted with Michael.. he was cheeky & rude & the holiday I was checking ended up over £150 more expensive than I can purchase the same holiday elsewhere.

Shame that I was quoted double the price that Cheeky Trip quoted on their website

I got really excited about booking a cheeky all inc break away for £207pp for next month, but as soon as I did the live chat and quoted the reference to the travel agent (not cheeky trip) the price doubled. When I queried it, they said the price is not live. I checked on cheeky trip and it said the price was correct as of an hour before… so it doubled in an hour? I understand what the travel agents do is out of cheeky trips hands, but it’s put me off trying to book through them now, as it just seems a waste of time looking, researching the hotel, checking dates are ok etc, for the travel agent to double the price anyway. Is that how it’s supposed to work?

As a frequent visitor to all-inclusive resorts, I know the ins and outs of finding a great deal. I put this guide together through years of travel experience, consulting with other experts who have visited these specific resorts, and reviewing the KAYAK rating system to determine. Please note all prices were accurate as of 21/03/2024 and are subject to change.

15 best affordable all-inclusive resorts for every type of traveler

Wide shot aerial view of family relaxing in pool at tropical resort

Yes, it's true that some of the world's best all-inclusive resorts cost thousands of dollars per night. Still, there are also plenty of affordable vacation properties available for every type of traveler. Whether you are planning a Maldives trip on points and miles , a safari with the kids or a rejuvenating getaway to the Caribbean — and need to stick to a budget — you'll be happy to know that affordable all-inclusive resorts exist in all these dreamy destinations.

If you are the type of traveler prone to accidentally spending your entire budget on vacations, all-inclusive resorts can become your best friend. With meals, drinks and — depending on the resort — activities included, there is no sticker shock when you check out at the end of your stay. Staying at an all-inclusive hotel means you'll know exactly what you are spending before you arrive, allowing you to have the best possible stress-free vacation your budget allows.

Where to find cheap all-inclusive hotels

There are cheap all-inclusive hotels around all corners of the world, including in the U.S., Africa, Europe and Asia, but the vast majority of them are in Mexico and the Caribbean. And just because an all-inclusive resort is affordable doesn't mean it is subpar. You'll be surprised to find many of the resorts listed here feel quite luxurious.

Mexico's most popular beach destinations, including Cancun , Tulum, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, are filled with affordable all-inclusive resorts for all types of travelers — some are geared toward families, others are adults-only. Spain is also home to a number of affordable all-inclusive resorts. These can be found along the Costa del Sol and even on the famed party island of Ibiza.

What is an 'affordable' all-inclusive rate?

Rates vary with all-inclusive resorts and are usually set by season and demand. For this guide, we define affordable all-inclusive rates as roughly less than $300 per night. Expect these rates to be slightly higher in traditional bucket-list destinations — like going on a safari in Kenya or diving in the Maldives. And while you may pay more per night for these properties, they are still affordable compared to other resorts in the region. Many are also inclusive of everything. So, on that safari, you'll not only have all your meals and drinks included but also twice daily game drives.

When trying to determine a reasonable price for an all-inclusive vacation, consider if everything is truly included or if you will need to spend money on extras. For instance, if you are heading to Mexico and don't want to sit around by the pool or beach all day, will you be spending money on excursions or rental cars? Because that will certainly add up. If this is the case, then the resort that includes all activities may be cheaper.

The best way to get a good price for an all-inclusive resort is to avoid travel during holidays when rates will be highest. If you are planning a short trip and have flexible vacation days (or work remotely), try booking during the week, when rates are usually lower (airfares can be lower as well).

Basecamp Masai Mara is an affordable, all-inclusive safari resort in Kenya's famed Masai Mara National Reserve, home to the annual wildlife migration. It offers a classic Kenyan safari experience at a rate that won't break the bank. The property is also eco-friendly; its camps are lit, and water is heated by solar power.

The camp is on the Talek River in a tropical forest setting and just across a footbridge from the reserve. The reserve is home to all of Africa's big game animals, and it's where you'll do your twice daily included game drives. Basecamp caters to families and couples alike. If you are traveling with kids, the Young Explorers Club offers educational activities, like bush survival skill classes, for young ones during the parts of the day you aren't on safari.

You'll stay in one of 17 riverside canvas tents. These are permanent structures, and while they aren't ultra-fancy, they are very comfortable with proper beds and are decorated with colorful fabrics. President Barack Obama and his family stayed at Basecamp when he was a senator, and the tent where he stayed is even bookable. There is also a family tent with two wings, each featuring a double bed and a shared bathroom area in the middle.

What makes Basecamp truly special, however, is the quality of its guides. The company employs the Maasai people, whose land they also lease. Not only will you get to experience the "big five" animals (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros), but you'll also have a chance to learn about the Maasai culture. Dinners are communal affairs, where discussion with guides and other guests quickly becomes a highlight.

Rates at Basecamp Masai Mara , which start at $365 per night, are per person based on double occupancy and include all meals, airstrip transfers, shared game drives and Masai Mara park fees. Children 3-12 sharing a tent with adults pay 50% of the full rate.

When most people think of the Maldives, they think of overwater bungalows that cost thousands of dollars per night — not a vacation that mere mortals can afford. But Reethi Beach Resort offers an all-inclusive private island experience that won't break the bank.

Here, you can even stay in an overwater bungalow. It's not as luxe as the overwater bungalows at the resorts frequented by the 1%. Still, they sit on stilts over the Indian Ocean, offering direct access to the fish-filled lagoon below. Plus, no one can charge for the brilliant turquoise water and white sugar sand beaches that are the real stars of a Maldives holiday, and in this department, Reethi Beach Resort competes with the best of the best.

The property is in the Baa Atoll, part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve at Hanifaru Bay. The reserve is home to manta rays, whale sharks and nurse sharks, among other marine life. Excursions to snorkel with them can be organized for an extra fee. There is also excellent diving in the area.

Reethi Beach offers a mix of overwater, ocean and garden-view bungalows. If you want to save your pennies for underwater excursions, which are truly worth the cost, then opt for one of the beach or garden bungalows. Their interiors offer the same style of decor and comfort level. Plus, you'll still have access to the same stunning lagoon but at a lower price point.

All-inclusive rates at Reethi Beach Resort start from $194 per night and include all meals and some beverages.

If you have always dreamed of honeymooning in the Maldives, Robinson Maldives is an affordable resort option. An adults-only property on a private island in a very remote location, it has a marooned-at-sea ambience that matches its name. If you are planning a destination wedding, the resort also hosts these.

There are a range of spacious villas here, including overwater options. Economy bungalows are the least expensive room type and offer garden views (rather than water views). However, they are still comfy and perfect if you care less about where you sleep and more about affording a Maldives vacation. The decor is the same regardless of whether you are in an overwater or economy bungalow.

There are also two on-site restaurants and three bars. The resort has a house reef you can swim to, and snorkeling equipment is included in the nightly rate. Note that guests will pay extra to dive, do a boat snorkeling trip, windsurf or stand-up paddleboard.

Rates at Robinson Maldives begin at $461 per night and include all meals and some drinks.

Spice Hotel & Spa is in one of Antalya's newer developments on Turkey's stunning Turquoise Coast. It's a sprawling, 500-plus room, all-inclusive property on the beach in Belek. Despite its good value price-point, Spice Hotel has a luxe feel. The public spaces are impressive with a gold pillared and peacock feather-decorated lobby, gold-mirrored elevator doors and lounges decorated in rich-hued fabrics.

Moroccan-style decor prevails around the property, and the best rooms and suites have an opulent look and Mediterranean views from furnished balconies. If you want to splurge, opt for a villa. These are lavishly styled and in their own VIP section within the resort. But note that even the cheapest rooms still have private terraces and contemporary decor.

This resort is a top choice if you are looking for a lively vibe. Attractive to families and couples (honeymoon suites have whirlpool tubs), it hosts nightly entertainment and weekly Champagne pool parties at the huge lagoon-style swimming pool, featuring costumed dancers and other performers.

The beach here is a wide sandy affair, with a mix of sun-loungers and cabanas for guests. If you are traveling with children, there is a kids club, water park pool, bowling and video game stations.

Spa Ice has an extra charge but offers a full range of treatments as well as a Turkish bath, steam room and sauna. The resort has a few different dining options, including buffet and a la carte choices.

Rates at Spice Hotel & Spa start at $116 per night based on double occupancy and include food and most beverages.

Set on a beautiful stretch of beach between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, this oceanside resort caters to all types of travelers — including those with small dogs. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts, Dreams is pet-friendly (with an extra fee and size restrictions). Families can look forward to numerous pools and a kids club, too.

Well-appointed rooms and suites at this Mexican hacienda-style resort underwent a recent renovation and feature distinct, octagonal shapes throughout the design. There are many different room types, but booking the Preferred Club level offers extra amenities, such as premium alcohol included in your daily rate.

The property has a whopping nine on-site restaurants with a mix of buffet and a la carte selections. Restaurants span the globe cuisine-wise. Options range from upscale French restaurant Bordeaux to an Asian-inspired eatery and, of course, a modern Mexican restaurant.

Rates at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa start at $374 or 29,000 World of Hyatt points and are based on double occupancy and include all food and top-shelf alcoholic beverages.

On Bai Dai Beach, just south of the popular Vietnamese resort city of Nha Trang, Swandor Resort Cam Ranh offers an affordable and comfortable all-inclusive beach vacation in a bucket-list destination. The beach here is beautiful, with soft sand and clear, warm turquoise water.

The five different room categories vary when it comes to size and views, but even the cheapest rooms have at least partial sea views and contemporary decor. The deluxe family-front sea-view rooms have a wall of windows looking out directly onto the ocean.

The property is very family-friendly; there is a kids club with supervised activities, a large playground and the Puppy Restaurant, which has a kid-focused menu. Other amenities include multiple pools and, for adults, the Xone Night Club. Choose from three restaurants, including one focused on seafood. There are also three bars and poolside snacks.

Rates at Swandor Resort Cam Ranh start at $120 per night and include all food, beverages and some activities.

On Cozumel, the island just off the shore of Cancun in the Mexican Caribbean, Fiesta Americana is a great choice for families looking for an affordable all-inclusive resort experience. The on-site Fiesta Kids Club runs all sorts of activities for younger travelers; it has crafts, video games and a special lunch service for children.

One guided snorkeling trip is included in the nightly rate. There is also a private beach club and two swimming pools to lounge around — ideal spots to sip all the included tropical drinks.

The rooms and suites all have at least partial Caribbean Sea views from furnished balconies or terraces. The best views are found on the higher floors, naturally. There are also large, modern family suites, perfect for spreading out with the kiddos. Guests can choose between Mexican fare at El Mexicano, Asian cuisine at Peninsula or Italian dishes at Rosoto.

Rates at Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive start at $212 per night, based on double occupancy, and include food, beverages and some activities.

If you are visiting Ibiza for something other than the party scene , you'll love Barcelo Portinatx. The adults-only property sits at the northernmost tip of the island, and the vibe is way more zen than the club-centric nightlife for which this island is widely known. The location is beautiful; it's just steps from a cove with a small beach, where the resort has a beach club for guests.

The all-white resort has a boho chic-meets-modern minimalist style throughout. The rooms have a neutral color tone and elegant decor. All feature rainfall showers, designer bath amenities and sun loungers on a large balcony. The best room types come with whirlpool tubs or outdoor showers.

You'll have four dining choices: a main restaurant, the beach club, the lobby bar and the pool bar. There are also two swimming pools and complimentary hatha yoga classes each morning.

Rates at Barcelo Portinatx start at $121 and include meals and drinks.

If you are looking for an affordable all-inclusive with a plethora of amenities on Spain's Costa del Sol, Iberostar Royal Andalus delivers. Set above the sand dunes overlooking Barrosa Beach in Cadiz, it is also a top choice for golfers with two par 72 courses within walking distance — or you can take a free shuttle.

The rooms and suites are spacious, although some look a bit dated. Still, for the price point, they are comfortable and put you close to the stunning beach. If you want something a bit more upscale than the base-level rooms, book one of the suites; these have newer furnishings, more vibrant artwork and in-room Nespresso machines. Some also feature whirlpool tubs. Families should consider the adjoined suite options, with separate living spaces and sofa beds.

There are multiple restaurants on-site, so you won't go hungry here. There are also two swimming pools, a seasonal kids club, a water park and a beach club with included activities.

Rates at Iberostar Royal Andalus start at $64 and include meals, beverages and some activities.

Sandpiper Bay Resort is finishing a major resort-wide renovation as it transforms from what was once a Club Med into a Trademark Collection by Wyndham property. One of the few true all-inclusive resorts in the U.S., it's on Florida's beautiful Treasure Coast.

The resort has both beach and river access and is geared toward families, as seen in the two separate kids clubs. (There is one for children between the ages of 4 and 10 years and another for tweens and teens, each with age-appropriate programming.)

Activities like stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking are included in the nightly rate. There are also tennis and pickleball courts, minigolf courses and basketball courts, ideal for family games. Other amenities include several different dining options and a spa.

Rooms and suites come in a handful of tiers and layouts, but all feature bright colors and modern decor. The family suite option has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two twins, as well as a daybed.

Rates at Sandpiper Bay Resort start at $422 per night.

About two hours south of Panama City on the Gulf of Panama, this luxury property offers a good value price-point on Playa Blanca beach. This makes it one of the best choices for anyone seeking a traditional, large-scale, all-inclusive resort experience with plenty to entertain guests.

It caters to families, friends and couples alike. There is a large kids club with organized activities split by age group (4-7 years and 8-12 years). Guests can use kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, body boards and snorkeling equipment free of charge. There is also a nearby golf course for guest use.

Besides the beach and included activities, there are four swimming pools, including one with a swim-up bar and another dedicated to children. There is also daily activity programming. Nighttime entertainment includes a discotheque open six nights a week and nightly live shows around the resort.

Rooms and suites are sleek and contemporary with fun pops of color. There is a main buffet restaurant and three a la carte choices: Asian, Italian and a steakhouse.

Rates at Hotel Riu Playa Blanca start at $265 per night and include all food and unlimited beverages 24 hours a day, including in-room liquor dispensers and minibars.

Opened in 2021, MarBella Elix sits on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea and a beautiful beach in the far north of Greece with views of Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos. Despite its luxe vibe, this all-inclusive still has a shockingly affordable price point.

The design is modern beach chic with lots of floor-to-ceiling glass windows as well as a lobby featuring a live tree and bright patterned pillows on rich leather couches. Rooms and suites have woven wood headboards behind beds draped in high-quality linens.

There are multiple dining options, including a large Greek and Mediterranean buffet and a creative Greek fine-dining restaurant. At the pool, guests can grab light meals at the Italian Indigo Pool Restaurant while Azure dishes out burgers, pizza and salads on the beach.

If you are traveling with the kids, the Grasshoppers Mini Club — unlike most kids clubs — accepts children as young as 4 months and up to 12 years. It provides a range of age-focused activities.

Rates at MarBella Elix start at $115 per night.

Offering all-inclusive packages, Grotto Bay is a good choice if you are looking for a smaller resort experience on a beautiful pink sand beach. Set on 21 acres of lush tropical grounds that include dramatic caves and direct access to the clear turquoise water beach at Bailey's Bay, it has 201 rooms and 11 colorful cottages.

There is plenty to do at this property, although not all excursions are included. You can use stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for free. You can also play tennis, and pay for excursions like fishing charters, wreck diving and reef snorkeling tours.

Rooms and suites come in several layouts and are on the smaller side, averaging around 350 square feet. Each features some type of ocean view and floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a furnished balcony. If you want to be right on the water, book the oceanfront rooms. Ocean-view rooms are set on a ridge top and offer water views from a distance.

There are three on-site restaurants as well as two bars.

Rates at Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa start at $262 per night, and all-inclusive rates include three meals, unlimited beverages, food and beverage gratuities, public transportation and use of kayaks, paddleboards and snorkel.

The Hilton Tulum All-Inclusive Riviera Maya Resort was the brand's first all-inclusive foray into this part of Mexico, opening in 2022. Set right on the beach, Hilton Tulum has a luxe, contemporary ambience. There are 735 rooms and suites, but despite the size, the property does not feel crowded.

Accommodations are designed with locally sourced materials that match the surrounding environment; they're styled with a neutral color pattern. All rooms have private balconies with either landscape or ocean views. The suites add separate living and dining space and even larger balconies. You can book the "Enclave" club level for elevated room amenities, a private pool area and a lounge with snacks and beverages. Because this is already an all-inclusive resort, this is not necessarily worth the extra cost.

If you are traveling with the family, there is a kids club with organized activities and a splash pool water park playground. Teens also have a club with a movie room, video games and pool tables.

There are nine resort pools in total, and if you are traveling as a couple or with friends, there is an adults-only pool as well. Other amenities include five signature restaurants as well as bars and lounges. There also is a fitness center with a yoga studio and spin room.

Rates at Hilton Tulum All-Inclusive Riviera Maya Resort start at $234 or 81,000 Hilton Honors points and include meals, most beverages and some activities.

If you want to sleep in an overwater bungalow in the Caribbean, head to Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Jamaica. The luxury all-inclusive is an adults-only property that caters almost exclusively to couples. Designed to pay homage to refined British style, it has a Georgian-style Great House, roaming peacocks on its manicured grounds and offers afternoon tea service.

The overwater bungalows are the most luxe of the multiple accommodation tiers. These are set on the resort's private island, so they offer an even more exclusive experience. The villas come with glass panels on the floors that let you check out the underwater world beneath. They also have outdoor soaking tubs and double hammocks on their balconies.

If the overwater bungalow is out of your price range, don't worry: The other rooms are still romantic and swanky. Guests also have access to 20 restaurants at this Sandals and two others in the area, including a Thai restaurant on the private island open to all guests.

One of the best parts about staying at a Sandals property is that rates are truly all-inclusive. Motorized water sports and even scuba diving are included in your nightly rate, so you won't need to spend anything on activities.

Rates at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort start at $387 per night.

wont be using these again

Ordered our holiday for July this year through Cheekytrip. Despite the negative reviews there were some good reviews. We booked through their chat function and as asked about hidden costs and have it in writing that there wont be any. However they did ask if we wanted to have our room upgraded for an extra cost. We declined they accepted this, but rang shortly after and said they would give us the upgrade anyway for free. I am still uneasy about these people and worried either the holiday wont exist or we will get there and be double booked or something like that. also and this is the biggest problem so far with this company is the relentless reminders to pay they send through we agreed to pay a certain amount every month with the last payment being this month, but we was sent emails and letters saying the full balance was due. this happened more than once had had to ring every time and sort it out with them. This weekend we received 5 emails reminding us our final payment is due on the 1st. and a letter and another email the week before. if this holiday is a success or not I will not book with these again due to the fact how stressful they have made it and the constant badgering for money that's not even due.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY - they couldn't sort my problem in the UK so how can they help with problems overseas?

Found a good price for my holiday and tried to book the holiday. At first it all went smooth, then as the end came; they added on additional booking and admin fees. Then they insisted more money to keep my holiday booked, even though they had already taken the first payment. To make matters worse, they then changed my flight and booking arrangements and demanded more funds towards an error they made in the booking and insisted it was my fault for not answering a call that I told them I couldn't answer to begin with. I then insisted a refund and cancellation and they tried to tell me that they couldn't because it was my fault. After a while of debating about the refund, they agreed and issued the refund. The refund was only suppose to take 10 working days, ended up being a whole month with lack of communication and constant debates about which department was causing the problem. It came to a point were I understood that they weren't actually doing anything and had to report to my bank of the incident and the refund situation. After providing evidence for my bank, they sorted my situation and I got the refund a few days after with no respond from the company. But atleast after a month, I got my refund back. Would recommend to never use this company. It's a shame really because the staff over the phone was lovely to talk too at the beginning.

Don't trust this site

I booked a week in Turkey through this comparison site and it was awful. Not what I asked for. It was top notch holidays that booked it. The price quoted on the cheekytrip site was 184 pounds for a week in a 5 star hotel all inclusive. When I spoke to the top notch advisor she was trying to sell me 800 pound cancellations as there was 3 of us. I told her most hotels say they can add an extra bed, she said this was not the case. I made it clear I only wanted 5 star for all inclusive. After offering much higher prices and me saying no my budget is about 200 each out of season she found us a hotel for 220 each. I accepted with out realising it was 3 star as I had been so clear about wanting 5 star. The hotel is opposite a bus station with busses running all night and has a religious speaker outside that starts at 5.30 am. The room is a normal double with an extra bed shoved in the middle. I was told the hotel was 15 mins from the airport so didn't book a shuttle. It was 120 k from the airport and cost 125 euros to get there. The hotel is shabby, the bed they put in is rotten. I have plenty of pics. It's supposed to have a private beach which is a pile of rubble, no sun beds and no WiFi. The food although full of fresh salad was very basic and mostly processed meats and cheese, the only inclusive drinks were cheap beer or warm wine and we had to dine out most of the time. I feel like I was mislead by the sales person who told me this was a good deal as it was a cancellation and I was getting a better standard of room. That means someone had already paid for this, they make it clear there are no refunds. I will be contacting trip advisor also. The price for a 3 star hotel for 1 week in Turkey was less than 100 pounds. I feel ripped off and wouldn't trust these sals people again. In fact I'll try another site. Cheekytrip have said they have sent me a private message but they haven't.. l will be getting legal advise now I'm home and will be aiming for a refund and compensation. There were so many people complaining about cheekytrip while we were there as every one had the same issues I have had an email now from cheekytrip ,I will update review when I find out what action they intend to take. Cheekytrip have put me in touch with top notch holidays whom have said it was my fault for not calling them when we got there. We did not have use of our phones and it took 3 days for the hotel to sort out internet. As well as that the say no cancellations and to change any thing incurs more charges No apology for giving me a 3 star instead of 5 star. I would avoid them at all costs . Very unprofessional scammers.

11 top affordable all-inclusive resorts for 2024.

A stress-free getaway awaits at these affordable all-in-one properties.

Top Affordable All-Inclusive Resorts

Chairs on a guest room patio at Iberostar Selection Cancún.

All-inclusive resorts promise a simplified vacation: One upfront fee covers food, drinks and select activities, so you can relax with a cocktail in hand instead of worrying about your spending. However, not every all-inclusive accommodation option offers the same budget-conscious bang for your buck; some end up costing much more than you may be hoping to pay thanks to extra fees for amenities like kids clubs or meals at specialty restaurants.

These U.S. News picks for affordable resorts are properties where two guests can stay in one room for around $250 per night or less. These prices may not be available year-round: You may need to settle for off-peak travel periods or reserve well in advance for peak seasons (usually December to April for warm destinations). Round-trip flights are not factored into these prices, but some resorts may offer packages that include air travel.

Whether you're dreaming of a family-friendly beach trip or an adults-only escape, these reasonably priced all-inclusive resorts across the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America ensure a memorable travel experience that won't break the bank.

El Cozumeleño Beach Resort: Cozumel, Mexico

Package deals: Romance packages are available, as are hotel and flight combination deals.

If you're hoping to head to the white sands of Cozumel , a popular island just off the coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, El Cozumeleño Beach Resort is one of the cheapest all-inclusive choices. Choose between rooms facing the garden or ocean (typically more expensive), all of which are fitted with balconies.

Rates include free diving lessons in the pool and snorkel equipment rentals, plus other activities like kayaking, tennis and dance classes. Otherwise, spend your days lounging by your choice of five pools (including one indoor option), two hot tubs and a private beach. Dining venues include the upscale Veranda restaurant, the casual Cocal eatery and an assortment of bars. Recent guests describe El Cozumeleño as a great place to relax, with particularly friendly staff. Per-night costs can dip as low as $130 per room and typically don't rise above $200 per night.

Paradise Village Nuevo Vallarta: Mexico

Starting rate: From $155 per night

Package deals: Travelers can choose between the all-inclusive plan, a breakfast buffet plan, a golf package or specials determined by the length of their stays. A "Kids Stay Free" deal for children ages 2 to 12 may also be available in combination with these packages. On top of that, guests can save time and money by booking their hotel rooms and air travel together.

For an affordable option within reach of Puerto Vallarta , consider Paradise Village Nuevo Vallarta, located just under 10 miles northwest of the center of the popular resort city. The hotel's all-inclusive plan encompasses unlimited food and beverages, gratuities, nonmotorized water sports, Wi-Fi access and more.

You'll enjoy access to two lagoon-style pools with slides, hot tubs and waterfalls – plus another lap pool for workouts and a kids area. Meanwhile, palapas and chairs are available at the beach, and guests will have a long list of sporty activities to choose from, including bocce and kayaking.

Restaurant options include Mexican fare, Italian dishes and sushi, plus the Copan Sunset Sky Bar for drinks with a view. Recent visitors say that Paradise Village is a good bet for family vacations, thanks to the plentiful activities at the property.

Hotel Riu Playa Blanca: Río Hato, Panama

Pools at Hotel Riu Playa Blanca.

Courtesy of Riu Hotels & Resorts

Package deals: Hotel Riu Playa Blanca lists a variety of "best offers" on its website for select dates throughout the year.

If you'd like to look beyond classic all-inclusive destinations like the Dominican Republic or Mexico, consider Hotel Riu Playa Blanca, located about 80 miles southwest of Panama City, Panama. This modern property, opened in 2014, features a red-and-white color scheme and a sleeker design than your average all-inclusive. Accommodations all come with free Wi-Fi access, a minibar, and a balcony or terrace.

This resort is a good place for a relaxed trip; you'll have access to three main pools (plus another for kids) and the shores of Playa Blanca along the Pacific. Daytime activities include volleyball and a kids club, while live music and dance venues rule the night. In addition to activities and entertainment, the all-inclusive fares cover all meals, snacks and beverages. Dining options include a buffet, an Asian restaurant and a steakhouse, among other options. Past visitors note that the resort is ultra-clean and boasts friendly staff.

Fiesta Resort All Inclusive Central Pacific: Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Package deals: Fiesta Resort offers discounts throughout the year based on the length of your stay.

This all-inclusive resort sits about 55 miles west of Costa Rica's capital city, San Jose, and has the unusual feature of a volcanic black sand beach at its doorstep. Whether you're lounging there or near one of multiple pools, the resort's lush gardens give the feel of a tropical paradise. Activities include hits like water polo and beach volleyball, as well as some more unique options like a coffee class and palm weaving.

The property offers four main restaurants and seven bars, including poolside options. Given Costa Rica's prominence as an ecotourism destination, you may also want to visit the pristine rainforests or tropical islands in the area (however, such excursions aren't included in the hotel rates). Previous guests love the proximity to nature and the option to go on wildlife tours, though some travelers feel the resort caters more to locals.

Note: The property will be renovating its 408 guest rooms in different stages between 2023 and 2027.

Frequently Asked Questions

There's no one agency or website that offers the best deals for every all-inclusive resort. Instead, a solid approach is to use a website like Kayak or Expedia to search for resorts that have cheaper pricing available at the time you want to travel. Then, once you have the names of a few affordable options, you can shop around different agencies or websites to see which one offers the cheapest deal.

If you're on the hunt for an all-inclusive deal, it's important to think about your timing – both in terms of when you're booking and when you want to travel. Better deals tend to involve traveling when there's less demand. According to Laura Sangster, founder of luxury travel agency Caribbean Journey , there's typically less demand for all-inclusive properties in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America during September and October, which are typically part of hurricane season .

"This is when hotels, including all-inclusive resorts, experience the lowest occupancy and thus offer the best deals in an effort to fill rooms. Historically, these have been very active hurricane months. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30, so rates within this period are always less than December to May."

While Sangster notes that it's possible to find last-minute resort deals for travel during these more popular months, she doesn't recommend holding out for such bargains.

"While you might benefit from a decreased hotel rate, airfares currently price the other way and will only be more expensive closer to travel," she says. "It's also important to plan ahead to ensure you are able to secure the room category you want."

Sangster advises travelers to book well in advance to get better prices, particularly if you're hoping to travel during peak season. "We saw very few deals during the 2021 and 2022 peak seasons. All-inclusive resorts seemed to follow a trend of increasing as the weeks and months ticked by," she says. "Our clients who didn't book the initial proposal we prepared often faced higher rates when they came back to book weeks or months later."

Read: The Trick to Finding Cheap Flights

Unfortunately, there isn't one easy answer to this question. It's generally possible to find cruise fares at a cheaper price than all-inclusive vacations, but cruises are known for having more hidden costs that can rack up during your trip. For example, not all cruise fares include alcoholic drinks; you may need to purchase a daily beverage package , which can quickly add to the bill. You may also have to pay more to access some restaurants on board or for excursions when the ship docks.

In contrast, all-inclusive resort rates usually include drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and meals at all restaurants on the property. It's still possible to incur additional charges for services like spa treatments or some activities like a scuba diving trip, but such fees tend to be for much more obvious extras.

The best way to know whether a cruise or all-inclusive resort is right for you is to do your research before booking. Look at what a cruise fare does and doesn't include, and try to figure out how much you'll need to pay in extra fees to have the vacation you want. You can also check out our breakdown of how much a cruise costs and even browse all-inclusive cruise options to see if they're right for you.

7 of the best all-inclusive experiences to book this year, from a travel planner

  • As a travel planner, my clients seem to be increasingly interested in all-inclusive trips .
  • Some of my favorite luxury resorts are in Costa Rica, the Maldives, and Isla Mujeres.
  • Cruises, group tours, and adults-only lodgings can also come with all-inclusive options.

Insider Today

As a travel planner at Marvelous Mouse Travels , I know vacations are expensive — especially if you're looking to go somewhere this summer . But all-inclusive travel is often a great way to get the most value out of a luxury experience.

I've been on several all-inclusive vacations with my family, friends, and work, and I've helped other people book them in destinations around the world .

Here are some of the best all-inclusive experiences I'm recommending to my clients this year.

Try a split-stay vacation to see the best of Costa Rica.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Costa Rica is one of the most sought-after vacations , and for good reason. It's great for both relaxation and adventure.

I recommend booking a split stay, starting at an all-inclusive resort in Guanacaste near the beach for some fun in the sun and moving to a resort near the famous Arenal Volcano for a jungle adventure.

Some of my favorite resorts in Costa Rica are the Westin Reserva Conchal and the Dreams Las Mareas. And if you're looking for an even more unique experience, check out the glorious swim-out suites with private pools at Dreams.

Baglioni Maldives is one of my favorite all-inclusive resorts.

cheeky trip all inclusive

The Maldives, a remote set of islands in the Indian Ocean, offers a plethora of resort options for couples and families, but Baglioni Maldives is my favorite.

For many in the US, getting to the islands can be daunting — there are very few direct commercial flights, and it can take almost an entire day. But it's hard to beat the country's luxury accommodations and gorgeous landscape.

The Maldives also has some of the most beautiful marine life and coveted spots for snorkeling and scuba diving.

No matter where you go, overwater bungalows are the ultimate all-inclusive splurge.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Overwater bungalows — villas standing on poles over open ocean water — are prevalent at all-inclusive resorts in destinations like the Maldives, Fiji, and Bali.

But I've also come across the luxurious accommodations at select adults-only Sandals Resorts throughout the Caribbean.

I think having a private villa on the water is the perfect way to unwind and relax.

Adults-only vacations are on the rise.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Traveling with kids can be a blast, but I also think it's important for adults to take a much-needed break on their own.

Adults-only resorts have been a total respite for me and my husband after hectic months of juggling work with our kids' school and sports schedules.

If you're looking to unwind with a partner, relax on a girls' trip, or even connect with your adult children, there are countless adults-only, all-inclusive resorts to choose from, depending on where you're looking to visit.

Some properties, including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, also offer butler service. Designated staff members can help with anything from room requests and dining reservations to cabana rentals and transportation coordination.

I upgraded to the service at my favorite adults-only spot, Le Blanc Los Cabos, and I felt totally pampered.

Isla Mujeres is pure luxury.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Isla Mujeres, a small island off the coast of Cancún, is known for its crystal-clear, turquoise water and peaceful vibe. It's also home to Playa Norte, one of the best beaches in Mexico .

Impressions Isla Mujeres by Secrets is a gorgeous all-inclusive resort on the island. It offers luxury at its finest, but with only 125 rooms, it has a boutique feel.

One of my favorite features of the resort is the waterslide that leads right into the beautiful ocean.

There are plenty of all-inclusive packages at sea.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Cruising is one of the most popular vacations , whether it's an epic adventure on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, a couples-only journey on Virgin Voyages, or a regal tour of Europe on Viking River Cruises.

Although cruises aren't traditionally considered all-inclusive, with the right booking, they can have the same feel as a luxury resort.

Most cruise bookings include food, nonalcoholic drinks, and live entertainment. If you add beverage packages and excursions in advance, your trip should be fully paid for before you depart.

Book a small-group or private tour if you're looking for adventure.

cheeky trip all inclusive

Group travel is a great way to explore new places while soaking up culture and history.

Popular destinations include Italy, Japan, Costa Rica, and Alaska, and many travel companies take care of everything for you, essentially making it all-inclusive.

I like Adventures by Disney , which offers small-group travel all over the world facilitated by seasoned guides. All the trip details are taken care of, including experiences, food, lodging, and transportation.

Additionally, Kensington Tours offers luxury private travel where every facet of the trip is meticulously planned for you.
