Dave matthews, tim reynolds announce 2017 tour dates.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will kick off a U.S. tour on May 3rd at Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre in Tuscaloosa, AL. Since Dave Matthews Band is not touring this summer, the two musicians and longtime friends are instead taking the opportunity to play a rare series of stripped-down, acoustic dates together. The run will include two-night stands in Nashville, TN (May 6th & 7th), Philadelphia, PA (June 2nd & 3rd), Chicago, IL (June 10th & 11th) and Saratoga Springs, NY (June 16th & 17th). They will also perform at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY (June 6th) and PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ (June 7th). See below for full itinerary.

An online ticket presale for the tour will begin on Thursday, January 19th at 10 am ET for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association . Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 10th at 10 am local time.

Next week, Matthews and Reynolds will play a pair of sold-out shows in Texas. They’ll head to the Mexican Riviera in February to headline three concerts on Barceló Maya Beach as part of Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds: Riviera Maya, an all-inclusive coastal concert vacation. Supporting artists include Aldo López-Gavilán, Vusi Mahlasela and Carlos Varela. A limited number of packages are still available. Matthews & Reynolds will kick off a spring European tour with a two-night stand at London’s Eventim Apollo (March 20th & 21st).

As a duo, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds have released three live double-CDs together: Live At Luther College (1999), Live At Radio City (2007) and Live In Las Vegas (2010). Matthews is the lead vocalist/guitarist for Dave Matthews Band, which has sold more than 20 million tickets and a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined. It is the first group in history to have six consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He released his solo debut, Some Devil , in 2003 and the lead single, “Gravedigger,” won a GRAMMY award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.

Reynolds is a self-taught master of the sitar, solo jazz guitar, solo djembe, twelve-string guitar, violin and mandolin, along with his acoustic and electric guitars. In addition to his work with Dave Matthews Band, he records and performs with TR3, the breakthrough electric trio he founded in the 1980s. His new solo acoustic CD, That Way , features 14 new original songs.

Guitar gurus  Dave Matthews  and  Tim Reynolds  have announced a 2017 tour that will take them across North America and Europe. The trek kicks off on January 25 at the Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land, TX and wraps up on June 18 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. The duo will perform back-to-back shows in Nashville, Philadelphia, Chicago and Saratoga Springs.

DMB History - 2017

In 2017, many band members used the break from a full summer tour to pursue a few individual projects. In February, Dave and Tim headed to Mexico’s Riviera Maya, where fans joined them for an all-inclusive coastal concert vacation. The pair toured the U.S. and Europe thereafter. Stefan and longtime collaborator Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) played concerts with 123GO! and Secret Stash. Jeff played shows with several of his side projects and joined Carter at the Clearwater Jazz Fest and the 27th Annual Berks Jazz Fest.

After violence erupted at a far-right rally in Charlottesville in August, Dave Matthews Band joined together with Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, The Roots, Brittany Howard, Cage the Elephant and numerous special guests to perform at “A Concert For Charlottesville – An Evening of Music and Unity.” The event was free to local residents and members of the University of Virginia community. Many fans chose to make donations to a fund that provided assistance to victims, their families, first responders and organizations promoting unity and justice.

Dave Matthews Band celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Record Store Day with the first vinyl release of Live At Red Rocks 8.15.95. DMB Live 25, a five-LP collection of career spanning live performances together with a hardcover book featuring photographs from the DMB 25 Pop-Up Retrospective, was released in the fall. The Live Trax series continued with Volumes 41-44.

Dave Matthews Band Plot Massive 25th Anniversary Tour

The Dave Matthews Band  will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the same way they spent most of their years together: With a massive summer tour. Each night of the trek, which kicks off May 11th in Wichita, Kansas, will feature two full sets from the band. However, in addition to the summer tour, Dave Matthews Band also announced that they would take a hiatus from touring in 2017.

Before the band goes on break, they’ll host a Labor Day weekend-long 25th anniversary bonanza at George, Washington’s the Gorge, a venue DMB has performed at over 50 times. Other as-yet-unannounced artists will join Dave Matthews Band at their Gorge send-off. Tickets for members of the group’s Warehouse Fan Association  go on sale Tuesday, with general public tickets to follow on February 19th.

The Bama Works Fund supports charitable programs primarily in the Charlottesville, VA area but has also responded to a wide variety of needs both nationally and internationally. Along with Dave Matthews Band and its members, the fund has raised over $65M and made over 2600 grants.

DMB is committed to sustainable touring in partnership with Reverb , protecting the environment and combating climate change. The band has partnered with the The Nature Conservancy to plant a million trees a year since 2020, totaling almost 4 million trees.
