Nashville TV cast re-unite for a UK tour in October

Stars of hit and iconic television series ‘Nashville' have announced their live return with a major UK tour in October 2023. ‘Nashville: The Reunion Tour' will see stars Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio take to the stage once again to perform classic songs from the series as well as their own original material.   Nashville became a TV phenomenon when it first debuted in 2012. Set against the backdrop of Nashville’s music scene the show followed the lives of Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley and Sam Palladio as Gunner Scott as country music superstars, up-and-coming performers and songwriters trying to get ahead in the business.

  The show’s popularity grew instantly reaching over 225 territories worldwide before its final season in 2018. Since its debut, the show inspired 22 soundtracks, including a Christmas album which collectively sold millions of album units and single-track downloads around the world. “NASHVILLE” was also critically lauded with multiple Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Critics Choice award nominations.   In the UK alone ‘Nashville In Concert' sold out three tours including a major arena tour in 2018. UK fans old and new can still relive the gripping drama and legendary music with all seasons streaming on  Channel 4 .   The incredible cast of the series carry with them the spirit of Music City and will once again share the stage together to celebrate the magic of ‘Nashville'.

Nashville Live In Concert Reunion 2023 UK Tour: Line-Up, Dates & Tickets

Around five years since the characters of Nashville hung up their cowboy boots and put their simmering feuds aside, the stars of the hit TV are returning to the UK for a long-awaited tour.

It marks the first time Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio and Jonathan Jackson will be performing together in the UK since 2018, which saw them embarking on a sold-out arena tour.

The new run of dates will take the cast of Nashville across Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Cardiff, with the Live In Concert Reunion Tour set to kick off on October 11.

Due to high demand, an additional show has been added at London's Eventim Apollo.

Esten, who played the recovering alcoholic and legendary guitarist, Deacon Claybourne, has a new range of solo singles under his belt, with the Outer Banks star currently readying his debut album.

He'll undoubtedly be performing an assortment of these alongside a slew of hits from Nashville , including the heartwarming ‘A Life That's Good’ and ‘Sanctuary’.

Attendees will be hoping Clare Bowen, who appeared in Nashville as country prodigy Scarlett O'Connor, will play her dark, ominous anthem, ‘Black Roses’.

She'll also be expected to take the stage alongside Jonathan Jackson and her on-screen songwriting partner, Gunner Scott (Sam Palladio), to perform their much-loved track, ‘My Song’.

Both Palladio and Bowen have continued to release music since Nashville ended, with the latter dropping a couple of new singles alongside her husband as Bowen Young.

Completing the quartet of Nashville stars that'll be heading across The Pond in 2023 is Jonathan Jackson, who played the fan-favourite songwriter and producer, Avery Barkley.

Barkley was championed by viewers for his rollercoaster of a character arc.

Jackson releases music with his band, Enation, with the group having put out their most recent project, Ultraviolet Empire in July 2022.

He'll bring a number of these tracks out on the road with him, along with hit Nashville songs such as ‘Everything I'll Ever Need’.

Our nights feature a 90 minute show with a full band performing the biggest Modern and Classic Country Music hits of all time from Dolly Parton, to Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard to Glen Campbell, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood and everything in between aswel as music from Maria Jordan. The band is led by Country/Americana artist Maria Jordan and the band made up of some of the finest established songwriters, musicians, producers and performers.

Fans of the Nashville TV series will be very excited to hear that the cast are back!

Four stars of the hit US TV music drama are reuniting for a special UK tour, playing tracks from the series at a number of venues.

Nashville: The Reunion Tour will see Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio take to the stage once more to perform classic songs from the series, as well as their own original material.

Nashville debuted in 2012 and quickly became a massive TV hit in the States and UK. The show was set against the backdrop of Nashville’s music scene, and followed the lives of Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson as Avery Barkley and Sam Palladio as Gunner Scott as country music superstars and up-and-coming performers.

The series ended in 2018, but it still has a legion of passionate fans. The show also had 22 soundtracks, including a Christmas album, which collectively sold millions of album around the world.

In the UK alone, Nashville In Concert sold out three tours including a major arena tour in 2018. The series can currently be streamed in the UK on Channel 4.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Thursday (March 9) at 9.30am. VIP ticket packages are available on all dates. Get tickets here .

Nashville The Reunion Tour on Smoothradio.com, March 2022 – Specific Rules

1. The Nashville Reunion Tour promotion (‘ Promotion ’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from 9th March 2023 to 27th March 2023 on Smooth Country. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is SJM Concerts.

4. Online entry will open at 06:00 on 9thMarch 2023 and close at 23:59 on 27thMarch 2023. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.

Within 7 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. 2 x correct entries will be selected at random for each venue listed, and the winning entrants will be contacted by one of our representatives via email or telephone on the telephone number on which you entered. If such winner does not respond within 28 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 28 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.

• 2 x pairs of 1 x pair tickets to see Nashville The Reunion Tour at Manchester O2 Apollo on the 14th October 2023
• 2 x pairs of 1 x pair tickets to see Nashville The Reunion Tour at London Eventim Apollo on the 17th October 2023

12. You must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19, both in the UK and your travel destination/venue. We are not responsible for your failure to comply with such rules, regulations, and guidance.

This month, Chappell Roan - one of the biggest breakout acts of the year - is arriving on UK shores for her biggest shows here yet. 

Playing shows across the country - in Manchester, Glasgow and a three night stint in London - as well as a trip over to Dublin for good measure, The Midwest Princess Tour is set to be a night of pure, queer joy. 

Chappell's meteoric rise to pop superstardom has been a sight to behold, and it's largely in part to a series of increasingly viral festival sets ripped from her tour. 5 Best Moments From Dierks Bentley’s Nashville Concert: ‘The Biggest Honky Tonk on Lower Broadway’

The country star also highlighted the talents of Bella White, Chase Rice, Zach Top and more.

Dierks Bentley held court at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday (Sept. 7), calling the 20,000-seat venue “the biggest honky tonk on Lower Broadway.” He should know, he’s played many of Nashville’s tiny clubs early in his career, perhaps most notably the iconic bluegrass room The Station Inn, cultivating his mix of country, rock and bluegrass-tinged music, before breaking through with his 2003 debut single “What Was I Thinkin’.”

His comparison with Lower Broadway’s ever-growing slate of honky-tonks (including his own Whiskey Row, which opened in 2018) was apt, as the evening was filled with many of the hallmarks of any number of club-sized venues dotting downtown Nashville, including guest artists dropping by, ’90s cover songs aplenty and even some karaoke moments.

Two decades into his career, Bentley has earned 18 Billboard Country Airplay No. 1s and 15 Grammy nominations. Veering along country music’s sonic sweep of sounds, encompassing rock, ’90s and 2000s country and rock, and bluegrass, Bentley offered hits including “I Hold On,” “A Lot of Leavin’ Left to Do,” “5150,” “What Was I Thinkin’,” “Black” and “Livin’.”

“My hope for the show is that you find a moment where you feel like you’re living,” Bentley told the crowd.

He’s also forged a concert style that blends hits, a genuine onstage ebullience that easily outpaces many of today’s newcomers, and intentional audience engagement (such as bringing one fan onstage for a beer-chugging challenge and offering another fan a karaoke moment). Bentley’s crack band — including Charlie Worsham, Ben Helson, Tim Sergent, Steve Misamore, and Cassady Feasby — provide a perfect foil for Bentley, not only musically, but they easily match his often goofball humor, such as their humorous, hockey-themed band intro video and when Bentley repeatedly jumped in front of bandmate Worsham during Worsham’s take on “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” which was originally recorded by New Grass Revival, before Garth Brooks turned it into a No. 2 Billboard Country Airplay hit in 1994.

The wide range of music in Bentley’s show — gobs of ’90s country covers, Bentley’s own two decades of 2000s hits and music from many of today’s buzziest newcomers — chronicled the evolution of country music’s soundscape.

Opening for Bentley was bluegrass/Americana newcomer Bella White, who offered up songs from her album Among Other Things , including songs about fizzled relationships (“Break My Heart”) and dirtbag men (“Marilyn”), as well as a sterling version of Lucinda Williams’ “Concrete and Barbed Wire,” which drew devoted applause from the concert’s early arrivals.

Meanwhile, fellow opener Chase Rice offered up a set filled with personal meaning for the singer-songwriter. The acoustic guitar he played was one his father had given him when Rice first started learning music. Noting that his father died two years after he was given the guitar, he honored his father’s memory by performing one of the first songs he played for his dad, John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

Rice was first known as a songwriter, contributing to the Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” before he notched his own pop-country hits, including “Ready Set Roll” and “Eyes on You.” He included all of those in his Bridgestone set, but best highlighting his talents were his newer songs, such as “Haw River,” that will be on his new album Go Down Singin’ (out Sept. 20), showcasing his more roots-leaning, rawer sound and matured songwriting.

In his own set, Bentley welcomed The Red Clay Strays lead singer Brandon Coleman , as well as country singer-songwriter Zach Top.

Decade-Old Hit Still Resonates

Bentley offered up plenty of his hits during the show, but one — the decade-plus old song “I Hold On” –seemed to particularly resonate with fans, as they raised cups and hands in the air. The song centers on holding fast to things that have personal meaning — a father’s truck, an old guitar and intangibles such as faith, love and freedom. As Bentley reached the line, “These dents and scratches in the wood/ Yeah, that’s what makes it sound so good,” he flipped his guitar over, showing the crowd his axe’s own expanse of scrapes and cuts, proving that the song is one of the most personal of his catalog.

Chase Rice Welcomes Man’s Best Friend

The old stage adage is to never follow babies and dogs. But Rice earned an instant standing ovation by welcoming his dog Jack, a black Labrador, onstage as he performed the tear-jerker, well-crafted ballad “Bench Seat,” written from the perspective of a dog who loses his human friend to addiction. Jack stayed by Rice’s side during the performance and when Rice performed his FGL collaboration “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen,” Rice pulled beverages from a small pack the dog was wearing, and tossed the drinks to fans in the audience. All the while, the screen flanking either side of the stage were trained on Jack for much of the performance, while audience members could be heard fawning over the beloved pooch.

Hot Country Knights Continue the '90s Revival

Classic country covers of Alabama’s “Mountain Music” and Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge” popped up during Bentley’s solo set, but those were just a taste of what was to come. After concluding with his own “Drunk on a Plane,” Bentley and his bandmates returned to the stage dressed their parody country band Hot Country Knights. Garbed in bright, patterned shirts, skin-tight jeans and feathered wigs, their show was equal parts chaotic rock star swagger and deep-seated love for ’90s country music, as the musical energy cycled from stage to crowd and back, through a communal singing of ’90s country hits, including Travis Tritt’s “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” Diamond Rio’s “Meet in the Middle,” Collin Raye’s “Little Rock” and Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”

Bluegrass Revelry & Zach Top Gets a Musical Showcase

Bentley’s band of musical brothers was solid throughout his set, but offered a mighty, fleet-fingered showcase of their virtuoso talents as they performed the title track to Bentley’s 2010 bluegrass-inspired album Up on the Ridge , followed by the Worsham-led rendition of “Callin’ Baton Rouge.” From there, they welcomed rising country singer-songwriter Zach Top, who drew instant cheers from the crowd as he launched into his own “Sounds Like the Radio” and followed with the bluegrass/country song “Freeborn Man.”

Welcoming The Red Clay Strays’ Brandon Coleman

Earlier this year, longtime hard-gigging road band The Red Clay Strays saw their song “Wondering Why” go viral and a few nights ago, they headlined three nights at the Ryman Auditorium just up the road from the Bridgestone Arena. The Red Clay Strays lead singer Brandon Coleman joined Bentley for a turn at Waylon Jennings’s “Lonesome, On’ry and Mean.” Dressed in a white suit with his signature black pompadour, Coleman unleashed a raw rumble of a voice, instantly eliciting cheers, shouts and applause from the audience.
