This week I took 31 of our Year 11 pupils away on a WW1 battlefields tour with the best company I have ever worked with – Zeitgeist Tours for Schools (…) 3 days jam packed with fun, adventure, learning and a really meaningful experience. We survived gas attacks, shot pistols, climbed into bunkers, we participated in the last post service, we bought (and ate) large quantities of Belgian chocolate, we paid our respects to individuals lost in the Great War and so much more. I cannot recommend them highly enough, cost may be slightly more, but my goodness, worth every penny

Some people are surprised that Hiram Bingham’s “Lost City of the Incas” is not the only stop on their Peru itinerary. L’association TRISOMIE 21 Gard est une Association Loi 1901, crée en 1982. Elle rassemble les adhérents jeunes, parents et professionnels du département concernés par la trisomie 21, afin d’accompagner dès le plus jeune âge et tout au long de la vie, les personnes avec trisomie 21.

Qui sommes-nous .

Plus de 100 personnes avec trisomie 21 et/ou t roubles du développement intellectuel , enfants, adolescents et  adultes, bénéficient de notre engagement déterminé et confiant en leur potentiel de réussite d’insertion sociale : en crèche, à l’école, en formation professionnelle, au travail, dans les loisirs, pour l’accès au logement, l’accès à la culture, l’accès à la citoyenneté... 

Nos actions

Pour concourir à ces objectifs, nous nous sommes dotés de services  dont nous étudions les possibilités de développement, conformément aux souhaits des personnes et la législation en vigueur : 

• Service d’Education et de Soins Spécialisés A Domicile (SESSAD).  
• Service d’insertion professionnelle DEFI 21  pour un accès et un maintien en emploi en milieu ordinaire de travail. 
• Section ESAT  hors les murs : ESAT T21 
• Médiatrice de Parcours Inclusif:  pour apporter un renfort aux familles et aux bénéficiaires dans l’élaboration de leur projet de vie
• Une vie associative animée autour de l’accueil, l’orientation, l’information, la communication, l’accompagnement à la personne, à la famille et l’organisation de manifestations conviviales. 
• Des participations dans les différentes instances telles que le Conseil Départemental Consultatif des Personnes Handicapées (CDCPH) et la Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées (MDPH). 
• Des partenariats nombreux dans des collectifs ou associations et notamment avec les opérateurs de l’emploi (entreprises privées, Conseil Régional Occitanie, Conseil Départemental du Gard, AGEFIPH,  Mairie de Nîmes-Alès-Bagnols/Cèze, DIRECCTE, FSE, ARS, CREAI, Relais Loisirs Handicap 30, CODES, Pôle Emploi …). 

SESSAD GEIST 21 GARD  

S ervice d’ E ducation  S pécial e et de  S oins à D omicil e :  le service a été créé en 1997 et accueille 50 enfants ou adolescents de 0 à 20 ans, porteurs de trisomie 21 et ou troubles du développement intellectuel. Il intervient sur l’ensemble du département. L’ Autorité de Tutelle est l’Agence Régionale de la Santé.   

La finalité de ce service est le développement des compétences des enfants et adolescents avec trisomie 21 pour une autonomie la plus grande possible en milieu ordinaire, le cheminement vers l’autodétermination de la personne, en vue d’une vie d’adulte en milieu ordinaire. 

Le SESSAD s’appuie sur les ressources et compétences de l’enfant, de sa famille et de son environnement et du projet de la famille. Une équipe pluridisciplinaire, composée de médecins, psychologues, psychomotricien, ergothérapeute, éducateurs, chargé d’insertion professionnelle, est chargée d’élaborer et de mettre en œuvre avec la famille, un projet individualisé adapté aux besoins et compétences de l’enfant en fonction de son âge. 

Le projet du SESSAD vise donc à maintenir l’enfant et l’adolescent dans son milieu de vie naturel, dans les conditions les plus favorables à son développement, à son insertion sociale en mettant en place une prise en charge globale, pluridisciplinaire et la plus précoce possible afin de préparer sa vie d’adulte et de citoyen. 

INSERTION PROFESSIONNELLE  

TRISOMIE 21 Gard,  en créant un pôle d’insertion professionnelle a souhaité faire la démonstration   en créant un pôle que des personnes avec trisomie 21 et ou troubles du développement intellectuel, peuvent développer des compétences, et trouver leur place au sein d’une entreprise en milieu ordinaire de travail. Actuellement, 3 services permettent l’accompagnement de personnes dans l’emploi en milieu ordinaire de travail ainsi que l’accompagnement des entreprises employeurs: 

Défi :   Centre de formation    afin de permettre  à des personnes avec troubles du développement intellectuel ou avec trisomie 21, demandeurs d’emploi, d ’accéder  à un emploi en milieu ordinaire de travail avec un contrat de droit commun. La formation se déroule sur Nîmes et Montpellier pour 22 personnes en 2021 

Prodéfi:   Service d’accompagnement au maintien dans l’emploi de salariés en situation de handicap intellectuel  ayant un contrat de droit commun dans une entreprise en milieu ordinaire. Un triple accompagnement est nécessaire : salariés, familles et  entreprises . Actuellement, nous accompagnons 27 salariés, leurs familles et leurs entreprises. 

ESAT T21:  Après 7 ans de partenariat avec l’ESAT Osaris, ouverture le 1er janvier 2021 de l’ESAT T21    « hors les murs ».  Accompagnement de 11 travailleurs en situation de handicap intellectuel dans leurs projets d’insertion professionnelle en milieu ordinaire de travail grâce à des mises à disposition individuelles en entreprise : Passerelle nécessaire à l'obtention d'un contrat de droit commun.
