What an experience. Absolutely loved the stay. My family enjoyed a lot. The staff is very polite, food is amazing. We had tea at the "tapri" in the hotel property along with Pottery making session. The swiming pool was great, the ambience was incredible. Overall an amazing experience.

Overall it's a good place to spend time with family. Staffs are so polite and the property is well maintained. This place doesn't have a bar and they're usually won't allow you to consume liquor outside the room.

Very good location. Very comfortable stay with Family. Stayed here for the second time in a span of 2 years. Same high level service. Staff is always ready to fulfill your requirements with smiling face. Highly recommended for Family as well as for group trip.

Location and views are the best. But not so many activities to do at the resort. Also you will find the room lighting to be a bit dim. Overall it was a great experience.

Lovely location, each room gets a scenic balcony. Food is very super pricy, no alcohol available in the premises. The bathrooms are good but stinks a bit. The last order they take for food is 10 PM, which I think is too early for a holiday resort.

I assure you that you won't regret your stay here, this place was beautiful and very clean, i booked two rooms here, there were also some activities over there like horse riding, puppet show, folk dance, clay utensils making, and many more, also there were complimentary hi tea in the evening, staff was very polite and helpful, place is beautiful, also there was camp fire, little bit issue of wifi sometimes but you wont feel the need of internet if you are at this place. I wanted to book this place for two days but unfortunately it was sold out the next day, i would definitely recommend this place, if you have senior citizen with you then you can request to give you room on the first floor as its bit of tiring there are lots of stairs so, otherwise there's not at all issue. We booked for two nights three days. It was simply superb. Mobile map can lead you to exact place. We reached little late and Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp By Trulyy staff offered complimentary tea and provide enough hospitality at entrance only that my tiredness just gone. Even in winter, we didn't feel so cold while residing in room. Cleanliness. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, tea bag, coffee pouch, hot water jug, etc all basic facilities provided. Two bottles of water complimentary. Water jug was filled with RO water. At night folk dance. Delicious dinner. Camp fire. Everything was very maintained and traditional manner. Next morning had tea it was very tasty. Heavy breakfast with south Indian, North Indian, Gujarati options. Camel and horse ride options available at nominal cost. Good view. Near by to Kumbalgarh fort and keravala village. Very comfortable and luxury stay. Really value for money resort. Comfortable stay. Value for money.

I went to kumbhalgarh safari camp with my family and stayed for one night. Ours was a wonderful experience. At kumbhalgarh safari camp one can see the wonderful mix of activities planned by the owners to make their guests trip to kumbhalgarh a memorable one. Which includes evening chi at in-house tapri, bonfire at lush green lawns, folk dance in the evening. Most exciting for my 1. 5 ye old daughter was camel nad horse rides in the morning post breakfast. Just a 10 min drive from Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp By Trulyy and we were at the magnificent kumbhalgarh fort. The place offers beautiful and comfy swiss tent cottages with a view of lake and mountains. Early birds can enjoy breathtaking sunrise. Food is also good though we only had breakfast here. Had dinner at garh kumbha restaurant, a 5 min drive from our resort. The place is visited mostly by young people. Is cost effective and has a great vibe.

Best thing about the Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp By Trulyy is that it is located on elevation from where it is a great view of mountains and other resorts especially in nightime when lightning makes surroundings and the resort itself glitter in dim perfect lights. Pool is decent, game room is there and there is a huge garden area by the pool. All staff is very well trained and polite. Chef is very good and food is lip smacking. There are around 25 swiss tents on 2 different levels. You can literally watch lakhela lake and tall mountains with chirping of birds. Alcohol is not served in premises but you can by-ob and have fun in resort either in room or garden area. Overall a nice mid budget property which is perfect for all couples, friends and family.

Very nice location and beautiful property. You can view the sunrise from your room. The staff is very polite and pleasant. The icing on the cake was the puri bhaji served in breakfast. The menu is small and not too fancy but it's alright. Unfortunately the cultural show did not happen coz they do that alternate days. The fort is a bit far and the road to reach the Kumbhalgarh Safari Camp By Trulyy is in a bad state. A property worth considering to book if visiting kumbhalgarh. Please ensure you either have your own vehicle or hire a vehicle for an entire day at udaipur airport if planning to visit this place. Without this you wouldn't be able to do anything in kumbhalgarh.

Great location with nice landscape but little overpriced

Food quality is decent and the staff is also very helpful. They've ensured to keep guests engaged with various activities inside their campus like pottery class, folk dance, morning and evening tea at a nice dedicated area - tapri (loved the concept) and of course indoor games like carom, TT and billiards, chess. swimming pool is also very clean. A-la-carte menu is slightly overpriced. We booked for 6 adults and while check-in had a 12 years old child with us. They charged too much for a child's one night stay. The disappointing part was they didn't provide a proper receipt for that.

Wonderful stay

I visited this place recently in may. The check-in was smooth and we were provided the top view rooms on request. Staff is humble and well behaved. We also liked the food. It was above average. Pool experience was the best. They allowed one group/family to access the pool at a time. We were served pakoras and tea/coffee there while were delicious. Overall it was a great experience and loved the view and vibe. Game room could use a new pool table. Air conditioners in the rooms are old and need to be replaced.

We had a 2d/1n stay at this resort. The stay was very good. They have a nice concept of "tapri" and "pottery making" at the resort. We had breakfast and it was pretty good. Only one thing, we had some clay items prepared by the potter which was left for drying outside our room which were not found at the place the next day. As it was a good memory and we were not able to get those items with us back just because it was stolen made us feel bad. The overall experience was good.

Embraced by the alluring charm of the towering Aravalli Hills, Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is also among the best wildlife reserves in Rajasthan! Spreading around 578sq.km. in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, this lush and evergreen forest reserve was once a popular hunting ground and was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1971. Though one of the newest wildlife sanctuaries in Rajasthan, Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary boasts of its fascinating range of wildlife species. If you happen to visit this pictorial reserve during your Rajasthan tour, you can easily spot the imposing Asiatic Lions, Leopards, Chinkaras, Sambhars, Nilgais, Hyena, Jungle Cats, and several other predators.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary also has a significant population of birds like Parakeets, Bulbul, Grey Pigeons, Spur Owls, White Breasted Kingfisher, and lot more. It also boasts of a wide range of flora. Rich and vibrant biodiversity- Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary: The wildlife sanctuary has exotic wildlife species like leopards wolves, sloth bear, nilgai, deer, jungle cat, and chinkara. The forest is also home to more than 200 bird species as well such as grey jungle fowl, peacocks, dove, parakeets, wild breasted kingfishers, and golden oriole, etc.

The Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary will come as a surprise to those who consider Rajasthan a desert state. The green tracts of the park form the dividing line between the former states of Mewar and Marwar. Once the hunting grounds of royals, this area was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1971. The diverse topography of the park adds to its charms. In its eastern part are ranges that loom over 3,478 ft, as well as the source of the River Banas. The Marwar plains lie to the northwest of the sanctuary. The rainwater on the western slopes flows as small rivers such as Sukdi, Mithdi, Sumer, and Kot, all of which are the tributaries of River Luni that ultimately merge into the Arabian Sea. The sanctuary is known to be home to chausinghas (four-horned antelopes), leopards, panthers, and sloth bears.

The Forest Rest Houses in the sanctuary are located at Thandi Beri, Ranakankar, Sumer, Sadri, and Roopanmata. All have two to three rooms each at ₹200-400 per night. For bookings, contact the Assistant Conservator of Forests, Kumbhalgarh WLS, Sadri, or the DFO Wildlife’s office in Rajsamand. The forest guesthouses don’t provide food. How ever, in the rest houses, the caretaker can arrange food on request. Carry your stove or packed meals.

The monsoon in the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary brings on the beautiful flora, and the autumn brings out russet colors. The sanctuary also offers provision for other activities such as jeep safari, horseback safari, and trekking. Many Garasia and Bhils tribals can also be seen here, living in their traditional huts. The natural beauty of the sanctuary attracts tourists from far and wide.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a very large variety of wildlife, and some of them are highly dying out species. The wildlife includes wolf, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, sambhar, nilgai, causing or the four-horned antelope, chinkara, and hare. The birdlife at Kumbhalgarh is also enjoyable. The normally shy and untrusting grey jungle fowl can be spotted here. You will also see the peacocks and doves can be seen regularly feeding on grains provided by the jungle guards and caretakers. Birds like the red spur owls, parakeets, golden oriole, grey pigeons, Bulbul, and white-breasted kingfisher can also be seen near the water holes. Foot trekking and horse safari organized by local tour operators are proving to be very popular. You can take the services of regular buses that start from Udaipur, if you are not interested in a bus ride, you can also hire private taxis to visit this sanctuary.

This hilly, densely forested sanctuary extends over some 600 sq km. It’s known for its leopards and wolves, although the chances of spotting antelopes, gazelles, deer, and possibly sloth bears are higher, especially from March to June. You will certainly see some of the sanctuary’s 200-plus bird species. There’s a ticket office for the sanctuary right beside where the bus drops you off for the Ranakpur Jain temples. Adjacent to the ticket office you can hire a 4WD from Evergreen Safari. The nearest of the sanctuary’s four entrances is 2km from here. Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan is a key attraction for tourists who love to dig deep into history or venture into the wild. With the rugged Aravali Range at the backdrop, the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary encompasses the colossal Fort of Kumbhalgarh as well.

The sanctuary houses a good assortment of fauna and avian species. Several endangered animals can be admired within its premises as well. Wolfs, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, Sambhar, Nilgai, Chausingha, Chinkara and hare along with avian species like Red Spur owls, Parakeets, peacocks, doves, Golden Oriole, bulbul, Grey Pigeons, and White-breasted Kingfisher make the complete list of wildlife delights that can be widely admired.

Jeep Jungle Safari – Jungle Safari in Kumbhalgarh

The 15-km long drive from Kumbhalgarh to Thandi Beri is the most popular jeep journey in the sanctuary. In the 3.5 hours that it takes to get to Thandi Beri and back, you can see leopards, bears, sambar – if you are fortunate that is. You can also visit the famous 15th-century Jain temples at Ranakpur, located at one end of the sanctuary.

Covering a total area of 578 kilometers of the desert landscape, the Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary in Rajasthan is unique in that it displays the activities of the wolf which is rarely found anywhere else. The sanctuary functions as a home to about 40 such wolves. The best time to visit the sanctuary is between October to June. But if you can bear the heat, come during the summer months. Fauna at Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary is home to a variety of species of animals and provides a natural abode to creatures like Wolf, Leopards, Sloth Bear, Hare, Jackal, Sambhal Nilgai, Chausingha (four-horned antelope), Chinkara and Jungle cat. It is, in fact, the only sanctuary in the state where you can see a Wolf in its natural habitat. In summers, you can easily spot a pack of wolfs casually strolling in the park. The sanctuary is a home for about 40 such wolfs. Crocodiles and waterfowl can also be located at Thandi Beri Lake.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife sanctuary also houses an excellent variety of birds. You can see Peacocks, Doves, Grey Jungle Fowl, White Breasted Kingfisher, Parakeets, Red spur Owls, Bulbul, and Golden Oriole. A total of more than 200 species of birds are found in the sanctuary. The sanctuary mainly consists of a variety of herbal flora like Dhok, Salar, Khair, and Churel.

Jeep Safari at Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

The 15 km long safari from Kumbhalgarh to Thandi Beri is the most popular jeep safari in the Sanctuary. It takes around 3.5 hours to get to Thandi Beri and back. There is a four-wheel-drive track within the sanctuary. Several hotels at Kumbhalgarh and also in the vicinity at Kotri, Ghanerao, Narlai, and Ranakpur organize a jeep or horse safari.

The horse tracks include routes from Kumbhalgarh to Ghanerao via Thandi Beri; Thandi Beri to Sumer, Ranakpur to Thandi Beri; and Roopanmata to Ranakpur. On the way, if one is fortunate, leopards, bears, and sambar can be seen roaming around in their natural habitat. You can also visit the Jain Temple at Ranakpur, located at the end of the sanctuary.

Trekking at Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

The hilly terrain of the sanctuary is ideal for trekking expeditions. One popular trail in the sanctuary is the Tirthankar Natural Trail. The 3.7-km long trail is an ode to the Jain Tirthankaras and is also representative of an ideal Aravalli ecosystem. Various plants under which Jain Tirthankaras achieved enlightenment are planted on the sides of the trail.

Other popular trails are Kumbhalgarh to Thandi Beri (14 km), Roopnagar to Sumer (98 km), Ranakpur to Ranakpur (15 km), Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh (25 km), Malgarh to Magga (8 km), Roopanmata to Ranakpur (30 km) and Ranakpur to Thandi Beri (15 km). The entry permit that you received while paying the entry fee is the only document required to do the trekking in the sanctuary.

Places To Visit Near Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Kumbhalgarh fort.

Apart from the sanctuary you can visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort, about 2 km away. It happens to be the second most impressive fort in all of Mewar, after the Chittorgarh Fort. The magnificent fortress houses many palaces and temples which are of great antiquity and interest. One of the important among them is the Badal Mahal or Cloud Palace at the top of the fort which offers scenic beauty of the countryside.

Joba Wolf Point

Another point of interest in the Sanctuary is the Joba wolf point. It is situated about 7 km from Sadri near Joba Village. This is a wolf habitat. It is set in the foothills near the Muchala Mahaveer Temple. The 500 hectares of the forest here is home to the Indian wolf.

Ranakpur Jain Temple

The sanctuary is near the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple. The glorious temple complex is one of the largest and most important of all Jain temples in India. This temple is dedicated to Jain guru Adinath. There are two other Jain temples and a Sun temple nearby.

The Sanctuary is open throughout the year, but March to December is the best time to spot animals.

Stay Near Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

Tourists have the option of staying either in the sanctuary or outside. The Forest Rest Houses are located at Thandi Beri, Ranakpur, Sumer, Sadri, and Roopanmata. All have two to three rooms each at INR 200 to 400 per night. For bookings, you can contact the Assistant Conservator of Forests, Kumbhalgarh WLS, Sadri, or the DFO Wildlife office in Rajsamand.

As people visit the place both for the sanctuary and fort, the peak season is very busy. So, it is advisable to make advanced bookings. 6. Forest guest house does not provide food, but you can request the caretaker to arrange. It is always recommended to carry your stove or packed meals. 7. You must give a try to authentic Rajasthani thali offered at hotels.

How To Reach Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary is located at a distance of 3 km from Kumbhalgarh Fort, 51 km from Nathdwara, 48 km from Rajsamand, and 98 km from Udaipur.

Since the Forest Department does not have its vehicle, the visitors should hire vehicles from Kumbhalgarh or Kelwara. The sanctuary is easily accessible from Udaipur by bus or private taxi.

The Gorky Park

Gorky Park opened in 1928 and was the first holiday park in the Soviet Union with playgrounds, a sports stadium, exhibition halls and attractions for kids. Today it has a fresh, vibrant appearance. By walking along the Moskva River’s bank from the Gorky Park towards Vorobievy Gory (Sparrow Hills) you’ll reach Neskuchny Sad («Not Boring» garden), a wonderful place in the Moscow center, one of Moscow’s oldest parks, charming slice of wildlife. The park mostly consists of pristine forest, dotted with old summer pavilions, ponds and quaint little stone bridges. There are a lot of opportunities for different activities lots of children playground, a ping-pong and chess clubs, football fields and tennis courts, horse riding, tree climbing and having rest in one of the nice cafes.

Hermitage Garden

Hermitage Garden has always been known as an amusement, entertainment center with theatres, shows, cafes, summer pavilions, pergolas since 1830. Shalyapin, Sobinov, Nezhdanova – great Russian opera singers starred on the garden stage. Famous Russian composer Rakhmaninov conducted the orchestra. Sara Bernar, Maria Yermolova, outstanding actresses, played in the open air performances. Tolstoy and Lenin had a stroll in the garden. So lots of celebrities from different epoques liked it a lot and spent their time in Hermitage Garden. You can find here three theatres in the garden: Hermitage, Sphere and New Opera. During winter an ice rink works here and in summer a musical stage is assembled to host jazz and brass band festivals.

In Sokolniki Park visitors can play billiard, chess or draughts, table tennis, as well as go cycling, roller blading and swimming in the summer and ice skating or skiing in winter. Each season is highlighted by special memorable and bright events, for example, Summer Jazz Festival or Baby Fest (for future mums), open air beach disco parties, Ice Cream Day, International Clown Festival and many other shows and exhibitions. The park has an observatory, kids center and a co-working zone with free Wi-Fi which is really nice for spending high quality work time there.

Aptekarsky Ogorod (Apothecary Garden) is one of the oldest gardens in Moscow. It was founded in the XVIII century by Peter the First (great Russian emperor). A larch that he planted himself still grows in the garden, so it’s more than 250 years old. At the time of its foundation, it was a garden with herbs and medicinal plants and was used as an educational center for doctors. Today there are the orangery with its tropical palms, the carp pond, and the immense trees that dot the landscape and turn wonderful golden shades in the autumn. Losiny Ostrov (Elk Island Park) is located at the north of Moscow. It covers 22 km from the west to the east and 10 km from the north to the south and it’s one of the most beautiful national parks in Moscow. Two rivers, Yausa and Pechorka begin here. You can find lots of fields, ponds, meadows, streams in the park as well as elks. Here you can enjoy guided tours, available in English. You can choose a guided tour about flora and fauna of the area, you’ll learn why elks are there, which animals are their neighbors. Or enjoy another excursion, which is totally devoted to historical past of ancient tribes once lived there, you’ll know about old Russian mythology, rituals and traditions.

Serebyany Bor (Silver Forest)

Serebyany Bor (Silver Forest) is a famous pine forest in the west of Moscow. The park has 230 forms of plant life, and is also home to watersports complex, providing a lot of activities for visitors. The layout of Serebryany Bor is unusual, as it is located on an artificial island between a meander in the Moscow River and a channel. There is an artificial lake, the Deep Gulf and picturesque Bezdonnoe (Bottomless) Lake in the depths of the forest. Serebryany Bor’s beaches are the cleanest in the city and very popular among Muscovites. On weekends it is difficult to find a free spot here, especially because a whole range of services are offered to visitors, from simple deckchairs to catamaran and yacht rides. Driving is prohibited on the territory of the island so be ready to use trolleybus to reach the entrance.

Main Botanical Garden of The Russian Academy of Sciences is the largest and most famous is Moscow. The garden is a real museum of nature with a very rich (more than 18000 types) collection of plants. The park was founded in 1945 at the place of the 17th century Apothecaries’ Gardens. The garden’s collection is turned into botanical expositions, made with use of modern receptions of landscape architecture. Here you can see a tree nursery, a shadow garden, hothouse complex, collection of flowers, a rosary, exposition of coastal plants, garden of continuous blossoming, Japanese garden and expositions of cultural plants and natural flora plants. The biggest part of Garden is the Tree nursery occupying the space of 75 hectares. About 2 thousand wood plants grow here. Another big exposition of the Garden is nature Flora, divided into six botanic-geographical collections: European part of Russia, Caucuses, Central Asia, Siberia and Far East. Pride of the Main Botanical Garden is the collection of tropical, coastal and water plants, which is considered as the best in Europe. The Japanese garden, a great model of Japanese landscape gardening art has a 13-level stone pagoda of the 18th century, stone Japanese lamps, ponds, falls and streams, tea lodges and more than 100 species of the most character Japan plants. It is especially decorative in spring, during Oriental cherry blossoming and in fall, when foliage blazes in crimson colors.

Kuskovo Park is one of the oldest country estates in Moscow. It was given to General Sheremetev by Peter the Great in 1715, but was left to fall into neglect before being plundered by Napoleon’s troops in 1812. Nowadays the estate has been restored to its former glory and is a good example of Russian 18th Century imperial architecture. The palace is a fine and rare example of wooden neoclassicism. It was completed in 1775, and the rich interiors remain unchanged since 1779. It includes a room hung with exclusive exquisite Flemish tapestries, an abundance of silk wallpaper and an impressive collection of 18th century European and Russian paintings. The palace looks onto the lake, which is surrounded by smaller pavilions: pretty Italian, Dutch and Swiss Cottages, Blank’s Hermitage and the old Orangery, where the State Ceramics Museum is located now, an extensive and absorbing collection of porcelain from the 18th century to the present day. On the other side of the lake is a large wood popular with local cyclists and joggers.
