Big or small, there are lots of animals to see in Jasper! Elk, deer, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, foxes, coyotes, wolves, and moose are just a sample of Jasper’s many wild mountain animals.
Plus, you’ll learn all about the ways these animals contribute to the rich diversity of the National Park. The guides are well versed in the history, geology, and ecology of the area and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
As the bus travels through the Athabasca Valley you will be shown some of the park’s most beautiful scenery, so have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos of the highlights of your visit. This tour is the perfect way to spend an afternoon and your best opportunity to see the wildlife of Jasper National Park.

The Wildlife Discovery Tour has maximum group size of 28 passengers.
WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES?
Photos of wildlife are usually taken from the inside the vehicle or on the ground at a safe distance from the animals.
What locations will we pick up from?
We pick up from any door or accommodation in the Jasper town site plus some outlier accommodations. Outlier hotels we will pick up from: Jasper Park Lodge, Pine Bungalows, Tekarra Lodge, Alpine Village, Jasper House Bungalows, Beckers Chalets, Patricia Lake Bungalows, Pyramid Lake Resort. Although we do encourage guests (if possible) to come to a central location like the VIA Station (Totem pole) or the Jasper Adventure Centre to meet for any Jasper scheduled tours as this expedites pickups.
What locations do we NOT pick up from?
Sunwapta Resort, Wapiti Campground, Wabasso Campground, Whistlers Campground, Athabasca HI Hostel, Maligne Canyon HI Hostel, Miette Mountain Cabins, Overlander Lodge, Jasper East Gate Cabins and any accommodation in Hinton.
What if I’m staying at Whistlers campground?
While we do not pick up from Whistlers Campground, we will pick up across the street at Jasper House Bungalows. Please arrive at Jasper House Bungalows 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. ie. 8:30am departure meet time 8:15am
What if I’m staying at Pyramid Lake Resort or Patricia Lake Bungalows?
We will conduct our pick ups in advance to expedite pickups. So please be ready 15 minutes before the posted pick up time. (Ex: Tour pick up time is 08:30, please be ready for 08:15)
What is the Cancellation Policy?
To cancel your booking with a full refund please contact us 24 hours prior to departure.

High Season May 1st – September 10th : 5:30pm – 5:45pm Door to door pickup in Jasper 5:45pm – 6pm Jasper Park Lodge.
Shoulder Season September 13th – October 14th : 4:00pm – 4:15pm Door to door pickup in Jasper 4:15pm – 4:30pm Jasper Park Lodge.

Full day tour to the Blue Mountains and Wildlife Discovery tour. My favorite part was the Wildlife Discovery Park. Lots of Koalas and yes you get photos taken with them petting their back with your own camera. Priceless. Kangaroos and wallabies everywhere and yes you can pet and feed. There are other animals as well but these were my favorite.

We booked a 2 hour dolphin tour as a family of 4 with kids age 8 and 12. It was great that we were able to see dolphins on the trip. However we had been assured that the guide would provide lots of interesting commentary on the tour. We were excited to learn more about the history of the area around dingle and its marine life.
1. Monkey Island. Stop: 60 minutes. Of course, our main spot to observe wildlife is the Monkey Islands. They're on the right of the end of the Chagres River. We will get close to 2 or more islands / spots where we generally see various species of Monkeys and other animals. Each time, around 20mn.

But this tour handles it quite well and flexibly! Our tour guide and our driver were extremely friendly and provided interesting facts, even though the long drives could've been used for providing even more information. The bilinguality of the tour was convenient to take pictures while things were explained in the foreign language.
