11 ways to save money on a Disney cruise

Summer Hull

Update : Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here .

Two travel truths right now are that travel has become very expensive and air travel is more unpredictable and unpleasant than normal. Personally, I spent $700 round-trip each on domestic economy tickets to take my kid to summer camp 1,000 miles away. That's absolutely insane.

On the other end of the spectrum, another type of travel is having a different kind of moment.

This type of travel remains affordable and typically isn't as stressful as dealing with airports, delays and cancellations. In fact, I'd argue it's the most relaxing and affordable vacation available right now: a cruise ship.

Personally, I'm partial to Disney Cruise Line .

Disney Cruise Line has a reputation for being expensive and designed just for families — though neither of those things actually has to be true . While these cruises can be more expensive than some other cruise lines, if you can select a port you can drive to, you may be surprised at how affordable a Disney cruise can be when viewed as an all-in vacation price.

Here's how to save money on a Disney cruise — and find the cheaper Disney cruises that start at around $500 per person (based on double occupancy) for the entire experience.

That's less than that painful $700 flight — which, unlike a cruise, doesn't include accommodations, meals or entertainment.

Pick the dates that start at just over $1,000

Yes, Disney Cruise Line costs more than Carnival or Royal Caribbean, but throw away the notion that a Disney cruise is unattainably expensive. It simply isn't true. The peak school break weeks are expensive, but with so many three- and four-night sailings, you can choose a long weekend and avoid those pricey weeks if you want to.

As an example, two people can sail for three nights from Miami to the Bahamas on Disney Dream from Friday, Sept. 9 to Monday, Sept. 12 for just $1255.72 in a verandah cabin (not some windowless inside space).

disney cruise 35 off

Good luck finding a hotel you actually want to stay at that weekend for three nights in Miami for that price — and remember this $1,256 rate is the price for the entire cruise experience, not just the room.

You don't have to sail from Florida ports during hurricane season to find that $1,000-ish price point. You can sail for roughly the same price from Galveston, Texas to Mexico on Disney Magic in January 2023 on a four-night cruise to Mexico for just $1,441 for two people in a balcony cabin.

Adding two kids to that same Galveston itinerary to make a trip for four people would raise the price to $2,324.

Or, sail from San Diego to Mexico starting at $1,086 in an inside cabin or $1,278 for a verandah room.

disney cruise 35 off

Think about it. That $2,324 rate from Galveston for four people works out to $145 per person, per day — which isn't bad compared to what other trips cost these days.

For those same travel dates of Jan. 27-31, 2023, it would cost a family of four $1,444 for four nonstop Basic Economy flights on United from Houston to Cancun. Four nights of lodging at the all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva resort in Cancun (which includes meals, entertainment and a kids club, like the sailing does) come to $3,392 for those four nights.

For the flights and hotel stay, that's just over double the cost of the Disney Cruise for the same number of days visiting roughly the same destination.

Let Disney choose your cabin

A good way to save money on a Disney cruise is to let the cruise line choose your cabin in exchange for a discounted fare. These are called guaranteed rates. You pick the room type (inside, verandah, etc.) but Disney gets to be the one that selects exactly which room within that category you get.

disney cruise 35 off

These fares come with additional restrictions around payments and changes, but you can save up to 35% off the going rates. I've had great success with these discounted fares in the past. As long as you aren't too picky about where your room is on the ship, this strategy can be a tremendous way to save on your Disney cruise.

Book via a travel agent that gives you onboard credit

You can log onto the Disney Cruise Line website and book the cruise yourself, but you may not want to when you know a travel agent can do the work for you — and give you some credit back in the process.

The amount varies, but I've gotten up to $750 as a statement credit when I booked a pricier Disney cruise at the concierge level . On the more affordable cruises and cabins, expect the credit to be more in the $75-$200 range.

disney cruise 35 off

While the amount will vary, you can often get somewhere between 5-10% of the price of your cruise back in the form of a gift card or shipboard spending credit through a travel agent or even via Costco Travel .

If you aren't sure where to start, you can get offers from agents who want to book your cruise — sometimes with extra perks and credits — via Cruise Compete .

Pay with discounted Disney gift cards

At wholesale clubs, such as Sam's Club and Costco, you can reliably purchase Disney gift cards at a discount . Sometimes, these discounts get even bigger around sales such as Black Friday. But on an ongoing basis, you can usually get a $500 Disney gift card for about $485.

That's not a huge discount, but if you paid for your $3,000 Disney cruise with those cards, it would save you $90.

If you have a Target credit card, you can also save 5% on Disney gift cards at Target. On that same $3,000 Disney Cruise, that's $150 saved by going that route.

Remember that you can often earn bonus points with certain credit cards when shopping for Disney gift cards depending on where you purchase them. Office supply stores, grocery stores and even wholesale clubs can be good bonus categories for different rewards credit cards, allowing you to earn 3, 4 or 5 points per dollar on your card while you buy your gift cards.

Use your credit card points

Not all credit card points can easily translate to a "free" Disney cruise, but some can.

The easiest way to do this is to pay some — or all — of the cruise with a credit card that lets you use your points at a fixed value to erase a travel charge. This way, you could book with a travel agent to get that onboard credit and then use your points to wipe out your deposit or final payment.

For example, if you put the charge on your Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card , you could use the miles at 1 cent each in value to wipe out the cost. The first example given, on the three-night cruise from Miami to the Bahamas for $1,255 ,would take about 125,500 Venture miles to fully erase the cash cost.

With those two welcome bonuses currently each at 75,000 bonus miles after $4,000 in spending in the first three months from account opening, that's not an unrealistic goal.

Earn 75,000 bonus miles worth $750 in travel with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card after $4,000 in spending in three months from account opening.

Upgrade at the port for less

This tip isn't exactly about saving money overall, but it is a way to get a better room for less than the original list price.

If the cruise isn't sold out, you can go to a special desk at the port before you board and ask about any space-available discounted upgrades. At Port Canaveral, where all the Disney check-in desks are on the left side of the terminal building, the upgrade desk is the rightmost desk.

disney cruise 35 off

The cost to upgrade will be related to the room type you've booked and the one you'd like to upgrade to. The supervisor will use a pre-printed chart to find that cost differential. It will cost less than if you had booked a better room initially, sometimes by about half, though that number varies.

On our Disney Dream cruise this spring, I was able to upgrade to a larger and more deluxe cabin for $34. Total. Get to the terminal as soon as you can if you are hoping for a suite or concierge upgrade because those are very limited and go quickly.

While I haven't done it, I've also heard that even cheaper prices become available on board once the ship sets sail, though I haven't tried that myself.

Save 10% by putting a deposit for your next cruise down while you're on board

The easiest way to save 10% on a Disney cruise doesn't work for your first cruise, but can work for all subsequent ones.

When you are on a Disney Cruise Line ship, you can put a $250 placeholder deposit down on a future Disney cruise to be used within two years. This can be done in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while on board.

You don't have to pick which cruise you want to do at that moment, but by putting that $250 in a placeholder you can not only apply that $250 when you ultimately pick your next Disney cruise but also save 10% off the rate valid on most dates and room types in the process.

disney cruise 35 off

That one step can save you hundreds of dollars on your vacation. Worst case scenario, that $250 is refunded to you if you don't book another cruise in the next two years. That happened to us during the pandemic, and the money came back automatically and without a problem once the 24 months were up.

BYOB and skip the extras

If you are looking to trim costs on your Disney cruise, bring things from home that you would otherwise likely purchase.

For example, you can bring up to six cans of beer or two bottles of wine per person aged 21 and up. Instead of paying cruise prices for those beverages, you can bring what you want from home at regular land-based prices, up to those maximum limits.

You can also bring one case of unopened water bottles on board. These come in handy for shore excursions or when you need to hydrate by the pool. (Better yet, pack a refillable water bottle.)

Since a Disney Cruise already includes meals, room service, snacks, soft-serve ice cream, fountain drinks and plenty of entertainment, you don't need to spend anything additional on board if you don't want to. This is especially true on a new-to-you ship and on those shorter three- and four-night cruises where there is more than enough to do and explore already.

Just carry on a few beverages and skip all the extras.

disney cruise 35 off

If your sailing goes to Disney Cruise Line's private island, Castaway Cay , beach chairs, umbrellas, the ocean waterslide and lunch on the island are also included at no extra charge.

disney cruise 35 off

Seek out spa discounts

If you're focused on saving money, you'll want to skip the spa entirely on your cruise. But if nothing says vacation like a massage, you can find a discount on onboard spa services on a Disney cruise.

I've received a port day discount that was about 20% off because most people book their treatments on sea days, and the spa is less busy when the ship is docked. The Disney Visa also advertises a 20% discount on select massages or facials on port days on an ongoing basis.

I've also received $50 off a second service while checking out for my first. It's fairly common for cruise ship spas to offer discounts when you book multiple treatments.

disney cruise 35 off

If you don't see a discount advertised, just ask at the spa desk. That's how I got hooked up with spa deals on previous Disney cruises.

Use Disney Visa onboard cruise discounts

In addition to the 20% off select spa treatments, Disney Visa cardholders also get 10% off a Castaway Cay package that includes snorkel gear, a bike rental and an inner tube. Additional discounts include 10% off onboard merchandise purchases of $50 or more and onboard photos.

disney cruise 35 off

If you need time to spread out payments, those with a Disney Visa can also get a 0% annual percentage rate on their Disney vacation for six months. Right now, the card also has a welcome bonus of up to $300 toward a Disney vacation.

Book early and go off-peak

This is a no-brainer tip to avid cruisers, but if you are newer to cruising, know that booking early and sailing off-peak are great ways to save money on a Disney cruise.

I booked our Alaska cruise for the summer of 2023 the day the calendar opened this year because the price typically increases as the sailing date nears. You can sometimes find last-minute specials, but most of the time, cruise prices only go one direction — up.

You'll put 20% down when you first book and then have until much closer to sailing to pay off the remaining 80%.

disney cruise 35 off

Date flexibility will also help you save money on a Disney cruise. The same itinerary that costs $2,000 in September will be up to three times more expensive if you want to sail over winter break.

If you can't find any affordable prices, I recommend scrolling the cruise list by price instead of starting with the perfect date or itinerary. A sailing you may not have initially considered may turn out to be the perfect vacation option.

Bottom line

Believe it or not, a Disney cruise can be much cheaper than a trip to the Disney theme parks. ( A cruise is often much less stressful, too .)

Remember that $2,324 four-night sailing from Galveston to Mexico for a family of four? At $145 per person, per night, it's absolutely less than a trip to Disney World. Park tickets alone these days can be close to $145 per person and Disney resort rooms are $200-$700 or more per night, depending on your resort choice.

Add food costs on top of that, and you're almost certainly well above the price of a Disney cruise.

If you stack on some of these tips to save money on your Disney cruise, you could knock anywhere from 10-25% off the list price, depending on how many of the tips you are able to use.

As for me, I'm seriously contemplating that January getaway from Texas that will take us to Mexico and provide for all our lodging, meal and entertainment needs in the process.

Now I just need to figure out how much in additional savings I can stack onto the already pretty fair rate.

Disney Cruise Line typically releases their itineraries over a year in advance, often offering their lowest standard fares upon public release. By booking their cruise well in advance, guests, including Florida residents, can take advantage of these discounted rates. Additionally, they will have access to a broader choice of staterooms and itineraries, as availability is at its highest when itineraries are initially released to the public.

However, keep in mind that booking your Disney cruise well in advance might make you ineligible for Florida Resident Discounts, which typically emerge just a few months prior to departure. As a result, you must weigh your options – deciding whether to wait for a Florida resident deal closer to the departure date or book early to lock in a lower rate and the best stateroom choices.

Florida residents have the unique benefit of multiple savings opportunities on Disney cruises, making it easier to plan an unforgettable and cost-effective vacation. Reach out to The Vacationeer to discuss your best options and find the perfect cruise for you.

5. Off-Season Savings Opportunities

Florida residents can save on their Disney cruise by traveling during the off-season. With lower prices due to reduced demand, sailing during less busy times offers a more affordable Disney vacation without sacrificing the experience. Consider booking during periods when the kids are in school and demand is lower.

Disney cruises are typically more affordable during:

  • January (except for New Year’s week)
  • Early February
  • May, September, and October
  • Early November
  • Early December

During these less busy periods, you may find lower rates , shorter lines , and less crowded onboard activities . Florida residents have an added advantage with this strategy, as they can travel during off-season dates more easily than those living farther away. As a result, you can enjoy your Disney cruise to the fullest while staying within your budget.

6. Inside Stateroom Savings Potential

Florida residents looking to save on their Disney cruise can opt for an Inside stateroom, which offers a more budget-friendly alternative than Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge staterooms .

While Inside staterooms lack the natural light and views provided by Oceanview rooms or the private outdoor space of Verandah staterooms, they still provide a comfortable and roomy living area for guests to unwind. Inside staterooms differ substantially from the luxurious Concierge category, which features premium amenities and personalized services.

Although Inside rooms are more basic and don’t have a wow factor, they are perfect for travelers who plan on spending most of their time discovering the ship’s numerous attractions and are seeking a budget-friendly option.

To learn more about the various stateroom options and find the perfect fit for your Disney cruise, check out our comprehensive guide to the best staterooms on Disney cruises .

7. Disney Visa Cardholder Exclusive Savings

Florida residents who are Disney Visa credit cardholders can enjoy additional savings on their Disney cruise, including discounts on merchandise, onboard spa treatments, digital photo packages, and packages to Castaway Cay, Disney’s Private Island . These exclusive offers enhance the cruise experience while providing significant savings. Furthermore, Disney Visa cardholders may also receive special onboard credits when booking their cruise, adding extra value for Florida residents.

8. Leverage Disney Cruise Line’s Loyalty Program

Florida residents can access special rates and perks by joining Disney Cruise Line’s loyalty programs, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) and Castaway Club (CC). Both programs offer early booking options, better pricing, and more flexible reservations for cabins and dining.

The Disney Vacation Club is a timeshare program that lets members plan vacations at Disney destinations, including cruises. Members can use their points to book discounted cruises (because they always get “opening day pricing” that doesn’t change over time), attend exclusive onboard events, and save on future cruises.

There are four levels of membership in the Castaway Club , Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Pearl, based on how many cruises you have completed. There are a number of benefits associated with each tier, including priority check-in, early booking for excursions and dining, stateroom gifts, and exclusive events.

Florida residents can maximize their savings and enhance their Disney Cruise Line experience by utilizing these loyalty programs. Choose the program that aligns with your travel preferences and frequency.

9. Monitor Disney Cruise Promotions Closely

In addition to the exclusive Florida Residents Discounts mentioned in the first tip, Florida residents should also keep a close eye on other promotions and special offers from Disney Cruise Line. These can include seasonal discounts, themed cruises, military discounts , and discounts for specific groups. Staying informed about these promotions not only maximizes your savings potential but also helps you find the perfect Disney cruise tailored to your preferences.

Contact The Vacationeer to determine which promotions you may qualify for as a Florida resident, ensuring you get the best value on your magical Disney cruise vacation.

10. Utilize the Expertise of a Disney Travel Agency

These specialized agencies have access to a wealth of exclusive promotions, discounts, and deals that may not be easily found elsewhere. Disney+ Subscribers Save Up to 35% Off Disney World Resorts for Halloween & Christmas 2023

disney cruise 35 off

Walt Disney World has released new Fall & Christmas 2023 resort room-only discounts for Disney+ subscribers that offers up to 35% off regular room rates. This post shares the details of these special offers, commentary about why there’s such a shortage of savings, plus sample pricing, analysis & other info.

This isn’t exactly unprecedented. Last summer and fall, Walt Disney World released two different discounts that were available exclusively to Disney+ subscribers. It’s not a surprise that this special offer is being released…it’s a surprise that it’s the first deal targeted at Disney+ subscribers in 2023. This seemed like a good way to incentivize fans to sign up for the streaming service and pad those stats.

Instead, we’ve seen a relative return to normal for Walt Disney World discounts, including with all of the other special offers released for October through December 2025. These include discounts for both Floridians and Annual Passholders, which are consistent with the last 3 years (and earlier), but with percentage savings that are 5-10% better across the board. More notably, Walt Disney World released the first general public discount for these holiday season since 2019. Now, there’s another Disney+ deal, encompassing some of those same travel dates…

Before starting, we’ll preface this with a reminder that these are highly popular travel dates among Disney fans, and availability is expected to go fast. When it comes to past October through December promos, we’ve had many readers report finding nothing at all–or higher prices–for their travel dates. Where there is availability, it often requires a room upgrade (e.g. from standard to preferred view, 5th sleeper, etc.), thus at least partially negating the benefit of the discount. Just something to keep in mind before getting your hopes up here.

On a different note, if you’re not a Disney+ subscriber, you still should check out this discounts. Unlike Annual Pass discounts, you don’t really need to “crunch the numbers” to determine if you would save more by one member of your party purchasing a Disney+ subscription if you don’t already have one. I can answer that for you right now: you almost certainly will.

The cost of Disney+ for two months is negligible, whereas this could save you several hundreds of dollars. That’s true even as compared to the 5% or so additional savings that this offers as compared to the general public discount Walt Disney World is offering for Fall & Christmas 2023 . In all likelihood, the additional savings will exceed the additional cost.

For this Disney+ subscriber discount, Walt Disney World has brought back the “classic”  You’re Almost in Orbit  virtual queue, beloved among fans who like staring into space. This is used to manage website capacity when demand is expected to be here and, unlike with some past deals, they’re probably right here.

If you’re having an issue with your Disney+ account being recognized, try logging into Disneyplus.com first. You should be able to go into your Disney+ account and update the email address associated with that to match your My Disney Experience account. Should is the operative word, as this won’t always work. If it doesn’t, try calling Disney+ customer service at 888-905-7888. Do not call Walt Disney World, as this is discount drop day and hold times are no doubt astronomical.

disney cruise 35 off

Another option is logging into Disneyworld.com with your Disney+ account login, booking a room under that, and worrying about account consolidation at a later date. (Trust me, you do not want multiple Disney accounts–it causes all sorts of unanticipated problems.)

If you just signed up for Disney+, try again approximately 60 minutes after you subscribed. If you’re still having issues, log out of everything, then log back into Disneyplus.com. After that, visit Disneyworld.com. It should work then. You might need to try private browsing, too. (That’s what I had to do to get the above Canada issue resolved.)

Here are the official details for the new discount: Disney+ subscribers can save up to 35% on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels for stays select nights, October 22 through November 2, 2023 and November 26 through December 25, 2023. Book online or via a travel agent—and get ready for a great getaway.

There’s so much to love when you stay in the magic with the Disney Resorts Collection—especially during the holiday season! Plus, as a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel, you can enjoy early entry to the theme parks 30 minutes before opening to experience select attractions, with valid park admission and a park reservation (not included in this offer).

Here are resort by resort Disney+ savings rates:

Proof of Disney+ subscription required both at booking and upon checking into the resort . Disney+ subscriber with an active subscription must stay in the room. (In other words, you’ll need to subscribe to Disney+ for two months–this month and your travel month–in order to take advantage of this deal.)

This special offer for Disney+ subscribers excludes the following room types: 3-bedroom villas, Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows and The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts and Studios at Deluxe Villa Resorts. Maximum length of stay under this deal is 14 nights.

If you want to take advantage of this discount, we’d recommend  requesting a FREE no obligation pricing quote from Be Our Guest Vacations , an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and having them book for you. They will be happy to assist you with the planning process, help you choose the most economical resort, room options & dates, best add-ons, and so forth. They also monitor reservations and can retroactively apply new discounts if a better deal is released to save you more money.

Below are some of the best available rates we found for this Disney+ Holidays 2023 discount:

disney cruise 35 off

This search is for the night of November 27, 2023, which is part of the “Fall” rate season at Walt Disney World. On the rack rate chart spectrum, this is the least expensive time to visit Walt Disney World in October to December 2023. Similarly-priced dates can be found most Mondays to Thursdays from October into early December 2023, and slightly higher (but still relatively reasonable) rates are available until mid-December.

We’ve had readers ask about finding these rate charts whenever we post them. Rather than going off-topic here, refer to  2023 Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Prices   (the step-by-step process is towards the bottom). Note that this is not an exhaustive list of the lowest rates for all hotels. Some resorts listed above are showing prices for non-standard rooms.

disney cruise 35 off

In general, Friday and Saturday will be the most expensive days of the week, with Sunday through Thursday costing less–but still more than Monday through Wednesday nights. Holiday weeks–and dates closer to Christmas–are also more expensive. Basically, room rates are higher any time when kids are out of school.

For more on timing your trip to coincide with the lowest prices, see When’s Cheapest to Visit Walt Disney World in 2023? That covers price increases and other variables that impact the cost of a vacation beyond just room rates.

disney cruise 35 off

When it comes to commentary, we already covered all of the “usual suspects” about the exhaustion of pent-up demand when discussing the general public promo for October through December 2023 (see that for a thorough discussion of why these deals are so good). Suffice to say, Walt Disney World releasing 4 different discounts for the holiday season–typically the busiest time of the year–after offering table scraps for the last few years, is definitive confirmation that revenge travel is finished.

We pretty much already knew this. CFO Christine McCarthy warned investors of a slowdown in demand as Walt Disney World “lapped” the 50th Anniversary. Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro reiterated this recently, contrasting the performance of the Florida parks with Disneyland, which reopened almost a year later.

We’ve seen a slowdown in crowds ourselves , with wait times data being down relative to the same dates last year. Still, we wondered whether the last three months of the year would defy those trends. October through December always outperforms, even at times when the rest of the year is slower.

disney cruise 35 off

With the release of the best resort discounts since 2019, now we have our answer. Walt Disney World isn’t just anticipating a slow summer–they’re forecasting a downturn in demand for the remainder of the year, and perhaps beyond. In all likelihood, what “slowdown” means here isn’t some catastrophic drop in demand–it means a reversion to the norm from the stratospheric performance of the last few years.

What  that means is you shouldn’t look at this sudden surge in savings and think you’re smelling blood in the water, and wait for even better discounts. October through December is still the biggest time of year for Walt Disney World resorts, and the company is pulling a lever to entice more bookings, not sounding a five-alarm fire. (We know a lot of doom and gloomers are actively rooting for Walt Disney World to fail as comeuppance for this decision or that, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon.)

disney cruise 35 off

To that point, you might actually have issues finding availability with this or any of the discounts released by Walt Disney World for the final quarter of 2023. The longer your trip, the more likely you’re going to have issues finding the resort or room category you want. Even prior to this discount being released, we had been searching for ~4 night stays throughout the holiday season and were having difficulty finding options at our resorts of choice.

As such, we’d strongly recommend being flexible on travel dates or resort options. Get creative when searching Disneyworld.com, and embrace the split stay. ( We are strong advocates of split stays , and they’re especially great during the holiday season!)

disney cruise 35 off

Some readers complained about the previous Disney+ deals at Walt Disney World, but we think that’s misguided. From our perspective, this is significant in it’s an affiliation offer with a very low barrier to entry. Subscribing to Disney+ is much cheaper than buying an Annual Pass or moving to Florida. (And as attractive as the latter option might sound to WDW diehards, it’s definitely not for everyone!)

Despite that, many members of the general public simply won’t even consider doing that in order to qualify for these savings. That makes no economic sense–spending $7 to potentially save hundreds of dollars on a hotel is an absolute no-brainer decision–but it’s how deals like this always play out. Any  barrier to entry is too much for many people. That’s bad for those who don’t do their due diligence, but great for those who do–it means less competition. (This is the Walt Disney World vacation planning story, in a nutshell.)

disney cruise 35 off

As for why Walt Disney World is making it easier to qualify for an affiliation discount on rooms, the answer is simple: Disney+ is the company’s focus and fixation. There’s a misconception about Disney+ being incredibly profitable–quite the opposite is true. The company is literally losing about $1 billion on streaming services every quarter. I’m no math whizz, but that seems like a lot of money to me.

Disney+ is a strategic pillar that’ll be important to the company for years to come, but it’s still losing money as the company attempts to gain market share. In so doing, Disney is spending colossal sums on content and user acquisition. While this deal appears to be a perk for Disney+ subscribers, it’s also another attempt to incentivize new subscriptions. (Every single streaming service is heavily subsidized right now–none are viable with their present business models, so enjoy this while it lasts!)

disney cruise 35 off

Hence this Disney+ subscriber discount on Walt Disney World resorts.

It’s a way to juice Disney+ subscriber numbers, which will in turn help the company beat analyst expectations and impress Wall Street, which will in turn boost the company’s stock price. For better or worse, the company revolves around Disney+ right now. It is the  big thing.

disney cruise 35 off

Ultimately, if you’re Disney+ subscriber who is eager for a Christmas vacation at Walt Disney World and you are not an Annual Passholder, these deals are as good as it’s going to get. With Hotwire and Priceline deals drying up and it being too late for renting DVC points (except for matching with a confirmed reservation) , your only other alternative is checking out off-site or third party hotels, both of which do have better deals for holiday travel dates.

With that said, we will be closely monitoring what’s released in terms of early 2024 discounts at Walt Disney World, and will notify subscribers of our free email newsletter when any Walt Disney World discounts are released or rumored!

YOUR THOUGHTS

What do you think of these Walt Disney World room only discounts for Disney+ subscribers? Disappointed that this only encompasses certain dates between Halloween and Christmas 2023? If you booked this, do you think you ended up with a good price or do you feel like you’re overpaying? What was available or unavailable for your dates? Is this deal enough to convince you to book a trip, or can you not justify these prices? Do you agree or disagree with our assessments? Any questions we can help you answer? Hearing your feedback–even when you disagree with us–is both interesting to us and helpful to other readers, so please share your thoughts below in the comments!

Hey, Tom! Thank you for being my favorite resource for all news Disney-related. Your perspective is always honest and attempts to be unbiased are appreciated.

I am tickled that discounts have been released for Disney+ subscribers, but my brain is spinning trying to figure out which 1BR would be the best bet to book for a late January trip with my sister and Dad (who has kidney disease). Neither have been to WDW before and I’m really hoping Dad will be up for the trip, It is the risk he won’t that keeps me from renting DVC points for the trip and going directly with Disney instead. I’m also wondering if it would be a good idea to apply for a Disney Visa to have in-hand, just in case they roll out more of those discounts for that time period. Finally, is it typical for Boardwalk Villas to be excluded from discounts? I believe the other discounts I checked had them listed at one of the upper tiers. Do you have any thoughts?

' src=

[email protected] Why are 3 bedroom villas always excluded from any discounts?

' src=

Why does the Disney+ discount just show the same as the original rate? Seems like the disney+ discount is zero on most resorts.

' src=

I applied this offer to current trip in December at the Contemporary and saved $1200 plus an extra day of tickets. Nice surprise for sure.

' src=

I am planning a trip to DW in December, but how can I sleep 3 nights and only have a ticket for 2 days? Automatically puts 3 days thus raising the cost of the holiday. Is the Disney+ offer also valid for Europeans or only for the USA?

' src=

I’ve been getting that “You’re in Orbit” waiting room since last month. A few times I was in the waiting room for 25 minutes

' src=

Hi Tom, I booked our holiday last year right on the 499 day window, hoping this discount would become available. Exceptionally excited as we are travelling 1/2 way around the earth to visit DW. For us it’s a once in a lifetime trip. After reading this blog frequently I have been able to gauge the best time to go, thanks to your information and plenty of research. We are start on the Sunday of thanksgiving and leaving 12 days later. This discount for us is wonderful, and, realistically we will spend up on merch that we don’t need, but haha will still get! I have to admit I am shocked to hear Disney + is bleeding a billion dollars every quarter. That’s nuts! I do agree it’s an excellent affiliation offer for those international guests such as us! BRING ON THE TRIP I SAY!

' src=

Awesome timing–hope you have a great trip, and pack an extra duffel back to bring home all your souvenirs! 😉

Disney’s new cruise ship will have ‘Heroes and Villains’ theme

Disney Cruise Line revealed the name of its next ship, the Disney Destiny, along with details...

(Gray News) – Disney Cruise Line announced details about its next ship Wednesday, the Disney Destiny.

Inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose, the design theme of the new ship will be “Heroes and Villains.”

Guests on board the Disney Destiny will encounter heroes and villains drawn from Disney stories, characters and theme park attractions, and will be able to “embrace their own calling.”

“The Disney Destiny will celebrate our most legendary Disney stories and characters, bringing them to life in new and exciting ways exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager.

The company also unveiled the filigree artwork for the bow of the Disney Destiny, featuring Minnie Mouse “striking a valiant pose in a heroic ensemble, her cape waving majestically in the sea breeze as she boldly leads guests toward their vacation destinies.”

“As we continue to expand our fleet, the Disney Destiny will further strengthen our position as a leader in family cruising as we offer even more ways for families to experience Disney magic and world-class service at sea,” Siskie added.

The Disney Destiny is scheduled for delivery in 2025 as part of a multi-year expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Disney Cruise Line is adding another ship to its fleet!

Introducing the Disney Destiny , a ship with a "first-of-its-kind" design theme centered on Disney heroes and villains. It'll draw inspiration from Disney stories, characters and theme park attractions.

New visuals from Disney show beloved characters like Hercules, Simba, Cruella de Vil, Scar and Hades.

disney cruise 35 off

"The Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams were inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.
