Good thank you

What an amazing place! We are so glad we were able to go. The tour company is very organized. Our Navajo guide, Malcolm was awesome!

Wonderful trip with Tyrone! He was funny and helped us get terrific pictures. Great guy. We had waited for years to see Antelope Canyon. Well worth it.

Easy handling for the ticket purchase. Thanks

Detailed information is well provided.

I had a great experience with this tour team. They responded my request for 1 person refund, they made it so quickly and smoothly. I really recommend this tour team!.

Great experience, our guide Jerry was great. Most beautiful scenery. A must see

Wonderful experience! It doesn't matter if you go with a large group, you can enjoy every single moment.

It was a long wait because the time slots were backed up from the rain. But it was still worth it!

Great experience

It was amazing

Making a reservation was very easy, and the guidance was well provided. Compared to other sites, the prices were reasonable. I will book a tour through this site again next time.

So far so good…it was easy to understand and we went through the steps to get our reservations in a timely manner. We are excited for our trip in March

Best customer service, quick response on emails.

Tony, our guide, did an awesome job! He is a wizard in photography to help you get some great photos! Great tour, highly recommended.

Our family of 6 loved this tour! Short enough (about 1 hr) to hold our kids attention yet long enough to get the most amazing photos!

Booking our trip was super simple!

Easy to use

We did the Lower Canyon and absolutely loved it. Staff at reception counter was courtesy and our guide had a fun personality and we appreciated his humor, he paid great attention to his group, we appreciated the history he shared with us about the area and canyon. Would recommend this tour group!

Thanks, every thing is perfekt!!

Axing experience! Jerry Sr was definitely a great tour guide!

It was easy, I hope the esperienze will be infine with fare that is quite expensive

It took me a moment to fully navigate the page, but the booking process was easy and transparent, and I didn't feel like I had to worry about fine print

This easily was one of the most indescribably beautiful places I’ve ever visited or experienced. Our guide Ana was amazing and took lots of photos of us, very helpful and informative. Do not miss this—truly amazing and the site of Microsoft screensavers and award winning photographs.

Amazing customer service! My husband and I were late because we didn’t take into account the time zone, and without any questions the lady at the ticket box just signed us up for the next one. The guide was a young man, early twenties, and he was extremely nice and had a great personality. Answered any questions and even offered to take pictures for all members of the group. Fantastic and unforgettable experience!!

Great tour and guide

this is really good!!!

we loved the tour, we had the best guide " BEN" in the whole world, Ben gave us lot of interesting information, he was very patient and i think he was better than all the tour guides. Bocaue one group was behind us and one was front of us, but he was the only one i saw was very friendly and he took our pictures, he set up all of our phone, we were group of 12 ppl, he took every one of our pictures, greeted us in our language. Tour was good but he made it the BEST.

A must see in Page! Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. I would recommend not using the shuttle service, the waiting area is easy to drive to and you won’t have to sit around for long periods of time waiting for your driver.

The lower canyon tour is amazing! If you are able to hike it, I would suggest that one. Our tour guide Keanu was absolutely the best. Malcom also provided so much information. Keanu took the time to take photos for everyone in our group. As a photographer I can tell you, trust him with your phone. You will not be disappointed. The entire staff is polite and seems to be very proud of their natural wonder. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing experience, our tour guide Jonas was fantastic. This trip has been on my bucket list for quite some time. So glad we finally got to see the canyon. Plan ahead as this tour sells out way in advance, and be on time for your scheduled booking. The instructions are very clear about their timeliness policy. This keeps the tours running on schedule for the day.

Great tour and friendly guides, quick 1h15 min tour right from the parking lot. Small Groups of 15 people but be prepared to wait. Canyon is narrow so single file is required. You can't bring bags of any type and good walking shoes are recommended. We went at 12pm in the winter but the sun wouldn't shine all the way down, summer probably better for lighting

The most beautiful place I have ever seen!! All the people were so friendly and our tour guides that we had were outstanding! I cant stop talking about how amazing everything was and everyone ive shown pictures to cant believe they are real. Definitely coming back again in the future!

Easy to book by using alternative tour options available

This was the most amazing experience. Our tour guide was so awesome and full of knowledge. He even showed us how to take some fun pictures and capture some amazing shots. Highly recommend booking with them!

Marvin and Leslie were top notch guides and I had an amazing time at the lower antelope Grand Canyon. I thought the hike was going to be longer and there was more time left but for some reason it was relatively short. The amount of stops and breaks was sufficient and vegetarian food was alright. I enjoyed the movies they played throughout the ride as well as the stories Marvin shared. My group was really great and we made it back to Vegas on time.

Very straightforward booking ( and paying for ) Antelope Canyon trip. Made booking well in advance of chosen date , so had excellent choice of time slot!

Very good experience

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Dena was our guide and she helped us take great photos and to experience the beauty and history of the canyon.

Great booking experience. Will update again after the visit.

Absolutely loved the tour. Our guide Daron was the best. We have such a great time walking through the canyon and listening to his stories about how the canyon formed and all other interesting stuff. He's also a good photographer! The pictures he took of me and my friends were awesome!!! We didn't have any cash with us and were not able to tip him :( i wish they had paypal, Venmo barcodes so people can tip the tour guides. 5 out of 5!!

Good experience overall and prompt booking confirmation!

Super recommended excursion, the guides are friendly and explain the entire route very well

Malcom is one of the best guides I’ve ever met.

Easy to use. Hope there is a wonderful trip later. Thank you!

The booking process was easy, now just anxiously awaiting the trip.

Ben was our guide, and he was very informative and knowledgeable. He advised us on how to take the best pictures and also took great pictures of us at different spots. Definitely recommend this experience!

Jayc was a wonderful guide! She shared a lot of great historical information about the canyon, and was very helpful giving us help with photos.

Very easy to book

Tour guide was amazing. Help with our phones took amazing pictures. She deserves a raise. Very knowledgeable

Lower Antelope Canyon was an amazing experience. Our guide Jacob was awesome and not only told us all the stories of the canyon, but also pointed out the best photo shots and items of interest. He even played the music flute for us in the canyon. Our personal photos look like those on your website, which to capture the same image ourselves was not only fantastic but incredible. It was certainly a highlight of our canyon adventures and one that will always be remembered when back in Australia. Liza & Chris.

This was an experience we have been wanting to do for five years and so glad we finally did. Our driver/guide Rib was amazing. Incredibly informative and patient. Chris at Monument Valley and Muskogee at the canyon were also excellent. Only downside was we were taken unawares at how strenuous the climbing in the lower antelope canyon was. It was worth it, but at times was somewhat frightening. Myako couldn’t have been more helpful and patient.

Stop thinking and BOOK THIS TOUR!! Kyle was our guide and he was AMAZING! He showed us on his phone when the canyon had flooded, provided us with insight about the area and the Navajo, and played the Navajo flute for us. He also gave the best tips about photo taking and showed us the best place to take photos. He’s a genius! There was also a hoop dancer sharing his craft while we waited for the tour to begin. There was also a gift shop/snack bar! Be advised: they have a strict no bag policy; I saw some people arguing this point. It’s really no big deal, just plan ahead.

easy to book and we look forward to our upcoming experience to visit Lower Antelope Canyon later this month!

We had absolutely fabulous time at animal Canyon. Our guide, Eder, was amazing, and showed us how to get the best photos in the canyon. We almost didn’t go here on our two-week road trip, but some friends of ours suggested it and we are so glad we went out of our way to come here. One of the highlights of our trips.

Our guide, Tony, was amazing. He was very informative and gave us lots of information. He took time to help us set our camera settings for the best pictures and he even took pictures of us. All of our pictures turned out amazing. It is definitely worth the trip to see the lower canyon and I just can't say enough good things about our experience it was wonderful.

Our tour guide was amazing good and he made our visit memorable with a lot of knowledge. I guess his name was Robert Bluekake.

Great organization and very nice person!

Beautiful trip and explaination

It was an amazing experience & enjoyed our visit there

This is a long day but I have to give credit to the staff for making it all happen successfully and safely. From the early start to the late finish the staff politely kept us on time so we wouldn't miss our canyon walks while providing complimentary water, energy bars and later a turkey (or veg) sandwich. That said, what really kept me going was the humor and motivational steers from our host so a big thank you to the crew!

Fairly straightforward booking site for tours into Antelope Canyon.

Really, reallye great stuff. Our tourguide has done a good job - he made a lot of photos for us with many tips and tricks for using our phones (Apple &Samsung)

Magnifique visite d’un lieu magique. Organisation parfaite un guide pro et sympa… qui ma?trise la photo sur smartphone !!

We have been in the lower antelope 7:45 tour and it was beautiful. Huge credit to our guide Nate who knows every corner of the Canyon, is really friendly and funny and knows how to take the perfect picture in every single step. If you are doubt, you should definitely book this activity, it will add something special to your trip.

Superbe exp?rience, bon rythme avec le guide et la possibilit? de prendre beaucoup de photos. Guide tr?s sympathique et serviable. Je voyage solo et il a pris une dizaine de photos de moi avec sourire et gentillesse.

I have great time, it's beautful place.

It was an absolutely fantastic tour to see the Upper Antelope Canyon. The guide was very helpful with some great shots along the way. Spectacular.

Beautiful! Guide Amber was AWESOME, and so sweet! She took many pics for us, she knows the great spots for photos. Definitely recommend!

Excellent tour!

Beautiful tour!

Ken is a tour guide. He is very professional, respectful, fun, and well rounded. I will recommend this company because of Ken! Thank you for making this trip a beautiful memory. He took pictures for us, and please show the local tour guide your appreciation by listening to what to do and what not to do while your in there, also giving gratuity to the tour guide since he does such a great job taking your pictures! dont worry about not getting good pictures Ken knows what to do. Recommend!!!

Such a memorable visit. The location - the canyon - lived up to expectations, or actually exceeded them. The tour was world class. Our guide, Ian, was so knowledgeable, friendly and thoughtful. He gave us so much respect for Dixie, and the work culture you maintain. Thank you!

The trip was wonderful

Its was very beautiful and the men of the guide was so good. We enjoy a lot. Thank you.

Jose was an super Guide, we had a wonderful time there.

As Canadians, we first thought the price was a bit steep but it was on our bucket list so we went ahead and booked. Well, what an amazing experience! Our guide Kayson was knowledgeable, funny and very helpful. He assisted us with our cameras to get the most perfect photos and constantly checked on our safety. I would highly recommend this tour and it was well worth every penny! Thank you!!

It was the most incredible tour we’ve ever been on! Our guide, Kayson, was extremely knowledgeable, humorous and helpful especially with assisting us to capture the best photos! Thank you so much!

A realy good Guide with beautiful pictures and a nice hour of Wow !!!

Fast Respond and can give suggestion from our inquiries

Luckily we booked the tour a couple of days before and managed to get a couple of spots for canyon X. The driver Wayne was great, very entertaining and did his best to ensure we had maximum time at Horseshoe and the Canyon. He gave a lot of interesting facts about vegas, places on the way and the canyons. He was very honest, friendly and funny. We also had an amazing guide at canyon X (Marco). He was patient with us, never rushed us and most importantly, he helped us get amazing pics that looked like a professional photographer took them. He recommended the best spots to take pics and even changed the settings on our phones for the best effects and took them for us at times. I wholeheartedly recommend the tour, it was a fantastic experience and I’m so glad I got to experience and see it in my lifetime. My only comment would be, for the high price and taking into account we only have two very short stop times/rest breaks, food or a lunch should have been included. We left at 5.30am and arrived back at 8pm. In the approx 5hrs on the way there, we only had 1x 20/25mins rest stop to use the bathroom and get food with only one very slow, understaffed, average food option available. There were much better places with more food options we could have stopped at for the break. The 20/25mins stop on the way back was MUCH better, great selection of food choices and a lot more staff around to help.

The trip was great, had a lot of fun. Leo and Marvin were great as well. Would recommend. Make sure you are on time though, they can be strict about it.

customer service staff was extremely friendly and helping explaining the details on the Lower Antelope and Horseshoe bend tour.

I really enjoyed it that was awesome!

That was really amazing experience!!

Excellent service. I loved every moment with them. Thank you so much!

Excellent trip. Outstanding crew. Safe drivers. Good caring like loved ones. Good knowledge sharing by wine(sorry if spelling is wrong). One suggestion: Bus staring point need be given correctly as we are new to that place and nobody knows Belly’s north point. It’s Uber pickup point. Better send the pinned location through SMS

15 Best Things to Do in Page (AZ)

In my opinion, Northern Arizona offers a lot of wonderful experiences, and I’ve discovered that the small town of Page in Coconino County serves as an excellent base for visitors, with numerous activities right at its doorstep. One of the major advantages of Page is its close proximity to the Grand Canyon, which can be reached within a couple of hours by road.

Located on the southern shores of Lake Powell, Page boasts vast expanses of water that are perfect for those who enjoy being outdoors and engaging in physical activities. Despite its small population of only 7,500 people, Page benefits from a pleasant climate, thanks to its altitude of approximately 4,000 feet.

For campers and hikers like myself, Page is a dream destination. Additionally, if you want to be even closer to the water, you have the option to rent a houseboat on the lake—an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the serene surroundings.

Without further ado, let me share with you a list of 15 fantastic things you can do in Page before continuing your journey.

1. Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon

As an Arizona enthusiast, one of the places I highly recommend visiting is Antelope Canyon, which happens to be one of the most photographed sites in the entire state. It’s important to note that this stunning canyon is located on Navajo land, and in order to explore it, you’ll need to have a Navajo guide accompany you.

Taking a guided tour is truly the best way to experience the beauty of Antelope Canyon, and the entire excursion typically lasts a little over an hour. If you’re eager to capture breathtaking photographs during your visit, many experts suggest opting for a tour in the late morning. This is when the sunlight enters the canyon, creating a mesmerizing effect that amplifies its allure.

While both the upper and lower sections of the canyon offer their own unique charm, it’s worth mentioning that the upper stretch tends to be more popular among visitors. Moreover, if you have limited mobility, I would recommend choosing the upper section as it’s more accessible and accommodating.

2. Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

I’m thrilled to tell you about the remarkable Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, which happens to be the largest park in the entire southwestern USA, encompassing a staggering 1.8 million acres. However, I must mention that its size has been recently reduced by presidential proclamation. As with many national monuments, they are established by US presidents and are managed by various federal agencies.

This extraordinary monument stretches across both Utah and the state line, extending from the awe-inspiring Colorado River all the way to the breathtaking Bryce Canyon National Park. Over the years, numerous excavations have taken place within its boundaries, leading to the discovery of remarkable prehistoric animal fossils that continue to captivate the imagination.

It’s truly a place where the past comes to life, offering an incredible opportunity to explore the remnants of ancient creatures that once roamed this land.

3. Carl Hayden Visitor Center

Carl Hayden Visitor Center

If you’re curious to delve deeper into the fascinating world of the Glen Canyon Dam and its profound significance, I highly recommend visiting the center located near the Glen Canyon Bridge. This educational center is aptly named after a distinguished congressman and senator who played a pivotal role in water management in Arizona.

Once inside, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history of water storage in the Colorado River Basin, with a specific focus on the Glen Canyon region. The center offers a wealth of resources to enhance your understanding, including informative maps, captivating videos, engaging exhibits, and even a bookstore where you can browse through a wide array of literature.

4. Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam

Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam

Ever since the Glen Canyon Dam was constructed back in 1963, the magnificent Lake Powell came into existence, serving not only as a vital water storage facility but also as a remarkable source of electric power for the surrounding region.

A visit to Lake Powell presents an abundance of delightful opportunities for a memorable day out. From embarking on boat excursions and marveling at the towering 700-foot dam, to indulging in the serenity of fishing or kayaking on its tranquil waters, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Moreover, the local Natural History Association offers insightful tours of the dam itself, providing a deeper understanding of its engineering marvel.

With a sprawling length of 186 miles, Lake Powell stretches out majestically, boasting an impressive surface area of approximately 266 square miles and an average depth of 132 feet. These dimensions alone showcase the sheer grandeur and breathtaking expanse of this picturesque reservoir.

5. John Wesley Powell Museum

John Wesley Powell Museum

Allow me to share with you the remarkable tale of John Wesley Powell, an extraordinary one-armed soldier, scientist, and pioneer who played a pivotal role in bringing the majestic Colorado River to the attention of the public. Almost 150 years ago, Powell embarked on daring expeditions, navigating the river in modest boats—an astonishing feat in itself.

To honor his legacy, there is a museum named after him that unveils the captivating story of his expeditions while also providing a wealth of information about the history of Page, the very place we find ourselves in.

One particular section of the museum that captivates visitors is dedicated to geology and paleontology. Here, you’ll find astonishing excavations dating back millions of years, unveiling the secrets of ancient landscapes. It’s truly a fascinating journey through time.

Furthermore, the museum goes beyond geological wonders, delving into the rich tapestry of the region’s inhabitants. From the ancient Anasazi civilization to the vibrant cultures of Native Americans, the museum showcases the heritage of the early peoples who called this land home.

6. Coconino National Forest

Coconino National Forest

Coconino National Forest, located in North America, stands out as a truly exceptional woodland haven brimming with an astonishing array of diversity. Within its expansive boundaries, you’ll have the privilege of immersing yourself in contrasting landscapes, from the enchanting desert and sprawling tundra to the majestic ponderosa pine forests and the iconic red rocks of Sedona.

For avid hikers and camping enthusiasts like myself, this forest is an absolute paradise. Prepare to be enthralled by the wonders that await you—charming small lakes, awe-inspiring mountains, picturesque valleys, and meandering streams boasting crystal-clear freshwater.

In addition to its breathtaking scenery, Coconino National Forest provides a haven for a multitude of wildlife species. The forest teems with over 300 bird species, an impressive variety of 100 mammals, and a diverse collection of reptiles and snakes, making it a true haven for nature enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.

While exploring this remarkable forest, it’s essential to uphold the nature-lovers’ mantra of “leave no trace” by ensuring you leave behind no trace of your visit and carry out all your trash with you. By embracing this mindful approach, we can collectively protect and preserve the natural beauty of this pristine wilderness for generations to come.

7. Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

There are certain places that defy capture through a photograph, as they possess a captivating allure that can only be fully experienced with your own eyes. Horseshoe Bend is undoubtedly one such location. This striking bend in the Colorado River, forming a perfect horseshoe shape, may be one of the most photographed natural wonders in the area, but its true magnificence can only be comprehended in person.

One of the remarkable aspects of visiting Horseshoe Bend is the freedom to get as close as you desire, as there are no railings or entrance fees hindering your exploration. However, it is crucial to exercise caution and be mindful of your surroundings while venturing close to the edge.

The hike to Horseshoe Bend and back spans a mere 1.5 miles, but be prepared to pause frequently along the way, unable to resist capturing the breathtaking scenery through your lens. Keep in mind that shadows can affect the quality of photographs at certain times of the day. To capture the best possible image, aim to arrive around midday when the lighting conditions are most favorable.

8. Waterholes Canyon

Waterholes Canyon

I had the opportunity to explore the remarkable trail of Waterholes Canyon, which winds its way through a captivating landscape of vibrant red sandstone before leading to the majestic Glen Canyon. As I ventured along the trail, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the sight of water flowing on both sides of the US89 highway, gradually deepening as it continued its course.

However, it’s important to note that in recent years, access to Waterholes Canyon has become restricted. Just recently, it was announced that both federal and tribal laws prohibit entry into the canyon without joining an organized tour conducted by the Navajo. This measure ensures the preservation and protection of this remarkable natural gem.

While exploring these areas, it’s always wise to value the insights and knowledge of the locals. Their expertise can provide valuable guidance and enhance your overall experience. Additionally, traveling with a companion or as part of a group is strongly advised for safety reasons.

9. Lee’s Ferry

Fly-fishing at Lee's Ferry

My journey into the history of Lee’s Ferry began with a glimpse into the early days of white settlers arriving in this region. As I explored the area, I discovered a cluster of well-preserved historic buildings that stand in close proximity to the modern settlement. Among the intriguing remnants of the past, I came across the remnants of a ferry crossing nestled within the magnificent Glen Canyon.

A short distance away from Lee’s Ferry lies the vibrant town of Page, a mere 10 miles apart. Here, an extraordinary opportunity awaits—to embark on a captivating boat tour along the awe-inspiring Colorado River. Drifting down this majestic river, which serves as the natural border between Arizona and Utah, I couldn’t help but marvel at the breathtaking scenery that unfolded before my eyes. Alternatively, if you’re in the mood for a more tranquil experience, the banks of the river offer a perfect spot for a little fly-fishing. The surrounding landscapes create an idyllic backdrop as you cast your line and try your luck at catching trout. It’s truly a rare combination of thrilling outdoor sport and the embrace of nature’s stunning beauty.

10. Rainbow Bridge National Monument

Rainbow Bridge National Monument

When I learned about Rainbow Bridge, it fascinated me to think that it was only discovered by white settlers around a century ago. Native Americans, on the other hand, have held this awe-inspiring natural bridge in sacred regard for centuries. Recognizing its significance, President Taft declared it a national monument shortly after its discovery.

Rainbow Bridge National Monument stands as one of the largest natural bridges known to exist worldwide. Out of respect for its cultural importance to Native Americans, visitors are now kindly asked not to walk beneath the bridge. However, this request doesn’t pose a significant inconvenience because the most breathtaking views of the bridge are actually best captured from a short distance away. By taking a few steps back, one can frame the complete expanse of the bridge in a single photograph, truly capturing its magnificence.

As I stood there, witnessing the grandeur of Rainbow Bridge, I couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of reverence for this natural wonder. The bridge’s striking beauty, combined with its rich cultural significance, creates an experience that goes far beyond mere photographs. It serves as a reminder of the deep connection between nature and spirituality, a bridge between ancient traditions and the modern world.

11. Vermilion Cliff National Monument

Vermilion Cliff National Monument

I had the incredible opportunity to explore the vast expanse of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, a stunning landscape that spans almost 300,000 acres. This expansive monument encompasses remarkable features such as the towering Vermillion Cliffs, the picturesque Paria Plateau, and a myriad of captivating buttes and canyons. As I ventured through this diverse terrain, I marveled at the elevation range, which stretches from just over 3,000 feet to a breathtaking 6,500 feet.

For those yearning to immerse themselves in the natural splendor of Arizona, local assistance is readily available to plan a backpacking adventure spanning several days within the monument. Such an excursion offers a unique opportunity to embrace the awe-inspiring landscape and encounter the vibrant flora and fauna that call this place home. There is truly no better way to connect with nature than by embarking on a backpacking journey through this pristine wilderness.

As I set up camp just outside the boundaries of the monument, I relished the tranquility of the surroundings, eagerly anticipating the hiking adventures that awaited me. However, it’s important to note that a permit is required for hiking within the monument. This measure ensures the preservation of the natural environment and helps regulate the number of visitors, allowing for a sustainable and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

12. Tower Butte

Tower Butte

Embarking on a helicopter tour from Page Airport was an extraordinary opportunity that allowed me to witness the majestic Tower Butte in all its glory. This remarkable rock formation juts out from the desert landscape, beckoning with its awe-inspiring presence.

As our helicopter soared towards Tower Butte, I marveled at the flat top that served as a landing pad for our aircraft. Touching down on the butte, I was instantly greeted by a 360-degree panoramic vista that took my breath away. The unobstructed views allowed me to immerse myself in the stunning beauty of the surrounding landscape, capturing unforgettable photographs that would forever preserve this moment in time.

During the flight, our skilled pilot expertly navigated the airspace, showcasing the magnificent Glen Canyon and the shimmering expanse of Lake Powell. The vastness of the Grand Staircase unfolded before my eyes, while the vibrant hues of the Vermilion Cliffs painted a breathtaking backdrop to the journey. The pilot’s insightful commentary guided my gaze towards the region’s prominent features, providing a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural wonders that stretched out before us.

Flying above Tower Butte and the surrounding landscapes was an exhilarating experience that etched itself into my memory. The unique perspective afforded by the helicopter tour allowed me to truly grasp the grandeur of the region, taking in its vastness and splendor from a bird’s-eye view. It was an adventure that blended thrilling moments with captivating storytelling, providing a remarkable opportunity to connect with the land and its rich geological history.

13. The Rimview Trail

The Rimview Trail

If you’re looking to cover more ground and explore the scenic landscapes around Page, opting for a mountain bike ride can be an excellent choice. The decision between hiking or biking may depend on the amount of time you have available. For those seeking a leisurely outing or for beginners, the Rimview Trail presents an ideal option. Stretching approximately 10 miles around Page, this trail offers a mix of paved surfaces, making it suitable for both biking and taking a leisurely stroll.

As I embarked on my adventure along the Rimview Trail, I made sure to equip myself with comfortable footwear and an ample water supply, especially on hot days when shade is minimal. It’s essential to stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun’s rays as you traverse this picturesque path. Additionally, for those who wish to bring their furry companions along, dogs are permitted as long as they are under complete control, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

As I pedaled or walked along the Rimview Trail, I couldn’t help but appreciate the stunning vistas that unfolded before me. The paved path allowed for smooth navigation, and I relished the freedom to immerse myself in the natural beauty that surrounded me. With each turn, I encountered breathtaking panoramic views, and the serenity of the landscape filled me with a sense of tranquility.

14. Into the Grand

Into The Grand

As I stepped into Into the Grand, I was immediately immersed in a captivating experience filled with Native American song, music, dance, and an array of authentic Native American cuisine. The venue, housed in an old warehouse, exuded a certain charm that perfectly complemented the essence of the evening. The concept itself didn’t require a modern, 21st-century building; in fact, such a setting might have even detracted from the authenticity and charm of the experience.

A warm welcome awaited me as the host greeted me with genuine hospitality. They guided me to a table that had been thoughtfully prepared, complete with complimentary snacks of chips and salsa. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for the evening and ensured that I felt comfortable and well taken care of from the very beginning.

The ambiance of the venue buzzed with anticipation as I eagerly awaited the captivating performances to come. Native American songs resonated through the air, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of traditional music. Dancers moved gracefully, their movements telling stories and celebrating their rich cultural heritage. It was a feast for both the senses and the soul.

While the performances captivated my attention, the aroma of authentic Native American cuisine filled the air, further enhancing the immersive experience. The menu featured a selection of traditional dishes that showcased the vibrant flavors and culinary traditions of the Native American culture. From hearty stews to flavorful fry bread, each bite transported me to a world of indigenous tastes and traditions.

Into the Grand provided an evening of cultural immersion, where entertainment, music, dance, and delectable food converged to create an unforgettable experience. The simple yet inviting atmosphere of the old warehouse allowed the essence of the event to shine, inviting guests to fully embrace the richness of Native American culture.

Navajo Village Heritage Center

As I entered this charming, family-run facility, I knew I had stumbled upon a gem, particularly for those traveling with children. The educational value of the place was evident from the start. I was immediately immersed in the world of the Navajo people, gaining insights into their traditional way of life and the unique features of their homes.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to explore a typical Navajo home. The knowledgeable staff explained the construction techniques and the thoughtful design considerations that make these homes so special. It was fascinating to learn about the cultural significance behind each aspect of the dwelling, gaining a deeper understanding of the Navajo people’s connection to their environment.

A visit to the facility also included a demonstration of the art of Navajo rug weaving. I was captivated as I watched skilled weavers create intricate patterns, witnessing firsthand the meticulous process of transforming yarn into vibrant works of art. The staff took the time to explain the different techniques and materials used, providing valuable insights into the rich tradition of Navajo rug making.

As I delved further into the experience, the role of women in Navajo society and their contributions to their community were discussed. It was enlightening to learn about the vital roles they play in preserving cultural traditions and passing them down to future generations. Through engaging discussions and informative displays, I gained a deeper appreciation for the values and customs that shape Navajo life.

To culminate the visit, the facility treated us to a captivating display of Navajo dancing. The rhythmic movements and colorful attire of the dancers transported us to a world of cultural expression and celebration. The performances were both entertaining and meaningful, showcasing the beauty and significance of Navajo dance in their traditions.

Are Antelope Canyon Tours worth it?

We would argue that visiting Lower Antelope Slot Canyon is well worth the admission cost. It is beautiful, and the guided tours are a lot of fun.

We had a great time on our tour exploring the canyon and learning more about the area. Plus, you will get the best pictures from your visit.

What is the best Time to Visit Antelope Canyon?

When deciding when to visit there are two factors – seeing the light beams and crowds.

When can you see the light beams at Antelope Canyon?

The lower canyon light beams usually occur at midday in the busy season which runs from mid- March through mid-October. We went at the beginning of October and saw some light beams. However, when you can see the light beams is the busiest time in the canyon.

Some of the best pictures of the canyon feature the light beams. They are really fun and pretty to see.

What is the best month to visit Antelope Canyon?

If you don’t care about the light beams and want to avoid the crowd, the best months to visit Antelope Canyon are from November to February. Upper vs Lower Antelope Canyon

There are two sections of Antelope Canyon – Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Lower Antelope Canyon is mostly below ground and Upper Antelope Canyon is above the ground. Both canyons are well worth a visit but do have some differences.

If you are wanting more of an adventure, Lower Antelope Canyon in AZ is a better option. It is a better option if you are on a budget because tours are less expensive.

From the main parking area, there is about a 10-minute easy walk to the entrance of the canyon. The Lower Antelope Canyon tour is a more strenuous walk but is still doable.

There are stairs throughout the Antelope Canyon tours.

In the tour, there are about 5 flights of stairs to descend and 8 flights of stairs to ascend. The ladders are pretty steep, but they weren’t too bad. My four-year-old twins did need some help navigating the ladders.

The lower slot canyon rarely has light beams. We did see one light beam in our lower tour in October.

If you are looking for great photo opportunities of the light beams, Upper Canyon will be a better option. The photogenic light beams are easier to see in this canyon when visiting at the right time. This is not to say that Lower Antelope Canyon is not photogenic – it is still beautiful.

Upper Antelope Canyon is a flat and easy walk. There are no stairs on this tour. However, this part of the canyon is busier and you may feel more rushed through the canyon at times.

Is Lower Antelope Canyon difficult?

While it is more challenging than Upper Antelope Canyon, it is not that hard of a tour as long as you don’t have trouble with stairs. The staircases are narrow and steep.

We toured Antelope Canyon in AZ with our kids who were 4, 4, and 6 months at the time. Each of our four-year-olds needed help on the ladder. I would recommend having one adult per younger child.

Things to Remember During Your Visit

1. Bring some water. We brought small water bottles that fit in our back pockets to ensure our hands were free to take pictures and help our kids on the stairs. The southwest is hot so always keep water on hand.

2. The slot canyon tours operate on Arizona Standard Time. Keep this in mind as you are booking your tour. The Navajo Reservation and Utah both observe Daylight Savings Time while Arizona does not.

When participating in the Antelope Canyon tours be sure to take lots of pictures.

The tours follow the same time as Page, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. A quick Google search will tell you what time it is in Arizona. You can also manually set your phone to Arizona Standard time.

3. Colored bags are not allowed into the canyon. You can bring in a clear bag like the one below. It is helpful to have a bag to carry your water and have your hands free – especially if you are going on a Lower Antelope Canyon tour. Backpacks, purses, and fanny packs are not allowed.

Take your panoramic pictures from the canyon floor to the sky. You will see way more of the canyon in your pictures.

Remember to look up and behind you when walking through the canyon. Some of the best shots are found above you and behind you.

Most tours do not allow GoPros, stabilizers like tripods, selfie sticks, or monopods.

Listen to your Navajo guide. Even though we were not specifically on a photo tour, our guide pointed out a lot of great photo spots and offered to take pictures for us.

You will have a tour group in front of you and behind you. This means you will usually have less than a minute to get the pictures you want. If you hang out at the back of your tour group, you will get more photo opportunities.

The best time of day to visit Lower Antelope Canyon Arizona is between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. More light enters the canyon during this time so you can see more colors in the walls.

If you’re using an iPhone, try experimenting with the filters. The vivid warm filter is the most commonly used filter when taking pictures in the canyon. We took the same picture with and without the filter to show the difference.

Lower Antelope Canyons looks amazing! I have always wanted to go. Those red walls are so picturesque. Rowen and Raven are quite the little hikers. Also, love that the guide was offering picture advice. He gets it!

It was one of the most impressive places we have been. The canyon walls have so much detail. We love that they are getting big enough to enjoy, well maybe rather tolerate, hiking. Thanks for reading!

Jul 2022. From Canada, drove from Las Vegas, all the way to Page Arizona, and did not end up seeing the Lower Antelope Canyons. The day we went weather was not the best, rain started to come down and the workers cheered louder than ever. Completely disrespectful towards the tourists.
