Love’s Travel Stops opens 17th Alabama location bringing 90 jobs to Mobile County

The 17th Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores location in Alabama opened in mid-April. The newest location added 90 jobs to the area.

Travel stop company Love’s has opened its 17th truck stop location in Alabama, according to a press release.

The new truck stop, located at 8400 County Farm Road in Irvington, adds 90 jobs and 109 truck parking spaces to the area. The location opened their doors on April 15.

“We’re excited to open our 17th location in Alabama and add another stop for customers on the Gulf Coast,” Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s, said in the release .

The Irvington location is open 24/7 and includes various amenities including:

• 92 car parking spaces
• Eight RV parking spaces
• Seven showers
• Laundry facilities

In addition to those amenities, the location also has a Bojangles, which opened on April 19, and will have Speedco truck care services opening in the future.

“We’re always looking to grow in areas to meet customers’ needs, and Mobile, Alabama, came highly requested from professional drivers,” the company said in a post on their LinkedIn page .

According to the release, the company also donated $2,000 to the Foundation of the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office to celebrate their grand opening.

The Irvington location is the third one on the Gulf Coast. The company also has a location in Prichard, as well as one in Loxley.

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores has over 550 locations across the United States.

New Love’s brings 100+ truck parking spaces to Alabama

Love’s Travel Stops opened a new store in Mobile County, Alabama, on Thursday.

The new Love’s is located off I-10 in Mobile, Alabama. The store is more than 15,000 square feet.

Amenities at the Mobile Love’s include 109 truck parking spaces, a Bojangles restaurant, nine diesel bays, seven showers, laundry facilities, a Speedco, a CAT Scale, and a dog park.

“We’re excited to open our 17th location in Alabama and add another stop for customers on the Gulf Coast,” said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “Our team members will help get professional drivers and four-wheel customers back on the road quickly and safely while providing a good value at competitive prices.”

In January, Love’s said that the company had plans to open as many as 50 new truck stops across the country in 2021, which would add approximately 3000 new truck parking spaces to the Love’s network. Love’s says that they added more than 3000 truck parking spaces in 2020 as they opened 38 new stores.

Loves generally is a good place to stop for gas and snacks. This was no exception. They are not Buc-ees but they are ok. This on me even had pretty clean bathrooms. Gas prices were reasonable, snack selections were bountiful, and the place as clean... can't ask for much more.

Quick stop to get rid of some used coffee as I continue along I-10 westward. This Love's has a big sign you can see for miles as you're getting close. It has the gas prices on it so you know if you're getting a deal or not. Like others, the station is located right off the highway. Because they're also a truck stop, it is easy to access with minimal turns that are wide and sweeping. Getting back to the interstate is a piece of cake, even in a larger vehicle. Do look out for the trucks though! Inside, the store is clean. The associates working are polite. The shelves are stocked and the coffee is more than decent. Good food great people, safe atmosphere. The Tire shop works hard to get you back on the road as soon as possible. While inside the store you can get something to eat at either Godfathers Pizza, or Subway , use the restroom, get a shower if you like and purchase some pretty interesting items.

I've never reviewed a gas station before, but I felt compelled to do so for this one. Love's is stepping up! Amazing snack selection, incredibly friendly staff, and CLEAN restrooms. Gas prices comparable to other stops. They also have a small dog park for your pet's convenience. Thank you!
