So beginnt Ihre Barcelona-Kreuzfahrt herrlich entspannt.

Barcelonas Prachtmeile Las Ramblas

Barcelona cruise pier transportation

Complete Barcelona to cruise port transportation guide

How to get to barcelona cruise port & more.

Barcelona cruise ship port: Aida ship

The first thing you'll need to figure out is your pier. Large ships usually moor at Moll Adossat , which has 5 terminals. Smaller ships stop at Moll de Barcelona / World Trade Center. There's also 2 more terminals for ferries and one for large yatchs, but we won't be covering them in this post. You can ask your cruiseline what pier they use in Barcelona, or you can check the Barcelona Cruise Port Calendar . For everything else, this post will give you all the information you need.

Transportation to Barcelona cruise port and from it

Walking, not a good idea.

The port of Barcelona is basically divided in two cruise piers. While passengers from small ships such as Windstar and Aida stop at the WTC Barcelona Cruise Terminal that is only 5min. walk from the Statue of Columbus, where la Rambla begins, most large cruises stop in the Moll Adossat terminals and from there you need to cross the Porta d’Europa, the longest port bridge in Europe.

I don’t recommend trying to walk across the bridge, as it’ll take you some good 30 min. to get to la Rambla (under the hot Barcelona sun and with no shade to stop under… Trust me, I’ve done it and won’t repeat it again!). Anyway, after crossing the bridge you can walk up la Rambla and see the Gothic Quarter . You might even reach Passeig de Gràcia where the Gaudi apartments are, but you’ll need strong legs to do that!

BEST FOR : Small ships docking in Moll de Barcelona.

The ride from Moll Adossat to Columbus statue is 10 minutes long. The Cruise Buses don’t accept Barcelona transportation cards: you’ll have to pay for the bus one-way ticket, which is affordable enough. Once in the city, we don’t recommend trying to navigate the city buses, as the subway will take you pretty much everywhere you want to see.

BEST FOR : Ships docking in Moll Adossat, if your budget is limited.

Hop on Hop off Buses

There’s a stop near Columbus Statue. You can purchase them on board, or buy them online and then exchange them at the Tourist Information Point underneath Columbus Statue. Keep in mind that Hop-on Hop-off buses follow a unidirectional itinerary that takes 2 to 3 hours to get back to where you started if you stay on the bus all the time. If your time in Barcelona is limited, don’t plan to hop-off and on or you’ll be wasting to much time and you’ll risk having to hop on a taxi and rush back to the cruise port if you didn’t plan enough buffer time.

BEST FOR : People with low energy levels or walking issues on a budget.

There is no  subway  station in the Barcelona cruise port: you’ll have to get in town to use it. The closest subway station is called Drassanes, in the L3 line (green). It’ll ride you all along la Rambla and Passeig de Gràcia, and if you are ready for a walk uphill, the Vallcarca station it’s a 20min. walk to the  Park Güell .

The same line takes you to Espanya and Parallel, from where you can access the hill of Montjuic (although if you only have a few hours and are on foot, I’d rather skip that part of the city).  You’ll need to change lines to get to the famous Sagrada Familia church (go to Paral·lel, and from there switch to the Pink Line (L2).

BEST FOR : Travelers on a budget that are used to navigating public transportation.

BEST FOR : Any situation, from sightseeing to getting to your hotel or train station with luggage.

Is there Uber in Barcelona?

Technically yes, but all the Uber drivers in Spain must have a taxi license, and since the taxi lobby considers Uber (and Cabify and Bolt) unfair competition, they tend to boycott it by not joining their platform. As a result, there’s very few drivers available on the app, and the wait times are long. We recommend to stick to regular black and yellow taxis, and if you need to use an app to call one, use alternatives such as Free Now or Picmi.

Private drivers

A private driver is the premium way to get to the Barcelona Cruise Port, or to exit it. Private drivers in Spain must have a special professional license and insurance, their cars must have a blue plate, and must comply with high quality standards. The ones we use, for instance, are all recent models of Mercedes vehicles, either cars or vans. A driver will be waiting for you at the exit of the cruise terminal, holding a sign with your name. With them, it’ll be a breeze to get to the airport, train station or your hotel.

BEST FOR : Premium transfers to hotel, airport or train station.

Can they give you a tour of the city before dropping you off?

They certainly can, but bear in mind that in Spain you need different licensed to drive cars and to work as a tour guide. A licensed tour guide is trained to give you detailed explanations of the sites and can skip lines when taking you inside. Instead, drivers most of the time only have basic knowledge about the city (or parrot what they’ve heard licensed tour guides explain, without having really studied it), and must stay by their vehicles when you are out and about exploring a site or area on your own.

Private shore excursions

While usually a shore excursion organized by the ship is shared with dozens of other cruisers, and start and end in the cruise, private shore excursions are just for you and your party only, and they can start or end anywhere you want. During a private shore excursion you get not just a private driver but also a licensed tour guide to show you around. You can decide on the exact itinerary, and if necessary, they can start or finish at the airport, your hotel or the train station.

A private shore excursion is the easiest way to exit the Barcelona Cruise Port , and you will also take the most out of your short time in the city. Certainly it is more expensive if you are only two people, but if you are traveling with some more friends or family, the price becomes quite reasonable compared to joining one of the group tours offered by the ship.  Small groups move faster than large tours, so you’ll get see more things in the same amount of time!

BEST FOR : Premium travelers that want to maximize their time in Barcelona and don’t want to have to deal with organizing details.

Park Guell Sagrada Familia Montjuic Tour

Transportation from Barcelona cruise port to airport (or viceversa)

Is taking public transportation a good idea, taxis, private drivers and private tours.

There’s a set fee of €39 for taxi rides from the Barcelona cruise port to airport (you can check here to make sure this is updated). A private transfer can cost 2 to 3 times more, but you pay for the premium level of comfort (eliminate waiting times, high end vehicles, English speaking driver… sometimes even complimentary water bottles on board).

And if you have enough time and budget, you can spend those few hours between docking and flight departure exploring Barcelona, booking a city tour ending at the airport or starting there, depending on your needs.

AIDAcosma Itineraries

Aidacosma review, review of aidacosma.

The 2021-built/2022-inaugurated AIDAcosma cruise ship was constructed by Meyer Werft (in Papenburg Germany ). This is the second of two HELIOS-class AIDA liners, with sistership AIDAnova (2018). Excellence/Helios-Class was preceded by Hyperion-Class ( AIDAprima and AIDAperla ).

The vessel (IMO number 9781877) is currently Italy- flagged (MMSI 247435300) and registered in Genova .

AIDAcosma is the fleet's 14th boat and AIDA's 9th vessel built in Papenburg. Other Excellence-Class liners (AIDAcosma sisterships) are P&O Iona (2020), P&O Arvia (2022), Costa Smeralda (2019), Costa Toscana (2021), Carnival Mardi Gras (2021), Carnival Celebration (2022), Carnival Jubilee (2023).

History - construction and ownership

AIDA Cruises is a Rostock -headquartered subsidiary company owned by Carnival Corporation . AIDA is Europe's largest German cruise line (followed by TUI ) targeting younger and more active travelers. AIDA was founded in 1960 (as "Deutsche Seereederei") and in 2000 was acquired by P&O Princess Cruises, which merged with Carnival Corporation (shipowner) in 2003. AIDA's first World Cruise (AIDAcara) was in 2017-2018 (October-February) with 116-day roundtrip itinerary from Hamburg Germany .

AIDAcosma cruise ship

The 5400-passenger ship AIDAcosma (IMO number 9781877) is Italy- flagged (MMSI 247435300) and among the world's largest passenger liners and the most technologically advanced vessels. Besides the ship's staff and crew, AIDA cruise passengers are also served by Peper robots - the latest cyborg technology implemented fleetwide in 2016. These humanoid robots greet and guide passengers upon embarkation. They also assist them throughout the cruise by providing information and tips on onboard dining, entertainment, enrichment program (workshops, pre-scheduled events), casino and shopping promotions, shore excursions and tours. Pepper robots are mobile and communicate in 3 languages (English, German, Italian). They can also interpret human emotions by analyzing voice tones and facial expressions.

They are larger than the standard Balkonkabine and also have double sofabeds for quad occupancy. Category DL (Verandakabine Deluxe with Lounge) is for 5 passengers. Itineraries

AIDAcosma cruise itinerary program was originally based on homeporting in Kiel Germany (Saturday departures) for roundtrips to Baltic Sea ports - in Norway (Norwegian Fjords), Estonia, Finland, Russia. For the period May thru October (2021) were planned two alternating 7-day Baltic itineraries. Depending on the date, the liner had planned overnights in St Petersburg (Russia) , Tallinn (Estonia) , Helsinki (Finland) .

For winter 2021-2022 season, the boat was scheduled for homeporting in the UAE ( Dubai and Abu Dhabi ) with 7-day roundtrips to Doha Qatar and Mina Salman-Manama Bahrain . However, in May 2021, AIDA replaced the program with 7-day Canary Islands itineraries leaving roundtrip from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (homeport). AIDAcosma's original schedule for 2021 (October 23 thru December 21) was canceled, and the Dubai program was allocated to AIDAnova .

Eventually, the Maiden Voyage was rescheduled for February 26, 2022 (5-day Hamburg to Rotterdam, with call ports Southampton England, Cherbourg France, Zeebrugge Belgium). Aidacosma wiki.

In July 2015, Carnival Corporation signed a shipbuilding agreement with Meyer Werft for the construction of all 4 new-class (Excellence, aka Helios) vessels. Of these, 2 liners were for Costa Cruises ( Smeralda /2019 and Toscana /2021 ) and the other 2 for AIDA ( AIDAnova /2018 and AIDAcosma /2021). On February 27, 2018, Carnival Corporation signed a shipbuilding contract for a 3rd AIDA ship (delivery in 2023) but in June 2021 decided the liner ( Carnival Jubilee ) to be assigned to CCL-Carnival . This was the 98th ship order for the cruise industry's global fleet (vessels in the order book 2018-2026).

Carnival Corporation's new liners all use LNG powerplants (with four Caterpillar-MaK marine engines) that fully comply with IMO's latest regulations. The vessel's design, architecture and machinery features include weight-optimized materials, optimized paints (reducing underwater resistance), innovative electric pod motors, modern heat recovery, navigation and automation systems.

Like most large -sized newbuilds , the AIDA ship Cosma is LNG-powered , with 4x Caterpillar Marine LNG engines (model MaK 16M-46DF) generating combined output 57,2 MW. The propulsion system is based on two Azimuting thrusters (combined power output 37 MW). The ship has 3x LNG tanks (cryogenic steel) with total capacity ~3200 m3. Two of the tanks are larger (length 35 m, diameter 8 m, LNG capacity 1525 m3), while the 3rd tank has length 28 m, diameter 5 m and capacity 520 m3.

The vessel's steel-cutting ceremony at Meyer Werft was held on August 15, 2019, with which officially started its construction. On October 15, 2019, was held the keel-laying ceremony during which the first hull block for AIDAcosma (yard/hull number 709) was put in place at Neptun Werft Shipyard in Rostock, Germany . The traditional coin ceremony's godmothers were Charleen Hoffmann (AIDA employee) and Kenny Schaft (Meyer Werft employee) who placed the specially minted coins under the vessel's first (of all 90) construction blocks. The special event was attended by Tim Meyer (Meyer Werft Shipyard's Managing Director), Manfred Ossevorth (Neptun Werft Shipyard's Director), Felix Eichhorn (AIDA's President), Birgit Hesse (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's President), Claus Ruhe Madsen (Rostock City's Mayor).

During the keel-laying ceremony was officially announced the name (AIDAcosma), homeport ( Kiel Germany ) and inaugural season (2021 summer itineraries/canceled in June 2021).

The ship was launched (floated out from drydock) at Papenburg Shipyard on July 10, 2021. The Ems River conveyance voyage (from Papenburg to Eemshaven Holland ) started on October 23rd. Two tugboats assisted the liner to leave Meyer Werft's dock lock. Followed the passing through Leer 's two bridges (Friesenbrucke and Jann-Berghaus-Brucke/Leer) and the arrival in Eemshaven (at 4:30 UTC) for the Baltic Sea trials.

The ship was officially delivered on December 21, 2021, in Port Bremerhaven . The first Master was Captain Vincent Cofalka.

Christening Voyage (2022)

The vessel's official christening/naming ceremony was held on April 9, 2022, in Port Hamburg/Hamburger Hafen , led by godmother Kristina Vogel who was accompanied by the ship's Master - Captain Vincent Cofalka.

Kristina Vogel (1990-born German track cyclist/bicycle racer) is paralyzed since 2018 when she crashed at the Cottbus velodrome. During her active career, she won two gold medals (Olympic Cycling Champions 2012 & 2016) and finished first at the UCI World Championships in 2014-15-16-17-18.

Next table shows the 14-day itinerary's ports of call and times.

The exclusive naming ceremony featured a special light show by ~300 drones and beam lighting making the entire liner shine. The 20-min show was held outdoor (on Sundeck/Pool Deck) and online-streamed. In addition to the ~3300 paying passengers, AIDAcosma's Christening Voyage was also attended by ~350 special guests and celebrity performers, including DJ Quads, DJ Alle Farben (1985-born house music producer/performing at the Pool Deck's Beach Club stage), DJ Mokabi (at Beach Club), Marc Jendrollik (singer from the party music band Gletscher Fezzzer), Reiner Meutsch (hosting on Radio RPR1 the show Mein Abenteuer), Joja Wendt (pianist), Wayne Morris (painter), Niko Formanek (stand-up comedian).

After the show, in the ship's Theatrium, Alle Farben performed a 1-hour concert, while at the Beach Club (Pool Deck), guests were entertained by Ingo Appelt (stand-up comedian) and DJ Mokabi (best known for his 2020-released hit song "The Passenger (LaLaLa)").

How to arrive:

The Airport of Barcelona is about 13 km from Barcelona center. Trains and buses have frequent schedules to the center, but since you have to change a couple of times and also to walk the last part to the terminal, the best option for traveling from the airport to the cruise terminal is to catch a taxi. Taxis are quick and not expensive. The journey will take about 35 min's by taxi. The journey from the airport to the port is unlikely to cost you more than €40. If you are a group of 4 or more you might consider a private transfer with Barcelona-airport-transfers . Luggage storage is only possible at terminal 1 (intercontinental flights) or at train station Sants Estacio (directly connected to the Airport and Plaça de Catalunya.

The Cruise Terminal of Barcelona and getting around:

The port is the starting and arrival point for many Mediterranean cruise itineraries. The seven operating terminals, and the various docks and facilities, are at a short distance from the city center. The terminal is at Port Vell in Barcelona which is at the Southern most end of the famous Ramblas. The seaport terminal is only 10 min's walk from the Ramblas. However, since there are several cruise terminals at the port and if you are in one of the terminals which are further away from the Ramblas you may catch a taxi or the shuttle bus, which will take you to Monument Christopher Columbus which is at the Southern most end of the Ramblas. The shuttle bus service runs from all port terminals down to the monument.

There is a port shuttle bus that goes from the cruise terminals to the Columbus Monument at the bottom of Las Ramblas. The bus is called Cruiser T3 but is often referred to as the 'Blue Port Bus'. The fare is €3 per person, €4.50 return. You cannot use a T10 ticket on this bus. The nearest metro station is Drassanes which is on line L3. It is about 2-3 minutes walk from the Columbus Monument, where the shuttle bus stops. The bus is wheelchair friendly.

A taxi is a good bet (around 15 Euro) if you want to go to Placa de Catalunya with its famous stores and stroll back, slightly downhill, over the Ramblas towards the harbor. Taxi back will be 2.10 euro more, due to port charges. Do not pay more than that as cabbies make you believe.

As your hand luggage is checked by the port authorities itself before entering the modern terminal, there is ample of opportunity to stock up on your favorite alcoholic beverage in the competitive priced tax-free shops before boarding. No carry-on bags will be checked when boarding the ship.

In spring 2018, Carnival Corporation opened a new terminal, which is designed to accommodate Carnival's next-generation ships, powered by eco-friendly Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Ships from eight Carnival brands -- AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises (U.K.), Princess Cruises and Seabourn -- visit Barcelona throughout the year.

Sightseeing:

Barcelona balances itself on the cutting edge of architecture, intellectual life, and style. Among the city's unique delights is its Picasso Museum, palm-lined avenues, striking Gaudi architecture , revamped beachfront, and late-night club scene. The capital of Spain's Catalonia region is one of the country's -- maybe even Europe's -- most beautiful and vibrant places. A city of contrasts, it is like no other in Spain; this is most evident in its architecture, a marriage of Gothic spikes and modern curves.

Barcelona is also a city of neighborhoods, all distinct, which are surprisingly walkable and easily accessible by bus, metro or even on foot (in comfortable shoes). Don't miss a stroll along Las Ramblas , replete with produce and flower stands, a historic opera house and a thoroughly intriguing open pet market. Maybe you will be there when they are celebrating one of the many fiestas: whether they are celebrating a saint's day or the changing of the seasons, the people of Barcelona fill the streets with color, music, and excitement for young and old. Experiencing the traditions ranging from Spanish to Catalan or even unique to the city of Barcelona, adds to a visitor's enjoyment like nothing else can. The largest fiestas in Barcelona are Sant Joan (Saint John) on June 23rd ringing in the summer, and La Mercè for the Patron Saint, September 24th. The most beautiful holiday is undoubtedly Sant Jordi (Saint George) – the day of the book and the day of the rose April 23rd.

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is indispensable for understanding the formative years of Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The genius of the young artist is revealed through the more than 3,500 works that make up the permanent collection. However, the Picasso Museum also reveals his relationship with Barcelona: an intimate, solid relationship that was shaped in his adolescence and youth, and continued until his death. Thanks to the wishes of Picasso and his friend Jaume Sabartés, Barcelona now has the youthful work of one of the twentieth century's most significant artists.

Miró's works are to be found today in the world's principal museums and cultural institutions. Many, however, have remained in Catalonia, mostly in the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona. Throughout his life, Joan Miró took a particular interest in the diversity of materials, forms and colors. It led him to explore and experiment with different art forms such as painting, sculpture, printing techniques, ceramics, the theater, and tapestry. One result of this was a collaboration with Josep Royo, an innovative craftsman, who during the seventies aroused Miró's interest in tapestry and textiles.

Sagrada Família - Barcelona's most popular and famous attraction, the Sagrada Família is a testament to Antonio Gaudi's modernist style and unlike any other church in the world

Tours Excursions Transportation:

Rent a bike or take an excursion by bike with an English speaking guide showing the most important sights of Barcelona: the Gothic Quarter with the cathedral, the Old harbor with the statue of Columbus, the Ciutadella Park, the Sagrada Familia, the Olympic Port and Gaudi´s fabulous monuments with Fat Tire Bike Tours Barcelona . The best place for a ride is along the well-marked bike lanes by the sea, which lead to the medieval streets of the old city, past busy ports and down to beaches. If you're willing to brave traffic and tackle a few hills, you can crisscross the city and there are many more bike lanes in the planning. A guide and a map can be purchased at the Tourist Offices .

Hop on hop off . If you are coming to Barcelona for the first time, or if you are planning to stay in the city for a short time, this is one way of getting to quickly see the city's monuments and most important tourist sights of interest.

The Barcelona Tourist Office offers, among other interesting tours, 4 different, english speaking, guided walking tours, including a Gourmet walk in which you will find out about the history of Barcelona's cuisine as well as some of its flagship restaurants and food outlets, and sample some of their products. If you want to see Barcelona from a birds eye point of view, ride the Montjuic cable car . You can buy tickets on board. The entrance is not to far from the harbor, just follow the cables to the entrance. If it is too windy, the cable cars won't run. So simply look to the sky to see whether they are running or not. A small guide book is very useful, as there is so much to see in Barcelona!

It pays to compare your cruise line tours here .

AIDA Cruises’ AIDAnova calls in Barcelona for the first time

AIDA Cruises’ AIDAnova calls in Barcelona for the first time

By Elly Yates-Roberts | 01 May 2019

AIDA Cruises’ AIDAnova called into the Port of Barcelona, Spain for the first time on 26 April. A plaque exchange took place to celebrate the arrival of the ship, which is the first to operate on LNG at sea and in port.

AIDAnova will regularly visit the Port of Barcelona to refuel with LNG, as the city’s port is the largest to offer the fuel.  Until November 2019, AIDAnova will offer seven-day itineraries to some of Europe’s most popular destinations, including Civitavecchia and La Spezia, Italy; Marseille, France; and Barcelona, Spain.

The vessel’s milestone visit took place six months before the Costa Group (AIDA’s parent company) launches its second LNG-powered ship, which will sail as Costa Cruises’ Costa Smeralda .

Costa Smeralda will call at Barcelona on her first cruise on 30 October 2019 and will celebrate her christening in Savona, Italy on 3 November 2019. The six-day inaugural cruise will depart from Savona on 4 November. She will then sail the Western Mediterranean until April 2021, offering one-week cruises to destinations such as the Italian cities of Civitavecchia, La Spezia, Rome and Savona; Marseille, France; and Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.

“We are delighted to receive AIDAnova in Barcelona,” said Francesco Muglia, general manager of Spain and Portugal at Costa Cruises. “This ship, together with the arrival of Costa Smeralda in October, proves Costa Group’s firm commitment to sustainability and technology while contributing to… making sustainable tourism a fundamental part of our industry leadership.”

In addition to the use of LNG for cruise ships, Costa Group and Carnival Corporation’s global cruise brands use Advanced Air Quality System (AAQS) on over 70% of their ships. The use of LNG and AAQS both play an important role in further improving the impact of Costa Group’s marine operations.

“On AIDAnova, we have assembled a wide variety of products with exceptional enthusiasm and creativity,” said Felix Eichhorn, president of AIDA Cruises. “We are very proud to operate the most environmentally friendly cruise ship and will continue along this path.”

Emirates and AIDA Cruises renew their partnership for a further two seasons

S olidifying Dubai’s place as a major maritime tourism hub, Emirates and AIDA Cruises have renewed their partnership for a further two seasons.

The renewed partnership was signed on the sidelines of the first day of ITB Berlin and is in line with Dubai’s efforts to significant grow its cruise capacity. Dubai continues to attract the biggest players in the industry through offering a seamlessly integrated maritime hub, with state-of-the-art handling facilities supported with unrivalled air connectivity.

Emirates will explore a number of opportunities with AIDA Cruises for joint marketing, operational alignment and strategic planning around flight schedules from across its network, in addition to enhanced transportation solutions between Dubai International Airport and Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal.

The partnership will continue to focus on sharing relevant data and insights to improve service delivery, providing dedicated support teams for cruise passengers, and facilitating a smooth check-in process at Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal. The airline will also dedicate capacity for the next two seasons to ensure continued momentum to meet the demand for cruise packages to Dubai.

The MoU was signed by Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Airline; and Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises.

Adnan Kazim commented on the renewed partnership: “We’re proud of AIDA Cruises’ long-standing commitment to Dubai, when they were one of the first cruise liners to home port in 2006. We are readying the business for another robust cruise season in Dubai, and through the support of partners like AIDA Cruises anchoring in our home city and hub, we’ll continue to strengthen Dubai’s position as an attractive gateway for winter cruising.”

"The Arabian Gulf is one of our most popular winter destinations due to its moderate flight times, pleasant summer temperatures and many hours of sunshine. Combined with the new state-of-the-art terminals at Dubai Harbour within easy reach of the city's attractions and excellent airport connectivity, our cooperation with Emirates will further enhance the attractiveness of this destination for our guests with tailor-made flight options," said Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises.

AIDAprima has been operating to Dubai Harbour since 2021 and can accommodate up to 3,200 passengers. This season, passengers embarking and disembarking from Dubai can look forward to diverse itineraries that include destinations like Muscat, Doha, Sir Bani Yas and Abu Dhabi.

Dubai has been a first mover in joining up the entire travel and tourism ecosystem to facilitate hassle-free entry and visas for cruise passengers, seamless handling at ports which includes access to Emirates check-in desks at Dubai Harbour along with a host of other amenities dotted across the entire air and ground journey. Travellers have the added advantage of disembarking at one of the world’s most iconic tourism destinations, with landmarks and attractions that suit every taste, age and budget.

The 12 Emirates check-in counters in Dubai Harbour allow passengers who are disembarking from their cruise ships to fully check-in up to 4 hours before flight departure with the convenience of exploring Dubai without their luggage before heading directly to the airport and breezing past most formalities before their flight.

Last year, Emirates transported around 400,000 cruise passengers using Dubai cruise terminals. The city welcomed over 166 ships during the last cruise season, making it the region’s biggest port of embarkation and most popular call for cruise liners. The city expects an increase of 23% more cruise passengers for the upcoming season.
