Awesome places to visit in Pattaya, Thailand
1. Admire the flowers at Nong Nooch Botanical Garden
If you’re interested in flowers, trees, and gardens, this is undoubtedly one of Pattaya’s tourist places that you can’t miss. It’s a great spot to spend a pleasant afternoon away from the crowds.
Nong Nooch Botanical Garden is a theme park with various highlights. The Stonehenge Garden and the 17th-century French Garden host some of the most beautiful flowers not only in Thailand but the world.
Be sure to rent a bicycle at the entrance. Why? Because it’s the best way to tour the garden, and you’ll see more of everything that way! If you are looking for things to do in Pattaya with kids, go to the Botanical Garden, the Dinnousour Valley will keep them entertained for hours.
2. Visit the vibrant Pattaya Floating Market
There are numerous floating markets in Thailand, but none like the one in Pattaya. The market is called the “Four Regions Floating Market” because it’s divided into four regions of Thailand: North, Northeast, South, and Central.
Traders, farmers, and fishermen float along the water, selling fresh produce from each region of the country. Note that not all of the stalls are floating. Some are stilted shops that stand at the sides of the banks, giving you a privileged view of all the activity.
Be sure to take a tour through the Pattaya floating market, if you like something, stop by the boat or stall and start the negotiation. Bargaining is part of the experience and one of the funniest things to do in Pattaya. The local spices, handicrafts, and colorful vegetables and fruits are surely worth the experience!
3. Visit one of the best beaches in Pattaya
The crowds in Pattaya Beach can indeed be too overwhelming. So, head a little further south, Jomtien Beach might be what you’re looking for!
This stretch of fine white sand is one of the best beaches in Pattaya and a haven for those looking for tranquility. Since it’s not as big or as crowded as Pattaya Beach, it’s much more peaceful, but it doesn’t mean boring.
You can find there some of the best water activities in Pattaya, such as jet skiing, parasailing, and windsurfing. Plenty of restaurants along the beach serve fresh, delicious seafood to tease your growling stomach!
If you like eating well, another tip is to get your Pattaya Day Pass !
It’s a digital city pass that gives you access to several restaurants and cafes. You buy the pass and you can eat & drink their signature dishes/drinks without any extra cost.
It’s way cheaper than if you would pay for each meal separately.
We used the Bangkok Day Pass and Phuket Pass , we loved them! Here are the vídeos of our itineraries using Bangkok Day Pass and using the Phuket Day Pass .
You can also get a Chiang Mai Day Pass , Chiang Mai Premium Pass and Ayutthaya Day Pass . The activities, attractions, restaurants, and benefits in each city are different, so it’s worth checking them out.
4. Take in the island vibes at Koh Larn – Coral Island
Pattaya tourist places worth a visit go beyond the beach shore. Another must-visit place in Pattaya is Koh Larn, also called Coral Island Pattaya and it’s located just a few minutes off the coast.
You can travel from Pattaya to Koh Larn by ferry, which leaves every 30 minutes from Bali Hai Pier. With countless breathtaking sceneries, Coral Island has some of the best beaches in Pattaya. It’s a true tropical paradise with great options for Thai seafood.
Koh Larn has 6 different beaches; each one has its own unique vibe. One of the best things to do in Koh Larn is to go beach-hopping by renting a local motorbike and driving around the island, drive carefully ok?!. This is one of the best ways to discover the hidden beaches on Koh Larn, and it’s also one of the top things to do in Pattaya with family or friends.
More than a day trip, but truly an island getaway, Koh Chang is a few hours from Pattaya and worth a visit. Check our list of things to do in Koh Chang here .
Travel Advice:
Don’t forget your Travel Insurance! You don’t want anything to ruin your trip, right? So don’t take the risk! Reliable travel insurance can help you in case of travel issues, from accidents to health problems, travel delays, and lost luggage.
There are many insurances in the market, our picks are HeyMondo and SafetyWing . We used both and always had a good experience. Click on the insurance names to get a quote.
5. Be mesmerized by the Sanctuary of Truth
The Sanctuary of Truth is undoubtedly one of the best things to see in Pattaya. This place is like nothing else, a stunning and unique attraction in Pattaya.
The temple stands 105 meters tall, it’s all made from teak carved meticulously. A truly beautiful sight to behold, the Sanctuary of Truth is not a Buddhist temple as you may expect. A business owner designed it as a place to go and reflect upon oneself. Take time to admire the site, and check out their woodcraft workshop. If you can’t visit all Pattaya tourist places listed here, choose just a few, but don’t you dare to skip the Sanctuary of Truth.
Recommendation: to understand more about Thailand’s culture and religion is better to have a local expert with you. We have done many tours and day experiences with TakeMeTour and always had a great time. Check out TakeMeTour day trips in Pattaya here and book your favorite one .
6. Admire the Buddha Image at Buddha Mountain (Kao Chee Chan)
With a striking appearance seen from miles away, the 130-meter-high Buddha Mountain is one of the most interesting places to visit in Pattaya.
Created in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of King Rama IX’s reign, the image of the Buddha on the mountain was carved using laser technology and then inlaid with gold leaves. The process was done entirely at night so that the light of the laser could be seen more clearly.
Kao Chee Chan also has some pleasant landscaped gardens and lotus ponds, giving an air of quietude about the place.
7. Visit Pattaya’s Big Buddha
Wat Phra Khao Yai or “Big Buddha” certainly lives up to its name. Being the biggest Buddha in the region, it stands at 18 meters tall and is located 100 meters above sea level, watching over Pattaya.
Once you’re at the top of the hill next to the Buddha, you will see Jomtien Beach. The temple complex houses the highly detailed golden seated Buddha, creating a peaceful mood for visitors thanks to its numerous bells, burning incense, and several statues.
If you are looking for what to do in Pattaya to connect with locals, this is a great place to visit as locals visit the temple every day, so expect to see monks and locals praying!
8. See the best views at Pattaya Viewpoint
A visit to the Pattaya Viewpoint on Pratumnak Hill is another must-do in Pattaya, as it’s the best vantage point in the city. You can visit it any time of day and snap great shots of Pattaya’s crescent bay.
This is one of Pattaya’s tourist places that gets crowded during sunset as everybody wants to see the beautiful spectacle of the city lighting up. If you are looking for a romantic activity, this is one of the famous places in Pattaya for couples.
9. Absorb Chinese culture at Anek Kuson Sala (Viharn Sien)
For those looking for cultural things to do in Pattaya, Anek Kuson Sala or Viharn Sien is the place to go!
Originally built to commemorate the friendship between the Chinese and Thais, this former Chinese Temple is now a 3-story museum housing a unique collection of Chinese antiques. Three hundred pieces of Chinese art, Buddha images, bronze statues, and various statues of Chinese gods are all housed here!
The highlight is the permanent display of the Terracotta Army figures, including chariots and horses. Furthermore, you can see statues of dressmakers, fortune tellers, and liquor sellers where tourists often place 1 baht coins on.
10. Enjoy Pattaya’s nightlife at Walking Street
We can’t end our list without mentioning things to do in Pattaya at night and the famous Walking Street. The sights and sounds of Walking Street Pattaya are quite something to behold.
Walking Street is 500 meters long and accurate to its name; there are no vehicles allowed on the street after 6 pm. The street, as well as numerous smaller side streets, are full of bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and beer bars.
It’s packed and it can get a bit crazy as the night goes. During the day, the road is almost empty, but at night it comes alive with neon lights and thumping music for a trademark eclectic atmosphere.
Our list of the top 10 tourist places to visit in Pattaya ends with a party. Bear in mind that things can get naughty in Pattaya’s nightlife. If you are traveling with family or kids, or if girl’s bars, loud music, and even louder tourists are not your thing, avoid certain streets and areas of Pattaya.
This coastal city is much more than its party reputation, so don’t let it overshadow all the fantastic things to do and see there.
Did you like our suggestions on what to do in Pattaya, Thailand? With its lovely beaches, serene islands, and vibrant nightlife, Pattaya is undoubtedly a great place to visit in Thailand for young travelers, families, and even couples.

Where to stay in Pattaya, Thailand
Now that you probably made up your mind about visiting Pattaya, it’s time to select that special little (or big, maybe huge) place to recharge the batteries. Despite being known for its beach resorts, there are endless types of hotels in Pattaya, so it can get a bit tricky to find the one that suits you best.
To make your life easier, we listed some of the top accommodations in Pattaya in each category. You can focus your energy on all the incredible things you will do in Pattaya instead of losing hours and hours searching for the perfect hotel.
Royal Wing Suites & Spa
The Royal Wing Suites & Spa is the real deal for a royalty-like stay in Pattaya. This beachfront hotel in Pattaya has outstanding structure and amenities. The awarded hotel and its attentive staff aim to please all guests in every aspect, offering amazing rooms with magnificent views, delicious food, a private beach, awesome pools, and even a tennis court. Being so pampered, it’s no wonder most of the guests keep coming back for this 5-star hotel in Pattaya.
Acqua Hotel Pattaya
Located in the central area of the city, Acqua is a modern hotel that grants easy access to several of Pattaya’s top attractions. Acqua is one of the best 4-star hotels in Pattaya offering superb facilities, friendly staff, over a hundred comfortable rooms, a rooftop pool, a cocktail lounge, and a praised breakfast. Acqua Hotel Pattaya is a right call for those seeking a convenient location with superior service at a reasonable price.
One of the top places to stay in Pattaya South, Hotel Zing is an excellent value for your money. All bright-colored, it offers rooms with air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi and public parking, and has not one but two pools – go for the one on the rooftop for a beautiful view of the city.
Happy Hostel Pattaya
More equipped than most hostels in Pattaya, Happy Hostel isn’t precisely far but not that near to the city center. Although it’s comfort and overall quality of services make up for the distance. Extra points for the friendly neighborhood, a good option if you want to explore different areas of Pattaya. There are well-maintained common areas, free coffee, and even an indoor pool packed on an affordable and pleasant stay in Pattaya.
For more options of the best hotels in Pattaya, we recommend you search and book your room using Booking.com or Agoda .
How to get to Pattaya and around
Pattaya is situated southeast of Bangkok, and from there, it is quite easy to reach, yay! The trip from Bangkok to Pattaya takes about 2 hours, depending on the traffic.
Our destination is connected to Thailand’s capital through Highway 3 and Highway 7.
If you don’t feel like renting a car (check the prices here) , you can go from Bangkok to Pattaya by bus (check the air-conditioned ones for some comfort). Buses depart every half hour from early in the morning until almost midnight. They leave from the Eastern (Ekkamai), Northern (Mo Chit), and Southern (Sai Tai Mai) bus terminals.
You can check buses’ prices and timetables to/from Pattaya right here.
Hotels (especially in the Khao San area) and travel agencies offer transport by minivan, which is more expensive but has the advantage of picking you up at your hotel door.
There are also taxis and private cars doing the route, but the prices can go as high as 1500 baht per person. The cheapest option is to get the train that departs from Bangkok on weekdays between 6h45 and 6h50 and enjoy 3 hour’s trip.
Another option is to go on a tour from Bangkok to Pattaya. TakeMeTour offers exciting day trips from Bangkok to Pattaya tourist attractions. The good thing is that they arrange all the transportation from Bangkok to Pattaya and even meals.
Even though it’s a pretty big place, getting around Pattaya is not that complicated. Most of the hotels, restaurants, shops, bars, and clubs are concentrated in an area that you can easily cross on foot. But since you’re on holiday and perhaps not in the mood for walking, there are many transport alternatives to choose from:
• a local bus called Beach Bus covers Pattaya’s tourist places and tickets cost only 30 baht;
• songthaews are among the cheapest and most practical transportation methods in Pattaya;
• tuk-tuks are also popular, but remember to negotiate the price before you hop on;
• motorbike taxis (the operators use colorful vests) are another cheap option to go around, though you might not feel that safe sometimes;
• car and/or motorbike rental are alternatives if you have an international driver’s license;
• and of course, there’s always a taxi. We recommend using Grab Taxi App that works like Uber.

Jomtien Beach is the best place if you’re travelling on a budget. Hostels like D. D. Inn helps keep the costs down and you can meet lots of cool people at the same time.

Pants, socks, underwear, soap?! Take it from me, packing for a hostel stay is not always quite as straightforward as it seems. Working out what to bring and what to leave at home is an art I have perfected over many years.
Snoring dorm-mates can ruin your nights rest and seriously damage the hostel experience. This is why I always travel with a pack of decent ear plugs.
Hanging Laundry Bag
Trust us, this is an absolute game changer. Super compact, a hanging mesh laundry bag stops your dirty clothes from stinking, you don’t know how much you need one of these… so just get it, thank us later.
Sea To Summit Micro Towel
Hostel towels are scummy and take forever to dry. Microfibre towels dry quickly, are compact, lightweight, and can be used as a blanket or yoga mat if need be.
Monopoly Deal
Forget about Poker! Monopoly Deal is the single best travel card game that we have ever played. Works with 2-5 players and guarantees happy days.
Grayl Geopress Water Bottle
Always travel with a water bottle! They save you money and reduce your plastic footprint on our planet. The Grayl Geopress acts as a purifier AND temperature regulator. Boom!

Pattaya lies on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand, existing for decades as a quiet fishing village until its beauty was discovered by American servicemen in the 1960s. 17 Best Adults Hotels In Pattaya to Bang Girls (And a Villa)
Best hotels in pattaya for bachelors and singles, hotels near walking street – guest friendly, hotels near lk metro – guest friendly, best adult only hotels in pattaya for day and night fun (soi 6), best accommodation in pattaya for a girlfriendly experience.
If you’re planning to visit Pattaya, most probably you’re looking for hotels and accommodations where you can play with the girls. And if you don’t have any contacts yet, check out my guide to meet girls in Pattaya .
Choosing the right place to stay during your holiday can make or break your intimate experiences. There is nothing worse than book a hotel in the wrong area of town or get a shitty room.
A classic is to book a hotel room “only” one kilometer away from Pattaya’s main nightlife area: Walking Street.
When you get out of your room, you get there in only 10 minutes because there is plenty of transports available. However, when you try to get back at 4 in the morning with your new girlfriend, it gets frustrating to find transport.
The result is that your hot and horny girlfriend turns into a cold and bored lover. Do you think is she going to give you a pleasant time once behind closed doors?
What about if your accommodations were within walking distance instead? Definitely, things would have turn out differently.
So, in this small girlfriendly hotel’s review, I’m going to recommend the best places to stay in Pattaya if you want to enjoy the nightlife, get laid and experience the ultimate vacation.
My selection is based on 3 factors:
1. Location
The hotel should be close to the action and have a good logistics. Now, that depends on what type of Pattaya girls you prefer.
If you want to bang hookers and freelancers during your stay, the best location is near Walking Street and LK Metro. Those areas are packed with the best Pattaya’s Go Go bars and nightclubs in Pattaya.
On the other hand, if you prefer to pick up local girls or date quality girls met on a Thai dating site , you better book a hotel room in Central Pattaya.
This guide is divided by location to suit your taste.
2. Value for Money
Why pay more when you can pay less?
Pattaya has so many quality adults-only hotels low in price that has earned the top spot of the cheapest destination in Thailand.
Not only the hotels are cheap, but also the girls are a great deal.
3. The Hotel is Girl Friendly
Meaning that you can bring back girls without extra charges and without being looked at by the service staff like a weirdo… Some hotel is family-friendly, others are gay-friendly and others are patronized by ladyboys.
To avoid getting into the wrong hotel, you can either write an email before booking or you can just check out my following list of the 17 best girl friendly adult-only hotels in Pattaya…

• Dusit D2 Baraquda ; This is the closest five stars hotel to LK Metro, about 10 minutes away by walk. In front, there is a road called “Post Office” where you can find the best happy ending massage parlors in Pattaya.
Also, you can send postcards at the post office 🙂
If you prefer to do your naughty stuff during the day but also sometimes enjoying going out at night, a hotel nearby Soi 6 is what you need…
Cheap Hotels Near Soi 6
• Centara Pattaya Hotel ; It’s five minutes from Soi 6, the infamous road home of the sleaziest short time bars in Pattaya. The fun starts as early as 2 pm till midnight.
Mid-Range Hotels Near Soi 6
• At Mind Serviced Residence ; A 10 minutes walk from Soi 6 and just next to 3 Thai nightclubs where you can pick up local girls.
Luxury Hotel Near Soi 6
• Holiday Inn Pattaya ; Located nearby the major soapy massage parlors in Pattaya and a short distance from Soi 6, a double daily pleasure. Also, only 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk to Walking Street.
If you’re planning to visit Pattaya because you want to pick up local girls or you’ve met a cute Thai girl online , a hotel room isn’t going to work for you.
Good girls aren’t easy to get and much harder to undress. If they think you’re a tourist, you get labeled immediately as “sex tourist” and you’re going to miss the “shot”.
The best way to get laid is to be considered a resident in Thailand.
Rent a villa.
You might be thinking that renting a Villa is super expensive, but that isn’t the case in Pattaya… You can rent a villa for only $150 per night. If you’re 2 friends, for example, you can split the bills.
Imagine spending a week in a private pool villa where you can play with the girls without indiscrete eyes. Yes bro, that is a lot of FUN!
My favorite place to rent when I’m in Pattaya is Private Beach Pool Villa by All Villas.
Located in one of the best locations in Pattaya, this villa has a private beach. Yes, you heard me correctly, your own beach for swimming and sunbath. That’s just insane.
Of course, there is a private swimming pool where you can swim naked with your girlfriends.
When the girls are going to step into this villa, they are going to melt for you. They’ll think that you own a villa, you live in Pattaya and you’re the prize.
They’ll do anything to please you 🙂

Pattaya Booms with Tourist Influx, Hotels Exceed 90% Occupancy
By webfact March 1 in Pattaya News
Recommended Posts
Pattaya — Pattaya is experiencing a surge in tourism, with hotels exceeding 90% room occupancy driven by an influx of visitors from China, Russia, and India, alongside a rise in domestic tourism.
According to Mr. Sanphet Supabawornsathien, president of the Eastern Thai Hotel Association, this positive trend is fueled by several factors. Russian tourists, seeking respite from the cold and the ongoing war with Ukraine, have chosen Pattaya as their destination, leading to increased flight frequency since late January.
This resurgence is further bolstered by the return of Chinese tourists, who began visiting Pattaya earlier this year. Indian tourists are also contributing to the tourism boom. Notably, while domestic Thai tourists were relatively scarce in January, their numbers have significantly risen during recent long weekends, indicating a growing domestic travel interest in Pattaya.

What time frame?
I think the numbers reflect only a short period of time.....
Must have been all the ' chack wows ' on the beach!
Judging by the long tailbacks on Pattaya Tai yesterday, Pattaya is full to overflowing.
Pattaya is getting too crowded for my taste. The traffic pretty bad as well. Not just because of holidays, but it seems to be ongoing. Hua Hin may be a better option for some long timers.
One noodle shop had a 30 minute wait. That's never happened to me before in Thailand.

Something to be proud abouts that you have all the Russians since you are one of the few country's in the world to welcome them , all about the money as usual Thailand.
WOT??? I thought COVID was the last nail in the coffin .

Pattaya Klang the same but where is all the traffic going to heading down to Beach Road, these can’t be tourists but day trippers.
I tried to get a Baht Bus on Pattaya Tai yesterday, there wasn’t any, they used to park up at the top of Pattaya Tai but yesterday there wasn’t any, a long walk to Friendship and not one passed me in either direction ?
Do the Russians have their own AseanNow? What about the Chinese? The Indians?
It'd be interesting to get on these and see wtf goes on in their heads ...

That's another odd thing. It looks like there's not many people in the bars or restaurants or even along the sidewalk, yet the street is jammed with vehicles rushing from one place to another.
Where are all the people going??
The noodle shop I mentioned with the 30 minute wait was not that crowded, it was backed up orders from grab and such.
The other night I was eating across the street from a bar who had zero customers the entire time around, yet the street was packed with cars.
Maybe people partying in soapies, hotel rooms or the chinese buffets, or hanging out in places I don't normally go??

Same on Na Kluea Road, all the years I've been coming here and lived here for some time now have I ever known the traffic so bad, this is every day, as already mentioned, where are these people going, where have they been? Just a never ending flow of traffic.

Very much agree. I wonder if the highway construction is diverting Bangkok traffic here too, it is hard going to drive to Hua Hin from there I hear. I see lunchtime queues at some places on Klang frequently at weekends. Too many long holidays on top are an aggravation if one lives here.

For the most part it seems to me they drive from Bangkok to visit the
airconditioned shopping malls, with a brief look at the beach at sundown then drive back to Bangkok again.

That airplane terminal mall is always pretty crowded with people. I think that's where many of them end up.
I don't see many people actually buying things in the shops in there though, which always seem to be devoid of customers with just staff in there waiting. It's more like people are just floating around the hallways looking at the country themes on the various levels. Similar to Las Vegas where everyone walks up and down the strip looking at things, but few people actually gamble in the casino's.

Our ANF Economists specializing in Thai Shopping Malls have never been able to see anyone buy anything in a Thai shopping mall. Conclusive verification is achieved by their shopping bag count made as they waddle to and from the food courts. NO shopping bag has ever been seen.
The problem is that Thais, Chinese, Indians, and Russians by definition have no money and are therefore invisible . A few Hi So Thais have money, but they only buy expensive good abroad. Fact.
Now the remaining great Golden Egg Layers staying over in Soi Buakhao flophouses DO of course have lots of money, merely needing visa agents for convenience, but they insist they absolutely won't buy that overpriced cr*ap. As one of our most distinguished Economists intoned portentously in 2009 when those fools opened Central Festival:
Central World is going to fail, just like The Avenues. Anyone stupid enough to build a place that charges Bangkok prices in a small tourist resort town deserves to go bankrupt.
So that leaves NO possible buyers in the malls.
Hence the purpose of any Thai mall must only be to launder money . Fallback: the shops are simply for marketing presence. All of them.

I have never seen a shop that crowded there 🤷🏻♂️
I'm not a Pattaya local and try and avoid going anywhere near the place, however I needed to be there last week.
My previous visit was about 5 years ago. My the place has spread. Beach road is no longer the only main area.
Accommodation seemed busy everywhere. I was only planning on staying the one night but due to a freakn slow bus from Korat and visa delays needed a second night.
A lot of the place I saw were fully booked and using Agoda was really my only option. Even then it took a few attempts to find a free spot.
Gotta return in 3 weeks so will definitely book well in advance if I decide to stay.
Maybe hire a car and just do a quick trip from Korat. Won't use the direct bus again.... they state about 6 hrs but it was closer to 7.5hrs.
