Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter – See it All Tour 2023

“R ock n Roll recording artists and globetrotting journeymen, Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter have their sights set on a World Record with their new SEE IT ALL TOUR 2023.

The concept is simple. The execution will be brutal….. 50 shows in all 50 American states in less than 50 days.  Like modern day Evel Knievel’s, the tour is going to test the wills of these road tested veterans at every turn.

For nearly four decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been travelling the globe, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. With over a dozen albums under his belt, Frankenreiter has worked it on the touring trail worldwide for three decades. Donavon is a brand ambassador for Flying Embers as well as Sanuk Footwear and also co-owner of Humble Brands, Caddis Eyewear and several other companies.

Blues Music Award-winning singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Devon Allman (son of Rock legend Gregg Allman) has appeared at the world’s biggest festivals and has co-founded the supergroups Royal Southern Brotherhood and The Allman Betts Band amassing a recording catalog of 11 albums. He writes a column for Guitar Player Magazine, is endorsed by Gibson guitars, and serves on the board of directors for the National Blues Museum.

The See it All Tour will take them to places they’ve never been, at a pace that’s never been done. Doing one set entirely together with a backing band, the duo will be playing songs off of their soon to be released collaborative EP titled “Rollers.” Be a part of music history and cheer on Team D&D. Let’s kick the tires and start the fires.

Rock 'n' roll recording artists and globe-trotting journeymen Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter are hoping to make history in 2023. The longtime friends have teamed up for the See It All American Tour to attempt to set the Official World Record for fastest time to play a concert in each of the 50 states, which is currently 50 in 50 days set in 2003.

The concept is simple, but the execution will be brutal as Allman and Frankenreiter seek to complete the challenge in 49 days. To commemorate this special occasion, the two multi-talented artists are releasing a collaborative new single "See It All" - PRESS HERE to listen now via the official music video. The song will be available on DSPs this Friday, April 14th - PRESS HERE to pre-save.

The See It All Tour will launch on August 5th with two shows in one day, first in Maryland and then Pennsylvania. From there, the tour will officially take off bringing these road warriors to places they've never been, at a pace that's never been done, testing their wills at every turn, before wrapping September 22nd in California at a yet-to-be-announced event in the Los Angeles area with hopeful celebrations.

Along the way, Devon and Donavon, who will perform a collaborative set with a four-piece backing band, will be joined nightly by rotating support acts: Matt Andersen, JD Simo, Matt Costa, Davy Knowles, Mishka, Jackson Stokes, and Goodnight Texas.

Pre-sale tickets for the See It All Tour will be available Wednesday, April 12th and Thursday, April 13th at 10am local time (pre-sale code: SEEITALL) with the public on-sale commencing Friday, April 14th at 10am local time. See below for full list of tour dates and visit www.devonanddonavon.com for more info and to purchase.

"I've had this idea in my back pocket for the better part of a decade," shares Allman. "50 shows in the 50 United States in 50 days. I think growing up reading the World Record books, it's just always been a fantasy to go after a world record. This undertaking is going to be really difficult, but very rewarding and I really found the perfect co-conspirator in Donavon Frankenreiter. We have been jamming together for years now and are quite simpatico...he is the perfect Evel to my Knievel."

"There's no better way to see it all but by playing all 50 states in under 50 days and I couldn't think of a better friend to do something this crazy with," adds Frankenreiter. "I first met Devon on the Allman Family Revival Tour and we always talked about doing something together. One morning, Devon called me and said he had this crazy idea about breaking a world record. As soon as he said 50 shows in 50 states under 50 days I said 'Yes, let's do this.' And now, a year later, we are ready to see it all...or at least attempt to see it all!"

For nearly four decades, Donavon Frankenreiter has been travelling the globe, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. With over a dozen albums under his belt, Frankenreiter has worked it on the touring trail worldwide for three decades, entertaining audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves, philosophical lyrics, and soulful delivery. Donavon is a brand ambassador for Flying Embers as well as Sanuk Footwear and also co-owner of Humble Brands, Caddis Eyewear and several other companies.

50 Shows in 50 States in Less Than 50 Days: What Maniac Musicians Would Try to Set This Record?

By Garret K. Woodward

Garret K. Woodward

By the time you read this, Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter will be just about halfway through an attempt at breaking a world record of playing 50 shows in 50 states in 50 days — the kicker being that the duo will aim to complete the task in 49.

“If everything goes well, we should be sitting on the record by September 22 — we are road dogs and this is for bragging rights,” Allman, the son of the late Gregg Allman , tells Rolling Stone . “But, more importantly, this is a call to arms to inspire people to travel. Go to the next county, go to the Grand Canyon. Leave your known surroundings and go find yourself.”

“Last night, we played Clarksburg, West Virginia,” Allman says. “And small-town America still exists, this old coal-mining town from back in the day. It was this place we wouldn’t normally get to see, and the show was so much fun. Sometimes those smaller shows are the best.”

Normally, the Southern Appalachian community of Wytheville (pop: 8,241) would be a diesel and/or bathroom stop for a national touring act en route to bigger markets in Lexington, Knoxville, Charlotte, or Richmond.

But with the Allman & Frankenreiter See It All Tour, Wytheville found itself the ideal spot for the absurd tour routing of the record attempt. The same goes for other off-the-beaten path dates — Plymouth, New Hampshire (pop: 6,779); Walhalla, South Carolina (4,095); Bayfield, Wisconsin (588).

Although Allman had the idea for the world record attempt over a decade ago, it wasn’t until his 50th birthday last year that he realized pursuing the achievement could be the ideal spark to set the pace for this second half of his life. But he didn’t want to go it alone.

“I needed a co-conspirator,” Allman says. “[Donavon] was the first guy that came to mind. He’s crazy enough to do this. So, I called him up and he signed on before I even finished the pitch.”

Initially crossing paths at AmericanaFest in Nashville in 2017, the two immediately clicked. While Allman comes from the Southern rock and blues realm, Frankenreiter, a 50-year-old former pro-surfer and California native, hails from the toes-in-the-sand, joint-in-hand West Coast indie-folk scene.

“I think the biggest surprise to me — across the board — is the chemistry [between us],” Allman says. “Donavon’s got this smoky, surfer vibe and I’ve always had more of a high-octane vibe. You wonder, ‘Will this work live?’ And it really does.”

“He and I are very similar in our work etiquette: we want to work and get stuff done,” Frankenreiter says. “Who knows where this project could go after this tour?”

Onstage, the sound and spectacle is bright, fiery, and inspired. The undulating tone weaves seamlessly between numerous avenues of rock music — indie, surf, garage, Southern, psychedelic — with other textures of jazz fusion and funk added for good measure.

“Everything is so fresh [onstage],” Frankenreiter says. “We’re all in it for a purpose. Everybody gets why we’re here and it’s been refreshing every night.”

It’s a little after 10 p.m. and the band bids farewell to Wythe County and greater Southwestern Virginia on an otherwise quiet Wednesday night. With tube amps cooling off and guitars being placed back into their cases, Allman and Frankenreiter emerge from a backstage side alley and walk straight toward a few dozen lingering fans.

The local concertgoers are happily surprised by the post-show appearance, with many commenting “thank you for being here” before asking for a selfie or an autograph — a memento of that time “Devon and Donavan rocked the Millwald.”

“This is what keeps us living,” Allman says. “If I can climb up a flight of stairs and sit on a chair and tell a story, then I’ll be doing this for as long as I live.”

Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter Offer Update on Their Record-Setting Concert Tour (Exclusive)

Allman and Frankenreiter have been attempting to play shows in all 50 states in under 50 days.

By Stephen Andrew - September 21, 2023 07:41 pm EDT

Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter have been on the whirlwind, record-setting See It All American Tour , playing 50 concerts in all 50 U.S. states in less than 50 days. Just ahead of their final shows, the acclaimed musicians sat down with PopCulture.com to share how things have been going and how they're feeling as they close in on completing their trek. "I feel like our energy level, whether you're on a tour of this magnitude or not, our energy level is always based on the energy of the crowd," Allman shared.

Offering an example, the rocker said, "You're playing a Monday night in West Virginia, and maybe there's 150 people, versus 900 at a Friday night or a big festival." He then added, "But the one thing, Donovan said it around the 40th show, and I concur, is that we haven't phoned in one performance. We haven't cut any corners. I do this song called, 'Where You Going to Run To?' It's almost a heavy metal-style vocal. I haven't cut any corners. I haven't backed off the gas. We haven't cut any corners. It's a great show."

devon-donavon-credit-rodney-bursiel.jpg

Allman and Frankenreiter have been playing a blend of solo material with the songs from their joint  Rollers EP ,  which brings together each of their talents for a collection of high-octane rock 'n' roll tracks. They are not shy about admitting, however, that playing the songs and putting it all out on the stage, night after night, with no breaks, certainly takes a toll. "It's super brutal," Allman said, then sharing that they and their band have made an effort to keep themselves from running on empty. "You try to get healthy food. Some of the guys hit the gym every day or just do a parking lot workout."

"If you get to sleep, which is really the hardest thing," he revealed, "and stay hydrated, it's usually going to work out for you. Those are the two main elements. But sleep, that's what's really, really hard." Regardless of how intense and draining the tour has been, Frankenreiter explained that he isn't slowing down any time soon. "I got a gig a week later," he said of his plans after the last See It All American Tour date in California on Friday, Sept. 22,"we're just going f—ing just play through and play on." He added, "I got to go home and finish an album. But it's going to be a big relief. They always say you can't make up sleep. It's like whatever we lost, we lost in sleep. And when I get home and I get one good night of sleep and a bed that's not moving, I'll be fine."

Frankenreiter then offered a very keen and fascinating observation about their tour. "It's really weird. I don't know what it is, if it's because we're going after a f—ing end goal or a world record, but I've done three-week tours where I feel worse on that three-week tour than I do on this one. I don't know what it is," he said. "I don't know if it's because, mentally, we're not letting our bodies or our minds go to a place to where we can crumble. It's really interesting. It's f—ing bizarre. I don't know. I was like, "I feel so good today. I'm ready to play." It's weird. There's been some shows where I've been out on other tours, and I'm like, 'F—, man, I don't have it in me tonight.'"

"It's interesting going out and doing a tour with a purpose at the end," he continued. "Not that the other ones don't, but you go on your tour for three weeks and you go home. You went out and you f—ing toured. But this is really an interesting one. And it's like we're doing something every day that we've never done. We're trying to get to this end goal, and it's f—ing crazy to cover that much ground."

"I mean, I realized we were doing all 50 states," Frankenreiter added. "But until you get on a bus and you drive to all of them, it's fucking insane. We have 14, 15-hour drives, multiple nights in a row, that were just fucking brutal, where you'd leave the venue, pull up to the venue, load in, soundcheck, play, leave the venue, arrive at the next venue. It's not like, 'Oh, we're going to walk around and see the town....'" But we're kind of reaching our peak. We got a big one tomorrow. We've got to fly to Honolulu and then fly back and then play LA. I told Devon, once the plane lands in LA, we're going to f—ing be stoked, to be like, 'Okay, we're going to do this.'" When it come to the question of whether ot not they'd ever attempt to break their own record in the future, Frankenreiter made it crystal clear where he stands on the idea. "I'm not f—ing doing this again. I'll tell you what," he said. Allman added, "We've said it before... Anybody wants to go after the record, good luck." For fans hoping to hear more collaboration from the two, Frankenreiter revealed, "It's never off the table. And the next thing to come is we recorded live in Texas on this tour. So we are going to put up a record from this tour." Allman added, "The branding of us together is complete. We've made a record together. Now, we've done a couple tours, and then we've done this tour, so it's there. If we wanted to go play all the European countries and put out a second EP, we can totally do that whenever we want. So I think the future's wide open. We'll see what happens."

Allman and Frankenreiter are at The Blue Note in Honolulu, Hawaii tonight, and then they fly back to the continental U.S. for their final show at the Beachlife Ranch Festival in Redondo Beach, California on Friday. Notably, the festival will be live-streaming the final gig, so fans can click here to learn more and see the pair officially break the record live!

Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter embark on the most bonkers tour ever: 50 shows in 50 states in 49 days

Donavon Frankenreiter (left) and Devon Allman begin their 50-state tour Saturday with shows in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Then they sprint through New England beginning Monday.

Fifty concerts. 50 states. 49 days. Two up-for-anything 50-year-olds. One world-record attempt.

About 10 years ago, Devon Allman (son of the late Gregg Allman) had an idea: 50 shows in 50 states in 50 days. “I thought it was a stupid, dumb idea, but unique, for sure,” Allman says with a laugh. “At that time, I had no idea anyone had ever tried it.”

More recently, with his 50th birthday upon him, the idea resurfaced, and he began to research. Sure enough, there had been similar attempts. Those include George Thorogood ’s 50/50 tour in ‘81, the Melvins’ 51/51 in 2012, and Frank Turner last year. Adam Brodsky played 50 states in 50 days in 2003, according to Guinness.

So he raised the bar: 50 shows in 49 days.

The only “crazy-enough person” he could think of for a travel partner? His buddy, pro-surfer-turned-pro-musician Donavon Frankenreiter. Their friendship goes back seven years, but Allman says “it feels like 20.”

“I go: I’m in,” Frankenreiter says. “Now that it’s coming up, it’s like, oh, [expletive], what did we do?”

The tour starts Saturday with back-to-back shows in Maryland and Pennsylvania. New York follows, then it’s a New England sprint: Aug. 7 in Westerly, R.I. ; Aug. 8 in Plymouth, N.H. ; Aug. 9 in Great Barrington ; Aug. 10 (Allman’s 51st birthday) in Portland, Maine ; Aug. 11 in Burlington, Vt. ; Aug. 12 in Hartford, Conn. If all goes according to plan, the tour will end triumphantly Sept. 22 at the BeachLife Ranch festival in California.

“If we’re playing BeachLife Ranch, that’s going to be a moment you can’t re-create,” Frankenreiter says.

And they’re determined to get there. They’ve made a collaborative EP, “Rollers,” to accompany their “ See It All American Tour,” complete with themed single: “ See It All .”

We had more questions for Allman and Frankenreiter, who talked record-breaking, roadside showering, and winging it.

Q. So what’s going to be the hardest part? Alaska and Hawaii seem tough.

Frankenreiter. Those two days will be out of our control because we’re flying. If the bus broke down, I’d say, “Devon, grab an acoustic.” We’re planes, trains, and automobiles at that point. But if we land in Alaska, and they’re like, “Dude, the airport’s closing tomorrow,” it’ll just be a bummer. Or if planes are grounded. I feel like we could pull everything else off.

Allman. We’re both family men, and it’s a brutally long time to be away from home — without food you can control, proper sleep/hygiene, your bed, the sanctity of your house, your wife . Being longer in the tooth, 21 days is about my limit on tour. This is double and then some. That’s daunting.

Frankenreiter. I do a lot of 35, 40 shows in a row — but [that includes] seven shows [in one state]. This is no rest for the wicked.

Allman. There’s some finality built in that will give it some sense of urgency. It’s not like we’re gonna, say, “Let’s do it in 48 days, next year!” That ain’t happening.

Frankenreiter. A lot of these drives are 10, 12 hours, unload, do it again. We’ll do my songs, his songs, songs off the EP. I’m glad we’re doing this together, like two brothers. I couldn’t imagine [doing this] solo.

The agents were like, “Hey, man, this wasn’t some small feat.” I talked to the road manager, he’s like, “Dude, I gotta tell you, I’ve never advanced 50 shows in a row, this is [expletive] kinda crazy.”

Frankenreiter. The routing is just where we can get to the next spot.

Allman. We’re doing festivals, theaters, and [expletives] to get this done.

Q. You guys are filming this?

Frankenreiter. We’re filming this entire escapade. We’ll have a daily Instagram update. Then we’re going to put it out either as a documentary or TV show. We’ll see who implodes. Day 30? You might have guys jumping overboard. “I’m outta here, man.”

Allman. My money’s on me. [Laughs]

Q. Is the same band going with you the whole time?

Frankenreiter. It’s the same guys [bassist Matt Grundy, drummer John Lum, guitarist Jackson Stokes, and percussionist David Gomez]. Playing music is the easy part. The hard part is finding out where you’re going to shower, wash your clothes.

Q. Do you have hotels booked for every night?

Frankenreiter. No, we’re showering at all the venues. If they don’t have showers, bring in a garden hose, we’ll be in the alley.

Allman. Speak for yourself.

Q. So is there any one day that’s the most grueling for road travel?

Frankenreiter. The first day is intense. I think about the bus driver. This guy’s gonna look at the route and be like, “Wait, what? No days off and I’m driving to all [expletive] 48 states in the mainland?”

Buddies have been texting me. One sent me this thing the other day: “Check this guy out.” Someone did 50 Ironman [triathlons] in 50 days .

Frankenreiter. I went, “Geez if he can do that, we got this.”

Q. Donavon, you live in Hawaii and were born in California. Devon, you were born in Texas, live in Missouri. The home-state shows will be fun.

Frankenreiter. I’m gonna take him surfing in Waikiki. We’re gonna film it. [Laughs]

Allman. St. Louis is right in the middle of the tour. So it’s a good time to do laundry, eat at my favorite restaurant, pet my dog .

Q. Donavon, you plan to surf when you can .

Frankenreiter. I’ll surf in Montauk [Long Island], Hawaii. We’re going to figure out a cool thing to do in each state, if we have time, during the day.

Q. Any ideas for New England?

Frankenreiter. I haven’t looked at the tour and been like, “Okay, what time is the bus arriving?” I’ll do that the day before.

Allman. A lot of fun is winging it.

Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter have set a new Guinness World Record! They performed fifty live concerts in all fifty states in forty-nine days. Allman and Frankenreiter are no strangers to working hard and making people happy. Both men are workhorses in the entertainment industry and this achievement has cemented their ambitious work ethic into the history books forever. If you think about the logistical challenges an endeavor like this brings to the table, one can only imagine the time and effort that went into the journey.

This magical musical extravaganza on stage and behind the scenes deserves recognition and bragging rights forever. Usually, a touring band will have a select number of days off while on the road and the tour routing oftentimes includes multiple shows in the same state. These boys weren’t having any of that as they navigated their way across the United States on a mission and now that mission has come to fruition. Allman on guitar and vocals and Frankenreiter also on guitar and vocals played material from both of their catalogs of music. They assembled a great band with obviously a lot of stamina to bring along on the expedition. Jackson Stokes on guitar, John Lum on drums, Matt Grundy on bass, and David Gomez on percussion and saxophone added their incredible talents and creativity to the mix.

All of the aforementioned musicians have their own musical projects going on and have been in the industry for a very long time touring and recording music. Each musician has a history with Allman and when Allman set forward the idea of the world record attempt no one batted an eye about being part of his surreal concept that had been on his mind for quite some time. So off they went starting in Annapolis, Maryland, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on August 5th, 2023 getting the double state day done right out of the gate. From there the whirlwind of travel was upon them like no other time in their lives. To look at where they started the miles they have traveled and the faces they melted along the way is mind-blowing in many ways.

Grateful Web was fortunate to catch up with Jackson Stokes and the hardest-working tour manager in the business Martin Lewis last night in Las Vegas. They both said a tour like this obviously presents challenges and rewards. The rewards outweigh the challenges by far. The biggest challenge is getting enough sleep with the travel schedule to be in fifty states in forty-nine days. The band was flying to Hawaii just a handful of hours after Las Vegas to play show #49 then from there to Los Angeles for the final show and claiming the world record.

Donavon Frankenreiter | Las Vegas, NV

Jackson Stokes has been playing with Allman for a handful of years on various projects including the annual Allman Family Revival that began in 2017. He is also on Allman’s record label Create Records and his sophomore EP titled “Passengers” will be released on October 13th, 2023. Luther Dickinson and Devon Allman co-produced the new record. Along with the new music comes a new tour for Stokes beginning in Charleston, South Carolina on October 26th. Best of luck to Jackson and his band out there ripping it up. In addition to playing guitar with Allman and Frankenreiter Stokes was pulling double duty on the “See It All Tour” opening the shows solo. Tour dates for the upcoming tour are included here - https://jacksonstokes.com/tour/ .

Matt Grundy, John Lum, Devon Allman, David Gomez, Donavon Frankenreiter, Jackson Stokes

The show in Las Vegas was nothing short of extraordinary. Allman, Frankenreiter, and Stokes are a powerful front-line of guitar players. Each of them had their own style, tone, and stage presence that came from years of playing live shows. It felt like a freight train of power as they traded back and forth from rhythm to lead guitar parts, each displaying great technical skills and straight-ahead rock and roll riffs that could peel paint from the walls. I mean powerful riffs that bite into your soul and awaken your senses to another level of euphoria.

Devon Allman | Brooklyn Bowl Vegas

The rhythm section of Lum on drums, Grundy on bass, and Gomez on percussion and saxophone was rock solid. These three are the heartbeat, the backbone, and the glue that kept the train smoothly rolling along the tracks and into unknown territories as there was great improvisational skilling being displayed by everyone. The band played Allman and Frankenreiter tunes as well as some they co-wrote. The funky hard-hitting arrangements were like a wall of sound with no solid lines, just passing lanes for the songs to weave in and out of on an endless road of exploration. The band sounded so tight and so comfortable on stage, and even more importantly their friendships shined through with great adoration and love for one another and what they do.

Final stop Los Angeles, California, September 22nd, 2023 the band performed the world record show at the Beachlife Ranch Festival in Redondo Beach, California. What a whirlwind of excitement for the band and fans. A new world record was set and a remarkable feat of ambition and stamina was displayed by everyone involved. Congratulations to Devon, Donavon, Jackson, Matt, John, David, Martin, Rueben, and the rest of the behind-the-scenes team for pulling off this incredible endeavor. You all deserve a trip to Disneyland!

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter Announce See It All American Tour

devon allman and donavon frankenreiter tour

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter  Announce  See It All American Tour  August 5 th Through September 22 nd.   Attempt To Set Official World Record With  50 Shows in 50 States in less than 50 Days

Los Angeles, CA – April 11, 2023 – Rock ‘n’ roll recording artists and globe-trotting journeymen Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter are hoping to make history in 2023. The longtime friends have teamed up for the See It All American Tour to attempt to set the Official World Record for fastest time to play a concert in each of the 50 states, which is currently 50 in 50 days set in 2003. The concept is simple, but the execution will be brutal as Allman and Frankenreiter seek to complete the challenge in 49 days .

The See It All Tour will launch on August 5 th with two shows in one day, first in Maryland and then Pennsylvania . From there, the tour will officially take off bringing these road warriors to places they’ve never been, at a pace that’s never been done, testing their wills at every turn, before wrapping September 22 nd in California at a yet-to-be-announced event in the Los Angeles area with hopeful celebrations. Along the way, Devon and Donavon , who will perform a collaborative set with a four-piece backing band, will be joined nightly by rotating support acts: Matt Andersen, JD Simo, Matt Costa, Davy Knowles, Mishka, Jackson Stokes, and Goodnight Texas .

“I’ve had this idea in my back pocket for the better part of a decade,” shares Allman . “50 shows in the 50 United States in 50 days.  I think growing up reading the World Record books, it’s just always been a fantasy to go after a world record. This undertaking is going to be really difficult, but very rewarding and I really found the perfect co-conspirator in Donavon Frankenreiter. We have been jamming together for years now and are quite simpatico…he is the perfect Evel to my Knievel.”

“There’s no better way to see it all but by playing all 50 states in under 50 days and I couldn’t think of a better friend to do something this crazy with,” adds Frankenreiter. “I first met Devon on the Allman Family Revival Tour and we always talked about doing something together. One morning, Devon called me and said he had this crazy idea about breaking a world record. As soon as he said 50 shows in 50 states under 50 days I said ‘Yes, let’s do this.’ And now, a year later, we are ready to see it all…or at least attempt to see it all!”

Blues Music Award-winning singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Devon Allman (son of rock legend Gregg Allman) has appeared at the world’s biggest festivals and co-founded the supergroups Royal Southern Brotherhood and The Allman Betts Band, amassing a recording catalog of 11 albums. Allman also writes a column for Guitar Player Magazine , is endorsed by Gibson guitars, and serves on the board of directors for the National Blues Museum.

Be a part of music history and cheer on Team D&D as they attempt to set the Official World Record on the See It All Tour this August and September. Let’s kick the tires and start the fires!!  Tickets are available at arcadalive.com.

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter Announce New EP ‘Rollers’

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter Announce New EP ‘Rollers’ and release new single “Calling All You Riders.”

Rock ‘n’ roll recording artists and globe-trotting journeymen Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter have released a new single “Calling All You Riders” and revealed a collaborative EP, Rollers , will be released in June ahead of the duo’s See It All American Tour.

“Calling All You Riders” casts an old-school, Western shadow that’s atmospheric and cinematic. The mood is hushed, the tone is high and lonesome. Allman and Frankenreiter display a perfect touch for this kind of material, keeping the vocals serious and the steel guitar ghostly. We don’t hear this type of sound too often anymore, which is what makes this track so special. It’s the sort of song that will lead you into the desert and out the other side. Listen late at night on the highway and it’ll become your new favorite song.

Listen to “Calling All You Riders.”

Stream the new single Here

The song’s dark country and western vibes set the tone for their upcoming tour, which will find the longtime friends attempt to set the Official World Record for fastest time to play a concert in each of the 50 states, currently 50 in 50 days set in 2003. The concept is simple, but the execution will be brutal as Allman and Frankenreiter seek to complete the challenge in 49 days.

To commemorate the occasion, the two multi-talented artists will release Rollers on Friday, June 23rd via Allman’s Create Records. The 6-song collection, produced by Luther Dickinson of the multiple Grammy-nominated North Mississippi All-Stars, also features the duo’s previously released single “See It All.” Rollers is now available to pre-order – PRESS HERE .

This 6-song EP is a reflection of two friends collaborating on songs thinking about doing 50 shows in 50 states in 49 days,” shares Frankenreiter. “As the first single says, we are going to see it all and as the second single describes, we are calling all you riders. It’s the musical soundtrack to our world record attempt.”

Devon Allman & Donavon Frankenreiter, ‘Rollers’ EP cover

“These songs aren’t rockers, they’re rollers…the perfect soundtrack for you to roll from town to town on a summertime road trip,” adds Allman. “These songs’ moods are very special to us. They are part muscle/part mystical.”

The See It All American Tour kicks off on August 5th with two shows in one day, first in Maryland and then Pennsylvania. From there, the tour will officially take off bringing these road warriors to places they’ve never been, at a pace that’s never been done, testing their wills at every turn, before wrapping September 22nd in California at BeachLife Ranch, the second annual coastal country SoCal festival co-founded by Frankenreiter, with hopeful celebrations. Along the way, Devon and Donavon, who will perform a collaborative set including music from their new Rollers EP with a four-piece backing band, will be joined nightly by rotating support acts: Matt Andersen, JD Simo, Matt Costa, Davy Knowles, Mishka, Jackson Stokes , and Goodnight Texas .
