This will give you ample time to navigate through any potential traffic or transportation delays and avoid long queues that can cause unnecessary stress.

Check-In Online Beforehand

By doing this, you’ll be able to skip some of the lines and go straight through security when you arrive at the Singapore Cruise Centre. Passengers are typically grouped into different “bubbles” based on their COVID-19 vaccination status or other health-related factors. Depending on where you fall within these categories, your boarding time may differ from other passengers.

Be Prepared with Necessary Documents

Before checking in at the Singapore Cruise Centre, make sure you have all necessary documents ready, including passports, visas (if applicable), and cruise tickets. Having these items readily available will help speed up the check-in process and ensure a smoother experience for everyone involved.

Drive Cruise a good option - hassle free

We went on a 4D3N Cruise on Voyager of the seas and decided to try the drive cruise option at MBCC. We parked our car at the car park at the departure level and purchase the drive cruise coupon (S$45) at the counter. Note that they only accept exact amount and cash payment only. As we disembark on the last day, other than the long queue for passports...overall it was a smooth journey as the baggages are already ready for collection at the baggage point. (Faster than in the airport). While there were long queue at the taxi stand, we just hop on to our car and drive home. Note: Do remember to take out your cash card!

It was our first time coming to this cruise centre to embark on Royal Carribean Cruise - Voyager of the Seas. This cruise centre looks brand new and can only house 2 cruises. There is not much facilities at this cruise centre, only a few shops.

We went on a 4 day cruise on the Voyager of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. The 15 deck mammoth ship is a floating 5star resort. The embarkation process had lots of procedures but was well organised. Royal Caribbean treats all it's guests as Royals. Rooms were done up nicely.Even for a pure vegetarian like me the food variety was great and for the carnivores, mind boggling. The dessert chef whipped up great stuff for the last dinner.ice Odyssey performed by a multinational team( you can call them skaters acrobats or gymnasts) with lights sound and smoke kept us spellbound for 40minutes. Swimming pools,, casinos table tennis ,water surfing, video games -activities are endless. The orchestra made even the lazy and the shy shake their legs with their tunes for the DANCING UNDER THE STARS program.Shore excursions were great with knowledgeable guides. The sore point with the cruise centre was that the white cabs charge $50 for a trip which cost us only $10 in the reverse direction. Maybe the cab people took us for Royals and took us for a Royal ride.(pun intended)

We travelled from here on a cruise ship called voyager of the seas. It was a 4 night cruise visiting Penang and Phuket. Ship was lovely and had everything we needed. The fire drill was a necessity but I wouldn't want there to be a real emergency as it seemed like chaos. Excursions from the ship were well organised. The port held up disembarkation so we were sat around which was a pain as we had transport arranged the other side. Would recommend the cruise company.

cruise centre singapore parking

As with nearly all things Singapore, this place operates like clockwork. Movement is swift through customs and all transport readily available just outside doors

The cruise centre is no where near any eateries, so have your meals before you board or you will be disappointed. Very well organised as it is still new. 500m away from the nearest NL mrt station- Marina South Pier Station. As for cabs, once the cruise ends expect alot of traffic, waiting period can be 45 minutes unless one uses Uber or Grab. There are charges for these cabs coming in, just like one catching a cab from the airport.

Marina South Pier Parking – Carpark Location And Rates

Orchard library – getting there, opening hours & a tour, bras basah mrt station (cc2), city hall mrt station (ns25/ew13).

Marina South Pier Carpark

Marina South Pier carpark is an open-air carpark. Landmarks are sparse in the area. With the exception of Marina South Pier MRT station and the building itself, there are no notable developments that are within a stone’s throw. Other than members of the public who visit the Singapore Maritime Gallery and board ferries to the southern islands, the people who set foot in this area are mostly working personnel and crew members of ships. With the excellent connectivity of the area via MRT on the North-South Line , there is absolutely no need for a big carpark. Nonetheless, for drivers amongst us, information on the Marina South Pier parking rates is provided below.

There are limited parking lots here. The next available carpark is located at Marina Bay Cruise Centre which is about 850 metres away.

If you are boarding a cruise at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, you can alight at Marina South Pier MRT and take a stroll along Marina Coastal Drive which is a level road. The stroll may take you 8 to 15 minutes, depending on your walking speed, how heavy your luggage is and if you are accompanied by young kids or elderly folks. Alternatively, you can take SBS Transit Bus 400 at the bus stop just outside the carpark (note that SBS Transit Bus 402 has been discontinued). Alight at the next bus stop to go to Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Once your hotel is sorted, and you are ready, it’s time to start your trip to Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore!

Step 2: Buy a card or ticket for your trip to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.

If you are a Singaporean or a permanent resident, you likely already have a public transportation card. In this case, just make sure that it is topped up and ready to go to avoid unnec essary delays at any of the stations.

However, if you are in the city for just a few days, you will have to buy a new card or purchase the ticket at the station to get to Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.

What we have learned travelling throughout Singapore is that the following three questions help to find the best type of ticket:

Do you want to spend time waiting in line at ticketing counters in MRT stations, or is efficiency your priority?

Are you staying in Singapore for more or less than three days?

Are you just travelling to/from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, or are you planning to see many other places throughout Singapore?

Based on your answers, select one of the following tickets (please see additional information below):

  • Singapore Tourist Passes
  • Stored value cards

Singapore tourist passes are popular with foreign tourists. They are ideal for stays of 1-3 days and provided unlimited trips on buses, MRT and LRT. You also will feel stress-free not worry about going to many places because it is a set price regardless of where you go in the city.

We also recommend these passes if you use a combination of bus and MRT to get to Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Simply use the same card without worrying.

Read More: How to buy Singapore Tourist Passes – The Complete Guide .

Additional MRT Ticket Options

Another great option is purchasing a ‘stored-value card.’ These are like a ‘tap and go’ card where you buy one and then have a cash balance on the card.

We used a stored value card while figuring out how to get to Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore by MRT.

As long as you keep extra cash on your card they are convenient to get on trains and buses.

Must Read: How to buy MRT tickets in Singapore – Everything you need to know.

Step 3: Plan on travelling to Marina South Pier Station or Tanjong Pagar Station .

We have listed two stations for getting to Marina Bay Cruise Centre because visitors travel here using different MRT lines.

The most convenient station for walking directly to Marina Bay Cruise Centre is without question, Marina South Pier Station .

However, it’s also possible to alight at Tanjong Pagar Station and take a bus to Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Check the route map and see which station makes the most sense based on your point of origin.

We will outline how to get to Marina Bay Cruise Centre using both of these stations for your convenience.

Step 4: Ride the MRT to your preferred station.

If you haven’t been to Marina Bay Cruise Centre before, it’s essential to know what lines you can use to get there!

Marina South Pier Station (NS 28) is located North-South Line , shown in red on the transport map. Plan to go there on the train if you want to walk directly to Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

However, if you want to take the bus from Tanjong Pagar Station (EW15), you have to travel along the East-West Line (shown in green on the map).

As a rule of thumb, if you are staying west of Marina Bay, it might be quicker to get off at Tanjong Pagar and take the bus. But, for many tourists, it will be easier to head directly to Marina South Pier Station, which is right near the waterfront and cruise terminals.

Step 5: Alight at Marina South Pier Station or Tanjong Pagar Station .

When the train approaches either Marina South Pier Station or Tanjong Station, get close to the exit door and alight. Bring along all your personal belongings.

Step 6: Exit your preferred station and walk or take the bus to Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.

This section will specifically outline how to get from either Marina South Pier Station or Tanjong Pagar Station to Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Walking directions from Marina South Pier Station to Marina Bay Cruise Centre :

Marina South Pier Station has two exits (A and B) that provide street-level access. Both exits have escalators and elevators if you have lots of luggage on your way to Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Take Exit B and walk alongside the sheltered linkway to Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. The covered walkway is parallel to the waterfront and will protect you from rain and the intense sun.
