Tickets are $39.00 - $69.00 plus fees and are available online at PatchogueTheatre.org . While most tribute artists learn to imitate their idols by watching videos over and over again, Michael Knight took a different approach.

In 2013, Knight sought out Michael Jackson’s backup dancer and choreographer for Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson IMMORTAL, Travis Payne and contracted him to help understand and recreate MJ’s dance moves.

Additionally, in 2014, Knight received vocal training from Jackson’s long-time vocal coach, Seth Riggs.

This training led Knight into becoming one of the top three Michael Jackson Tribute Artists’ in the world today.

ALBUM REVIEW: I – For I Am King

In the last few years FOR I AM KING  have achieved what some bands can only dream of. Having had the opportunity to play  Wacken Open Air before their debut album even hit the airways is a testament that they are on to something special and they hope to build on this with their second full length effort entitled  I which is available now via  Redfield Records .

Prey  gets things underway with a tense building intro before bursting straight into all out insanity. You are confronted by a wall of sound in the form of frantic riffing, vicious growls and thunderous drumming which sets the bar remarkably high from the offset.  Forever Blind takes a different approach with clear, energetic guitar work whilst still remaining the hard hitting elements of its predecessors. The punchy, upbeat stride provide ideal components for a track crying out to be introduced into a live format. Impressive solo sweeping towards the latter stages add the exclamation point. Home ups the ante with frenetic pacing, catchy riff work and hammering blast beats. The poignant lyrical content adds a further dimension to frontwoman Alma Alizadeh ‘s vocal barrage. Usually when such an aggressive delivery is utilised the pronunciation can be lost in the chaos but every word rings crystal clear. Flamboyant solo work helps to supplement the emotive demeanour.

Misery changes the tempo with a subtle echoing intro before a potent drum/bass combo begin to build up the intensity. Jabbing guitar riffs ebb and flow throughout whilst the melody returns as the track progresses.  Invidia  provides a short interlude in the form of distorted guitar tones and powerful solo work teeing up the ferocity of  In Flames . The lethal combination of drums and vocals take centre stage as seething screams and blast beats cut through the mix like razorwire.

The Reaper Of Souls provides some lively Gothenburg vibes with effective lead work and adrenaline fuelled shredding. The track chops and changes style to keep you guessing at every turn.  Devotion combines atmospherics with abrasive vocal blasts and dual riffing reminiscent of  DEVILDRIVER , making sure that  I maintains the high levels of energy towards the latter stages.  In Memory continues the charge with dramatic, punchy instrumentation. The riffs come thick and fast as high-octane shredding runs riot.  Havoc picks up the pace for one final assault as the lead work shines through until the very end, providing a dramatic, dynamic conclusion.

I is constructed from such a powerful array of tracks that each individual effort could stand on it’s own and when offered as a cohesive unit delivers a very powerful spectrum of musicianship. Each element has it’s own opportunities to shine without taking precedence over the rest of the arrangement and this is not a feat which is achieved easily. The lyrical content is thought provoking and is clearly a labour of love which wasn’t taken lightly. A lot of emotion has gone into the development of  I and it is evident throughout. If you’re not familiar with the previous endeavours of  FOR I AM KING then this is the perfect time to become acquainted.

In 2024, BEAT will march to its own drum.

The band, featuring Adrian Belew , Tony Levin , Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey has announced they’ll perform reinterpretations of iconic ’80s King Crimson albums “Discipline,” “Beat” and “Three of A Perfect Pair” at venues all over North America from September through November.

That includes stops at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Oct. 5, Red Bank, NJ’s Hackensack Meridian Theatre on Oct. 9, Rochester’s Kodak Center on Oct. 19 and Albany’s The Egg on Oct. 21.

While original King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp isn’t part of the fall run, he did give the upcoming jaunt its blessing.

“This is the project that Adrian Belew called me about last autumn, a project which I support and fully encourage, and discussed with Steve Vai recently at McCabes in Santa Monica. Even, I suggested the name,” the 77-year-old shared on Facebook .

For fans who want to see the daring rockers live, tickets are available for all concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 5, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

On top of the BEAT tour, Vai is touring with pals Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson on their ‘G3 Tour’ up until May.

Soon after, the  ‘Satch/Vai Tour’  will take off sending the pair — who have played together since Satriani was Vai’s teacher when they were teens — on the road for another three months.

As the Princess of Wales, 42, receives cancer treatment , fans may want to send the royal a letter or card filled with well wishes.

On April 6, X user AllexmarieHoll1 shared a short note they said they received after sending a card to Princess Kate following the palace's announcement that she had undergone abdominal surgery in January. The fan's royal reply on Kensington Palace stationary said, "Thank you for your kind well wishes to Her Royal Highness. The Princess of Wales. Your thoughtful gesture is very much appreciated."

Many royal fans have been sending members of the family mail for special occasions such as birthdays , holidays, wedding anniversaries and major events like last year's coronation . (Prince William and Princess Kate's team even reportedly responded to a young girl who invited Prince George to her birthday party!)

AllexmarieHoll1 shared they sent their latest correspondence to Princess Kate at: "HRH The Princess of Wales Clarence House London SW1A 1BA United Kingdom."

Although Princess Kate, Prince William and their three children live primarily in Windsor, their London base is Kensington Palace. According to other royal fan sites, mail can also be sent to them there by using the address: "Kensington Palace London W8 4PU."

According to the royal family’s website , King Charles is also interested in letters from the public.

"The King is shown almost all of his correspondence on a daily basis by one of his Private Secretaries, and he takes a keen interest in the letters he receives," Royal.UK says of the monarch.

The website says people can write to King Charles via: "His Majesty The King Buckingham Palace London SW1A 1AA, United Kingdom."

King Charles, 75, recently appeared in a video reading some of the thousands of cards and letters that he received after announcing in February that he is undergoing cancer treatment . Among them was a humorous oversized card depicting a dog wearing a veterinary cone with the caption: "King Charles, at least you don’t have to wear a cone!" Another struck a more emotional tone with the message, "The main thing is family."

Etiquette expert Debrett’s gives even more guidance around how to address several members of the royal family in writing. 

"Unless you are personally known to the Sovereign, any letter to The King or Queen should be addressed to ‘The Private Secretary to His Majesty The King.' There is no need to address the private secretary by name, but if there is subsequent correspondence this should be addressed to the actual writer of the reply," according to Debrett's.

The site adds that letters to King Charles and Queen Camilla should begin with "‘Sir,' 'Madam' or ‘May it please Your Majesty’ " opening with the line "With my humble duty" and ending with the language "‘I have the honor to remain, Sir/Madam, Your Majesty’s most humble and obedient servant,’ " with the option to swap "remain" for "be."

Envelopes should be addressed to "His Majesty The King" or "Her Majesty The Queen," and the styling for cards to Princess Kate and Prince William are similar. According to the peerage authority, envelopes containing mail for Prince William should be addressed as "The Prince of Wales, KG, KT," shorthand for his status as a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and Knight of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle . The honors are the highest orders of chivalry in Britain and Scotland, respectively.

Meanwhile, the envelopes of cards for Princess Kate should be addressed to "The Princess of Wales, GCVO," signifying her position as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order . The Royal Victorian Order was established by Queen Victoria in 1896 to allow her to recognize people who helped her or represented her. The ruling monarch personally selects recipients of the honor, and Princess Kate received the rank from Queen Elizabeth in 2019.

Fans from the United States should add an international stamp, available to purchase at post offices, for the mail to make its way across the pond. Then, keep an eye on your mailbox for a reply.

Buckingham Palace opened up about the increase in mail following the death of  Queen Elizabeth in Sept. 2022. Prior to the record-setting monarch's death, the palace received up to 1,000 letters each week from members of the public, but their mailboxes were flooded with 50,000 letters and messages of condolence in the weeks following the Queen's death.

The palace said at the time that all letters are carefully read and responses would be sent as the small correspondence team processes the influx of mail.

During a solo visit to the Shrewsbury Farmers’ Market on March 27, Queen Camilla was showered with messages for Princess Kate after the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis . The Queen, 76, warmly promised to deliver posters that two young girls made for her that read, "Send our love to Kate"

"Her Majesty said: 'I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support,' " royal editor Rebecca English of the Daily Mail wrote on X .
