About San Diego Concerts
San Diego is a regular stop for famous artists on tour through the west coast, and many of San Diego’s neighborhoods have a rich cultural and artistic history. If you’re in town looking for live music, you’ll have quite a few options.
The largest venue in the area, the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre , is located in nearby Chula Vista (about a 25 minute drive on I-205 N). The amphitheater’s location was previously a dairy farm and an industrial park. The Spice Girls performed the first sold-out show at the amphitheater in 1998. The venue shares the area with the Aquatica San Diego Waterpark. About half of the venue’s 20,000 capacity is allotted to general admission/lawn spaces, and actual seats make up the other half. Thanks to San Diego’s warm climate, the venue is open through most of spring, summer, and fall.
If you’d rather stay in town, The Observatory is a popular music spot in San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, known as a trendy area with a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and nightclubs. The Observatory (also called the North Park Theater) accommodates up to 1100 guests and can be scaled down to a 550-capacity configuration for more intimate shows.
The famous House of Blues franchise also operates a location in San Diego. The House of Blues restaurant features live music on most nights of the week.
What concert venues are in San Diego?
If you don’t mind making the drive out, the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre’s size makes it an excellent place to see some of the hottest shows on tour throughout the year. Parking and traffic can be challenging, but you’ll almost always get a good show. The Observatory and House of Blues are great options for a small to mid-size show.

Scroll up to the “All Concerts in San Diego” for listing and tickets for concerts in the San Diego area this weekend.
Tips for attending concerts in San Diego

You’ll save precious time trying to get out. If you have a General Admission/Lawn ticket, you can usually bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. The venue also allows for tailgating before the show.

What concert should I see while I’m in San Diego?

I can't wait to see him live..
I haven't seem Justin in concert since his NSYNC days. I was surprised with tickets to go and see him in Boston Massachusetts. I can't wait as I always was in awe of him. His voice his moves are incredible. I know I'm going to have the time of my life. See you there Justin.❤
Pinch me, I'm dreaming!!
My daughter bought me tickets so I can FINALLY see this man!!! I've been a huge fan for like, 26 yrs, but never saw him live, and it's finally my time! I know it's gonna be amazing, Justin never disappoints! I can finally check this off my bucket list. Now, getting a hug from Justin would be another check, but I can't get too greedy!
IM SO EXCITED…to see you excited 👀
I absolutely love Justin! I’ve been a fan since the first trolls came out and I fell in love with his voice. I saw him for The Man of the woods tour in 2019 in Indiana for my 13th birthday and very first concert. To make it better it was a surprise so it was so surreal for me. I was judged for liking his music but being in an arena full of sweet and caring people made me feel so happy. I can’t wait to see him in Kentucky as a graduation gift! I’m ready JT!!! I love you!!
Happy birthday Justin
I have seen him in concert so many times and really wish he would send me tickets to one night only in nyc on Jan 31st for his birthday🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Elite performer!
An elite performer with high energy and endurance to keep the audience engaged the entire show. I've brought non-fans and skeptics to his shows in the past and boy were they impressed! One of the key elements about his concerts are those VIP packages and the different tiers you can purchase. Those VIP tickets are SO WORTH IT! From his 20/20 to the MOTW tour, I had the best time getting to see JT up close and personal and it was insanely fun! Looking forward to this upcoming tour in 2024!
Best performer alive!
I’ve been waiting all my life for this moment! Can’t wait to see Justin!! I know the visuals are going to be spectacular!!!
🪩Experiencing JT is a dream come true!🪩 His music inspires and his moves are contagious.😷 I simply hope for another chance to see him again with my own special Justin in Raleigh..😁
It's about time!
I am READY! I've been to a show each tour since his *NSYNC days and always ❤️ it! I've been hoping the "teasers"over last few months has gotten my hopes up and I'm looking for to the show ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Always and Forever
I will always and forever love JT! "So if I get jealous, I can't help it I want every bit of you, I guess I'm selfish It's bad for my mental, but I can't fight it, when You're out lookin' like you do, but you can't hide it, noooooooo"
In awe of Justin!
I’m hoping I can finally see JT! It’s been a long dream of mine! I know this show before his tour will be nothing short of amazing!

Can you see San Diego in one day? + -
San Diego is one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in California. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, there’s something for everyone, from stunning beaches, world-class museums and cultural landmarks to a bustling nightlife and a welcoming atmosphere. What are the benefits of owning vs. renting?
Owning a home can help you build equity, offers tax deductions and fixed monthly payments, and gives you a sense of permanence. When you rent, your lease sets the price, your place isn’t really yours, and there are no tax benefits or financial freedom. There are many benefits to owning a home that you can’t get with renting.

Don’t have cable, or access to ESPN? You can watch ESPN with a live TV streaming service such as Fubo, DirecTV, YouTube TV and Sling.
How to watch Dodgers vs. Padres without cable:
DirecTV’s Choice tier will get you ESPN along with more essential channels for the 2024 MLB season, including Fox, FS1, TBS, ABC and MLB Network. Right now, they're offering a month of their Sports Pack add-on (typically $14.99/month) for free when you sign up. DirecTV also includes plenty of local and sports channels. Every DirecTV subscriber, regardless of tier, enjoys access to an unlimited cloud DVR. You can try DirecTV free.
Starting at $80/month, Fubo TV gives you access to ESPN, plus more channels you'll need for the MLB season like Fox, FS1 and ABC. With Fubo's $9.99/month Sports Lite add-on you can also add MLB Network to that list. One downside to Fubo? You won't get games on TBS. Fubo subscribers also get 1000 hours of cloud DVR storage. The platform offers a free trial period, and right now, you can get $20 off your first month.

Much like residents of LA, Padres fans in San Diego won't find their team's next game on ESPN, but they will be able to tune in (for free!) through Padres TV (the team's local RSN). Viewers in San Diego, Tijuana, and the club’s home territory can access the game free by clicking here and creating a username and password to watch on your favorite supported devices. Festivals don't get much fuzzier: Learn about sheep shearing at 123 Farm
Herding dog demos and tractor tours are also on the schedule., by alysia gray painter • published march 25, 2024, what to know.
- Sheep Shearing Festival at 123 Farm in Cherry Valley
- Free entry (with paid parking); April 6 and 7
- Herding dogs, wool dying, and chances to observe the shearing of sheep are part of the learning weekend
KNITTERS AND THEIR PRIZED STASHES... are the stuff of creative legend, but every needles-wielding artisan knows their skeins possess wonderful and woolly origin stories... or yarns, if you will. Going through an overflowing yarn basket with a devoted knitter sharing the background of each ball is an interesting exercise that opens your world to all of the places where quality wool originates. If you've ever wanted to connect with such a place, and observe the ancient act of shearing, you may want to make this special skein, or, scene. It's the Sheep Shearing Festival at 123 Farm in Cherry Valley, a weekend-long gathering of textile mavens, people eager to know more about this agricultural tradition, and anyone who'd like to think more sheeply, er, deeply about the gathering of wool.
THE 2024 DATES... were rescheduled from the final weekend of March to avoid a possible storm. You'll now want to focus on April 6 and 7, and peruse the schedule, which will include sheep shearing sessions led by Legacy Shearing founder Graciano Hernandez, tractor tours, and a fascinating look at worms on the Worm Farm. A look at felted dyes is on the line-up, as is the chance to create macrame keychains. Entry to the festival is free with paid parking — it's $12 — and food will be for sale. The Cherry Valley property is known for its airy and educational festivals, and one of its best-known is right around the colorful corner: The Lavender Festival opens May 3, with a bloom growing even bigger as June and early July arrive.
