Ross Noble announces 53-date UK tour

Jibber Jabber Jamboree kicking off next October

Ross Noble has announced a new 53-date stand-up tour Jibber Jabber Jamboree.

The tour will kick off on October 25 next year and run to March 2024, including a three-night homecoming run at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall and two performances at London’s Palladium.

It will be Noble’s 21 st  solo stand-up tour, and follows his last Humournoid, which wrapped up in February.

The comic – who has performing stand-up since the age of 15 when he was smuggled into his local comedy club – said: "It will be a playful experience for young and old. Imagine watching someone create a magic carpet on an enchanted loom. Oh, hang on… magic carpets fly, that would smash the loom as it took flight. I haven’t thought that through…

‘That’s what people can expect. Razor sharp observations on things I haven’t thought through.’

Noble has been touring his stand-up in Australia, where he spends half the year.

He and his wife Fran have just put their home on the Mornington Peninsula , near Melbourne.  on the market, hoping to get around £2million for the 33-acre plot which also includes a separate cottage, artist studio and stables.

Tickets for Jibber Jabber Jamboree will go on sale on Thursday.

Acclaimed comedy legend Ross Noble is set to return to UK theatres in 2023/2024 with his brand new, 58-date stand-up tour Jibber Jabber Jamboree . Following his enormously successful previous tour of ‘ Humournoid ’, the much-loved British comic will be bringing his inimitable train-of-thought comedy and randomist wit back to UK stages from 23 rd October 2023 – 17 th March 2024 , stopping off for a three-night homecoming run at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall ( 16 th – 18 th November 2023 ) and two performances at London’s Palladium ( 14 th – 15 th March 2024 ).

To celebrate this milestone, Ross invites audiences to join him for an evening of the sort of inspired nonsense that has cemented his place as the supreme master of stream of conscious freewheeling stand up. This is a chance to see Noble live on stage in his natural habitat.

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne and brought up in Cramlington, Northumberland, Ross Noble has been performing stand-up since the age of 15 when he was smuggled into his local comedy club. Since then, he has never looked back. Noble has become known as a truly exciting and genuinely original performer and has received huge critical acclaim across his stand-up tours.

On stage, Ross made his musical theatre debut in a 2015 production of The Producers , before he received an Olivier-award nomination and won the What’s On Stage Award for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Musical’, for his performance as Igor in Mel Brooks’ 2017 West End revival of monster hit musical Young Frankenstein , at London’s Garrick Theatre.

He is a former Time Out Award winner for ‘ Best Live Stand-Up’ and a Barry Award winner in Australia, with a shedload of other prestigious awards and nominations to boot.

As well as his on-stage work, Ross has appeared on numerous UK TV & radio programmes, including Live At The Apollo (BBC One), QI (BBC One), Just A Minute (BBC Radio 4), I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue (BBC Radio 4) and The Infinite Monkey Cage (BBC Radio 4). Ross has made 22 appearances on Have I Got News For You (BBC One).

Ross’s own television credits include Ross Noble: Freewheeling (Dave), Ross Noble: Off Road (Dave) and Ross Noble’s Australian Trip (Channel 5). He has also fronted a number of his own original series for BBC Radio 4, including Britain In Bits , Ross Noble On… and Ross Noble Goes Global.

More recently, Ross has been touring his stand-up in Australia.

On Ross’s YouTube channel, Ross wrote and stars in a series of original comedy shorts entitled The Unnatural History Show with Ross Noble . For our final Live Encounter of our 50th anniversary we have someone very special joining us. We are thrilled to welcome the magnificent Ross Noble to Live Theatre. One of the great comedians of our time and currently touring the UK Ross is taking time out of his schedule to join us for an afternoon of chat and candid questions in our intimate cabaret space. An incredibly rare opportunity to hear from the man himself up close and personal, this won’t be a Saturday afternoon to forget.

Freewheeling Ross Noble plans to dismount from his motorbike and get back on stage for a stand-up tour which will climax in Newcastle next Christmas.

The Cramlington comic has announced that his Brain Dump tour of the UK will start in September 2016 and finish up at the City Hall for four nights of laughter and madness – December 14-17.

He will tour the show around Australia before heading for the northern hemisphere.

Noble, who cut his teeth as a performer at the People’s Theatre in Newcastle , has become one of stand-up’s most distinctive performers.

He has been called many things, including “the king of improvisational comedy”, “a true master of surreal tangents” and “everybody’s favourite randomist”.

Critics have variously warmed to his “whimsy and wackiness” and his “extemporising schtick”.

What it amounts to is that Mr Noble can make up funny stuff on the spot and have a whole audience in the palm of his hand.

His TV travelogue, Ross Noble: Freewheeling, entertained an audience of 3.7m on the Dave channel but now he is getting back to his first love.

Making it seem like the cure for a strange complaint, the promoters say: “As always Ross has lots of stuff backing up in his head and it’s time to let it all out.”

Amazingly, Ross started in comedy 25 years ago – but he’s not as old as that suggests. He was only 15 when he first performed in public.

He has since undertaken 14 sell-out tours and released nine DVDs.

In a Channel 4 poll, he was ranked number nine in The 100 Greatest Stand-Ups.

Tickets for the Newcastle performances, plus a date at the Sands Centre, Carlisle, on September 29, are on sale via Ticketmaster
