Mega millions jackpot reaches $875m after nobody wins grand prize.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

The  Mega Millions jackpot  now sits at an estimated $875 million after no tickets matched the winning numbers during Friday’s drawing.

The winning numbers drawn Friday night were 13, 25, 50, 51 and 66 with a Mega ball of 6. The Megaplier was 5X.

Nobody won the $792 million grand prize Friday night, but one player in New York matched all five white balls to win the game’s second-tier prize of $1 million.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on Tuesday when players hope to win the $875 million grand prize, which carries a cash option of $413.5 million.

Winners typically select the cash prize over the Mega Millions annuity paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.

The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the game.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held on Tuesday when players hope to win the $875 million grand prize

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on Dec. 8, when two winners in California matched all six numbers to take home the $395 million prize.

The record $1.602 billion jackpot was won in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023 .

That prize is the world’s largest lottery ever won on a single ticket.

The current $875 million jackpot is the sixth-largest prize ever offered by the game.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The deadline for purchasing a ticket is 9:45 p.m. on draw nights.

Woman stand next to a bus that's stuck on the road

Updated at 12:11 p.m.: The bus started moving about noon Thursday, roughly 20 hours after it left Vail. The women reported they were looking forward to coffee.

A massive snowstorm that buried Colorado and shut down Interstate 70 stranded travelers overnight, including a ski bus filled with 50 women who were out of water and food after being stuck 16 hours and counting.

“We’re in good spirits,” Mary Wagner, one of the skiers on the bus, told The Colorado Sun on Thursday morning. “But we’re done now.”

For years, the women, many retired or moms with kids in school, have taken the ski bus on Wednesdays. This week, they spent the day at Vail, then got back on the bus at 3:30 p.m. for the ride home. Within 10 minutes, as the snow started to fall, they were stopped on Vail Pass because of a stalled car. When they were able to move again, the uphill climb overheated the transmission on the bus, so they waited for a tow truck that got them to a pullout 3 miles up the road.

The charter bus recovered, so they crawled along, past more accidents and through the Eisenhower Tunnel. They had to switch drivers in Idaho Springs because, by this point, about 11:30 p.m., the original had reached her time limit of hours in the driver’s seat.

Then at midnight, when they were just east of Idaho Springs, I-70 stopped moving.

Thursday morning, the bus — operated by Arrow Stage Lines and called the “Thera-Ski Bus,” as in “skiing is therapy” — had not moved from its spot near mile marker 242 since midnight.

“We’re at 16 hours and we have no indication of movement or leaving,” said Wagner, a Cherry Hills Village resident who has been riding the ski bus for years. “The toilet is full and we’re almost out of water.”

Women on the bus sent a sort of SOS at 5:53 a.m. Thursday, an email to everyone signed up for information about the weekly adventure. “Thera-ski bus need help!” it said. “We are all in decent health and no medical emergencies but we really want to get home.” The email asked people to send messages to Gov. Jared Polis and call the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The bus was one of “a couple hundred vehicles” stuck on I-70 on Thursday, including semitrucks that were not using chains on their tires despite Colorado’s chain law. “It makes it almost impossible for our crews to plow the highways,” said Stacia Sellers, a spokesperson for the agency.

Prepared with snacks for the last ride of the season

It was the last Wednesday bus ride of the season, so the women wore silly T-shirts that looked like bikinis over their ski clothes. Like usual, there were homemade treats, beer and wine for the drive home. Wagner had packed a sandwich for lunch but then ended up buying food on the mountain, so she ate it along with an apple and a cheese stick for dinner.

One woman on the bus tweaked her knee on the slopes and was in pain, but the situation wasn’t dire, Wagner said. A few of the women had a double seat to themselves to curl up for the night, but most had to sleep upright. The bus heater kept them warm, at least. And they weren’t worried about running out of gas — yet.

The toilet, however, reached its max, so anyone who had to go would have to go outside.

A group photo of a bunch of skiers on a mountain

Wednesday night, there were brownies and cookies, and a few women sipped wine. Wagner drank the beer she packed for the trip home, which usually lasts no later than 6:30 p.m.

“We pass treats and food and stories and jokes. It’s a lovely group of women. But we’re not usually on the bus this long,” she said, chuckling.

By 8:30 a.m. Thursday, the granola bars and bananas that were tucked in their backpacks were mostly gone. The women were melting snow to drink and there was general frustration about why the road hadn’t been cleared.

“We have yet to see a snowplow,” Wagner said. “We’ve seen lots of tow trucks. We feel abandoned.”

Still, there was laughing in the background of Wagner’s phone call.

That is until Wagner speculated that they might sit there for another four or five hours. “Everyone is trying to make the best of it,” she said.

Early Thursday afternoon Sellers said CDOT was towing the semitrucks off the interstate, which takes about 30 minutes per trailer. The state agency had deployed about 100 plows in the Denver metro area and 38 more along the I-70 corridor in the mountains from Morrison to the Eisenhower Tunnel that are “plowing around the clock,” Sellers said.

Women’s ski bus rescued from a snowy I-70 after 22 hours

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A women’s ski bus from the Denver area was stuck on Interstate 70 in the snow for a total of 22 hours.

The women were trying to make it back to Denver, but they were running out of supplies. At about 1:30 p.m., the bus finally started moving again on I-70, and as of 4:20 p.m., the group had made it home.

The Thera-ski group has 10 ski trips each season and prioritizes having fun while socializing and exercising. There are about 50 women on the bus.

Wednesday’s trip was their last one of the season.

They usually leave Vail at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and get back to Denver at around 6:30 p.m.

However, on the way home this time, they faced multiple crashes. Then, the bus’s transmission overheated, it had to get towed. On top of that, their driver reached the maximum amount of allowed hours, so, they had to switch drivers in Idaho Springs around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

When FOX31 spoke to the group on Thursday at around 6:30 a.m., the women were still stuck on the bus.

“We basically have no water or food left, and we’re almost out of toilet paper,” said one of the passengers, Bette Davis. “Fortunately, we do have facilities on the bus, but there are other cars in the same situation. We’re just gridlocked. I mean not gridlock, but we’re at a standstill.”

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, plows haven’t been able to get through because of the backup traffic. The women are frustrated at what they call a lack of planning on CDOT’s part.

CDOT said options for pre-treatment were limited because the rain before the snow would wash away any sand or salt.

Now, CDOT said their priority is to get the stuck semis off the road before they can plow and get people home safely.

The women on the bus are worried because there are other cars with small children. The group has resorted to filling up their water bottles with snow along the highway.

CDOT said there was no estimated time of when it could reopen.

Moscow Oblast is the economic and political heart of Russia and is by far its most populous oblast—excluding the city of Moscow itself, the region has approximately seven million residents. Destinations in the region are easily accessible by day trips from Moscow and have an extraordinary amount of sightseeing for the interested traveller.

On 1 July 2012, a significant chunk of the Moscow region, including the towns of Troitsk and Moskovsky , Kievskyi settlement and stretching out all the way to Kaluga region was re-designated as part of Moscow itself. While this has not affected the character of the territory immediately, they will inevitably be integrated more and more into the city, thus making this area a unique tourist destination to see still (almost) rural places right before they urbanize.

Moscow Oblast is in the UTC+3 time zone.

Talk [ edit ]

Within Moscow Oblast , more English and other European languages are spoken than in most of Russia, but travelers should still consider familiarizing themselves with some key Russian phrases.

Moscow Oblast lacks any signs using the Roman (as opposed to Cyrillic) alphabet, except the signs on some major highways. Even there, expect to find differing titles of the same place. For instance, while driving you can see signs displaying "Moscow", "Moskow" and "Moskva" within a short distance.

Get in [ edit ]

last trip bus 975

In most cases travelling to the Moscow Oblast is done via the transport hub of the city of Moscow .

By plane [ edit ]

The airports of Moscow with international flights are located either inside Moscow Oblast or in the outer parts of Moscow proper and have direct bus or commuter train ( elektrichka ) connections with the cities of Podmoskovie , as following:

  • From 55.408611 37.906111 1 Domodedovo airport - elektrichka to Moscow goes through the cities of Domodedovo and Vidnoe (Aeroexpress trains proceed directly to Moscow without any stops).
  • From 55.972778 37.414722 2 Sheremetyevo airport - bus 21 or 48 to the town of Lobnya , bus 38 to the city of Dolgoprudny , bus 41 or 43 to the city of Khimki .

If you want to get to any other part of Podmoskovie from the airports - hire a taxi or proceed through Moscow .

By train [ edit ]

There are three kinds of local commuter trains operating from Moscow to Moscow Oblast and neighbouring regions:

  • Elektrichka (ordinary trains). Be aware of 2 hours break after morning rush hour on weekdays for all local trains except bound to Pushkino from Yaroslavskiy train station.
  • Express trains (several a day in all major directions from Moscow to the further lying cities in the region ( Mozhaysk , Zvenigorod , Istra , Volokolamsk , Klin , Dmitrov , Dubna , Sergiev Posad , Monino , Noginsk , Orehovo-Zuevo , Kurovskoe , Kolomna , Kashira , Chekhov , Serpukhov and Naro-Fominsk to name major of them) and sometimes neighboring cities outside the region. Expresses run only during rush hours, typically 1 to each destination each morning and evening.)
  • Sputnik trains - as fast and comfortable as express ones but connecting Moscow with its largest satellite suburbs: Mytischi , Korolyov , Pushkino , Zheleznodorozhny , Lubertsy , Ramenskoe . Those usually run each hour or two, with possible breaks off-rush hour

Both express and sputnik trains are further divided by brands. The major brands are following:

  • Original Sputnik trains. Those were first expresses in Moscow Oblast and hence have given colloquial name to all short-ranged expresses. Typically but not always served by 6- or 8-wagon trains of yellowish color with 6 doors each.
  • Aeroexpresses serve airports and typically don't stop in Moscow Oblast. They are also more expensive.
  • Various named expresses serving long-range destinations like Fedor Chizhov to Alexandrov . Some expresses may continue quite further beyond Podmoskovie (to Tver and Yaroslavl for example) and still serve cities of Moscow Oblast.
  • "Expresses REX" are one of more common types of the above, with typical blue coloring and picture of a dog. They serve both short-range and long-range destinations.
  • Latest appearing brand are "Lastochkas", using red-colored trains, produced by Siemens AG. They now serve Khimki , Solnechnogorsk , Mozhaysk, Orehovo-Zuevo, Klin and Serpukhov, with trains bound to Zelenograd , Tver , Nizhny Novgorod , Smolensk , Oryol and Kursk .

Multiple types of expresses may be confusing, especially as brand, serving particular destination, may change with time. While not typical, train, using specific brand coloring, may serve destination of other brand, or - for older types - even run as a simple elektrichka . You may need to check particular type of train using timetables or asking locals in such situations.

When you're trying to buy a ticket, both from ticket office and from vending machine, you usually should know exactly, which kind of express you're boarding, especially with Lastochkas. Ask for help or opt for ticket office when unsure. Pricing and discounts are different for different types of expresses.

Although your destination will be within Moscow Oblast, if the express is bound outside Moscow Oblast, you will need to provide your passport to buy a ticket (this rule is enforced in Russia everywhere). Tickets for expresses bound outside Moscow Oblast are also unavailable from vending machines for local trains (which do not require your passport).

Long-distance trains in most cases have no stops in Podmoskovie . The only large stop for long-distance trains in the region is Ozherelye for south-bound trains from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg . Volokolamsk and Mozhaisk may have 1 or 2 trains in each direction daily.

How many airports are there in Moscow, what are they called?

2024 Author : Harold Hamphrey | [email protected] . Last modified: 2023-12-17 10:06

Moscow is one of the megacities of the world. Every day a lot of people come to the capital of Russia. So how many airports are there in Moscow? The three main terminals are in the greatest demand: Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo. But there are also less popular ones.

How many airports are there in Moscow? A lot of them. Some relate directly to the capital, while others - to the Moscow region. One of the largest airports even at the level of Europe is Sheremetyevo. It is located just 29.7 km from the center of the capital. The nearest settlements are Lobnya and Khimki.

how many airports are there in moscow

Sheremetyevo Airport is one of the main airports in the country and consists of six terminals for passengers:

  • A - for businessmen;
  • B - a very old dismantled terminal, a new one is being built in its place;
  • C - being reconstructed, plans are to connect it with B to create a single complex;
  • D - designed for domestic and international flights;
  • E - carries out flights of companies included in SkyTearm and all flights in Aeroflot;
  • F - intended for the companyRoyal Flight.

The last three terminals in the list make up the ETK. This is a single complex with the Aeroexpress station. This is very convenient for passengers, as they get the opportunity to move freely around all three terminals. Sheremetyevo Airport is not divided into "1" and "2", as there is an erroneous opinion. This is a single complex that simply combines two airport terminals.

How many Domodedovo airports are there in Moscow? To date, he is the only one. Moreover, takeoffs and landings can be carried out simultaneously only in Domodedovo. The airport is located 22 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road and 45 kilometers from Moscow. Domodedovo has two long, parallel runways.

how many domodedovo airports are in moscow

The airport has a special check-in system - by islands. There are seven of them in the terminal. Four of them have 22 sections, three - 20 each and 4 more for luggage. Domodedovo has the only passenger terminal.

How many Vnukovo airports are there in Moscow? It is also one of the largest airport terminals, and the oldest of all currently operating. Vnukovo is located 10 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road. The airport is a complex of three terminals, which are called "1", "2" and "3".

Vnukovo-1 consists of three terminals: A, B and D. The last two are connected by a footpath. The first terminal serves international and domestic flights. Terminal B has not been operating since 2016, and all flights that were carried out through it have been transferred to A. Terminal D is intended onlyfor screening passengers of some Russian regions.

How many Vnukovo airports are in Moscow

Vnukovo-2 is used only for flights of the President, the top leadership of Russia and high-ranking foreign representatives. Vnukovo-3 receives and departs flights from the Moscow government, businessmen and Roskosmos aviation.

Let's take a closer look at how many airports there are in Moscow and their names. In addition to the three main ones listed above, there are less well-known ones. For example, Zhukovsky, located at the Ramenskoye airfield. Therefore, the airport received a double name. Zhukovsky-Ramenskoye is located 36 kilometers from the capital of Russia. The airport is used for certain passenger flights, including flights of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The airport terminal has one terminal.

How many airports are there in Moscow? Another fairly well-known one is Bykovo. It is located near the city of Zhukovsky. The airfield does not carry out passenger flights, but is used for landing helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Ostafyevo was built in 1934. It is located near South Butovo. The airfield was intended for the NKVD. In Soviet times, it was used by the military. Since 2000, after reconstruction, it has become civil and now accepts passenger flights. The airfield has one terminal.

how many airports are there in moscow and their names

How many airports are there in Moscow? One of them is Chkalovsky, built in 1930. It is located 31 kilometers from Moscow, near the city of Shchelkovo. The airfield accepts An-124, Tu-154 andIL-62. Chkalovsky is intended for the military. At the moment, the airport serves a special purpose division.

Myachkovo is located in the Ramensky district. The airport is located 16 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road and 1 km from the village of Upper Myachkovo. The airfield was civilian until 2009. Then acquired the status of sports. It is now used as a landing area for small government aircraft and helicopters. There are two flying clubs on the territory of Myachkovo. They carry out aircraft maintenance and refueling. A medical examination of pilots is also carried out at the airport.

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to send my I-129F form off tomorrow (and I'll readily admit I'm nervous). My question is about how best to include photos that provide evidence of being together. I'm including 10 photos of my fiance and me together over the past 9 months. As of right now, I have all my photos in an envelop, clipped to a paper that explains they are photos that provide proof of my fiance and I being together in the past 2 years. On the back of each photo I've written:

  • the date/month/year the photo was taken (on several I couldn't recall the date, so I just wrote the month/year)
  • the place where the photo was taken (restaurant, opera house, hotel, etc.)
  • the city and country where the photo was taken

Is this good enough? Would it be better if I color copied the photos onto a 8x10 piece of paper and labeled the paper instead?

I'd love to know what some of you did.

I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for the person going through my paperwork. I figure the faster someone can ge through my application, the faster my fiance gets his visa (maybe).

Thanks for the help!

We included a lot of pictures of different trips I took to see my faincee in Spain, (Not sure you need that many) but we included at least some from each trip. In the back of the picture we put the same exact thing you did , Thats it , we did not attach any additional papers to the pics. Just make sure you include the cover letter and follow everything else you need to include as the advice here that is what we did.... Let me know any other questions you may have Good Luck!

Thank you! I have 1 or 2 from each of our trips together.

I have just begun the process, and just received my email saying they were sending my case to the CSC today, so I don't know how well they were received, but when I did mine, I had boarding passes and itineraries of each time we met, and I included at least one photo of us together from each of these time frames with date and place written on the back. I guess I'll know if I get an RFE whether this is sufficient or not. Keeping my fingers crossed this whole time will be difficult Good Luck

Thanks. I've included boarding passes, itineraries, baggage tickets, and passport stamps from our trips, as well as receipts from his trips to visit me. (When I'm with him he pays for everything, so I don't have receipts from my trips to Norway, unfortunately.)

Did you organize by trip or by document type? In other words, did you include pictures of you together from trip #1 with boarding passes/itineraries from trip #1? Or did you keep all of your pictures together, separate from the travel documents?

We printed all our pictures into a collage on two 8x10 photo paper. We went to CVS (Walgreens & Wal-mart both have this service too)and the attendant at photo center inserted my thumb drive, selected all the pictures I wanted on the screen and made them into two 8x10 collage. After they were printed, I then wrote by hand the names, dates & places at the back. The advantage of this is that it fits in or slides in perfectly with all your other papers.

Good luck to you on your journey!

Maybe too late to this party....but...

Way back when, all our photos were from a digital camera (whose aren't?).

I had prints made at the local Walmart.

I inserted the same photos into a Word document, about four per page, and typed in a short description for each. Then onto a blank sheet, I affixed the same real photos from the Walmart Photo lab into plastic bags, with labels affixes to the backs with the same info, names, dates, etc, as was written on the first page. I placed these photos into a baggie and wrote the basic info on the back of each photo, name/date.

Yeah, doesn't need to be fancy printed pictures. We did that, though. Put 4 per normal sized page. That left a space underneath each picture where handwritten names/dates+year/locations could be added(if not on the back of the pictures. I was assuming it would be faster and easier on the eyes that would look at the petition.

I liked to keep the same format for everything submitted. Passport pictures were put in a tiny bag stapled to a standard-sized paper as well, and on upper corner simply put what proof/accessories/treasures the page contained for the UScis humans.

All of our photos were digital, so I arranged them 4-5 to a page in a Word document, which allowed me to include captions/headings.

I organized the evidence from our in-person meetings into a section called "Evidence of in-person meeting within 2 years" and then grouped all of the documentation from each trip into its own section, starting with the page(s) of photos printed on cardstock (heading: "Trip 1: <dates>", with captions on each photo listing the location, date, and people pictured). After the photo pages, I included the itinerary, boarding passes, and any receipts/bus tickets/bank statements/other transactions for that trip.

I had another separate section called "Evidence of ongoing relationship" with the phone records, emails, video chat screenshots, letters/cards, affidavits from friends, etc. but this was for a difficult embassy necessitating front-loading.

If you're asking for the actual process, I took from 20-30 digital pics

and used photoshop to display them on 8-1/2 x 11" sheets of plain paper

which I used the color printer at the office to run off. I had around 6-8 pics

per page, depending on how I cropped & arranged them on the page.

I'm sure some people might go to Walgreens or CVS and order a lot of

prints too - that will work as well. If I did that I would include them in a

separate envelope inside the folder of documents, with both of your names.

Thank you! I have 1 or 2 from each of our trips together. Thanks. I've included boarding passes, itineraries, baggage tickets, and passport stamps from our trips, as well as receipts from his trips to visit me. (When I'm with him he pays for everything, so I don't have receipts from my trips to Norway, unfortunately.) Did you organize by trip or by document type? In other words, did you include pictures of you together from trip #1 with boarding passes/itineraries from trip #1? Or did you keep all of your pictures together, separate from the travel documents?

I am not the most ummmm well I'm not really a good organizer. I did the best I could, but I'm not a great example. I just basically made three envelopes, one with the forms filled out and signed, one with all our documentation (boarding passes etc.) and one with pictures (including the passport style) In each envelope I put an index sheet explaining what was in each. I used binder clips to bind the three envelopes and outside those envelopes I made a detail sheet with what was in each numbered envelope so the processor could go to whichever envelope for whatever they were looking for. I then put them all together into a larger envelope and mailed them in. So, the pictures aren't in the same envelope as the documentation, but there is a picture of us together corresponding to each documented trip and this is listed in the indexes.

I'm still very early in the process (I put them in the mail a week ago today) but I did get notification that my file was accepted and sent to the California center for Processing. Hopefully no RFE 's will be required, but if they are I'll post that in these forums as well.

Best of Luck to you

  • If you're planning to cruise along the picturesque coastlines of the Mediterranean countries, a convertible might be your best bet. However, if a scenic drive through the mountains of Switzerland or Austria is on the cards, opt for a vehicle with a robust engine and good grip. Don't forget, in some historic city centres, larger vehicles might struggle with narrow lanes − a compact car would be ideal here. Consider the season too, winter tyres are a must in snowy regions.
  • To travel to other countries, agencies often charge cross-border fees, which vary depending on the countries involved. For instance, if you're picking up a car in France and fancy a German jaunt, inform your agency to include a green card − proof of insurance accepted in Germany, Italy and several other countries. Also, ensure you've got the VE103 form, which shows you can take the car abroad. Remember, some Eastern European countries might be off-limits; always check with the agency first to avoid disappointment.
  • Flying into Frankfurt Airport (FRA) gives you a head-start on a multi-country European road trip; it's a central hub with excellent motorway connections to nearby countries. If you're eyeing Southern Europe, Barcelona Airport (BCN) is a great choice; it's a stone's throw away from the French border and Spain's Costa Brava. For Eastern European adventures, consider Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) − it's a gateway to Poland, Lithuania and Belarus.
  • If you're headed to Norway, be prepared to encounter the world's longest road tunnel, the Laerdal Tunnel, which stretches roughly 24.5 km (15 miles). In Italy, beware of the "ZTL" zones, where access is restricted to prevent congestion and pollution. Similarly, Germany has "Umweltzone" areas to limit vehicle emissions. Furthermore, in Spain, always carry a spare pair of glasses in the car if you're a spectacle wearer; it's a legal requirement aimed at ensuring road safety.
