· Bring your ID. You may not be carded, but bouncers are very strict in Jakarta clubs. Bring your ID just in case this situation comes up.

· With Covid-19 regulations, there may be some different rules. Call or visit the club’s website to know their most up to date rules.

· Keep your belongings near you. Just like any nightclub in a big city, there will be a few bad apples trying to pickpocket.

Jakarta is a diverse city with an even more diverse nightlife. From EDM super clubs to more laid-back RnB nightclubs, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There are plenty of nightclubs in Jakarta, but this list provides the best in the city. Hopefully there is a nightclub on this list that fits your music taste and vibes. Experience Jakarta’s nightlife and bars to the fullest at any of the incredible nightclubs on this list. You will definitely make many unforgettable memories!

Raffles, Whitehall, London

For a truly memorable visit to London, you can stay in the former office of Winston Churchill, Lawrence of Arabia and the infamous John Profumo. The Old War Office was where Richard Haldane, Britain’s first secretary of war, was a key player in the founding of MI5 and MI6 in 1909. Tread the same hallways as Ian Fleming when he worked in intelligence during WWII and the spies (both men and women) who inspired his famous character James “007” Bond. The building has been used in various Bond films, as the MI6 headquarters in Octopussy (1983), A View to a Kill (1985), Licence to Kill (1989), Skyfall (2002) and Spectre (2015).

Granville suite bedroom at Raffles London

After eight years and a painstaking $1.4 billion renovation, using only British materials except Italian marble, this famous building has reopened as Raffles London at The Old War Office (OWO). Guests are greeted with opulence and grandeur from the moment they enter, with high ceilings, oak-panelled walls and a stunning grand staircase with a huge glass chandelier and original Edwardian clock. It is the first property in the UK for the legendary Raffles Hotels & Resorts. Founded in Singapore in 1887, Raffles Hotels can be found around the world in cities including Paris, Istanbul, Warsaw, Bali, Manila, Jakarta and Boston.

Changing of the Horse Guard at Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall in London.

The London hotel in the imposing Baroque style, Grade II* listed building, built in 1906 on Whitehall, is in a prime location for sightseeing, across the road from the changing of the Guard and just around the corner from Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Designed by Scottish father and son architects, William and Clyde Young, the War Office was built on the site of the Palace of Whitehall, home for centuries to English monarchs, including King Henry VIII. When it opened in 1906, the OWO housed over 1,000 offices and two-and-a-half miles of corridors that some staff used bicycles to traverse.

Guerlaine atelier at Raffles, London

Today, Raffles features 120 spacious guest rooms and suites, nine restaurants, including two from chef Mauro Colagreco (of three-Michelin starred Mirazur in Menton), three excellent bars, including an invitation-only basement speakeasy in a space once used for top secret MI5 and MI6 documents, and an extensive spa in partnership with Guerlain and Pillar Wellbeing.

Accommodation

Raffles London, Haldane suite

The palatial public spaces, guest rooms and suites are by famed designer, the late Thierry Despont , who restored many other landmark heritage projects like the Statue of Liberty, the Woolworth Building and the Ritz Paris. The Heritage Suites at Raffles were former offices of influential political and military leaders. The Haldane suite, the office of secretaries of war, Winston Churchill, John Profumo and Sir Richard Haldane, can be combined to create a six-bedroom, 500 square meter suite. Known as The Whitehall Wing, this can accommodate up to twelve guests, one of the largest luxury hotel wings available in London.

Churchill Suite Bedroom, Raffles, London

Eight corner suites are named after notable women and female spies connected with the history of The OWO. Situated in the rounded pavilion corners of the building these honor influential women such as Viscountess Astor, the first female MP and Clementine Churchill, as well as WWII operatives such as Christine Granville and Vera May Atkins, and the Nearne sisters.

Eat & Drink

Raffles London, Mauro Colegreco

In keeping with his passion for sustainability, Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London is committed to sourcing local, seasonal ingredients. Dishes highlight the rich diversity of native British vegetables, delivered through a series of tasting menus. Next door, Mauro’s Table is an intimate space featuring an impressive dining table for up to 23 guests. His third restaurant, Saison, in the former historic library of the Old War Office, is more relaxed but the food is equally superb, serving locally sourced cuisine (the London Burrata with blood orange, basil, pistachio is outstanding, as is the Cornish Red Chicken) throughout the day including breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Café Lapérouse in the courtyard celebrates French serves classic French dishes. Paper Moon, a Milanese favorite since 1977, has opened its first UK restaurant at The OWO. Japanese restaurant, Kioku by Endo from renowned chef Endo Kazutoshi will open later this spring.

Guards Bar, Raffles London

The Guards Bar and Lounge highlights The OWO’s long association and historic connections with the Household Cavalry across the road. The drinks menu has a focus on British ingredients intertwined with flavors from the East, including its own signature “London Sling.” You can also enjoy drinks in The Drawing Room, a relaxed all-day lounge overlooking Horse Guards, and Pillar Kitchen, a well-being-focused cafe.

Pool, spa at Raffles, London

Wellness is clearly important here with a beautiful, vast Guerlain Spa spanning 2,500 square meters, over four floors. Designed by Goddard Littlefair , the spa space offers an impressive range of facilities and services including a gym and movement studio, a 20 meter swimming pool, comfortable loungers, a vitality pool, and steam and sauna rooms. Nine attractive treatment suites offer massages and more and L’Atelier Guerlain, a private beauty and hair treatment space is on the main floor. Pillar Wellbeing , founded by elite performance coach Harry Jameson, offers members and guests personalised, innovative training and nutrition.
