Title: A Quacking Good Time on Boston's Waters! Review: I recently had the pleasure of embarking on the Ducky Tour of Boston, starting from the Aquarium, and it was nothing short of a delightful experience! The tour provided a brilliant blend of entertainment and education that captivated us from start to finish. The knowledgeable guide had a knack for storytelling, making the rich history of Boston come alive as we cruised both land and water. The tales of the city's past were not only informative but were delivered with a dash of humor that kept us all engaged and chuckling. The transition from land to water was seamless and added a thrilling twist to our exploration. The scenery from the Charles River was breathtaking, offering a unique vantage point of the city's skyline and historical landmarks. The charm of the old city juxtaposed with modern day Boston was evident and beautifully showcased during our aquatic adventure. The Ducky vehicle itself was comfortable and provided a safe and enjoyable ride. It was apparent that the safety of the passengers was a priority, which is always reassuring. I was particularly impressed with how the tour managed to cater to individuals of all ages. My companions and I left with not only a deeper appreciation for the city's historical significance but also memories filled with laughter and discovery. Whether you're a history buff, a fan of unique city tours, or simply in for a good laugh, the Ducky Tour of Boston is a must-do! So the next time you find yourself in Beantown, make sure to quack your way around with this entertaining and enlightening tour. Rating: 5 stars

The tour starts on land then it goes into the river then comes back to land. The tour host was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions people were throwing at him. He kept the tour upbeat and fun, it was far from boring, I would recommend a Duck Tour when visiting Boston

One of the best tours in Boston! Reserve tickets online thru their site. The team here is so nice we requested a change of time for our tour due to traffic in the fwy and they easily moved us to the next one. The tour guide is entertaining, funny & knowledgeable of Boston history. This location is great, it's near Quincy Market and a 10mins walk to Little Italy as well. Definitely try this out when visiting Bean Town!

I love the duck tour. We were able to get our family of 6 on for just under $200. We bought our tickets at the science museum and left for that location for the tour. The kids loved the water and seeing the landmarks. They each got an opportunity to drive the boat in the water which was a highlight for them. I also enjoyed not walking half of the freedom trail to be honest, this was a great snip it of the walk and the sites to see. The tour has very little traffic at 10am and I would plan ahead for your day if you don't want to get stuck on the bus during high volume traffic times. I highly suggest this as one of your "Boston tourist" things to do. We moved to SoCal in 2012. I haven't been on one in many years and I enjoyed it as much as I had when I was young.

A classic. Good for kids and adults. Beautiful views of the city in ways you might not otherwise see. Some of the education depends on your host. First one was hilarious and educational, second less so (we've been during spring break 2 years in a row!)

The worst experience I've ever had we came for 11am tour purchased tickets online NO ONE told use that we had to reserve a seat so we had to wait 2 hours for the next bus just to get rained on no one that works there seem to know the process of seating and reseving they just kept sending us back and forth

I've never been on a land and sea tour before, and it was such a fun experience! Reservations are the way to go, although there were seats available the day of in the morning. There are three locations to meet from, and we selected the Science Museum with their on-site parking garage. Our tour guide, who I shall remember as Duck Tracey, was very informative and could easily be heard while zipping through the streets and water way of Boston. This is an impressive feat because not only is the city loud, the vehicle itself is loud and bouncy. The duck boats take turns on the water portion, so there were slight delays negotiating around one another on the narrow roads, but other then that the tour was quick paced. I would definitely go again, and would love to go on Duck tours in other cities!

We have been to Boston a number of times but we never stopped to try the Duck Boats. It was the best part of our weekend. Flo Waters was out guide. She had tons of personality and made the history part of the trip fun and entertaining. Great views of the city and a cool experience when the boat goes from the road to the river. Highly recommend if you want to have some fun, see some sights and learn about the history of Boston.

Parking Help Around Museum Of Science

We are coming into Boston from the cape for a day and plan on doing the Duck Tour first. We have to get our tickets at the Museum so is there anywhere to park for the day in that area? We plan on getting trolley tickets for the rest of the day and want to leave car in one spot. Also is there a trolley place near the museum? Thank you

Museum of Science and the nearby Galleria Mall have paid parking…

The only parking in tha area is the Museum of Science Garage. Perhaps the Duck Tours offer some kind of discount for their riders. By the way, are you driving from Michigan? If not, then don’t rent a car . You won’t need it and parking will be quite costly – like today.

The trolley tours generally begin by the Aquarium, but some may make stops near there. However, you’re going to find the land portion of the Duck Tour to be redundant with much of the trolley route. You sure you want to do both? Most people choose one or the other.

The only reason we are thinking about doing both is we bought the go boston cards and they are both included. The trolley is really only going to be a means to get to other things we want to do. We really want to do the Duck tour, Aquarium, Fenway tour and visit Sam Adams Brewery. We will have two small kids with us so if time the Swan boats too. Is parking at the science museum really expensive? Thanks for your replies

That’s a lot of stuff to cram into one day including getting to/from the Cape. How small are the kids?

On weekends book ahead if you have a certain time that you want to go. If you combine the tour with the Museum of Science, you can get a discount to the Museum. I think you need to get your boat tickets first and you can get these right inside the museum. The tours also go out from the Aquarium and is a little bit shorter ride. The “road” part is a terrific informational tour of Boston and then the duck boat goes in the water for a shorter tour of the city. We were on Bertha and had “The Doctor” for our tour guide. He was funny and very informative. The younger kids get to drive the boat while in the water. This was our third time on the tour, each time with a different guide and boat and they have all been excellent.

If so, make an online reservation for the 9 or 9:30 a.m. tours from either the Museum of Science or Prudential stops and get an Early Duck discount. It’s also worth noting that only a portion of tickets are released online, so it’s still worth checking one of the ticket booths if tickets for the date you want to go are sold out online.

There’s also the Ride & Save program for those also planning to visit the Museum of Science and New England Aquarium: Show your Duck Boats ticket and get discounts off the museums’ admission, café, gift shop, and theaters. You can also get a free tour of Harvard Square with your Duck Boats ticket, plus numerous discounts at the Prudential Center and other Boston restaurants and gift shops. So save that ticket stub and put it to work you can save quite a lot!
