Already Applied?

You will receive an email confirmation from the University once your application is received. This can take up to 3-4 days from the time you submit your application. Once we process your application you will receive an email from Syracuse University with a temporary PIN and link to access your Syracuse University Applicant Portal. You will be able to check your application status via your portal. If you have not received confirmation after two weeks, you are welcome to email [email protected] to have someone in the office check for you. Please note: Syracuse University will begin uploading applications from the Common Application and Scoir in early September. If you submit your application prior to Sept. 1, it may be a few weeks before you receive confirmation.

Prospective students have three  enrollment options to choose from. After deciding on an enrollment plan, it is important to review  application deadlines because they differ depending on your program and enrollment option of choice.

• Fee Waiver: We strive to support all students and families who wish to apply to Syracuse University. If you present a financial hardship and are interested in a fee waiver, please have your school counselor request an application fee waiver. This request must come in writing on school letterhead and may be submitted as a PDF to [email protected]. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
• Optional First Semester Abroad: Applicants to the College of Arts and Sciences have the option of applying for Discovery Programs that allow students to spend the fall semester of their freshman year in Florence, Madrid or Strasbourg. Applicants to the College of Engineering and Computer Science have the option of spending the fall semester of their freshman year in Madrid. If you wish to apply for a Discovery Program, select "Yes" in the drop-down menu on the application. An additional Discovery Program application supplement is required and will be sent to you via email after you submit your application.

5. Send your standardized test scores to Syracuse University

SAT/ACT scores are not required for students applying for Fall/Spring 2024 or Spring 2025 admission. Students who choose not to submit test scores will not be disadvantaged and will remain eligible for merit scholarships.

Students who choose to submit SAT or ACT scores may share either self-reported or official scores. Students who self-report their scores will not be required to submit official score reports unless they are admitted and choose to enroll.

To self-report your test scores, you may do so via the Common Application or Coalition Application. Please submit your scores exactly as you receive them and we will superscore them.

• Talent Preparation Virtual Sessions This session will take a deeper dive into how to prepare for an audition or portfolio. We will also share tips on how to prepare for your audition and portfolio submission.
• Department Virtual Sessions These sessions will focus specifically on one area of VPA.  You will have a chance to meet faculty, hear about the majors, and ask any questions.

SYRACUSE, NY – March 22, 2024 - In a rematch of the 2022 and 2023 championship rounds, Oakie the Acorn from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) takes on Stony Brooks’ Wolfie in Round 3 of SUNY Mascot Madness.

The annual competition pits SUNY mascots against each other in an online voting competition to determine the fan favorite. Like the NCAA March Madness tournament, voting takes place in five rounds.

Round 3 voting runs from noon Friday, March 22, to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 26. Votes can be cast every 12 hours from any electronic device. Votes for Oakie can be cast here .

Oakie has a strong fanbase with ESF students, alumni, families, and employees, but with a student enrollment more than 10 times smaller than Stony Brook, ESF looks to the Syracuse community to give the Sea Wolf a run for his money.

“The third time is going to be the charm,” said Oakie. “I know I can count on the Syracuse community to help me show what a great college ESF is and how much our students, faculty, and staff do to improve our world.”

To get to the Elite Eight, Oakie went neck and neck – assuming acorns have necks – against SUNY Plattsburgh and Adirondack Community College.

Although I had to cancel my first appointment and rebook for another day, but everything was arranged comfortably. It was great having Andrew as my guide, in addition to his fluent English, he is punctual, polite and well informed about all details. He would use every single moment to make sure that everything is going as planned and he was always prepared to provide assistance whenever required. We took the metro from my hotel to the shooting range, everything was properly organized. By the time we arrived to the shooting center, the crew were not ready yet to start (waited 15 minutes), however, Andrew made sure to make use of this time via explaining some of the safety measures and guide lines in order not to waste this time in our time slot and to make sure I enjoy every bit of it and focus on just shooting. It was my first time shooting guns, but I still received the necessary training and instructions from the instructors in addition to the usual assistance by my guide Andrew. (best one-two combo in Moscow) Andrey is very knowledgeable, not only about Russian history but pretty much history in general. (Almost felt like he was a historian and not a guide) he answered every question in detail plus more, which helped provide a better understanding of Russian culture. We got to tour Sergiev Posad and the many monasteries surrounding the area with impressive architecture. Lastly, the Banya experience which i would highly recommend if you’re in Moscow. • Frequent_Flyer1978 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles The absolute best experience we have ever had I’m being factual (as opposed to melodramatic) when I say I have never ever had an experience like visiting the monastery with our guide, Sergei, from Put-in Tours. This review will cover both the monastery and the guide. The monastery is a bit of a drive but it’s not too far from Moscow’s city center. There are a few basic rules like no eating or drinking, no smoking on the premises, no selfies or disrespectful photos. Obviously, this is an active place of worship with monks and pupils live and pray so visitors have to be perfectly respectful regardless of their own beliefs. Keep in mind that the monastery is obliging visitors simply because they need the income to operate the magnificent facility. One thing to add here, we are Muslim and my wife wears hijab but we never felt unwelcome. The tour basically covers the history of the churches in cathedrals in the complex including the interior where you get a wealth of information about the ancient history of the buildings as well as the Soviet era when religions were banned and churches closed, sabotaged or demolished as well as recent history following the fall of communism and the lifting of religious restrictions. One particularly interesting aspect in this part of the tour is the climb up to the bell tower through extremely steep and narrow stairs but the view is more than worth the climb. Following this, you will be seated in a section of the monks dining hall. An apprentice will greet you and say prayers before you sit for a full meal that includes 2 salads, soup, main course, desert and traditional tea. The apprentice will come after the meal and offer to answer any questions you may have about the monastery. We were expected to spend 10 minutes max during this question and answer part but we spent almost an hour and left with many questions but we were ashamed to have kept the apprentice awake so late when he certainly must wake up in the early morning to prepare food for the monks. A quick walk through the monastery follows with brief history of other structures that were added at later stages to the monastery complex. Now, my favorite part of this review: the guide. We were blissfully lucky to have had Sergei from Put-in Tours. I wouldn’t know about other guides but Sergei was far, far beyond great. For lack of a better word, he was a gift from god. He knew practically everything about the history of the place and whatever he didn’t know he didn’t pretend to know and give us false information but rather he asked the monastery staff and got a full answer. He spoke fluent English (very rare in Moscow where virtually no one speaks English let alone speaks good English). On the ride in and out he was extremely friendly, sparked good conversations and was incredibly accommodating even though we over stayed the schedule by at least an hour. He translated instantly during the monk apprentice questions session and he even filled in the gaps when we had nothing to ask or say. My wife and I whispered to each other a few times “wow he is really a great guy”. We had some doubts about Put-in Tours (there was a bit of confusion earlier and plans were changed on short notice) but I confidently say Sergei was the best guide we’ve ever met in all our travels through the entirety of the Middle East, south east Asia, Europe and America. I threw a grenade at an Armored vehicle and wore an WW2 era Soviet Helmet during the whole thing. We were allowed to handle Soviet Weapons like Mosin Nagants, SKS-45, Markarov pistols or AK47s. Everybody was very nice and friendly. In the Museum we got to see a wide variety of rare tanks like a German King Tiger or Soviet Su-100Y, outside a lot of Soviet Tanks and Aircraft can be seen. I also tested an T-80 tank driving simulator, it was a lot of fun. The whole experience lasted an entire day and everybody was very happy at the end. Can only be recommended! My free tours Moscow city starts on Slavonic Square (Kitay-Gorod Metro Station), passes the world-famous St. Basil’s Cathedral, which was built by Ivan the Terrible on the south side of Red Square in the 16th century and where the tsars were once crowned. Then it goes across the Red Square at the Lenin Mausoleum, the luxury department store GUM and with a view of the Kremlin towards the historical museum. Of course, you will also learn more about the stories that once happened behind the thick walls of the Kremlin – from the Tsars and Napoleon to Stalin. Then we continue through the idyllic Alexander Garden.

«First acquaintance with Moscow» – a 2.5-hour city tour in the center of Moscow

This Moscow city tour starts on the Theater Square, past Lubyanka Square and the KGB-building, then through Kitay Gorod district and Varvarka Street, past the world-famous St. Basil’s Cathedral. Then it goes across Zarjadje Park, over Red Square at the Lenin Mausoleum, the GUM-department store and towards the Historical Museum. We walk through the Alexander Garden.

A 3.5-hour car/bus tour of Moscow.

This is the best tour of Moscow city as all the important sights are visited. I am your Moscow city guide who will walk you through the city explaining the charming history of the city. This tour begins with picking you up from the hotel. 3 breaks are offered for photographing.

First, we will visit the most famous riverside streets and bridges in the center of the city with the most beautiful views of the Kremlin and the Moskva River (e.g. the Kremlin embankment and the Great Stone Bridge).

The first photo break is made at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We then pass by the district with numerous museums, Prechistinka Street and the district with numerous medical areas.

We again stop at the Novodevichy Convent, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the other bank of the Moskva River to click pictures.

Then we visit “Sparrow Hills” where you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city of Moscow from the observation deck. Then there are the skyscrapers of Moscow-City, the Kutuzov avenue, the New Arbat, Tverskaya Street, the world-famous Bolshoi Theater, the KGB building and Varvarka Street. Here there are ample spots to click pictures.

We then drive past the Kremlin again and finally reach Red Square. We take a short tour of Red Square and say goodbye in the Alexander Garden.

Metro tour – daily

Palaces for ordinary people – that was what Stalin promised to the people when the construction of the Moscow Metro began between the World Wars. The communist dictator hadn’t promised too much. No other underground system in the world can boast such spectacular architecture – chandeliers, decorations, stucco, paintings on the walls – each station is individually designed. No wonder that Moscow residents love their metro. I will guide you through the bustle of one of the busiest subways in the world and show you the most beautiful stations Moscow city has.

Tour of Communist Moscow – every day

After the Communist October Revolution in 1918, Moscow became the capital of the Soviet Empire and was the center of socialist orbit for more than 70 years. This left its mark on Moscow, even if the USSR disintegrated more than a quarter of a century ago. The city streets are full of remnants of the communist regime and the Cold War. This is a walking tour where I will show you the most exciting places in Soviet Moscow: from the notorious KGB headquarters, also known as Lubyanka to the Karl Marx Monument to small hidden remains from the time of hammer and sickle. You will also learn about Stalin’s Great Terror political campaign and the system of the GULAG and how the USSR, the communist Russian republic, became modern Russia.

Alternative Moscow Tour – daily

Explore the unseen Moscow with your Moscow private guide and discover a range of sights during this alternative walking tour.  Away from the main tourist spots (in the central district of Kitay-Gorod), just a short walk from Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral, you suddenly find yourself in one of the trendiest districts of Moscow. This place not only has trendy cafes and green squares, but here you can see the most beautiful spray works (according to Albrecht Dürer), hangout-places of the youth and hipsters, as well as learn what Moscow looked like in the 19th century. Here you will also learn exciting and even bloody stories about famous gangsters, eccentric business people and legends like the wandering preacher Rasputin, who is known in Russia either as the “holy devil” or the mad monk. To learn a little more about Moscow’s culture, this is the tour for you. On my alternative tour, you will get to know Moscow away from the tourist hotspots. Kremlin tour – daily (closed on Thursday)

With its 20 towers and high walls, the Kremlin rises imposingly over Red Square. This world-famous fortress with its area of ​​28 hectares is home to over 800 years of Russian history. Described as the eighth wonder of the world, this historic fortress complex is the principal symbol of Russia that sits on the banks of the Moscow River. Today the Kremlin still harbors numerous secrets and has palaces and cathedrals, surrounded by Kremlin Wall. The current wall was constructed between the 15 th  and 16 th  centuries, but the original wall was made of wood around the year 1147. The Kremlin Wall became an important symbol of Moscow’s importance in the Russian Empire. This top tourist destination attracts millions of people every year and there are various sights to see. With my Kremlin tour, you will see the oldest square in the city in the heart of the Kremlin, the once largest cannon in the world and the scene of numerous dramas – from Ivan the Terrible and Napoleon to Stalin. 1.5-hour boat trip on the Moskva River.

Taking a boat tour in Moscow on the Moskva River is a very pleasant experience. It allows you to know the city from a totally different perspective and admire the beautiful bridges. In this 1.5-hour river trip, you will sail past many beautiful sites in Moscow, so you can take the best photos to commemorate this day. The ship makes several stops on the way. The trip starts from the Ustinskiy Bridge near Sarjadje Park and ends at the Kiev train station.

A military tour – riding on tanks in Stupino (Moscow region)

Russian Military is one of the largest military forces in the world formed in 1992. With my Military Tour experience what it likes to be in the Russian military, shooting guns, ride the Tank T-34 and various models of German tanks from the Second World War, as well as armored personnel carriers and vehicles. You will also shoot from the AK-47 and another combat weapon.

The tour will begin with your private tour guide Moscow in a Soviet army van accompanied with some tasty snacks and tea for a tasty start. Upon arriving, you will have to put on the army safety clothing and climb the Russian armored vehicles. The tour will take you on the noisy, smoky tank, driving through mud roads. All participants will get the chance to drive the tank which is coordinated by the Russian military.
