Coldplay Announce 2023 Tour Dates
By Matthew Strauss
Coldplay have announced 2023 dates on their world tour in support of Music of the Spheres . Next year, the band will perform in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Find Coldplay’s schedule and a trailer for the tour below.
Coldplay famously declined to tour in support of Everyday Life for environmental reasons. The band has set out to make the Music of the Spheres World Tour more sustainable, with a press releasing touting concerts powered entirely by renewable energy. Hints and tips for improving your chances of getting Coldplay tickets
Make sure you have a my ticketmaster account.
Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance – Ticketmaster.com.au .
Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time
Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.
Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’
Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.
Keep an eye on the clock
There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as you are progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).
Don’t refresh your screen
Stick to one window while you’re in the Waiting Room and when you’re being pushed through the Smart Queue and always resist the urge to refresh.
Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.
Remember: there are a lot of fans
We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is this popular, sometimes they go very quickly.
Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.
Coldplay will bring their Music Of The Spheres Tour to Australia in October 2024. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

Surprise Coachella drop-in announces new world tour dates
M idway through his barn-burning set, Bizarrap froze. For the last half hour of his set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., the DJ fired off a nonstop barrage of choppy, pulsing kick drums backed by an over-the-top assortment of lasers and visuals. Then, abruptly, everything stopped. For a moment the room, about the size of an aircraft hangar and fully packed with fans, hung in suspense.
Behind him a dark silhouette appeared, slowly rising on an elevated pedestal. It was Shakira.
Hands shot up in the air and the screens from recording phones lit up the room. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer, one of the most famous Latin artists in a generation, launched into their collaboration track " La Fuerza ."
"Good evening, Coachella! This is amazing," said the Colombian singer, speaking in Spanish to the buzzing crowd, when the song concluded. "Thanks so much, you don't know how much I enjoy seeing you. Thanks Bizarrap, thanks for inviting me."
"I can't contain myself," she continued in Spanish. "I have to let you all know something... I'm going on tour."
"Where are you going," the Argentine Bizarrap asked, knowingly.
"We're going on tour!" said Shakira to loud cheers from the capacity room. "Starting here, this November, in this city."
And with that the pair dove back in, Shakira dancing away and Bizarrap providing the beats. While a Bizarrap-Shakira collaboration had been whispered about across the festival grounds early in the day, nobody had been told about the possibility of a world tour. But then again, Shakira has been on a media blitz of late, so where better to announce her new run of show dates than at one of the most well-known music festivals on Earth?

By Lincoln Feast (Reuters) – Kelly Slater, the greatest professional surfer of all time, said “everything must come to an end” after his final season of full-time competition on the World Tour came to a close with defeat at the Western Australia Margaret River Pro on Tuesday.
Slater’s loss to current ratings leader Griffin Colapinto in the Round of 32 meant the 52-year-old misses the mid-season cut that reduces the field of the top tier World Tour by one-third.
While the 11-time world champion did not officially announce his retirement, Slater said he was heading into a new chapter of his life.
“Everything comes to an end, and if you don’t adapt, you don’t survive,” said Slater, who is awaiting the birth of his second child. “My motivation just hasn’t quite been there to really put in that 100% that everyone is doing now.”
Slater said he had struggled to recover from injuries and surgery in the off-season and broke down after second event of the year at Sunset Beach, where he told his partner: “This feels like the end.”
Fighting back tears after being carried up the beach stairs by fans following his loss on Tuesday, Slater said he had put so much emotion and dedication into his remarkable three-decade career.
“It’s not all roses, you know, but it’s been the best time of my life,” he added.
UNRIVALLED CONTRIBUTION
Slater’s contribution to the sport is unrivalled.
He became surfing’s youngest world champion at 20 in 1992 and its oldest at 39 in 2011.
He earned a record 56 World Tour victories, including his last just before his 50th birthday at Hawaii’s infamous Pipeline, drawing comparisons with sporting greats like Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods.
Slater redefined the sport in the 1990s, bringing a new era of explosive, fast-paced surfing with radical new aerial manoeuvres and deep, technical tube riding.
He also rode the waves of fame as professional surfing’s popularity exploded at that time.
Forming friendships with movie stars like Bill Murray and musicians including Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Slater appeared on numerous magazine covers and had a role on the hit show “Baywatch” whose star, Pamela Anderson, he dated.
Born Robert Kelly Slater in Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1972, Slater was talked about as a future world champ as a teenager and won six world titles, including five in a row, before his first attempt at retiring in 1999.
He returned to the tour in 2002, establishing a fierce rivalry with the late three-time world champion Andy Irons from Hawaii.
Slater went on to win a further five titles and has remained a threat against the best.
“You know why I was the best competitor ever?” Slater told two-time world champion Tom Carroll during the last event at Bells Beach. “Because my heart was stone and nothing was going to pierce it.
“I think people don’t understand what a life it’s been, this tour … I really don’t care about the contests very much now, it’s more just the memories, the experiences, the richness to my life.”

That includes quite a few stops in New York and New Jersey for the 2018 Rock Hall of Fame inductee.

“I’m rediscovering songs I have written and sung over the years – some that I only lived with for a few days while they were being recorded,” Hayward said in a press release regarding his last tour, according to All About The Rock .
“Now, I have a chance to experience the feelings that they gave me then, every night on stage, as well as including in our set the favourites that have been milestones on my musical journey. I’m joined by the ‘guitar genius’ that is Mike Dawes, along with Julie Ragins and Karmen Gould, two of the brightest talents in music.”

Missy Elliott announces tour with Ciara, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland — how to get tickets
Missy Elliott's first time headlining a tour will be with people who have been a part of her music since the beginning of her career.
The famed rapper announced her "Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience" tour on social media April 8 and shared that singer Ciara, rapper Busta Rhymes and producer Timbaland will be on the road with her. They have collaborated with Elliott on songs throughout her career.
"ATTENTION IT’S TIME," her caption read. The post was a video featuring Elliott, Ciara and Busta Rhymes in an intergalactic space as they try to figure out where they are. Elliott then calls who she refers to as Tim, most likely Timbaland, for help.
"These three icons come together to show you something you've never seen before," Elliott says in the video.
“'OUT OF THIS WORLD'TOUR across NORTH AMERICA!!!! With my family @ciara @bustarhymes & @timbaland This Spaceship will be Landing NEAR YOU RUN 4 COVER!" she added in the caption.
Elliott said in a press release announcing the news that she's in a season of firsts, even in this advanced stage of her career. She has released six albums and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2023. She also holds an honorary doctorate in music degree from Berklee College of Music.
“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts,’” she said. “Being the FIRST female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour."
She said there's been fan interest in her going on tour for some time, but she waited until it felt right to her.
"Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family! So get ready to be taken OUT OF THIS WORLD with me, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland! We can’t wait to share this experience with the fans!" she said.
The tour lineup could not be more exciting for super fans and is currently scheduled to have stops across the U.S. and in Canada during July and August.
Here’s everything to know about Elliott’s upcoming “Out Of This World” tour.
Why is Missy Elliott going on tour with Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Ciara?
Elliott has worked with all three artists over the years.
In 2019, Elliott wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Timbaland produced her 1997 debut studio album "Supa Dupa Fly" in just two weeks. Timbaland and Busta Rhymes are both featured on the "Work It" singer's first studio album.
Elliott has teamed up with Ciara on classic songs like "1, 2 Step" (2004) and “Lose Control” (2005).
How to get tickets to Missy Elliott's tour
Tickets will become available for Verizon presale on April 9 at 10 a.m. local time for each concert location, according to the press release and Ticketmaster .
Once presale tickets are available, fans can purchase tickets through Verizon Up until the window closes April 11 at 10 p.m.
