SHINEDOWN 's seventh studio album, will be released on April 22 via Atlantic Records .

On "Planet Zero" , SHINEDOWN is serving up an incisive look at some of society’s most critical issues, including the increasingly toxic division among those of differing ideologies, the need for honesty in our public discourse, and the corrosive effects of social media and cancel culture on mental health and humanity. The "Planet Zero" single rings the alarm with a cautionary warning that if we shut each other down, we risk losing empathy, respect for one another, and our ability to communicate and unify in a way that leads to actual progress and understanding.

Over the last two decades, SHINEDOWN has cemented its status as one of the most vital and forward-thinking powerhouses in modern rock. Their most ambitious and masterfully realized work to date, "Planet Zero" is a high-concept, ultra-vivid, viscerally charged saga. A critical yet optimistic look at the fractures and frays of a society that has undergone many challenges in recent years, the album is part social commentary and part in-depth exploration of the human psyche.

Produced by SHINEDOWN 's own Eric Bass (who also helmed the band's 2018 album, "Attention Attention" ),and recorded at Bass 's newly built Big Animal Studio in South Carolina, "Planet Zero" matches its immersive world-building and takedown of authoritarianism with a deliberately unvarnished sound. The album is spliced with interludes featuring Cyren , an insidious and unsettling robot character that appears throughout the "Planet Zero" journey. While a raw ferocity fuels much of "Planet Zero" on tracks like "The Saints Of Violence" and "Innuendo" , "No Sleep Tonight" , and "America Burning" , there is also hope, triumph, and reminders that we all need one another on songs like "Daylight" , "Dysfunctional You" , and "A Symptom Of Being Human" . After all, it is the band’s impassioned drive for unity that has long been at the heart of their creative output and deeply informed the making of "Planet Zero" .

SHINEDOWN will kick off "The Revolution's Live" tour beginning April 1, propelled by the undeniable power of Smith 's voice and their biggest stage production yet. Following this April and May run with special guests THE PRETTY RECKLESS and DIAMANTE , SHINEDOWN will head to Daytona Beach for Welcome To Rockville 2022 where they'll headline Saturday, May 21 alongside GUNS N' ROSES and RISE AGAINST . In June, SHINEDOWN will head overseas for a European run featuring festival appearances at Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring in Germany, Download festival in the U.K. and Hellfest in France along with select shows with IRON MAIDEN . The band will then embark on a run of Canadian dates beginning in July with support from POP EVIL and AYRON JONES .

The Pretty Reckless and Shinedown Team Up for 2022 Tour

The post The Pretty Reckless and Shinedown Team Up for 2022 Tour appeared first on Consequence .

The Pretty Reckless are a band that loves to play live, so it’s been hard for them to stay off the road. Now, Taylor Momsen and company have announced their first run of tour dates since 2017, a spring US outing supporting Shinedown .

Prior to linking up with Shinedown, The Pretty Reckless will perform two sold-out headlining gigs at the new venue Brooklyn Made on March 22nd and 23rd. From there, TPR and Shinedown will kick off a 24-date tour on April 1st in Spokane, Washington, with Diamante serving as opening act.

Tickets are available starting December 17th via Ticketmaster , with a pre-sale kicking off on Tuesday, December 14th (pre-sale code: BELLS).

Shinedown, meanwhile, will precede the spring trek with a previously announced month-long winter North American run featuring support from Pop Evil and Ayron Jones. That leg kicks off January 26th in San Francisco, with tickets available here .

Following the stateside outing, The Pretty Reckless will head overseas for gigs throughout the summer, including festival appearances at Britain’s Download Festival, Germany’s Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring and the Netherlands’ Pinkpop. They’ll also serve as direct support for Foo Fighters in Berlin.

The Pretty Reckless are touring in support of their 2021 album, Death by Rock and Roll , while Shinedown’s latest full-length effort is 2018’s Attention Attention .

Regarding the title track off Death by Rock and Roll, which is a tribute to the band’s late producer, Kato Khandwala, Momsen told Heavy Consequence ‘s Beyond the Boys’ Club column, “The beginning of the song starts with his footsteps walking down the hallway of the studio, so it’s very much a tribute to him from front to back.”

Beyond the Boys’ Club: Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless

She continued, “We wanted to make an anthem for rock ‘n’ roll, and even though it’s called ‘Death by Rock and Roll,’ it’s saying the opposite. It’s saying to live life your own way, go out your own way and don’t let anyone tell you different. That’s how he lived his life, and it’s how we we live our lives. Rock ‘n’ roll is more than music to us. It’s a lifestyle, and you live and breathe it. So, what better way to remember him and keep his memory alive than with music?”

In other Pretty Reckless news, the band’s 2014 album, Going to Hell , will be reissued on vinyl on February 11th. The set features the hit singles “Heaven Knows,” “Follow Me Down,” and “Messed Up World.” Pre-orders are available here .

Shinedown Are An Unstoppable Force On Their 2022 Tour With The Pretty Reckless And Diamante

The band have become arena rock giants with their biggest production to date

Shinedown live 2022 tour

Rock juggernauts Shinedown have officially outdone themselves. The Billboard hitmakers are trekking across North America on their Revolution’s Live Tour with special guests The Pretty Reckless and Diamante. The tour not only serves as a warm-up for their imminent Planet Zero World Tour, but also a notice that the band are now certified arena rock giants.

Shinedown’s commercial success is unparalleled. Just before this tour kicked off, the group scored their record-breaking 17th No. 1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with “Planet Zero.” It is the title track from their forthcoming album which is due out on July 1 via Atlantic. The song sees Shinedown flirting once again with a tinge of heavy metal, broadening the scope of folks who will deem the track a worthwhile listen.

Now, armed two new heavy-hitting singles, Shinedown are unleashing a mammoth live spectacle worthy of their hit-filled catalog.

Diamante kicked off the evening’s festivities. She started off with “Ghost Myself” from her latest outing American Dream (Anti-Heroine, 2021). The seven-song set was a balanced outing that featured material from both of her studio LPs. A highlight of the set was a thunderous cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ power ballad “Iris.”

She finished her time with the anthem “War Cry” from her debut album Coming In Hot .

Fans would be wise to get to the venue early to catch Diamante with bright lights and big production.

Next up, The Pretty Reckless took the stage. The band is touring in support of their latest album Death by Rock and Roll (Fearless). Led by wild child Taylor Momsen, the band paid homage to Chris Cornell with a cover of Soundgarden’s “Loud Love” at the top of their set. Other highlights included “Make Me Wanna Die,” “Death by Rock and Roll,” and the super-riffy “Going To Hell.”

“And So It Went” – the lead single from their latest album – had the crowd pumping their fists and belting out every word. The band did a great job of showcasing their new record and treating fans to some older hits. The ten-track set ended with the band’s bluesy number “Take Me Down.”

The Pretty Reckless roll on with Shinedown through May 7. From their the band heads to New York for a pair of sold-out shows at Brooklyn Made on May 17 and May 18. Throughout the spring and summer, they have a couple festival appearances on the books.

As Shinedown took the stage, two massive LED screens parted and all four band members emerged. Side by side, they walked the length of the stage that extended out into the crowd. They looked around, basking in the moment – the moment they joined the ranks of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, and others as bona fide arena rockstars.

shinedown tour 2022 opening act

They came out swinging with their hard-hitting new single “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo.” With enough pyro to torch a small town, the crowd went absolutely wild. They were witnessing Shinedown’s biggest production to date behind one of their best songs in years.

shinedown tour 2022 opening act

That was just the start however. Not even give the crowd a chance to catch their breath, Shinedown doubled down on the heaviness for the next two songs. “Devil” and the all-new “Planet Zero” gave fans something to head-bang to. The relentless power of the first three songs in a live setting were worth the price of admission on its own.

They took their foot off the gas a bit for renditions of “45” and “Get Up.”

From there, the show was a barrage of hits including “Fly From The Inside,” “Bully,” “Enemies, “Cut The Cord,” “Second Chance,” and others. The always powerful “Unity” seemed to bring everyone in the building just a bit closer. The band did an excellent job of previewing their upcoming album and pulling tracks from nearly their entire discography.

Shinedown wrapped things up with “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom).”

shinedown tour 2022 opening act

A quick acoustic set followed. First, the band paid tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins who passed away unexpectedly in March. They performed the Foo Fighters’ track “Wheels.” The beloved musician’s shocking death has left the rock community reeling and the Foo Fighters’ future up in the air. Not to speculate too much on the Foos’ future, but fans must be thankful for acts like Shinedown stepping up to carry the torch in times like these.

Shinedown’s own “Call Me” followed, then their famous cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” After concluding the set, the band returned to the stage to rip through their seminal banger “The Sound of Madness” for the encore. All that’s left to say is this tour would make for one hell of a live DVD.

shinedown tour 2022 opening act

Shinedown have been one of rock music’s most prolific acts for almost two decades. With five platinum and gold albums under their belt, Shinedown have become one of the highest-charting acts in music. The band boasts 17 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, which is more than any other acting in history – including The Beatles.

Their resume is extensive, and it’s backed up by their stellar live performances. With a voice that can be both aggressive and delicate, singer Brent Smith is one of rock’s most dynamic vocalists. He captivates the crowd night in and night out. Any conversation about the greatest frontman in rock history that doesn’t include Brent Smith is an invalid one.

The Revolution’s Live Tour rolls on through May 7, wrapping up at the Thomson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN. In September, Shinedown will launch their Planet Zero World Tour with a string of U.S. amphitheater shows. The month-long trek concludes with an appearance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA on October 9.

CONCERT REVIEW: SHINEDOWN’s Planet Zero Tour Brings the Musical Heat to Mainsfield’s Rainy Tuesday Night (September 13th, 2022)

shinedown tour 2022 opening act

This past Tuesday night the Planet Zero World Tour rolled into the Massachusetts’s Xfinity Center on a very humid, on and off rainy night but that didn’t stop the fans from showing up to tailgate in the parking lot a few hours before the doors opened. Games were being played, grills were smoking, and friends were being made getting ready to rock out while waiting. Hosting this tour was the one and only Shinedown . They brought some Tennessee boys out on the road with them to kick off this leg of the tour for some long exciting nights.

Opening up the night was John Harvie , an upcoming rock and roll artist with a hint of punk. During the pandemic he decided to take the music thing seriously and being asked to tour with one of the biggest names in rock and roll, he definitely made the right choice. Coming out on stage in a leather coat and pants was a bold move considering how hot it was in the crowd, let alone the stage! He actually made a comment about how it was not the right choice. The band behind him was energetic as each song was too. The seats weren’t full just yet, but he had some fun crowd interactions with getting hands up and waving side to side. Normally I would name off the band but it seems like he is more of a solo artist with backing musicians since I can’t find anything about them. With this tour he is supporting his new album that just dropped a few months back called “Told ya.” I have listened to it a few times and it’s a solid album. All in all, J ohn Harvie was a great half an hour act to open up this show.

The 90,900 capacity venue started to fill in more while the second act was getting ready to hit the stage. That being the rugged Tennessee king of music right now, Jelly Roll . Personally, I have been a huge fan since I discovered him listening to a rap playlist. Yes, a rap playlist. He has taken some hard moments in his life and has created music for a few genres connecting with so many people such as rap, rock, and now country, connecting the genres and making some amazing music. He entered the stage with a massive smile on his face and his amazing band ready to entertain us. As he introduced his band you knew it was a family.

Two badass guitarists, a rippin’ bass player, a fun jammin drummer, along with a DJ and a synth player. While introducing the band they played a mashup of music with songs rolling into one another, like ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘99 Problems’ ,which by the way Zach Myers joined him to rap, and ‘Smells like Teen Spirit’ . Again, showing how clearly all sorts of music has shaped his style. Jelly Roll told the crowd he didn’t expect MA to show up for them, but the echoing of everyone signing the songs proved otherwise. People held up signs saying how his music saved their life, which he called out on stage to say he would be signing all of them which was really neat since I’ve only heard how humble this man is. Constantly pointing to fans, making eye contact, and signing along with them.

Usually photographers only get to shoot the first three songs, however, he allowed us to do what we love to do for his whole set! Again proving how humble he really must be. The stage presence was on fire. Literally, fire. Pyros popped off in almost every song at the right times when the bass drop would hit or the drummer ( Cody Ash ) would stand up to come down to smash on the toms, and all the sudden my face was melting. It was a great experience. “We came here together as a family” he said and you can just truly believe he meant it as we all felt it. Highly suggest you either check out his music or don’t miss a live show if it rolls through your town.

AT this point the arena was looking packaed, even though it was a “school night” and the weather wasn’t ideal. The twenty one year experienced band, Shinedown was about to take the stage. Not without a half hour stage set up taking place beforehand. Two massive screens stood on stage as the place went dark. It showed a montage from the tour and then into them presenting the album they are promoting on this tour, “Planet Zero” . The two massive screens then opened as the four members came out in a line to greet the screaming crowd. They then walked to their instruments and the show began.

Playing a variety of hits all night, from old to new, new to old, this polished band knows how to put on a show. An actual act. The band is a maestro and we were the orchestra. After the first two songs, they all bowed and lead singer Brent Smith said: “Welcome to our show”. Each member was charismatic, commanding the stage they stood on. They paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at the end of a song playing a quick 15 seconds of “Hero” as Brent kissed up to the sky, which I thought was a class act, and they truly are.

Shinedown is represented by power house lead singer Brent Smith , well-known guitarist Zach Myers , bassist Eric Bass , and drummer Barry Kerch . As I said before they know how to put on a show: at some point Eric Bass told the audience that he wanted to bring a baby grand piano to Mansfield but it had to be suspended above the stage and it had to light up as he played it, well the hard working road crew made it happen, it was something I have never seen done before. Along with the massive light equipment that moved during every song to the band’s performance plus insane pyro and fireworks going off. It was an experience to say the least.

Watching friends, couples, and families sing to one another with huge smiles across their faces, you could feel love in the air. “What do you think the meaning of life is MA, it’s a very bold question but I ask you,” calling us a home to the band, “ Well in our opinion it’s to live it. Every single day.” said Brent Smith . He made all of us feel that on Tuesday night. After having our minds blown and our hearts filled with happiness with music, Shinedown brought out Jelly Roll to the stage to have him and the entire crowd sing ‘Simple Man’. Seeing thousands of cell phones lights light up the venue, this night ended tremendously. I could write about this performance for another page honestly, it was amazing. I never want to miss a Shinedown show again seeing this two hour performance.

The Planet Zero World Tour has been taking over cities the last few months from the UK to the US and they are not stopping til the end of the year. If you can get out to this tour, please do it. You will absolutely regret missing one of this shows.

Review: Shinedown offers sounds of madness in spectacle at Spokane Arena

Diamante opens for Shinedown at Spokane Arena on April 1, 2022. (Taylor D. Waring/For The Spokesman-Review)

Hard rock radio kings Shinedown launched their national tour and kicked off the spring show season at the Spokane Arena on April 1. With support from the Taylor Momsen-led the Pretty Reckless and Diamante, an up-and-coming hard-rock starlet, the evening was a delight for hard rock fans in Spokane.

Diamante, who appeared onstage in a bedazzled, glamorous catsuit, opened the show. With big diva energy, the relatively nascent artist gracefully won over the crowd with her stage theatrics and powerful vocals. By the end of her set, she had warmed up the crowd with her hard-rocking tracks like “American Dream” and “Haunted.”

The Pretty Reckless, led by former actress Momsen (“Gossip Girl,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”), took the stage after a roaring crowd. Since 2009, the band has used a Billy Idol-esque formula to bring their brand of no-holds-barred hard rock.

Momsen’s gritty, catchy hooks and guitarist Ben Phillips’ scorching leads worked the hard-rocking crowd into an uproar (maybe not as much as Momsen briefly flashing her behind). The band performed many of their hits from their past decade of material, including “Make Me Wanna Die,” “Follow Me Down” and “Death by Rock and Roll.”

Headliners Shinedown appeared onstage in front of a giant pair of LED screens to a brief video referencing the COVID-19 pandemic. The band launched their career in 2003 with their gut-wrenching post-grunge suicide note “45” and their famous cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

Throughout the evening, Shinedown performed explosive (literally) performances of their radio hits, most of which focus on themes of individualism and overcoming adversity. They did so on a massive stage complete with moving lights, pyrotechnics and a piano riser that appeared and disappeared onstage throughout the night.

With a high-end production, the band’s two-hour performance was highly engaging and rife with fan engagement. During nearly every song, the crowd was singing along with enthusiasm. This was especially so during performances of their biggest singles like “Second Chance,” “45,” “Fly From the Inside” and set-closer “The Sound of Madness.”

The band did an impressive job balancing their hard-rocking songs with moments of tenderness. Throughout the night, the band played several acoustic and piano numbers, including a cover of the Foo Fighters “Wheels” and their famous cover of “Simple Man.” Singer Brent Smith did have some “creative approaches” to his performance of “Simple Man.” We’ll chalk it up to opening night nerves.

Shinedown is due to release their next record, “Planet Zero,” on April 22. Fans were treated to three tracks off the new record, including the live premiere of “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo” and the world premiere of “Daylight.”

While catchy, these new songs seem to be a bit of a departure from the band’s traditional, uplifting lyrics for the laymen as the band (and hard rock in general) seems to be shifting toward slight-right pandering and post-Trump nationalism. But, what’s a rock show in 2022 without creating a safe space to chant “freedom” and bemoan cancel culture?

In the wake of bands such as Creed and Nickelback, rock witnessed a resurgence in the 2000s, aided later by Shinedown. Originally comprised of vocalist Brent Smith, guitarist Jasin Todd, bassist Brad Stewart, and drummer Barry Kersh, the band inked a recording deal with Atlantic Records soon after forming.

Shinedown’s debut album Leave a Whisper was released in July 2003, immediately introducing the band’s melodic rock sensibilities to a large audience. Featuring the singles “Fly from the Inside,” “Burning Bright,” and “45,” the album charted at No. 53 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified platinum. Following the release, the band embarked on an extensive touring schedule, which lasted until the end of 2004.

Shinedown’s sophomore album Us and Them arrived in October 2005, led by the No. 1 Active Rock Chart single “Save Me.” Subsequent singles included “Heroes” and “I Dare You,” the latter of which was used by the WWE in promotion of “WrestleMania 22.” In support of the record, the band toured on the 2006 SnoCore Tour alongside Seether and Flyleaf, as well as with Trapt on the Equinox tour.

Following Us and Them, Shinedown underwent considerable membership changes. The 2008 lineup consisted of Brent Smith, Barry Kersh, guitarists Nick Perri and Zach Meyers, and bassist Eric Bass.

The group’s third full-length release Sound of Madness appeared in July 2008, after which guitarist Nick Perri left the band. The album was produced by Rob Cavallo, known for his work with the Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day, and peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. While it was led by the single “Devour,” the subsequent Billboard Top 10 single “Second Chance” proved a real breakthrough for the band, earning triple platinum certification.

The full-length Amaryllis followed in March 2012, charting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Marking Shinedown’s most successful release to date, the album earned strong reviews from critics and spawned the singles “Bully,” “Unity,” and “Enemies.”

In addition to playing incredible shows and releasing a steady supply of innovative music, Shinedown also continues to use their voice for good. Viewing fans as family, Shinedown’s artists leverage their fame to help support notable charities, give-back programs, and organizations dedicated to bringing awareness to inequalities. Organizations that Shinedown helps support through proceeds include Ecologi, the American Red Cross, ASPCA Animal Rescue, DC Strong, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Direct Relief, Backline, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Heal Autism Now.

The vast number of programs that Shinedown partners with showcases the band’s dedication to making the world a better place. From fighting climate change to improving access to healthcare for musicians, Shinedown is far more than just a group of performers. This is just one of the many reasons for the strong bond between Shinedown and their dedicated fan base.

Live reviews

I really had a great evening, this was my first time seeing them live and they were a lot better than I expected. Brent did talk a lot during songs, sometimes telling us things about the band that were sort of necessary but other times it almost seemed like he kept talking just so he wouldn’t have to play. I was also shocked to realise only 3 songs of their new album were performed; Attention Attention (the album title as well as a song) wasn’t even played, and instead they relied on material from the early 2000’s which I was unfamiliar with (I only know their last two albums in depth). The crowd loved it and could all sing along (so maybe it was my fault for not recognising as much) but I am still confused why the band came on stage with the start of Attention Attention playing and to not even perform that song on stage. Brent wore a jacket with the ‘!’ of the album cover which was also featured on the drums so it all seemed that the evening would be full of new material and still they didn’t go into their new album as much as I’d hoped, they did about 3 songs each from each record. This doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great time, on the contrary, but it didn’t make sense to me that the new album had come out months ago and 75% of what they played was old material.

Let me begin this review with a disclaimer... I LIKE SHINEDOWN. I always have. I've been to many good shows of theirs. This, however, was not one. At first I thought that Brents vocals were too quiet because of sound issues. I soon realised that the issue was more complicated than that. All new tracks where heavy synth is used was louder for vocals than the older tracks (which I'll admit I vastly prefer) where vocals were lost. Now, if I were being a bit cynical I might put this down to him not being up to the task of performing these anymore. Being generous I'll assume maybe the difference in mic or setup caused the discrepancy. For me though, this was the final problem in an already flawed show. The other, more minor complaints were the setlist - which was heavy with new material and ignored a fair few of my older favourites and, even more minor and probably more my issue than anything else, was stage presence - Anyone remember the days when you didn't get a pious lecture about music and music fans?

Long and short of this, I'd give Shinedown another shot hoping they returned to performance style of yesteryear because I really do like their music. If they didn't improve though, I'd be spending my money elsewhere.

I have seen Shinedown in 7 different cities for 16 different shows since 2003. The shows have been at small bars and all the way up to large venues and stadiums.

The reason I have seen them this many times is because of the live show they give you, makes you want to come back for more. Every show is very energetic and very engaging. Their shows are great if you are on the front row or all the way at the back of the venue.

They will play any number of their hits, with the occasional cover or fan favorite that is not a single. Every song has its own build up and intro that keeps you wanting more.

Lead singer Brent Smith has an unbeatable stage presence and the voice to back it up.

In recent years, as their popularity has grown, their stages feature pyro and flames that you will only see with the biggest of acts. With all the distractions, don’t expect them to just stand there and play thinking that is enough. All of the band members will be moving all over the stage constantly engaging the crowd.

If you are going to be front at a show, Shinedown is definitely one of the best to be front at.

I love listening to Shinedown's music and I bought Attention Attention. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 was my first time to see Shinedown live in concert. They did not disappoint me. All four band members were full of energy on stage and very engaged with the entire audience (or so it seemed - that's how good they are.) They also sound as good live as they do on their albums which is often not the case with many bands. And the bass player and lead guitar player sang backup and their harmony was spot on. The lead singer briefly explained the meaning behind some of their songs. He also walked onto the floor several times and interacted with the audience on the upper decks and the crowd was very polite and gave him room to perform. Their light show is also very good. Lots of laser lights and designs. The only complaint I might have is there was too much smoke used and at this particular venue it became overwhelming to some. I liked Shinedown live in concert so much, I am purchasing tickets to see them again in a August with Godsmack. Shinedown is phenomenal live!!

Epic concert, awesome performance at a great theater. it was insanely hot but by the water Jones Beach kept cool. Brent sand awesomely but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of songs from the new album. They sang Get Up but that was it. They also only sang their most popular songs but almost none from their first few albums and none at all that weren’t their most famous. I would’ve liked to hear some more somgs that weren’t as popular as I’ve heard them many times. It was great that they coheadlined with godsmack as they put on a kickass performance also. They really create the classic rock atmosphere with their fans. The crowd was on fire from shinedown and godsmack kept it alive. It also seemed to me that Brent’s voice sounded slightly different, maybe it was mechanized or something because it sounded higher pitched. I’m gusssing he lost his voice over the tour and had to compensate, better that than cancel the show, this was also the last show of the first leg so they’re taking a break. Altogether best concert I’ve ever been.

Since hard rock band Shinedown in 2001 they have enjoyed huge global support from a large, loyal fanbase. The group has built a large reputation on this support and they are always held in large acclaim when they visit the UK due to their anthemic and passionate mannerisms when conducting themselves live.

They command arenas with their presence and their music, lead singer Barry Kerch has an ability when addressing the crowd to make it feel like he is talking directly to you as opposed to baiting a crowd of a thousand strong. The instrumentals are also designed to fill arenas, Shinedown are known for having a large sound but this is amplified in a live setting as they tear apart the sound barriers and really rock out. The crowd joins them in this atmosphere of carnage, as they throw themselves around and mosh along, lift each other onto shoulders and crowd surfing towards the front. Shinedown appreciates this and asks for more mayhem during finale 'Bully' which of course the audience happily oblige to.

I have never seen Shinedown before last night. I knew they were going to be good, but I didn't know HOW good. This was literally one of the best concerts I have ever attended. Shinedown as a band, but especially the lead singer, are true performers. The lead singer doesn't just stand up there and sing and do a few cool little things he OWNS THAT STAGE! He has a perfectly executed act that draws in the crowd, and leaves you wanting more. Also, I give these guys mad credit for performing the entire show in suits. The Lead singer was pouring sweat but he remained Unphased and you would never know it was happening unless you were close enough to see the poor man was like a leaky faucet (we were right next to the stage). He never once stopped to wipe the sweat off of himself, but did in fact help his band members and wipe their sweat during an instrumental section. This band does not disappoint! 10/10. It's an amazing thing to experience a true performance. Will definitely be seeing them again.

Shinedown have risen in the ranks of hard rock stardom since their formation in 2001. Although a slow process, the band is far from reaching international mainstream success, the band has nonetheless made quite a name for itself in the hard rock genre and has mustered a whole legion of dedicated fans since their formation. The band is popular with rock fans in the UK and it was only too clear how dedicated and devoted their fans were at their concert. People were singing along to every word, the lyrics so well known by them that they could recite whole songs by memory. Lead singer Brent Smith was the man of the show and led the band with his incredible vocals. The band were all brilliantly talented musicians and the energy and excitement levels of the crowd did not waver all night, kept alive by the energy and enthusiasm of the band members themselves, on stage. The entire night was electric, with a mix of fan favourite classics and less well known singles being played.

As always the band was great! This was my 8th time seeing them. They sang about 19 songs some old some new. They were dynamic and interacted with the crowd. We were there at 4:00pm and were one of the first in line, but we were not able to enter this venue due to people walking up to the front, pushing, or just disrespectfully shoving their way to the front having just gotten there. This was completely unfair to those who were early as well as were waiting standing for hours to see one of the greatest bands up close. We ended up towards the back!!!!! The venue NEEDS to do a better job keeping the crowd organized/fair (adding ropes) to those who actually took the time to go early. As much as I love Shinedown and have gone to other states (HOURS AWAY) just to go see them, I would NOT go see them again if they visit this venue again.

Last night I saw Shinedown for the first time. They were co-headlining a tour with FFDP and had Sixx Am and As Lions as "opening" acts. I've never heard of As Lions but I was very impressed and will hear more of them. Sixx Am took the stage next and killed it. It was my first time seeing Sixx Am live as well. The sound was amazing. Next up was Shinedown...I've never seen them live but I love this band as well. The performance was amazing and the interaction with the crowd was great. My only "complaint" would be the sound man had them entirely too loud. I love my music loud but when you couldn't understand what Brent was saying...but the performance was amazing. FFDP ended the show and like the first two performances were nice and loud but not deafening. I will definitely see Shinedown (and the other bands) again. Rock on!!

“ a symptom of being human ” jumps into the top 25 at hot ac radio .

Multi-platinum, chart-topping band Shinedown has announced their upcoming fall leg of The Revolutions Live Tour, co-produced by Live Nation and FPC Live, with support From Papa Roach and Spiritbox.

The fall run of shows  starts off in St. Louis, MO on September 3, kicking off a 26-date  run of fall  headline shows and festivals .  Tickets are on sale this Friday May 5th at 10am Local at  LiveNation.com.   Various presales will be available Wednesday, May 3 through Thursday, May 4.  VIP packages featuring exclusive access available for  purchase . Full tour routing below. For all show/ticketing details for the fall dates and previously announced dates please visit  www.shinedown.com.

This week, the band’s hit single “ A Symptom of Being Human ”   jumped into the  Top 25 at Hot AC Radio.  Unfolding with gentle acoustic guitar, soaring strings, delicate piano, and a powerful vocal delivery from front man  Brent Smith ,  “A Symptom Of Being Human”  celebrates the beauty of our individual differences and embraces the ups and downs of life ,  while showcasing  Shinedown’s gift for making us feel connected through our common humanity.

This follows Shinedown’s recent #1 at Active Rock Radio with   “Dead Don’t Die.”   The  single notched Shinedown their  20 th  #1  at the format .  It became the most spun #1 song at the Active Rock format in a single week since 2016 when Metallica’s “Hard Wired” hit that milestone, and it is also the most played Shinedown #1 in one week at Active Rock. The defiant track, featuring pummeling drums and searing off-the-rails guitar solos, is a rousing declaration of survival and an anthem about the resilience of the human spirit after trying times.

Shinedown is currently on their spring tour playing to sold out arenas across the country, with support from  fellow chart-toppers  Three Days Grace and From Ashes To New.  For this current run of shows, Shinedown has  partnered  with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to donate $1 for every ticket sold.

The  Planet Zero   album   debuted in the  Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart and the Official UK Albums Chart,  and at  #1 on six other Billboard charts  including  Top Album Sales, Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums Charts . Featuring searing and incisive tracks like  “Dead Don’t Die”   and #1 rock hit  “Planet Zero” ,   as well as uplifting and unifying songs like the  soaring pop-rock anthem and #1 rock hit  “Daylight,”     Planet Zero  boldly   confronts the societal forces that perpetuate divisiveness while offering a restorative path forward through empathy and open conversation – ultimately serving as a reminder that it is our human connections that matter the most.   The band’s video for “Daylight,” set to the Amazon Original version of the song,  is a love letter to their fans and shows the impact that the song’s message – that you are never alone – had during Shinedown’s sold-out Planet Zero World Tour.  PRESS HERE   to watch.

WHAT PRESS IS SAYING:

“With 20 number-one singles (including their latest hit ‘Dead Don’t Die’), more than 10 million albums sold, and a staggering 6.5 billion global streams, their hard-hitting style has become the soundtrack of a generation.” –   Men’s Journal

“Shinedown are not just a band that plays culturally relevant music, they are a movement in themselves for the greater good, for seeing the best in each other and, most importantly, to not give up on humanity, even when it seems so increasingly bleak out there.”  Under the Radar

“Superstars Shinedown continue their creative evolution…Taken as a whole,  Planet Zero  continues Shinedown’s good work but widens their stride. Most of these songs could stand alone, but together they’re the work of a band unafraid of veering from one side of life’s road to another, and of rock stars totally in tune with the people who put them there.” –  KERRANG!

“’Daylight’ is the most powerful of pop-rock songs created to remind us that we are truly all in this together.” –  PEOPLE

“… intelligent, uncompromising rock… a fiery epic that’s delivered as sci-fi but is actually a trenchant dissection of the surreal and fractured state of our very own world.” –  American Songwriter

“We’re lucky to have  Planet Zero  as a warning flare. The album is Shinedown’s most strident statement yet. From cancel culture to Twitter addiction to divisive politics, Shinedown take shots at the forces that undermine our shared humanity.” –  GRAMMY.com

“a blatant warning—lose connection and lose humanity.” –  Parade

“…a high-concept treatise on societal affairs during the past 22 months, including the travails of living through a pandemic, the pitfalls of social media, mental health issues, political divisiveness, partisan media and cancel culture.” –  Billboard
